I love that you went to all the effort to justify all those pics and it was a fun read but this exemplifies why for the most part I can't see where you're coming from.

I think Sting vs Jeff Hardy from Victory Road 2011 should be talked about

JvK's Six-Factor Model for GWE rankings [BIGLAV]
El McKell replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in 2016
Say what, now? Nappy means diaper to British people, Parv definitely didn't mean anything racial and possibly doesn't even know nappy headed could mean anything racial. -
Knowing my own ballot gives me a bit of an edge for predicting this. Negro Casas.
-
Someone using a PWG chant as a user name being the high voter on Timothy Thatcher seems wrong to me.
-
I think Sami Callihan had really become something special in like 2013 before he went to WWE, but there's no way I could list him when he did nothing of note in WWE, hasn't been all that good since coming back to the indies and wasn't so great other than against Fit Finlay for much of his first indie run.

I assume people were voting for the original Espanto Jr and not the one pictured in the results thread. But then again there's no way to really know; maybe some of those votes are for the current Espanto Jr.
-
The shame isn't in being the high vote on Kyle O'Reilly, it's just this stupid looking picture I've got as an avatar now
-
Fuck it, Mistico Edit: misunderstood this, no change in my Avatar yet
-
Really surprised that Roman Reigns was on 6 ballots, i know it's not actually very many really; but it feels like a lot. 4% of the ballots, is that a lot? Most of the pictures are like ridiculous, but Jackie Sato is just her looking suave as hell. I'm not changing my avatar to Mistico, I just switched to Knives Chau like a week ago
-
Mistico was the first of my picks to show up too, I had him at 97 though. That Combat Toyoda picture ruins her badass aura for me, she looks like a little old lady or something.
-
Honky Tonk Man? the 49th greatest wrestler ever? I'm gonna assume that the same person who put Bob Sapp at 66 did this. From now on I'm assuming all insane anon high votes are the same person.
-
James Storm and Ikuto Hidaka were the first two guys I really seriously considered for my list to appear on here, and then they are tied. Ryuji Ito not finishing ahead of Tommy Dreamer is kinda tragic.
-
Welp that's pretty hilarious and it feels really appropriate with the McCarthy thing that it turned out there was no Jerry Saggs voter
-
Don't blame BIGLAV for the fact that you said that Low Ki's peak continued until 2015

Super fun show, I really liked the enthusiasm from both of the hosts and found myself laughing at quite a bit of stuff. I also feel like when I hear Matt in a more stream of consciousness type of situation it's easier for me to understand where he's coming from. I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of these.

I really wanna see that anon's ballot.

Well it prevents you from suspending your disbelief in a way that Johnny Saint curling up into a ball and then his opponent rolling him around in a futile attempt to get both shoulder on the mat doesn't. But it's very difficult to argue that it's somehow worse than Kota Ibushi wrestling that blow up doll (although this was way funnier than anything Joey Ryan ever did) or the invisible grenade thing Chuck Taylor used to do.

This is the most interesting point about Joey Ryan in this discussion to me. While I would never consider Joey Ryan for a list like this, I think he basically sucks, I disagree pretty strongly with this post. First of all, is he fairly talented? I don't think he's ever really any good at all when he's not doing his shtick, whether its in TNA or in some of the more serious PWG stuff. He certainly never could've stood out in the indies with just his wrestling, which is probably why he does all the dumb stuff, to stand out, create a niche and make money wrestling. Then there's having no respect for the craft and shitting on wrestling. I don't understand how you can know that he doesn't respect wrestling just because he does comedy stuff that makes no logical sense and what does shitting on wrestling mean here? Is good wrestling somehow negatively affected by bad wrestling or wrestling that exposes the business? Because I totally disagree with that idea. Maybe you just meant it's somehow an insult to good wrestling to deliberately perform the way Ryan does, but I think that's silly too.

The ones I'd cite automatically without even thinking would be: Arn and Ole vs. Rock n Rolls (Starrcade 86) Arn and Tully vs. Luger and Windham (Clash 1) Arn and Larry Z vs. Steamer and Dustin (Clash 17) Arn vs. Windham (TV match from 92) You don't have ANY of these even at four stars? I'm pretty sure I don't Arn and Ole vs. Rock n Rolls (Starrcade 86) not a particularly good match. Arn and Tully vs. Luger and Windham (Clash 1) really fun sprint, the best of these matches, can't remember how many stars maybe **** maybe ***3/4 i dunno. Arn and Larry Z vs. Steamer and Dustin (Clash 17) I remember I gave this ***1/2 because I had to check it a few months ago for some other thread when Matt D reacted me talking about Arn in a similar way. Arn vs. Windham (TV match from 92) I haven't seen this and I should've because I was meaning to when you put it in your 100 best matches ever I just kinda ended up forgetting about it. Just watched that Arn vs Windham TV match now, it was pretty damn good, I thought Paul E. was in incredible form on the outside and the second fall/Arn's heat section was really good. I had issues with it though, Arn was too goofy for my tastes and if he's the challenger shouldn't he be more of a credible threat not the guy pulling dumb scared faces, throwing wild punches that miss by 10 feet. The finish was pretty annoying too, Austin runs in and gets Arn DQ'd why? I get that Anderson was in trouble but it's just throwing away the match.

Yeah there's no way to predict this, it'll probably be someone insane who nobody could've thought would be a no.1 contender, Stan Lane or Jinsei Shinzaki or something.

You knew some people didn't have Arn, no reason why it shouldn't be me. Arn is good and clearly has a lot of talent but he so so rarely seems to actually use his cool bumping and stooging or his good (but kinda overrated) limbwork to actually generate matches I find highly compelling. I'd have to look again at my star rating database when I get off work but I don't think I've ever given and Arn singles or 2vs2 tag match 4 or more stars.

In the last one Sayama finished at 68, right above Dory and right below Dandy. And seeing as I hadn't posted in this thread the people who I think are heavy hitters who didn't make my list are Hashimoto, Fujiwara and Arn Anderson, I guess maybe Tully Blanchard could count too.
