  1. Always thought the notion that Greg sucked was extremely odd and the fact it took him this long to get nominated is pretty telling. I like the High Flyers a lot and Greg has some good singles stuff to his name, but he won't be making my list.
  2. So excited for these hair matches.
  3. Although I do agree that Danielson did go needlessly long sometimes, more often than not I find myself enjoying those matches so that's not gonna be a huge knock on him from me. Very fair criticism though. Bryan is in play for my number 1, the thing that really makes him standout for me as a contender is just how much he's been able to get out of so many people. Off the top of my head, these are people who you could make a fair case for having the best matches of their careers with the guy (In the cases of Morishima, McGuiness, Wyatt, and Sheamus, it's almost a lock in saying they have their best matches with him. Maybe less in the case of Rave because of his 2015 run). I think that's a lengthier list of opponents than I could come up with for a ton of people. Nigel McGuiness Homicide Paul London CM Punk John Cena Bray Wyatt Jimmy Rave Takeshi Morishima KENTA Dolph Ziggler Roman Reigns Sheamus Roderick Strong Austin Aries Samoa Joe Davey Richards AJ Styles Chris Hero El Generico James Gibson Shingo Takagi Naruki Doi Low Ki Go Shiozaki Cesaro Seth Rollins Randy Orton Triple H
  4. I need to watch more, but Super Dragon could easily make my list in the 80-100 range. He's one of those rare indie guys that just exudes this special aura. Whenever you see him, you know some shit is going down. It's this feeling of danger that not many people match.
  5. Who are the 4? Just curious. Bryan Danielson Stan Hansen Jun Akiyama Terry Funk
  6. I'm kinda having difficulty deciding the 80-100 range. Also my number 1 spot is up for grabs between 4 people and I'm having a very hard time putting one guy above the others.
  7. Locks: Sangre Chicana Pirata Morgan El Dandy El Satanico Negro Casas Virus Rey Mysterio Jr. El Hijo Del Santo Between El Satanico and Negro Casas, I don't know which one will be my highest ranked luchadore. People on the bubble: Atlantis - leaning towards him making it MS-1 Mocho Cota Psicosis Juvetud Guerrera Blue Panther Perro Aguayo
  8. Easily making my list, probably somewhere in the top 20.
  9. My thoughts echo Case's. Doi is a really great, charismatic character, but his main event stuff is very underwhelming for the most part. He won't be making my list.
  10. One of my favorite Dragon Gate guys. He won't finish ahead of CIMA or Mochizuki, but he will have one of the final spots on my ballot.

    NXT talk

Yeah that's definitely just a match to do before the Mania weekend show.
  12. Very easily on my list, have yet to figure out how high though.
  13. I've liked the guy a lot in the past, but this current incarnation makes me never want to ever watch when he's on TV (a lot of it due to his presentation, "The Lunatic Fringe, Maggle!). It's a shame because he actually is a very talented guy. The 30 minute Iron Man with Rollins from FCW is one of my favorite WWE matches of the last 5 years. He can go in the ring, great on the mic when allowed to showcase it, and very charismatic. If the company didn't kill his momentum so they could make room for Roman Reigns, he could probably be the lead face considering the popularity he has.

Sombra Busick Swann TMDK Athena Nikki Storm All people that are at the PC or supposedly on their way there that have been overlooked during this NJPW exodus
  15. Not hard to believe based on the booking we've seen play out

    NXT talk

As far as the NXT women go, Athena should be put on TV somewhat soon to help them out depth wise. I'd hope maybe by April. Then the have the other women they have been putting focus on in jobber capacities like Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. They're getting built slowly but show potential. Nikki Storm was rumored months ago to have signed.
  17. Think we all had a feeling Nak, Perro Jr, and Brock would get in, but it's still disappointing as hell especially on the lucha side. What's the deal with Danielson though? With his recent success in WWE, becoming a star there and then the resume in-ring he's compiled over the years, I don't understand how he wouldn't get in over a Nakamura. That is one I would really need explained to me. Obviously the boom in NJPW's popularity gave Nak a better chance, but I would think Danielson's WWE success would take him over the top.
  18. It hasn't shown immediate, game changer results, but the Suzuki-gun invasion has shown promising signs of life for NOAH and put out stuff I've liked in-ring. That 9/19 I would even go as far to say it was great. Suzuki's matches for the most part have just been okay to me, but that Sugiura match and the Takayama one were spectacles I really enjoyed.
  19. Lock for my list and will wind up very high. Top 5 babyface of all time for me. Probably would have made my list if he had just the Generico work to boast, but adding this NXT run has shot him up quite a bit.
  20. But would you say that everything you don't like is without merit? No not at all. I try to give anything a fair and honest look especially if it's something where I see a ton of roses being thrown at it, but if I come to the conclusion that I personally don't think it's as good as others think it is, so be it, it's not for me. A LOT of people fucking love Volk Han and I have no problem acknowledging that, they think he's the best shoot style worker ever and he might even be number 1 on a few ballots. For me, I watched a majority of his work and I came away thinking this guy won't even sniff my list.
  21. The way I look at it is that how "great" someone is, is still subjective to the voter. The Beatles could be the most acclaimed band of all time, but if I don't like their work, why should they be on my greatest bands ever list? That's just me being dishonest to myself if I put them on there just because OTHERS consider them to be great. That way of thinking doesn't work for me.
  22. As far as the current AJPW goes, if you guys haven't seen Jun Akiyama and Takao Omori vs Go Shiozaki and Kento Miyahara from earlier this year, I highly recommend you do so.
  23. Always have liked what I've seen of Tanaka, even some of his current Wrestle-1 stuff. I don't think he'll make my list, but he's a severely underrated guy people should take a closer look at.
  24. I haven't seen any of Kojima's AJPW work so if anyone could point me in the direction in some of his good stuff there, that'd be greatly appreciated.
  25. There's been a lot of shuffling around on my list so here's what my top 10 looks like now. In order 1. Terry Funk 2. Eddie Guerrero 3. Bryan Danielson 4. Stan Hansen 5. Negro Casas 6. Kenta Kobashi 7. Ric Flair 8. Jun Akiyama 9. Shawn Michaels 10. El Dandy
