Will take a listen at work tonight -

God, he just looks so much like Sara Undertaker. I wonder if Taker ever thought that...

Guys hanging round in tag gear after split
UKWildcat replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Pro Wrestling
Actually, Jamie would wrestle some as The Convict -
Sorry, no ones perfect

Damn. Growing up with Memphis "Rasslin", HE was our World Champ! RIP champ

I hate that happened to your dad because you missed out on some fantastic times at the Gardens. Here was my first night and I was pretty much a regular until late 96. It sounds weird, but I always do something wrestling related to celebrate that anniversary (the second Tupelo Concession Stand brawl is what got me hooked) http://wrestlingdata.com/index.php?befehl=shows&show=181576

Ah, figure you must be close (in Louisville here). So howdy neighbor! Seriously though, would love to hear a review when you finish

Flair's podcast (WOOOOONation)
UKWildcat replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Publications and Podcasts
I like Flair's podcasts, but if he's going to do a "professional" one, invest in some equipment. Yeah, he may be on the road, but when the host is muffled from his phone, it gets annoying -
I'll be honest, while I know the names, I know virtually nothing about the wrestling scene besides the obvious (Brody's death, Colon/Abdullah, etc). I think a lot of my ignoring the promotion was due to Brody's death, so I was hesitant to listen. I then thought I was robbing myself because I love the history of wrestling. I was shocked how similar as to what I grew up - Memphis. I try to watch Memphis stuff once a week and hearing about Puerto Rico on the podcasts reminds me why I could care less about today's product - there's nothing personal which leads me to not care about any wrestler out there. Granted Vince makes a lot of money, but good Lord, imagine if he got actual "heat" with the product. God I miss old school wrestling. Thanks for the podcast BTW, was that a bird chirping?!?

Thank you for calling out Konan for being the douchebag that he is as he is on my list of hated wrestlers ever (with MVP, Public Enemy and The Miz). I used to enjoy Court, but can't say much for him anymore for selling out a friend (even though MSL resigned, and I'm not even a big MSL fan)

Grand jury investigating Jimmy Snuka's role in Nancy Argentino's death
UKWildcat replied to Bix's topic in Pro Wrestling
Fuck these people. The guy beat up his girlfriend several times, until he beat her to death. Every three days of so, a woman dies because she gets beatten to death. This is bullshit. Fuck these people and fuck Snuka. Then why not spend the precious time and money on those current victims of domestic violence (women aren't the only ones abused) instead of going after a 72 year old dude who might have done it over 30 years ago and who now has stomach cancer. At his current shape, I don't see him posing much of a danger to anyone and I have no idea why people here are so supportive of what is basically a waste of resources. Because people should pay for their crimes. You murder someone, you should pay for that transgression. But, more to the point, the family of the victim often gains solace in knowing that the killer has been brought to justice. Bringing them that sense of closure is far from a waste of resources. This. It shouldn't have to be so hard that someone on a message board should spell it out. -
Maybe a dumb question, but isnt MLW owned by Court? If so, how is Konnan blocking these podcasts (MSL's with Sullivan) from being posted?

World Domination with Terry Garvin Sims
UKWildcat replied to UKWildcat's topic in Publications and Podcasts
Wanted to bump this. Talked to Terry and he's going to have Len Rossi on. Said he would love questions for Len because at his age, he won't be doing many podcasts and it's really a good link to that time in history. I told him this is the best board about wrestling history, so it'd be a great place to ask Feel free to post them here or on his podcast facebook page -
Exile on Badstreet #11 (The Most Known Unknown)
UKWildcat replied to KrisZ's topic in Publications and Podcasts
I started watching Memphis in 81, right before the time Sugar and Eaton got together, so I was able to see their entire run live...so I have to say, "GO SEE THEIR STUFF". Seriously, they are a fantastic team and were a lot of fun to watch. They were basically the "Midnight Express" before the "Midnight Express" (Cornette versions). I have to say, as a Memphis guy, one of the best things about this board is the Memphis love and the people who have discovered it on youtube and really appreciate it. -
When you were talking Memphis, I'd hope you would give mention to the Bubba/Rocky Johnson dance on how it was started when Bubba blasted Rocky with a boom box when they had an impromptu dance off in the studio when Rocky seemed completely stoned, lol https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JOWbY9OWVAk And also, while its awesome you gave Don Bass some love in Brickhouse Brown's Truth Commission, you forgot the third cog: King Carl Fergie. Fergie and Bass had one of the classicly ridiculous angles when Fergie was Don Bass' momma and they attacked Lawler. Just ridiculous, but hilarious. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yVrQRgyKBbQ

I love reading these as well.

I may remember five dreams/nightmares in my lifetime, but one I remember vividly was the Memphis stuff being pulled off youtube.

So, since a few people have seen this, I thought I'd throw this out. There are a lot of Memphis fans on the board (who love old school stuff). I also think Filsinger Games has the best wrestling product out there and if given the chance, many old school Wrestling fans may like. Like I said in a previous post: I'm putting out a "bootleg" set which chronicles Memphis history beginning when Jarrett broke away from Gulas in March of 77. I'm doing the stats, art on all of them. So I'll throw this out because I believe in the Filsinger Legends product: the first five people that sends me a message, I'll send them a preview copy of the Memphis legends bootlegs set I'm working on...free of charge. Yep, free. That'll include Jerry Lawler, Plowboy Frazier, The Bicentennial Kings (Phil Hickerson & Dennis Condrey), Leroy Brown, Porkchop Cash, Bill Dundee, Tommy Rich, Bob Armstrong, Rick & Robert Gibson and Rocky Johnson. You know, what the hell...I'm feeling generous, so I'll throw in a Jerry Jarrett commissioner card and a Lance Russell/Dave Brown announcer card. All free, so you can't beat that. If you want a sneak peak at some of the art: http://filsingergames.proboards.com/thread/15528/history-memphis-1977-1989?page=2&scrollTo=204003

Can't wait to see the AWA stuff CO. I'm redoing a bunch of art. Just did Lawler, Dundee, Rich, Lance & Dave. I'll post them here, maybe if anyone is interested, send them an early teaser set for the Memphis stuff. May turn them on to Toms official stuff
