  1. I made the 87, 88, and 89 fresh face lists primarily because in doing research, a lot of guys appear to debut on different years. This way we can start those lists and compare them to the ones we are working on to give a more clear idea of who is debuting when.
  2. Rock N Rolls to the WWF on July 6th please.
  3. Rock N Roll Express on June 9th and June 30th for the WWF please.
  4. WWF NEWS Is Vince McMahon really suing Andre the Giant for breach of contract? - There is talk of this circulating right now within the wrestling industry. Andre was present at the Saturday Night's Main Event as the Giant Machine but left soon after. It is said that Hulk Hogan was the one trying to mediate between McMahon and the Giant. Vince feels as though he should have control over Andre's dates along with his business enterprises in Montreal. The recent allegations of tampering with regards to the Montreal Forum, Toronto Maple Leaf Gardens, and issues with Lutte International set this issue in a tailspin. Additionally, Andre the Giant is said to be making around 10-15 thousand a week in Japan for the tours which is a little more than he makes with the WWF as they don't use him consistently. This could be a major coup and something to keep a close eye on over the summer. WWF is planning a big summer tour! - The WWF looks to continue its loop of towns through the United States while adding in a city here and there. The WWF has three big shows over the next month to really kick things in gear for the summer. June the 9th is the Summer Showdown from Los Angeles, June 30th is the Royal Brawl from Chicago, and then July the 6th is Saturday Night's Main Event from Houston. These trios of shows should effectively end and begin new storylines for the summer while also setting into place the alignment of some of the top stars. Stars changing hearts -We saw the "turn" if you will of Roddy Piper on Saturday Night's Main Event. While not a full fledged babyface, he will be pitted against more heels down the line but could always switch his motives. Randy Savage has been very subtle about his attempts to become more of a heel and this could come full circle by the end of the summer and him being pitted against Hogan for a title for title series. Jake Roberts has also been getting a lot of cheers lately and the WWF has been working on a way to package him to become a top level babyface. Some new faces -The WWF is looking to add some new workers to their crop while some of the others fade out. Expect Jack Lanza to finish up his run here over the next couple of weeks and become more of a worker backstage. His playing days are done but still has a good mind for the business. The British Bulldogs have all but given their slips to the WWF but still have contracted dates. No word on where they will end up. Mark and Jay Youngblood are not happy about being split up as a tag team and even though the storyline has legs, they may be looking for somewhere else to work in the future. There have been a lot of names circulating around to potentially bring into the WWF but the one I keep hearing is Sika. This could be a big get for the WWF as he is yet another Lutte International talent they have been able to sway. Afa and Sika have set up shop in the Pennsylvania area and have been courted but Sika may come in as a solo act. The Rock N Roll Express has also been toyed with. They are not as well known in the North but do have some name value and the WWF has thought about bringing them in to feud with the Harts due to the injury of Tommy Rogers.
  5. Continued success here in Japan. Of the upcoming card, I would like to have seen the Lawler and Jumbo team q good bit. The Giant main event tag is also high on my list. Looking forward to more!

  7. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Machines_(professional_wrestling) I think the big reason was to piss off Heenan. They put over how everyone knew who the Machines were and it was just foil to make Heenan upset. I think that is part of what is going on here but I will let everyone know that the payoff to this whole thing is going to happen and will hopefully be enjoyable for everyone. I have got it planned out and look forward to letting it loose.
