Great show. I do agree with the point that a lot of the gimmicks are too cutesy to work on the main stage.

Holy shit, listen to JR on the Art of Wrestling, he was last week's guest. Basically turns every one of Colt's questions into a complete trashing of today's wrestling, even if it has nothing to do with the question. EDIT: Just finished, and holy shit what an asshole. I'm not the biggest fan of Colt's interviews but JR had in mind exactly what he was goong to be saying and what points he was going to hit, it did not matter at all what Colt was going to ask him. Feel bad because Colt goes in enthusiastic and by the end you can tell he's just done with it.

I don't think 1990 Hogan would job for Tyson either.

I will say this, if I'm booking a dream North American promotion, I'll take the production of WWE, the episodic TV of Mid-South, the talent of Crockett, maybe some of the early edge of ECW, etc. There isn't a damn thing I would take from TNA.

I haven't seen them since they first aired, but Evolution at least had some good tags over the Summer of 2004 with the Raw babyfaces. Legacy has nothing. Vince: "You know who's great? Randy Orton. You know what would be even better? Three Randy Ortons!"

Dean's appeal is in the execution. His peers will always put that over and it's probably a big reason why he's an agent. He's like a better Christopher Daniels.

That's kind of why I'm digging them. Because I have no clue where any of it is going and unpredictability is something that has been lacking.

Randy Orton as a delusional heel who thinks Cena vs. Orton is a marquee match in 2014 is hilarious, intentional or not.

There was actually an ECW chant on Raw during an RVD match not too long ago. Haven't heard one of those in ages.

Is this just televised canon moments? Hogan vs. Rock has to be considered not just for the match but I firmly believe that's where nostalgia became cool which led to different revenue streams like DVD's, Hall of Fame ceremonies, the Network, etc. You still see it today, every WrestleMania they need to book that "dream match" where as before they would utilize their roster and maybe some celebrities.

I get that it's not a real HOF and all, but Stacy? Torrie? Even by the low standards already set that just seems wrong. Neither girl was ever even a contender for one of the ladies' titles.

I think the point is that WWE doesn't need the footage. I don't think TNA footage is going to make or break a Kurt Angle or Sting DVD. I have no problem with TNA not existing in WWE canon. They can briefly mention it in passing but I don't feel the need to see them go into detail about the many turns of Angle or Fortune or Immortal or any of that shit. As far as putting content on the network, who the hell wants to go back and watch Impact chronologically? There is no value there, plus TNA has most of their footage commercially available unlike the territories.
