Reigns vs. Rusev: Ref throws out Lana for getting involved, as an established manager, instead of calling for a DQ, so Roman can look super impressive and beat Rusev clean twice, cause Roman has to look fucking amazing. Rollins vs. Owens: Ref doesn't throw out Jericho who just randomly runs out, even after he clearly was distracting the opponent, then gets taken out and stays dead forever because we really need Rollins to be sympathetic even though he's still an annoying whiny dick. The booking is just so ham fisted that it kills any and all interest i have in this show.

Everytime Owens goes for the god damned Package Whatever, only for it to be the lame drop, I roll my eyes. If you aren't gonna do the move, don't fucking hint at the setup, christ. Also, Lana gets thrown out in the match before, yet Jericho is still allowed in this match? Are the bookers retarded?

This is certainly Kevin Owens best trash talking performance on the main show.

I've kinda hit that point of knowing Roman is really good, but still never really being particularly excited for his matches because the booking is just so ham fisted that it just makes me roll my eyes when he "overcomes the odds". I think that was a good match, but it still more or less left me cold on seeing Roman in higher profile stuff. Meanwhile, Smackdown has made me give a huge shit about the Miz and Dolph Ziggler. Maybe it's just presentation for me. I don't know.

Triple Threat was good, save for the stretches were Charlotte looked kinda awkward, and them setting up the problem of "Why isn't Dana getting directly involved at every single moment"

Smackdown just continues to completely outclass Raw every single week. The Bliss/Lynch segment made me want to see that match. The Usos/Alpha match felt like a really good match while leaving tons on the plate in the build. Miz's "Hey, I'm awesome and you should pay to watch me wrestle" tour continues strongly, and that was a very well done finish. The main left lots on the table for future Ambrose/Cena matches, while also trying to continue to show that just because Ambrose lost the belt doesn't mean he's just going back to the midcard. Smackdown is like the easiest show in the world to point out how simple booking works. Talent for talent it probably doesn't match up with Raw, but every segment feels like it has a purpose and direction without shoving in your face how super awesome it is which makes you roll your eyes.

I like Rollins as a babyface worker, but hate him on the mic and in ring as a heel.

I'm sorry, I don't buy for a second TJP was MVP of this tournament, nor do I have any problem with the fans who booed him after he beat the 3 biggest local favorites in the tournament (Gargano, Swann, and Ibushi) in a row. Also, his story felt minor in comparison to Kendricks, and him beating Ibushi when neither Alexander nor Kendrick could with what felt like better efforts actually hurt the entire story to me.

For what it's worth, I watched the main, and thought it was the 4th best Metalik match of the tournament.
-
That's a pretty fucking belt.
-
That was about perfect. That was the best Ambrose singles match, arguably ever, but certainly since Regal, it sets up a rematch, and it's a good time for Ambrose to lose it cause they had no other real challengers lined up for Ambrose, and this match was good enough that I'd actually really enjoy a rematch.

Gotta be honest, this more then any match AJ has worked since he got signed has really made me think he can be a franchise player here. I was curious how good this would be, and it's been a fucking blast to me so far.

How do they book this show so well but book every other PPV in the last 12 months so shitty?
-
I'm probably the only one outside of Johnny that has actually found this Kane/Wyatt match pretty fun, right?

Well, if we are going just by tournament work, it's an easy argument to make that he's been one of the weaker guys to have made it to even round 2. He's yet to really have a blow away good match, and the "he hasn't faced good opponents" argument doesn't hold, cause Drew Gulak as pretty damned great. He's had the worst tournament out of anyone in the final 4, and if it weren't for Dar, the same would probably be said of anyone in the final 8. It also hasn't helped that Jack Gallagher came across as a 20 times better version of someone working a very similar style. Also, his strikes look like shit, and he's an awful seller.
-
I still firmly stand behind Metalik being the winner of this tournament, beating Ibushi in the final. I think anyone but Kota in the final will kinda be shit on a bit.
-
I don't understand why that's really that surprising. Zach Sabre Jr.s style of wrestling and Regal/Finlays style of wrestling are only alike in the "They both have roots of the WoS style", but after that they go completely opposite directions. Finlay and Regal were, for the most part, "less is more, make every single thing you do look fucking painful, and make yourself look cunning without making your opponent look dumb". Sabre Jr.... no. That's not his game, generally. I would think guys like Finlay and Regal would fucking love Gulak, on teh other hand.

No offense, but if the spot was planned as a transitional thing and Brock just legit fired two god damned giant elbows into Orton that gave him a cut that was legitimately a "no way this match can continue" blow, Lesnar deserves every bit of shit he gets for being that reckless. Those were elbows from a MMA Heavyweight who has ended legitimate fighters with ground and pound strikes getting what certainly looked like a shoot gusher in blood from an elbow to a Non pro MMA fighter in the head. Look at those replays on the elbows. That would be brutal shit in the UFC.

Roid Rage is a hell of a thing.
-
Oh, sure, just what this show needed: More kicking out of finishers.
-
I think you could just say "WWE Peaked in 2014" in terms of it's current formula and still be accurate.
-
I'm really fucking sick of the Suplex City bullshit.
-
Was that supposed to be a double turn? Or just Reigns "being badass"? Cause now I just want Rusev to beat the fuck out of Reigns.
-
They are totally gonna do a non match here aren't they.
-
I mean that match wasn't "bad, but man it just wasn't something that felt like a big deal to me. Finn as the Demon still is just "Finn wrestling with facepaint" to me.
