  1. Then again maybe you use Reigns and a very long reign to make the title mean something again.
  2. Shawn Michaels won't make my list, despite being in at least one ****3/4 match.
  3. Timothy Thatcher, most likely.
  4. Not a chance. On the indies there was nothing impressive about him, and outside of his great tag work with the Shield his WWE run has been disappointing as well.
  5. That's some pretty lazy booking right there actually. The LU guys shouldn't be wrestling the LU guys, and the EVOLVE guys shouldn't be wrestling the EVOLVE guys.
  6. Outside of his European Uppercuts he's not that good at striking, but usually he sticks to throwing the European Uppercuts which I really like.
  7. Thanks for all the answers. The promotion name I've found in various places is Gulf Athletic Club with the TV being called Houston Wrestling. Anyone have any info on that?
  8. Such a terrible looking move to boot.
  9. With my first question I'm pretty much asking whether the card would be National Wrestling Alliance or Southwest Sports, or something else as the promotion name?
  10. Questions about Harley/Andre: 1) What was the name of Boesch's promotion? Was it just NWA Houston, or did he just run as the NWA? 2) The venue this is taking place in is The Summit, yes?
  11. I usually use CageMatch and WrestlingData as my got resources for info. If those don't have something then it's a crapshoot as I scour the internet for anyone who may have the info/dates/events/results I need.
  12. Of the current crop of great indie wrestlers he's below guys like Thatcher, Gulak, Busick, Perkins, Hero, Kong, and a few others. Of all those guys really only Hero and Thatcher have a shot of making my list. The problem with Sabre is that while he's been pretty great in 2014-15, he was fairly mediocre in the years previous. He had the bad habit of working matches so that they felt like exhibitions as opposed to actual wrestling contests. That resulted in a lot of bad and overly choreographed matches, but an even larger number of decent but disappointing affairs and always due to the lackluster effort from Sabre.
  13. I hate, hate, hate that spot. Undercuts the Superplex in every way.
  14. Beyond Wrestling: Battle of New England (08-31-2014) Jonathan Gresham vs. Timothy Thatcher Read about it on Blue Thunder Driver.
  15. As stated originally, I like Perkins a lot. He's able to wrestle a blended style where he can mesh really well with other high flyers and more grapple heavy guys. Not sure how he is on the stick, or if he has any sport of personality. But, in between the ropes he's a really talented guy who is overlooked more often than not.
  16. I can, and will watch all of them, I am usually able to separate the art from the artist's personal life. That being said I place a lot of stock in remorse and rehabilitation. You show that and I'm way more likely to not take any issue with you in any capacity.
  17. EVOLVE Wrestling: 42 (04-18-2015) TJ Perkins vs. Timothy Thatcher Read about it on Blue Thunder Driver.
  18. The second, from July of 2014 I believe is still online. Their first encounter, from January, has disappeared into the ether,
  19. All have been added to the list
  20. She's the most talented by far. But, in one way or another a combination of Becky, Charlotte, Alicia, Nattie, Nikki, Paige, Emma, and Bailey is a good grouping of talented workers that can make good stuff happen. It all depends on whether or not Vince/Dunn/Creative are willing to see them as individuals with unique positives and negatives to their skill sets.
  21. Dean is a national treasure, always will be.
  22. This conversation has morphed into something else. But, as for the original point I think a middle ground is the preferred route. You can't have all clean finishes, but you can't have too many chap finishes either. A lot of it comes back to the way they do their feuds these days. Most WWE feuds are about 3 PPVs long, if that. It wouldn't be hard then to build those feuds as a series of cheap finishes leading to one decisive finish or as a mixture of clean and cheap leading to one decisive clean finish. WWE doesn't think they can do this, and realistically they can't, because of the star rule that Matt brought up, but more because they don't believe the feuds are good enough that people come away strong unless they have a series of clean finishes.
  23. It'll probably be good, but the fact that WWE no longer seems to understand the importance of long term booking is a bad omen for this company for the next few years.
