  1. These vignettes are pretty damn cool. You've got a lot of new and fresh talent coming in.
  2. AWA SuperClash Preview Show Friday Jan. 2nd and Saturday Jan. 3rd From the McNichols Arena, Denver Co. Live on pay per view Singing the National Anthem on Night 1 and America the Beautiful on Night 2- Belinda Carlisle Special Guest Timekeeper for the World Title Bout- Malcolm -Jamal Warner Special Guest Appearance by Promoter Don King Night 1 For the AWA 6-Man Titles Bobby Blaze and The Takano Dragons vs. Austin's Idols (Gary Young, JW Storm, Ricky Santana) w/Austin Idol The AWA announced at Superclash, 6-man champions would be crowned. Blaze and the Takanos have won big matches together and received a spot here. Austin Idol became a manager and put together his Idols. They won a qualifying match to earn their spot. There's a little bit of history here because at WrestleRock, Austin Idol was on the losing end against Blaze and The Takanos. Idol hasn't forgotten this. Cactus Jack vs. The Hangman w/Nell Nell has been on a quest to rid the AWA of lost souls. The Hangman has been undefeated during this quest and has indeed sent numerous "lost souls" out of the AWA. Nell recently choose Cactus Jack as the next victim. This won't be an easy task because Cactus has spent the year involved in brutal and bloody feuds with Buzz Sawyer and Jimmy Golden, which Jack eventually won. Recently, the Hangman actually hung Cactus over the top rope with his noose. Cactus was screaming, choking and actually laughing. I wonder if Nell actually knows what he's dealing with. Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Mr. Saito This match is making headlines in Japan. Two of their best will go at it and I'm sure there will be a ton of Japanese media at ringside to witness this historic encounter. The Magnificent Muraco vs. 'Superstar' Bill Dundee If Muraco wins, he gets 5 minutes with Tully Blanchard Tully has been a huge thorn for Muraco since his interference costed Muraco his chance at the World Title. During a 6 man tag match, Tully assaulted Muraco several times with a chair. Muraco wants nothing more than to get his hands on Tully, so he had a little chat with AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow and the stipulation was made. Since Tully is officially a manager, Morrow said Tully could handpick an opponent for Muraco. Tully chose Bill Dundee. A year ago, Muraco had been feuding with Dundee. At that time Superstar Graham was managing Muraco. Muraco defeated Dundee for the Superstar moniker and also sent Dundee packing. Dundee has come back and assured Tully he doesn't have to worry. I'm not sure anything can stop Muraco from getting his hands on Tully. Double Chain Match The British Bombers vs. 'Mad Dog' Buzz Sawyer and The Missing Link Both Link and Sawyer had issues with Tony St. Clair. In the UK, after a world title bout, Link and Sawyer attacked St. Clair. This could have been horrible but St. Clair's former ally and rival Johnny Smith came to his rescue. The Bombers were reunited. Weeks later, Link and Sawyer attacked the Bombers with chains. While they were healing, the Bombers decided this was going to end once and for all in a double chain match. Taped Fist Match Leo Burke vs. Iceman Parsons w/Jacquline These guys have had a rivalry going and have traded wins and losses. Iceman brought in Jackie and she's helped Iceman with an advantage more than once. Recently they've both interfered in matches and knocked each other out on TV. Parsons says he's going to put that rooty poo Burke to sleep for good. Burke's no stranger to taped fist matches and won one at WrestleRock. Even Randall Tex Cobb was impressed. AWA TV Title Bout Special Guest ring announcer- Alyssa Milano David Sammartino (C) vs. Gama Singh Gama spent most of the year involved in a successful tag team the Swords of Light with Konnan. Things went downhill when Konnan turned on Gama and eventually defeated him in a match. Gama regrouped and won a TV qualifying match against Jimmy Golden to earn this shot. Sammartino has enjoyed a lengthy title run and has taken on all challengers. His belly to belly suplex has been instrumental in retaining his title. Both men are looking forward to a clean competitive match up. AWA International Title Bout Stan Hansen (C) vs. King Kong Bundy Hansen ended the Red Rooster's nine month reign at WrestleRock in dominating fashion. Hansen's defended the title in the US as well as Japan. Bundy has been unstoppable in the last few months, steamrolling over all the competition. At Title Night, Hansen retained in a grueling match with Jumbo Tsuruta. Bundy seized this opportunity and attacked Hansen. Bundy gave Hansen 2 big splashes and definitely got his attention. A lot of anticipation for this big match. AWA World Tag Team Title Bout The Enforcers (C) w/Tully Blanchard vs. 