Anybody have any idea what the eyes vignette was all about? I thought maybe Luke Harper but it didn't sound or look like him.

I'm psyched for Big Show vs Henry!
  3. Jon Heidenreich forgot to use his arms executing a double suplex on PPV and almost killed someone with an electric chair drop, he should be mentioned. 2005 Legion of Doom was occasionally watchable so I guess he has that going for him.
  4. Honestly, I think the crowd noise is sweetened there. The crowd doesn't look like they're reacting anywhere near as much as Gorilla and Johnny would like us to think, and 1986 WWF was never exactly subtle. Pretty sure they already knew where Honky was headed before this was televised. Were MLG shows broadcast live? When X is"reacting" to the crowd, look at the crowd.... Cool find though!
  5. Damn, that's heated. Had no idea wrestling existed in Iraq. If al-Kaissie's wiki is to be believed, he brought wrestling to Iraq at the request of his classmate Saddam Hussein?
  6. Sabu says they brought him in for 500 a night and tried to turn his 500 a night into a contract. Since he would only be working two nights a month he didn't take the deal since he would only be making 1000 a month. He also said they wanted him in the Cruiserweight division and he didn't want the label.
  7. Can somebody more numbers-oriented than me explain what they were expecting and what would be considered successful ?
  8. Maybe I'm biased since I never was a fan of the ECW garbage style, but I stand by it. I know he was doing stuff that was unheard of in 1994/5, but his legacy at this point is pretty much no showing events, missing 75% of his signature spots and throwing fits afterwards, and asking every fan who ever attended an ECW show if they have any weed. Hell one of his most famous moments was giving Chris Benoit his Crippler name by botching a backdrop. Plus he managed to be unprofessional enough to get told to GTFO by both WCW and WWF/E (twice!) despite being a relatively hot commodity at the time. I'll be fair and state that maybe there's an amazing Sabu match somewhere that I've never seen that would prove me wrong, but it seems like he's more or less a case of Paul Heyman managing to convince everyone the Emperor was wearing a fancy suit of clothes. Sabu was fired by WWE not WCW, he refused to sign a contract in 95 and Paul cockblocked him in 2000. Either way I don't see what that has to do with being the worst wrestler ever.
  9. I agree, which is why I mentioned the average fan.
  10. In a perfect world, the average fan wouldn't be talking about the British Bulldogs as pioneers of tag team wrestling, they would be talking about The Fantastics.

    Sheamus

I wouldn't rank Sheamus for the same reasons many wouldn't rank Marty Jannetty, I can't rank a guy based on what ifs. No doubt is Sheamus a great wrestler but he lacks so many other things that I look for. No real emotion in his work. No hatred, no sympathy. He's been programmed against so many guys but has never really had a feud. His matches are always good but they're almost always forgotten in a week. A lot of these things are the promotions fault and not his, but I can only rate him on his resume not potential.
  12. Double Trouble?

That Henry turn rocked. Got legit heat too outside of a few chanters in the crowd. I GOT MORE WHERE THAT CAME FROM!

I'm all for Randy Orton giving us Psycho Sid promos to laugh at from here on.
  16. Bischoff made WCW turn a profit when it never had before. Regardless of what happened after that has to be considered a success. If no Bischoff does WCW die earlier?
  17. Is it just me or is Mercury/Noble fun as a new Patterson/Brisco?
  18. I'm looking forward to a b-show 2011 Chris Masters style Luke Harper push. "Shrugs"
  19. Goldust is Benjamin Button, somebody reads this board
  20. Rollins and Ambrose need to have a great match tonight. A great match, not a good match. The spotlight is on and I hope they deliver. I have no doubt that they can, I'm just not sure they will.

We really need these moves explained in a courtroom setting.

I don't even think I've seen that move in WWE until DiBiase Jr.

I'll admit, I kind of marked out at the list of "dangerous" moves.
  24. Nothing beats New Jack and Terri Runnels.
  25. I wasn't aware that New Jack matches were added to the network, at the initial launch they were left out due to the music editing complications. Must be a new development.
