The only thing I remember him for is somehow making a Shooting Star Legdrop lame.

Has there been any time Dave was obviously worked or lied to successfully? He's always come across as a guy who won't print something unless it's been triple checked, but it's impossible in his line of work dealing with the people he does that nothing slips through. Closest thing I can think of was when Jericho returned a few years back with those weird vignettes and Dave said they were for Undertaker. His reasoning that they weren't for Jericho was that Chris was mad about getting screwed over video game royalties and was very vocal about how he wouldn't work with them.

I don't think Bayley is getting called up anytime soon. It seems like she's going to take Sasha's title since Banks is moving to the main roster.

Too many clean wins, not enough cheap finishes.
LariatMMBOPPO replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in WWE
Off topic, but who does that entail besides the obvious names like Austin, Rock and Hogan. Lesnar was mainly known as the "fake wrestling guy" in UFC and despite his recent film success, Batista isn't really a large name yet. Every one of those names eventually came back and made nice, sometimes more than once. Only exception I can think of is Savage. Maven appearing on infomercials and the Surreal Life and Stacy Keibler being the arm candy of Clooney for few years before promptly disappearing after breaking up aren't people I would say became bigger than the company. -

They never debut anyone like they did with Kevin Owens, it's not like that's their standard way. Also, it's not like they NEVER push people like that any more Parv. That is exactly what they did with Rusev. Also, please stop pushing the enter button after every sentence. It turns quote trains into monsters. -
That's what I was implying a few days ago. They have access to a building like the Performance Center that allows them almost unlimited time to perfect whatever big match they have coming up. I'm not too worried about Becky who has shown she can go when needed on the indies, but Sasha wasn't lighting the world on fire before she was signed and Charlotte isn't what I would call bad, but not really good either. She showed a lot of promise initially, but has plateaued since that Natalya match. Sasha definitely has the charisma to adapt though and any possible kinks in-ring should be able to get worked out on the road. One question I have to ask: why does anyone like/care about Alicia Fox aside from how attractive she looks? She's a better version of Rosa Mendes. She's always seemed sloppy and a few years ago seemed to actively injure other women with a crappy flipping leg drop she insisted on doing.

You know who I miss? The Swagger Soaring Eagle.

Jushin Thunder Liger vs. Tyler Breeze at NXT Takeover in Brooklyn on 8/22
LariatMMBOPPO replied to KrisZ's topic in WWE
Actually, that was reported to be false. He was depushed allegedly due to his attitude. -

I know. He pointed out that RoH is full of ex-TNA guys that WWE never wanted. Don't know how a guy being currently booked there and in Evolve could be seen as a positive. -
And what is that point? He needs new theme music?

Wait...Sydal left on bad terms, but PJ Black and Hero didn't? And I'm convinced Baretta only lasted as long as he did was because they forgot he was on the roster. Pretty sure they don't care if he's used at all. And Galloway is a current TNA guy. Plus Jacobs, Mercury, and Noble from the road agent pool. Maybe three of those people have a voice that would matter to Triple H, never mind Vince. -
Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?

The fall out from this also includes MVP leaving TNA. -
Often forgotten periods of a wrestlers career...

On the subject of Batista: Submission Master, he also started using the Rings of Saturn before his I Quit match with John Cena. Anyone remember Rey's second title reign? He beat Jack Swagger (a "he held the world title?" guy if there ever was one) and lost it about a month later to Kane. Completely non-descript and the ensuing feud between Rey and Kane was if Rey put Undertaker out of action. Also, Rey facing the Undertaker for the title at Royal Rumble 2010. Combination of weird match match-up and both being babyfaces. -
It's sounds like one of those things lapsed wrestling fans say. "Aw, I remember when the Rock and Stone Cold were around! Now all they do these days is talk instead of wrestle." What I hated about that was Flair went through a bunch of younger guys, but it was Vince himself who nearly put him out by almost defeating him in a no DQ match. That actually led to the WM match as Shawn interfered to save Flair and this PO'd Ric who wanted to stand or fall on his own.

No, that was the Lock-Up of Doom.

I hope people aren't going to be disappointed when she isn't the game changer they think she'll be. Aside from Vince/Dunn's unfortunate views, anyone stop and think why the women on the main roster, Paige and Emma specifically, still have mostly mediocre matches even when occasionally given time?

I thought that was a fairly memorable part if only for being representative of the Attitude era. -

When Vince went to that NXT house show, didn't it come out he loved Charlotte and Sasha?

Well, not official or anything, but KrisZ mentioned it https://twitter.com/KrisZellner/status/620727076052705281

? Wasn't agreeing or disagreeing. Just stating that Austin had other factors for a sub-par in-ring year besides his neck. They probably could have done more than have him feud with a depressed Ric Flair though.

He's apparently disappeared after no showing a benefit show for autism. Any word? EDIT: You can delete this. It's been confirmed he's okay.
