Nitro was brand new and they still had plenty of other shows they were running angles on. It's not like now where Raw is the only show that "matters."

No Goldberg vs Rock to kill his heat right off the bat in 2003. Do Goldberg vs. HHH maybe a month or two in. Have Evolution screw him and then he chases over the summer. Don't care that Orton and Batista were hurt. Use Flair if you have to.

Good show guys, this is my most hated period of watching Raw. The only people I liked on the roster at this point were Stevie Richards and Rodney Mack. Horrible.

I'm just not of the mindset that getting a ten minute verbal dressdown from someone is a rub, no matter who it is. I understand that that's what WWE thinks, but I will never agree with it and they do this shit way too much now. Brock Lesnar didn't back down from Hogan in 2002, and you can argue they're all at the same position on their respective card.

It didn't hurt but I hate how they keep sending this message that nothing now will ever be as good as the past. They have done a better job protecting Rusev than most people in recent memory, it didn't make sense for him to just stand there and listen to Rock talk for ten minutes. They could have had Lana slap Rock and Rusev blindsides him. Nobody looks dumb and you take a huge step forward in legitimizing Rusev.

I'll be in the minority and I don't care. That segment was so counterproductive and a total waste.

What's the earliest footage we have of them as a team?

I always loved how professional their photography looked. As a kid I remember drawing from those pictures over and over again, covering my folders and notebooks. Does anyone remember the tribute issues they did for Owen, Andre and Pillman? I could never find those and always wanted them. Distribution around me consisted of just the main magazine and all the Apter mags. Raw magazine and WCW Magazine availability was spotty however I did subscribe to Raw. We never got any of the "Spotlight" issues or any of their side projects. I remember finding a Superstars of Wrestling magazine when I was on vacation. It was a two page spread on each guy with a bio, pics and stats. That thing blew my mind when I was seven.

That vignette was very well done, I've been waiting for them to do madman on the loose Luke Harper since he cut that promo months ago after Bray disappeared for a couple weeks. Getting him away from the Wyatt family will only help him.

IMO Davey peaked in the team with Owen. Are there any examples out there of Davey carrying a lesser opponent to something good? I like the Warlord Mania match, can't think of any others off the top of my head.

There's a reason why Austin wasn't showing the kids how to bump on Tough Enough. I don't wanna see him in a "let's just work around your obvious handicap" match like Vince and Bret. Do people really wanna see Austin in that type of a match? What are you expecting?

How bad is Austin's neck anyway? I remember the general consensus around 2003 was that he would be risking his life by ever stepping in the ring again. Why does his name keep coming up every year?

If you keep bringing back past stars at Mania you condition fans to think that everything was better back then and the current stars are not important, so don't bother watching the remaining eleven months of the year. How counterproductive would it have been to (theoretically) run Hogan vs. Savage at WrestleMania XIV? Eventually guys like Rock, Hunter, Taker won't be physically able to do one match a year. Then what?

This being WCW, I would assume she was still under contract, just not being used. I vaguely remember rumors that she was WWF bound in 1998 because of a Fantasy Warfare article they did with her vs Sable. But yeah, that's still odd how she was used.

Check out the Henry vs Goldberg bounty match from Raw in 2003 for an example of good early Henry. Nice sense of urgency to everything he does that you don't immediately associate with his pre-Hall of Pain run.
