  1. Creating art and wanting to be compensated aren't mutually exclusive. The way Bobby goes into detail about being a good manager shows that while he wants to be paid, he certainly cared about giving people a show worth watching.
  2. https://youtu.be/SAHCxXEKado?t=15m7s vs I think Crimson/Morgan had the weaker punch-off, but Joe/Owens is up there.
  3. Am I anti-art for thinking that sounds like a boring rip-off?
  4. Orton RKO'd Mark Cuban and they reacted pretty much the same way.
  5. Only if it's referring to this. Wow. Wyatt went from creepy swamp cult leader to creepy MRA-looking pedophile. Keep Rowan and Harper away from him, please. I'm fine with them just being weird backwoods brutes. No need to turn them into inevitable fodder for Roman while Bray sits in a rocking chair.
  6. Until you notice the Poison patch.
  7. That's one side effect of the brand meaning more than the wrestler/no competition. With the workers from the territorial/early 90s era being pretty much phased out completely, we have a generation of guys who are fine with doing clean jobs. You don't hear stuff like Hogan doesn't want to lose the title to Bret, Shawn is going out with a questionable injury and has to vacate [x] title, Nash is booking himself over Goldberg, Austin doesn't want to be pinned for the IC title, Undertaker "isn't feeling it" when asked to lay down for Brock etc. They're either yes men like Cena or are so afraid of losing their job, they'd lay down clean for the Brooklyn Brawler.
  8. I think he pulls it off pretty good here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uD82zdsbMl0
  9. I feel the complete opposite. Maybe because I first saw it 12 years ago done by the Amazing Red and it's nothing new to me, but it's pretty much just a Sunset Flip with the receiver taking a back bump. It looks cool, but I have no issue with it just being a two count signature move or a low impact flash pin move.
  10. Code Red has been used as a 2 count move by a lot of people in WWE. Hell, Santino was using the Stunner as a comedy spot.
  11. Loss or whoever runs the PWO Twitter raises the question of why intergender is so prevalent these days and one of the responses is that female wrestling fans don't want the women treated as sideshows. Is it me or is that exactly what intergender is?
  12. I can't. Would Rock do it? Probably, but he wouldn't be put in that position.
  13. I know a lot people will probably disagree, but I thought they've been handling Rollins' first reign as champ decently (for them.) RAW's main event's ending was incredibly awful. Mercury/Noble are fine as Stooges 2k15, but there is no reason Mercury should have pinned Seth essentially clean. If you "need" to have Seth pinned, have Ambrose hit him with the title after he comes over to get it. Do you think they'd let Brisco or Patterson pin Hunter in a similar manner during his feud with Vince during the summer of '99?
  14. I like the idea of Russo continually opening pay sites only to somehow end up constantly being exiled from them.
  15. I can believe it. A few years ago when Kofi was doing a main event program with Randy Orton, there was a discussion here or on WCMB about if Kofi could have pulled off a serious vibe to his character. Someone then linked to a promo he cut in the indies before he joined the WWE. He was a heel in that clip and he actually showed a good aptitude to convey a serious urban menace. I was surprised but ever since then, I've been waiting for him to do a heel run in the WWE just to see if he could do that on the big stage. The character he has now isn't the same as what I saw but he's effective, definitely. Weird he was doing the faux-Jamaican gimmick before he joined WWE and essentially kept his name. I'm pretty sure sure they didn't let developmental wrestlers pick their gimmick names like they do now.

Pretty sure Kurt did die about 9 years ago. The corpse you see walking around is actually powered by a mixture of painkillers and steroids. You don't remember the reanimation ceremony they hosted on iMPACT? Here he is rising from the dead: https://youtu.be/c1wre7Q-B_c?t=59s
  17. I don't know if ROH made a mistake not pandering to the WWE. Sure the WWE is by far the biggest wrestling company in the world. However the Sinclair Corporation is worth three times more than the WWE . I don't think the CEO and board of Sinclair Broadcasting are sweating Vince McMahon . Most of them have never even heard of McMahon . Sinclair operates ROH as low cost programming for their own network . I don't think Sinclair really cares or worries about the WWE . There will plenty of quality guys that will want to work for ROH . Remember wanting to work for McMahon and actually working for him are two different things. McMahon is a nut case. How many guys will never work for him again . Johnny Mundo , Alberto Del Rio , Justin Gabriel , Kenny Omega , Trent Barratta and countless others . ROH will be fine. Aside from Alberto and maybe Omega, none of those guys are wrestlers I could see WWE being actually interested in again anyway.

His actual debut involved getting bitch slapped by Punk and submitting to him two times over two weeks. He was pretty much branded a jobber his entire second run. So...stop watching? You were warned about how shitty it was and told when the good stuff starts up. Intentionally watching roughly 11 hours of TV just to bitch about it seems like a poor use of time.
  19. I really hope he's just kidding around. https://twitter.com/CMPunk/status/608136997249654784
  20. Well, we did get this bit of irony from all the math talk atleast.
  21. She didn't land as hard as it looked. Watching it in slow motion, she essentially rolled down Naomi's back. And she's been off since she got back.
  22. I liked it when Low Ki would grind his feet on the opponents knees making them rise up. Made it look like they had a reason for sitting upward.
  23. Pro wrestling in general has historically low ad rates. Why would they cancel one show that gets low ad revenue and replace it with a show in the same genre that is almost guaranteed to get similar rates? It's cheaper than TNA, but there's probably a ton of shows similarly priced that would net more cash in that area.
  24. Was the NXT house show advertised with the Women's title as the main event?