  8. -Early reports from SNME have been very good. The time slot helped but not having "Hulk Hogan" may have been a detriment. While the Hulk Machine was in full force and then he showed up later in the show, there were a lot of NBC executives who wanted a WWF Championship match. - The next SNME is schedule for July and already has a major headline match with Nikita and Ivan Koloff taking on Hulk Hogan and Hillbilly Jim. Expect some individuals like Randy Savage to be more featured on that broadcast with the Intercontinental Championship. - Speaking of Hogan and Nikita... the seeds were planted and the next night in Chicago Hogan faced Ivan with Nikita interfering. No word on if it will be on the circuit, but this is going to be the big feud headlining the summer and it is excepted to do monster numbers. - The seeds for the Rowdy Piper turn have been planted with him being a Machine against the the Heenan Family. Heenan is without a doubt the number one heel now and it was easy fodder to move Piper against him... on the flip side... the subtle hints of a Randy Savage turn have really been heating up. If they do the double turn, it could provide some great matches for the summer and even the big feud that could be with Savage and Hogan down the line. - Word has it that the British Bulldogs were irate after their encounter with Hernandez and Adams. The crescent kick from Adams on Davey Boy was a little stiff but made to look that way to help with the visual. When they came to the back it was a 2 on 1 against Adams with Dynamite throwing a punch before Hernandez got involved. It was Randy Savage of all people that settled things down along with the Hart Foundation. The Bulldogs lost to the Harts on Sunday night in an advertised match but the writing may be on the wall for them.
  9. MATCH #2- U.S. Jr. Title Shane Douglas pinned "Superstar" Bill Dundee once again with a 'belly to belly suplex' in 3:15 to win the U.S. Jr Championship….afterwards Douglas quickly slid out, grabbed the belt, and exited the studio as Dundee was having a meltdown in the ring as the fans went wild! Absolute craziness... biggest upset I have seen in this game.

TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Gino Hernandez & Chris Adams © defeated Tony Atlas & Dino Bravo INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP Randy Savage © defeated Brutus Beefcake The Machines defeated Studd & Bundy The Hart Foundation defeated the British Bulldogs EIGHT-MAN TAG Mark Youngblood & The Guerreros defeated Jay Youngblood, Ron Bass, Black Bart, & Jack Lanza
  11. WWF Superstars Vince McMahon & Jesse the Body Ventura Matches from Poughkeepsie, NY – Mid-Hudson Civic Center Dino Bravo defeated Barry Horowitz -A good showcase for Bravo who looks pretty good and building towards a big push. Jesse and Vince put over how he will be joining Hulk Hogan on the Forum in Montreal for a colossal tag team match against Harley Race & Greg the Hammer Valentine! Dino hits the sidewalk slam for the victory and he looks good tonight. King Kong Bundy & Big John Studd w/ Bobby Heenan defeated The Invaders -A lot of hype around a big tag team encounter tonight in Chicago with Studd and Bundy taking on The Machines. Bundy and Studd destroy all 3 Invaders tonight in a handicap match and look strong as they prep for that big showdown tonight. Tony Atlas defeated Bart Sawyer -The big man, Tony Atlas looks Stronger than ever… pun intended… tonight as he handles Sawyer with ease. He gets the big press slam for the victory and flexes for the crowd. Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth defeated Rick McGraw -Tonight it happens… we finally see the Macho Man snap a little bit as he throws Rick McGraw out of the ring to the floor and he is going to go and kick him but Liz steps in front and tells him no. He points his finger right in here face and you can see he is hot! He throws McGraw back in the ring and we see him nail the double axe-handle and then the flying elbow for the finish. He makes Liz open up the ropes for him and then he goes up the aisle working the fans. Vince and Jesse argue hard about this one as Vince is irate and Jesse says that she should treat him better! EVENT CENTER -Mean Gene is in the event center going through the events from Saturday Night’s Main Event. Greg Valentine & Brutus Beefcake w/ Jimmy Hart defeating Dino Bravo & Tito Santana -Gene puts over the big tag team encounter and how Valentine and Brutus seemed to be working on the same page. They said there was some miscommunication with Bravo and Santana which led to the fall. WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Gino Hernandez & Chris Adams © defeated The British Bulldogs -Gene puts over the dominance of Gino and Adams and how they controlled the contest from start to finish. He really puts over the finishing suplex – elbow drop. Gene also points out the kick to the skull on Davey Boy that took him out of the contest. The Machines (Super, Strong, Giant, Rowdy, & Hulk) defeated The Heenan Family (Race, Studd, Bundy, Haku, & Barbarian) w/ Bobby Heenan -Gene really puts over the SPECIAL Machines… Rowdy, Giant, and Hulk Machine. He points out how well they worked and how the Heenan Family was all sorts of messed up from the outset. We then see a picture of the Rowdy Machine… Nikita Koloff w/ Ivan Koloff defeated Hillbilly Jim -A lot of time spent on a short segment with Nikita Koloff destroying Hillbilly Jim before Hulk Hogan come out to make the save. We see Ivan Koloff holding Nikita back as the SNME crowd went wild!
