I thought this was a poll in the nominee thread for a second hahaha.

He had good chemistry with Sabu. I'm curious what you'll think of him when you get there with the TNA project. From what I've seen they nurtured his worst instincts. He and Styles in particular were a bad influence on each other with finisher reversals/spamming.

I know the ladder match they had after the feud already had a blowoff isn't looked back on fondly. Jericho considers it his favorite match of his, but he also admits he's never watched it and it's largely symbolic of the feud to him.

If Rick Martel had stayed healthy everyone in the company should have tapped to the Quebec Crab until he was champion. I don't know if anyone that stopped following WCW would have stayed, but I would have.

Everything I'm coming up with would end up winning most disgusting promotional tactic.

My only criticism of Owens/Cena is that I felt they could have taken one nearfall out of the finishing stretch. For me at least, it was the senton bomb that felt a little much. I believed most of those nearfalls on a visceral level though, which is what I really need to love a match. Execution and wrestling smart is great, but at the end of the day I watch wrestling for that very rare moment where I'm transported back to being a kid. I know that's not the intent of a lot of the analysis on this board (which I love), but it's still what does it for me.

I feel for every poor bastard that's going to be sore for the next two weeks trying to heat up crowds that didn't care in matches layed out like shit.

Goddam. I'd have that right behind Reigns/Lesnar for WWE moty. Hopefully Owens won't be returning the favor all Summer.

New Day doing the Lucha arm pump made me laugh way harder than it should have.

Why is the Miz dressed like Death from the Seventh Seal?

I'd imagine that the female audience is as high as it's ever been right now in regards to WWE. A lot of that is because of the rise of geek culture making wrestling and female fandom more socially acceptable. Otherwise World Class seems like it would be the safe bet. The ladies loved them some Von Erichs.

The show is called Impact Wrestling. The promotion is still TNA. But they were so unclear about that when they rolled it out in a rebranding effort that it's been confusing people for years.

Memories from the video rental store
(BP) replied to Cross Face Chicken Wing's topic in Pro Wrestling
My town had a small store that was put out of business by West Coast and Blockbuster when I was ten. The sports/fitness section was right next to the porn curtain, and it was comprised of WWF stuff from about 87-93, Jane Fonda workout tapes, and Foxy Boxing. There was no WCW, and the only NWA tape they had was Starrcade 86. I remember renting it and being disappointed as it only had one of the closed circuit feeds and was missing a bunch of matches advertised on the cover. -
WWE have gotten the maximum value out of Kane despite his limitations, but he was rarely depended on to draw anyway. There's maybe a sports analogy that escapes me for the argument for Kane in the WON (like about career batting averages...or something), but I don't see it.

Destination America is picking up ROH. This story is the gift that keeps on giving.

I like the story they're telling with Cena right now. He got destroyed by Brock, then Rusev got to him by pointing out that he's at the back end of his career. He's trying to prove that he hasn't slowed down or lost a step with the open challenge, but there's hungry new talent taking him to the limit (Neville, Zayn) and guys he used to beat handily aren't going down so easily anymore (Stardust, Ryder). How the story progresses or if it's just dropped so he can go back to the main event remains to be seen.

I think this is pretty much it. The only thing I can envision working is two simultaneous programs, one involving a Total Divas/catty feud and another being a workrate feud based around competitiveness. That would mean at least twice as much time for the women, so it probably won't happen.
-
Every time I laugh at this stuff I feel bad shortly thereafter since there are so many people that depend on this nitwit to support their families.

They should be doing Flair for the Gold at least once a month to advance angles, even if it's just on Smackdown so they can edit if necessary. It shouldn't even be the main event programs, but the guys who aren't there yet on promos so he can get over the importance of a feud or a title.

WWE-era Flair matches where he got in a lot of offense always seemed like a big deal. The Raw match with HHH and the one with Angle where he pulled out some suplex variations felt special.

Dixie Carter hires you to create a LinkedIn profile for her. How do you spin her history and skills to make her a desirable job candidate? -
Flair/Brisco and Flair/Lawler are the first two that pop in my head, but I always thought Flair was really fun in a studio setting.

The problem is Coyote's offense is overshadowed by all of the crazy bumps he takes. It's going to take years off of his career too. -
They had reunited and put the makeup back on only a couple years earlier, so their nostalgia tours were really huge at the time. That said, I'm pretty sure the episode of Nitro they were on was the lowest rated in the history of the show.
