A women's only show sounds like a great idea especially as a counterpart to this. I seem to remember TNA's Knockout specials doing pretty well. As stated above, too late to do it right now but hopefully down the line. I'm sure it will be a good show but the whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth with the circumstances and after pushing the Women's divisions so much recently. This just feels like a step back and throwing that progress aside for a payday.

They should have a masked women's wrestler in disguise win. Then have her unmask DDP/La Parka style.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Flyin' Brian replied to TravJ1979's topic in Pro Wrestling
As long as everything is focused on making the brand more important than the wrestlers themselves, WWE is never going to create any more real stars unless they luck into someone. Guys like Joe, AJ, and Daniel Bryan that have worked everywhere and know how to get themselves over can overcome the scripted nature of everything and can be themselves dialed up to 11. Most of the other wrestlers are scared robots, reciting the same lines and having the same matches over and over and feeling like WWE is the be all end all of wrestling. Granted there's no competition out there at their level, but the people who have been through the modern day equivalent of the territory system know they are more than cogs in the machine and are able to have real personalities and characters beyond what WWE gives them. They know that there is life out there beyond the WWE. There aren't many of the home grown WWE talents that I feel could survive and thrive outside of WWE because the skills and traits to do so have been beaten out of them or never learned/taught. -
Yeah, I remember reading the like was disabled to keep it from being a distraction. Makes us have to speak up if we like something too. lol 1983 Project in the Armchair Booking section was fun for avatars too.

If Cena can't get the real Undertaker to face him at Wrestlemania, I wonder if Brian Lee is available? -

Supposedly on September 18, 1987 for Mass with Pope John Paul II the attendance was over 90,000 as well not long after Wrestlemania 3 according to this Detroit Free Press article too. https://www.freep.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2015/10/29/pontiac-silverdome-memories/74835284/ I don't see any reason for those numbers to have been inflated, so it looks like it's surely possible for that many people to be in the Silverdome. If the number is inflated, I don't think it's inflated much. Maybe to get it over the 90,000 mark if it was close, say if it was in the 89,000 range. They might not have all been 'paid', but they were still there. Still doing some research, not sure if I want to give this place my card info to sign up for a free trial, but the parts of this article you can read show the attendance for the Pope was less than expected. https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/99914238/

Terry Funk weighs in on Biden/Trump feud
Flyin' Brian replied to Flyin' Brian's topic in Pro Wrestling
Maybe that's the plan. Funk vs Flair vs Trump impersonator. Who gets the last part? Maybe Sam Polinsky, even though he looks more like a Trump son. -
Would it be wild and unlikely for Vince to do it? I thought of that briefly, but it seems fairly unlikely to me. I am just not sure Vince is going to get in the ring and if he does I am not sure he is going to do it for this group of guys. I could be wrong. It would certainly create buzz and make a lot of sense, but it would surprise me a good bit. KO did bust Vince open, if they want to call back to that

I'm interested to see where the Lesnar/Reigns feud goes tonight. They have pulled out all the stops to get the crowd to cheer Roman and boo Brock, from Rock/Cena 'I'm always here and you're not' type promos and Wrestlemania 20 'is Brock leaving' intrigue, they've done everything but make Brock into an Iraqi sympathizer to get Roman over, but how will that crowd in New Orleans react when the time comes?

I'd say he belongs up there, and I hope he has a chance to add to his legacy like when Shawn Michaels came back from retirement.

Terry Funk weighs in on Biden/Trump feud

I'm starting to feel more and more that politics is all a work and both sides are playing the American people for marks. Behind the scenes they all laugh about putting one over on us like faces and heels in wrestling. Somewhere in the shadows sit the owners and bookers (the 1%?) that direct the feuds and "finishes" -

That was bs Bruce Prichard came out with on his podcast. There's no way this was ever a serious idea. -

I was there live for that Raw. First time a women's match had main evented too I believe.

Just listed to the first episode of this with Glacier. Quick listen and Ray Lloyd sounds like a good dude. Some interesting stories covering Ray's career before the Glacier gimmick and some behind the scenes stories of the Blood Runs Cold stuff. I think this is a good idea for a podcast and I'm looking forward to see what else comes out of it.