  12. 5/18/85 WWF Presents: Saturday Night’s Main Event Detroit, MI – Joe Louis Arena – Night’s Main Event Hulk Machine: Well you know something… all my Machiniacs out there know that tonight is one of the biggest nights for the Hulk Machine and my brother Machines. Tonight we put an end to the Heenan Family and what are they going to do!! Dino Bravo: You know something… tonight… NBC… bright lights… haha… Tito it is going to be the perfect setting to put Valentine and Brutus right where they belong! Tito Santana: That’s right Dino… tonight we are the ones who set the stage… we are the ones who make the rules… and tonight we are the ones who may just break the rules! ARRIBA! Jimmy Hart (w/ Brutus and Greg) You know something baby… everyone has been talking about Saturday Night’s Main Event for weeks now… but my Dream Team right here has been training for this match… Tito Santana… we have got a history with you that comes to an end tonight… and Dino… you are in the wrong place at the wrong time… HAHAHA! Ivan Koloff (w/ Nikita): Tonight the message of the Kremlin will become clear… they have chosen Nikita… his path… his destiny has been foretold and tonight we begin that path… there is nothing that this man can’t do and you will see that! Bobby Heenan: People have been telling me to worry about the Machines tonight… well those are five individuals coming together for the first time… this right here behind me is my family… and it isn’t the first time they have been together and it won’t be the last… we are taking off the masks tonight! Vince: Welcome everyone to Saturday Night’s Main Event, right here on NBC! I am Vince McMahon alongside Jesse the Body Ventura… Ventura: McMahon this is what I am talking about… NBC… prime time baby and all my Hollywood friends are watching! Vince: They have certainly got a great card to look forward too… a 2 out of 3 falls tag team match… the tag team titles on the line…. And of course… Jesse: Haha… Nikita Koloff is here and like Ivan said… tonight the summer of terror is going to begin! Vince: It is time to get things going right now with a big 10-man tag… who do the Machines have? Jesse: They couldn’t pay people enough… Vince: Perhaps the Hulk Machine has got some friends!!! -We get the entrances of the Heenan Family as they are really working the crowd… then we see the Machines come out… Strong and Super come out and introduce… HULK MACHINE… then they announce… GIANT MACHINE… then… they introduce…. ROWDY MACHINE!! MAIN EVENT 10-MAN TAG The Machines (Super, Strong, Giant, Rowdy, & Hulk} Versus The Heenan Family (Race, Studd, Bundy, Haku, & Barbarian) w/ Bobby Heenan -The crowd is white hot for this huge match up as we kick things off in a big way. We get all 10-men in the ring at some point or another and even a glimpse as to who the Rowdy Machine is… -Like most matches of this caliber, the crowd is white hot when it all breaks into chaos. We see Super and Strong take Bundy and Studd out of the ring to the floor. Giant and Harley are doing battle while Hulk and Rowdy Machine double up and nail the Barbarian with a big double boot. Hulk hits a leg drop while Rowdy puts Haku in a sleeper for the 1….2…3 pinfall on Barbarian by Hulk Machine. The crowd is white hot as the Machines work the fans and go to the back while McMahon and Ventura put this through the roof! *COMMERCIAL* -We are back with Jesse and Vince putting over the Machines and then we see behind the scenes footage of Heenan just going off on the Family before they walk off on him… They build up the history with Valentine and Tito. We go to the next big contest… TWO out of THREE Falls Dino Bravo & Tito Santana vs Greg Valentine & Brutus Beefcake w/ Jimmy Hart -A pretty good 18-minute contest with some really good tag team action. The crowd gets going early when Tito hits a flying forearm on Brutus Beefcake and gets the 3-count. The second fall sees Jimmy Hart get involved when Dino was trying to suplex Valentine in the ring but he grabs Dino’s leg and Valentine gets the 3-count. We have another official come out though and tell the referee what happened and he sends Jimmy to the back. Our third and final fall is a fun one with Tito and Bravo really going to work on the Dream Team. In the final moments we see Tito go for the flying forearm