Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
LariatMMBOPPO replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
Some of the spoilers had to be fake. I hope. An actual reverse elimination match? Jessie Godderz vs. Al Snow in an scaffold match? -
I hate that there's a split second where he lands on his feet completely killing the momentum gained by the rebound. Kind of like Kane's top rope clothesline where he obviously lands on his feet first, but worse.

Has anyone looked at the TNA spoilers lately? They've done 70+ matches cumulatively these past few tapings. It must be hell to sit through those. -
Signing Brock after he left UFC. I've actually enjoyed the majority of his run. Business wise however, he's pretty much been a massive failure. Hindsight being 20/20, it's probably for the best that happened. They probably should have done a Luger/Bret deal where they fall over the top simultaneously and have their match at the next PPV be the deciding factor in who goes on to main event WM. Reigns winning clean was the best choice though.

The Rock often employed Brian Gerwitz to aid him in writing his promos. Gerwitz was the head writer of RAW for a long time and the Rock used him even after he left the position and became a consultant. He works for the Rock's production company or something these days. [not directly replying to you, just trying to avoid making a giant quote train.]

I think part of the problem is that he has a history of lying about injuries just so he can wrestle. This, combined with the Punk lawsuits, makes it harder than it normally would for him. It's kind of sad, to be honest. Bryan's only 34, has had an amazing career and still has time to do something else with his life. He comes across as a guy who doesn't seem like he's thought much about the future and seems to be on track to wrestling until he's broken down. There's a line between being driven and being dumb.

He never finished.

Steven/William Regal in the WWF before the Real Man's Man gimmick count? -
Apparently the first showing of RoH is being dropped by Destination America. In it's place: more Bigfoot.

Trying to initially book Floyd Mayweather as a sympathetic babyface when he came in to face Big Show.

27. Yeah, I had to think about that for a second, but their second/"first" match had little involvement from Shawn.

I hate you all.

More importantly, Axelmania is apparently dead.

Ugh. No, there is absolutely no need for that shit. They suck on the indies, they suck in Japan, they suck in Mexico and Lucha Underground, they suck period. That aside, has anyone actually come out and said what caused Tyson's injury? The only explanation I've seen is he bumped wrong for the Muscle Buster.

I know I'm kind of spamming at this point, but Super Crazy would get mini pushes randomly. Anyone remember Orton coming out to CM Punk's old theme (well, it wasn't Punk's at this point, but would be) for one week? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uy8CdKztJ9A -

I remember that. Mero called him a jobber at one point. -

Well, the initial idea was that they were trying to parody the stereotypical imagery of Mexicans. Here's their debut promo: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7fl9x_mexicools-debut-23-6-05_sport and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlQtOk7WswQ They didn't really follow through though and ended up turning face some time later. A shame too, I like the idea in theory. A group of unhinged luchadors going around kicking everyone's ass with their speed and numbers sick of the way America was treating them. -
Is Hernandez legit trying to kill people with the Border Toss?

My favorite thing falsely attributed to him (that actually made me feel bad for him) is this obnoxious insistence that he hates TNA. Poor guy seemed like he was going to snap on Twitter after getting abused by an endless stream of 'fans' who berated him for simply reporting about TNA's current woes. There was also this weird thing during the build-up for the second Undertaker/Triple H match where he insisted that Shawn was going to interfere/be involved because H allegedly alluded to a secret plan in a promo. The only involvement Shawn ended up having was telling Hunter he "couldn't win" during a promo building to Mania. I wouldn't put too much thought into it, but he was almost arrogant in how he dealt with people saying that Shawn gave no indication that he was going to have anything to do with the match.
