I have been so disappointed in the Woken Matt Hardy stuff in WWE, but if they are going full on Hardy Compound crazy count me in. Vanguard-1!
-
From reading the show descriptions I think there's a Dibiase/Estrada match on one of the shows that should be good. Santana/Estrada too.
-
I'm intrigued at least. Wonder if they get anybody to come back for it or if it's all current talent?

I think the networks make exceptions for live sports, which even though it's scripted WWE certainly falls into the category. If they allow overruns for the NFL and MLB I believe they would allow it for WWE if needed. It is less opportunity for the talent, but Smackdown is two hours and they do fine.

Lawler/Dundee bringing weekly show back to Memphis broadcast TV
Flyin' Brian replied to Sean Liska's topic in Pro Wrestling
Lawler was on Busted Open Radio and revealed some more details. "What I've started back on our local CW station in Memphis is a show called 'Jerry Lawler's classic Memphis Wrestling'. It's just a show where I try to have a guest on every week that was from that era and show their matches. If you remember, there was a show called 'Mystery Science Theatre 3000'. That's the type of project we were doing. We were doing updated commentary on the matches. It started in April, and we are moving it to Saturday morning's at 11am, which is the same time Memphis Wrestling was on back in the day. It won't be live matches. We will show classic matches with updated commentary." -

I didn't realize King of the Ring had been around that long. Did they tape the early ones? -
Booker T hates Corey Graves now? Is this a real thing?

Maybe they'll put Ronda in the ring with him and let her beat the crap out of him while he does his best Screaming Norman Smiley impersonation. -
Still my go to site for mindless speculation and general wrestling headlines.

Not to mention she started off as arm candy for Test and Albert (T&A, get it? Impact wasn't even innovative there either) and actually wanted to put in effort to improve when they put her in the ring. Also I think it's funny how internet fans tend to poo-poo the importance of firsts when it comes to women in WWE, but it seems like Trish and Lita being the first women's match to main event Raw made an impression on a lot of little girls who grew up to be wrestlers today. edit: As far as Ronda goes, I bet the plan was for her to come out doing the Ronda Mean Mug Face to everyone but she was marking out internally too hard to keep from smiling. I was there live at that Raw in Charlotte, NC. Good times.

Yeah, I did. Guess they got a Royal Rumble match before the women, even though it wasn't at the Royal Rumble. -

I was mostly joking, but me too. If only Hornswaggle had really been a McMahon son. -

I'm glad WCW didn't follow that logic when creating the cruiser weight division. Who knew that all the mini wrestlers were from Mexico? -

Ok, we've seen WWE take Women's wrestling to new heights and give their matches main event slots on Raw and PPV. So what I want to know is, when is WWE going to get serious about Midget Wrestling. #MidgetRevolution -
Wonder what it would have gotten if it happened in New Japan?
-
Well, to be fair, she did botch it quite a bit in her day.

Damn! (TM Ron Simmons)

I'm loving these spoiler tags.

Have they announced yet what the winner gets? Is it just bragging rights or do they get a title shot like the men?
-
I guess it has been a while since this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmxmAu8C-1M

What about the 1997 Rumble? No one thought Jerry Lawler would be in it yet he commentated all night. I really hope she doesn't get entered but you see commentators who get a entry number so it could happen. The only scenario I can see that happening is if their end goal is Ronda Rousey and Steph at Wrestlemania. If Ronda really can't make the Rumble, they feel like the best way they can set it up is have Steph win, then Ronda shows up later to put her in her place for some reason.