but Valentine ducks and he nails Bravo out of nowhere who was pushed by Brutus. Tito isn’t sure what happened as Brutus grabs him while Valentine rolls up Dino for the 3-count! A hard fought match with some controversy at the ending. Dino and Tito don’t walk together as there looks to be some bad blood. *COMMERCIAL* -Vince and Jesse are back putting over the tag match and pumping up the big tag title match soon. They put over how Hulk Hogan will address the fans coming up a little bit later as they put over the tag festival and the big Summer Showdown in Los Angeles in a month when the Machines get their title shot at the champions. We cut to the ring for our next contest. WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The British Bulldogs vs Gino Hernandez & Chris Adams © -A good 12-minute contest with both teams putting together some strands of tag team excellence. Gino and Adams are transforming into something special and we see it right before our very eyes. The final moments see Davey Boy Smith getting just LIT UP with a crescent kick by Adams that sends him out of the ring to the floor. This gives Gino and Adams a chance to double up on Dynamite and finish him with a suplex-elbow drop combo for the 3-count. Adams and Hernandez look strong here as Jesse and Vince put over how they will have the Machines to deal with next! *COMMERCIAL* Mean Gene: Welcome back in here folks… joining me is Rowdy Roddy Piper… or should I say the Rowdy Machine? Rowdy: Haha… I love it man… you just don’t know what will happen next do you Gene? Mean Gene: I guess not… are we seeing a change of heart for you? Rowdy: Absolutely not… you know back in January I told the world I wanted the Heavyweight Title.. I told the world I didn’t respect Hulk Hogan… well… I am standing here today and saying… that I have an ounce of respect for Hogan. He and I fought in every city in this country. We fought on the biggest stage. We fought it every type of match. I won some… I lost some… but I kept fighting… and so did Hogan. They gave me a chance to put a little mask on and fight the Heenan Family… and well… hell… I thought it would be fun… but don’t you go thinking things have changed… I am as Rowdy as ever and don’t you think for a moment you’ve got the answers… cuz I just changed the questions! Mean Gene: There we go fans… Rowdy Piper still as Rowdy as ever… who knows what the future holds… right now we have got Hillbilly Jim in action against the Russian Nightmare… Nikita Koloff. Hillbilly Jim vs Nikita Koloff w/ Ivan Koloff -A very interesting contest with Hillbilly and Nikita. Hillbilly has got the fan behind him and gets in some decent shots for about 2-minutes before Ivan yells out something in Russian and the Nightmare is unleashed. Nikita just absolutely destroys Hillbilly and it isn’t pretty. We see him nail two Russian Sickles and Hillbilly is in a very bad way. The referee steps in and calls for the bell as this one is over. Hillbilly cannot get up but here comes Ivan and he nails the referee before wrapping the Russian chain around Nikita’s arm before he runs and just destroys Hillbilly! Vince and Jesse are going nuts as here comes the agents and officials but Ivan and Nikita are fighting them off. Ivan then hoists up Hillbilly one more time and Nikita just destroys him again! The crowd then explodes when Hulk Hogan is shown coming out to the ring. Ivan and Nikita back out of the ring and go up the aisle. Hogan is checking on Hillbilly who looks to be in a very bad way. Hogan looks out and challenges Nikita to come back in the ring but Ivan holds him back as the crowd is going nuts! *COMMERCIAL* Mean Gene: Fans welcome back and I am joined right now with WWF Champion Hulk Hogan… Hulk we saw some big events tonight but perhaps none bigger than the attack on your good friend… Hillbilly Jim by Ivan and Nikita Koloff. Hulk Hogan: Well you know something Mean Gene… push came to shove tonight brother and there aren’t too many men that can handle the attack of two guys… let alone two bad dudes like Ivan and Nikita Koloff. Now what you saw out there… that was the worst kind of act dude… there was honor in teaming up on a guy… there is no honor is using a chain to try and cripple a man… but there is honor in answering a challenge… Mean Gene: A challenge…. Hulk