Since Brian was talking about attending the USWA/SMW Sunday show in Louisville, thought Id back him on it. We would go to the Gardens every week, sit ringside. And hes correctthe fans that went to the Gardens still believed. And the crowd was wild that night. He was probably there when this happened, but myself and a buddy went out toy hunting (yeah, we are nerds) and were on our way to a Target just outside of Louisville. We decided to stop at a Thorntons Gas Station near there since they had a Subway inside. We were standing in line and who is in front of us? Mark Curtis. We tapped him and said, Hey are you Mark Curtis? He looked at us kind of weird and said, I am. We thanked him for putting on a fantastic show tonight, that we attended the Gardens each week and had a blast tonight. He said thanks, talked with us a few minutes, etc. (DLo was in line behind us) Years later, I got to talk with Tim Dalton and Rob Moore since all of us are fans of Filsinger Games Legends of Wrestling. Both were there that night and were at the Subway with Curtis. They said the group thought we were going to jump Curtis, but just relieved we were just wrestling fans. I loved that night. The last great night of kayfabe.

That's why I am trying to do it in six month intervals instead of a year. I agree, a yearly one is tough to tackle

I should add, PeteF3 just put out a great JCP bootleg set last week you can use with Filsinger Games. You should give it a look. http://filsingergames.proboards.com/thread/15498/presenting-legends-jim-crockett-promotions In addition, I'm beginning to work on a Memphis year by year set, starting when Jarrett broke off from Gulas in March of 77 until Jarrett formed the USWA. A LOT of work with research, wrestling stats, doing the art for the sets...so even if you arent a fan of the actual game, but Memphis rasslin, check it out when I finish.

Exile on Badstreet #11 (The Most Known Unknown)
UKWildcat replied to KrisZ's topic in Publications and Podcasts
Small correction: Koko never lost his mask (while wrestling as Stagger Lee). He actually came out and unmasked, which brought out Jimmy Hart who was demanding Eddie Marlin to suspend him (for violating the terms of the loser leaves town match against Eaton) Marlin came out and used the excuse since Hart or any of his men failed to unmask Koko in the time he was supposed to be gone (from losing the loser leaves town), then Koko was free to begin wrestling again. Hart then feigned a heart attack/fainting from the (ridiculos) ruling from Marlin. But Hart and his men failed to unmask him, or wrest the Mid America title from him (although he dropped the title while wearing the mask to Frankie Lane) -
Since we have a few ffans of Filsinger here, if I add some bootlegs, feel free to check them out. I just added the New Breed and (AWA) Bad Company

Exile on Badstreet #11 (The Most Known Unknown)

As someone who has watched Memphis from 1981 until they closed, I can't wait to listen. Love hearing others POV on the product I love so dearly. -
Can you watch/listen to anything Steve Austin (domestic abuse/Wwe 2K poster boy/WWE HOF)? Can you watch anything with Booker T (felon having committed armed robbery/WWE HOF)? Can you watch anything Jimmy Snuka ("allegedly" killed his girlfriend/WWE HOF) Can you watch anything with Mike Tyson (convicted rapist/WWE HOF) If you answered yes to any, you should be ok watching Hogan because what they did is 100 times worse than anything Hogan said (again, said, in a personal conversation, no harm against any other human) And it pains, no PAINS me to even type this because I don't even like freaking Hogan whatsoever.

In their online version, they have some sort of stat tracker (I don't use it though)

I've had the time issues as well, so you may want to try the online version. It was hard carrying around cards, dice, etc, but with the Filsinger Legends Online, you can just play on your phone, iPad, PC, etc. When our daughter has some kind of dance practice or acting class, I can just play on the phone or iPad while waiting. It's much more convienient if you're on the go. You can actually get a free online account with free Jimmy Snuka and Rob van Dam cards. It's worth checking out since it's free. In addition, you can buy create a characters where you can make up your own guys that aren't in the game (said no, under WWE contract), I use a lot of Vikingsfan's brothers guys and my own creations with the Create a Character option

I know of at least two others that play the game (Filsinger Games). I've played Champions since 1989 and Legends since it's inception in the early 2000s. Honestly, the best wrestling "board" game (technically it's not a board game, but a card/dice game) I've ever played...and it's not close. Blechschmidt, not sure if you are part of my bootleg group. If not, feel free to take a look. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/LegendsOfWrestlingBootlegs/files

Pipers podcast (from Podcast One) hadn't had a new episode for a few weeks. A new episode popped up yesterday in which Piper said it was an old episode from a few months back that was pulled the same day. Piper added he was through with Podcast One and wanted to play the pulled episode, claiming it was in good fun. It was Will Sasso parodying Austin with stating, according to Austin on his podcast today, that a few things he'd liked to have kept private was spilled on the show. Jim Duggan called in as well and was fooled by Sasso. Piper insinuated that "Austin" had "him fired", which Austin debunked on his podcast today. It was weird for Piper to do, especially since Austin has always spoke highly of Piper and lobbied for him to get the podcast gig

Read several boards yesterday and kept hearing about this Austin/Piper controversy, so decided to listen to Piper's podcast. While Piper and his co host Earl kept making the claim of "satire", the entire thing was harsh and personal, which I don't mind (people need thicker skin)...but was odd with Austin being the one who went to bat for Piper to get a podcast in the first place. The whole thing was just odd (although Sasso does a great Austin).