Hogan are you challenging Nikita Koloff? Hulk Hogan: You got that right dude… you see Nikita Koloff… we are doing this Saturday Night thing one more time and next time we’re live and Prime Time on NBC brother… I am challenging you and that low down Uncle of yours. You see I am going to train with Hillbilly… I am going to get him back to 100% and WHATCHA GONNA DO WHEN the Hillbilly and the Hulkster RUN THE RED, WHITE, and BLUE RIGHT THROUGH YOU!!! Mean Gene: Fans there you have it… Hulk Hogan sets the challenge out for the Russians… will they answer the call for the next Saturday Night’s Main Event on July the 6th. Fans it is going to be a wild one… back out to you Vince and Jesse… -Vince and Jesse put over all the night’s action and really pump up the July 6th edition of SNME from Houston. They put over the Tag Team Champions and all the big action tonight… we will see you tomorrow on Superstars!
  13. WWF Wrestling Challenge Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby The Brain Heenan in studio Matches from Poughkeepsie, NY – Mid-Hudson Civic Center The Fantastics defeated Los Conquistadors -This was actually filmed before Rogers broke his leg but we do see the “spot” in which he flies over the top over for a cross body. Gorilla and Bobby put over how he tried that move over the week and ended up breaking some bones in his leg but hopes to be back soon. They get the win tonight but one has to wonder how this injury will impact the Fantastics over the next 9-weeks. Brutus Beefcake w/ Jimmy Hart defeated Skip Young -A good showcase for Brutus who is really starting to develop here. The match is short and he is protected as he finishes off Skip Young with the sleeper and he looks primed for his tag team match tonight! SIX-MAN TAG The Guerreros w/ Mark Youngblood vs Ron Bass, Black Bart, & Jay Youngblood w/ Jack Lanza - We have been waiting for this one for quite some time. These six do battle for a good 12-minutes before chaos ensues. We see some good moments of action before the melee ensues. As officials and agents come out… they announce that next week on Wrestling Challenge… it will be a special eight-man tag team match with Mark Youngblood and Jack Lanza joinin the action! EVENT CENTER WWF Presents: Saturday Night’s Main Event Detroit, Michigan - Joe Louis Arena Mean Gene is in the event center as we get quick hits from some of the combatants… Hulk Machine: Well you know something… tonight under the bright lights of NBC in primetime dude, me and the Machines are going to join together to be the strongest force in all of professional wrestling. The Bobby Heenan Family is going to be flushed right down the tube! Harley Race: Hulk Hogan… I know it is you under that mask… but it will only hide you for a moment… because tonight I am going to get my hands on you… I am going to show you why I am the King… and I am going to CROWN YOU!!! Gino Hernandez: You know Chris… tonight the world is going to see you and me defend these tag titles… but they also get to see our newest set… Chris Adams: Right here we’ve got the Mexican Titles… here we have the Japanese titles… and around our waists are the WWF Titles… there is no team better in the world… Gino Hernandez: Bulldogs… tonight you get spade and we are going to be the ones chomping at the bit! Davey Boy: You know gold is only as valuable as you believe it to be. You may have three sets of titles… but there is only one we want. Dynamite: Adams… Hernandez… you two have got awfully big mouths for two men… well tonight we put a muzzle on you and get our tag titles back! Tito Santana: Greg Valentine… you and me brother tonight have got teammates but it is you I am looking for. It is you who I am coming after. It is you I am going to put an end too! Greg Valentine: I have got the Hammer ready and Tito Santana… the world is going to watch me put you down tonight! Hillbilly Jim: Well I am awfully excited about fighting tonight on NBC… I know Nikita is going to be a tough opponent but boy doggie I have got my mud stomping boots on and I am coming for a fight… Ivan w/ Nikita Koloff: This man is unstoppable. This man is indestructible. This man is a true immortal. This is the Russia Nightmare and tonight he will destroy Hillbilly Jim and begin the Summer of Terror all over the WWF!
  14. -There is a lot of excitement surrounding tomorrow's Saturday Night's Main Event. While the show is being hyped as a Prime Time event, it will actually be taped around 5pm in the evening to air at 9pm Eastern. To keep too many fans from knowing what happened, the show will tape for around 90-minutes and then be followed up with regular matches that have been advertised to include a Hulk Hogan v Harley Race WWF Championship match as the headline. This would mean that the WWF would be working double time to get the event aired and if they needed re-shoots to do it in that time before getting it to broadcast that night. - There is no word on who the other Machines will be joining Super and Strong... while we did see Hulk Machine, no word on the other two. Andre the Giant was heavily rumored but his relationship with the WWF is on such bad terms, he may end up staying in Japan for the duration of the tour.
  15. You and Lutte really need to be put over for your abilities to co-promote and use each others talents. I would encourage others to try this model as it not only makes a "super roster" of sorts, but it really adds to the ability to create some great matchups. Now the age old question has to be answered.... Barry or Magnum... who is the next in line?
  16. Arn Anderson. The best ever to me. Strong pick. Daniel Bryan? AJ Styles? Those feel like the big ones in my mind. i agree on all accounts and perhaps day in and day out is what it is all about. The one thing that kind of puts Eddie over the top for me are the lack of true squash matches he had. You got to see Arn beat the piss out of guys a lot in the 80s. With Eddie, he has pretty decent quality matches in that Nitro run and had some good talent which may help his status. I would say Rey could be up there as well but he seems a little spotty (pun intended) for my tastes. Danielson and AJ are definitely prime candidates right now for best tv match workers on the biggest stage.
  17. I agree with what others have said in line of using the freelancers. This is a perfect example eon how to use them well and build the show. And like Gene said, the placement of your matches helps build the guys you have while still putting value in the ones you are bringing in.
  18. I love this Flair vs OMG pairing... to me it has some real legs and helps Flair get the babyface pop which in real life at this time he was doing well I believe. I don't know how much the Crippler has left, but Magnum TA is getting a serious rub out of all of it. Then you've got the Ragin Bull who has got a serious upside at this point in his career. Keep doing work!
  19. NWA World Tag Team Championship: The Rougeau Brothers NWA United States Heavyweight Champion Magnum TA & Barry Windham in 20:23 to retain NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Ric Flair beat Ron Garvin in 25:57 to retain Sign me up for these two matches... sell outs anywhere in North America... except New York... har har har. For real, spectacular use of the joint program and fun cards to see.
  20. A couple of things... I really like the champion run down in the beginning... shows how stacked your roster is. I know we have ideas but Chris Benoit is a very small dude at this point in his career... using him the way you did with the Herders was a good move. I like seeing the MXE join up here... Anderson is a good foil at this point but may not help get them the legit heat they need, but that is why they have Cornett.
  21. You've got a quiet young tag team roster building up here... I like the looks of it in the long run. Interesting to see Bullet Bob lose... that is a huge feather in the cap for Ole.
  22. Is there a better tv match worker than Eddie Guerrero? His 95/96 Nitro run is one of the best and just puts on good and fun match week in and week out.