'Dirty' Dick Slater and 'Rugged' Ron Garvin The Enforcers defeated the Rock n Roll Express at WrestleRock for the titles and have been a huge part of the Horsemen since. Garvin and Slater worked their way up the ranks and were announced number one contenders. On a TV show, the Enforcers attacked Slater and Garvin in the parking lot and injured their hands. Weeks later, the Horsemen pulled up into the parking lot. Slater, Garvin and Muraco banged up their car with lead pipes and sent the Horsemen speeding out of there. This match will be hard hitting and intense! Night 2 Marcus Bagwell and Marc Mero vs. The Bunkhouse Boys Rookies Bagwell and Mero started teaming up and impressed AWA eyes, so they were rewarded with a spot on the card. They will be facing the debuting Bunkhouse Boys. The Missouri Tiger vs. The Equalizer Both men are new to the AWA and have had a few shoving confrontations. Tiger's in full football gimmick, while Equalizer's a straight up mauler A win at SuperClash will be nice momentum going into 1991. 10-Man Elimination Tag Team Match 'Thrilling' Tom Brandi, The Rock n Roll RPMS and The Soul Patrol vs. 'Jamming' Tommy Jammer, The Professionals and The Power Twins w/ The Vin Man and Ted Arcidi Brandi and Jammer have been feuding for months. Vinnie has interfered several times but the last time backfired and Brandi got the win while Vinnie and Jammer ended up arguing. Trouble here? After the Power Twins acquired the services of Ted Arcidi, they've been going at it with the Soul Patrol. Arcidi has gotten involved a few times and say him and the Power Twins just love beating the Soul Patrol up for the fun of it. The RPMs and Pros have been heating up, with the Pros saying they're legitimate wrestlers while the RPMs are pretty boy clowns and an embarrassment to wrestling. The AWA decided to put all these feuds in one match and see who survives. El Canek vs. Konnan w/Gary Hart It seems Hart was the one who convinced Konnan to go solo. Hart has promised to take Konnan all the way to the top. He said Konnan will prove he's the greatest wrestler to come out of Mexico. In order to do this, they have targeted El Canek, a true Mexican legend. Hart says Canek's days are over and it's time to move over for Konnan. Canek has been at the top of AWA cards for years and is a former AWA International Champion. Old lion vs. Young lion. Tag Team Tornado Match The Tribal Nation vs. The Guerreros These teams have been in a heated feud. In the last two matches, the Guerreros won one with a sack of coins and the Tribal Nation won one with tomahawks. It's gotten to a point where only a tornado match can resolve this. 'The Modern Day Warrior' Kerry Von Erich vs. 'Dangerous' Dan Spivey Spivey came in as a paid hitman by the Horsemen to take care of Hulk Hogan. Kerry was fed up with the Horsemen's odds and stood by Hulk Hogan. Kerry diverted Spivey and things got heated. Spivey tried to attack Kerry during a TV match but Kerry sent him through the ropes with a discus punch. A week later, Spivey got to Kerry and in a horrifying moment, got Kerry up for a crucifix slam and slammed him through the announcer's table! Spivey has promised to end Kerry's AWA days for good. Kerry has vowed revenge at SuperClash. BOOT CAMP MATCH Carlos Colon vs. Col. Debeers This started at Champagne Slam when Colon eliminated Debeers from the battle royal. Debeers started a war with Colon. Colon is no stranger to wars in the AWA and proved that to Debeers. Both men have attacked each other, injured each other, bloodied and beaten each other. Each have won battles but the war has raged on. This war will finally end at SuperClash. AWA National Tag Team Title Bout Latin Desire (C) vs. The Heavenly Bodies Latin Desire lost the titles but regained them at WrestleRock. Since then they've faced all the top teams and have remained champs. The Heavenly Bodies quickly rose the ranks and received a title match at Title Night. The teams wrestled to a draw but the Heavenly Bodies attacked Latin Desire with the belts afterwards. Recently, Prichard interfered to help his partner Landel win against Lou Perez. A week later, Lou interfered and helped his partner Al defeat Prichard. During all this, Landel suffered an ankle injury. Nobody is sure if he's able to compete at SuperClash, so we'll see how all this works out. AWA World Title Bout 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair w/Tully Blanchard vs. Hulk Hogan Hogan arrived in the AWA 2 years ago and won the world title at WrestleRock 89. Hogan brought mainstream attention to the AWA, a ton of merchandise and has sold out arenas everywhere. Thanks to his influence the AWA has been able to attract top celebrities to their major shows. Needless to say, Hogan has brought a lot of money to the AWA. Ric Flair came to the AWA with a ton of buzz. At his press conference, he said he wanted Hulk Hogan and the world title. Well, he made a huge impact when he won the Champagne Challenge and earned a world title match at WrestleRock. At the May Title Night, Hogan retained the world title in a grueling match with Stan Hansen. Flair, Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko, locked themselves in the cage and attacked Hogan. Flair battered Hogan's leg with a chair and applied the figure four. Hogan's leg was severely injured. At WrestleRock 90, in what was called the match of the century, Tully Blanchard made a shocking appearance and helped Ric Flair win the AWA world title. Hogan took some time off to heal up. Meanwhile Flair defended the world title all over the globe as the Horsemen became stronger than ever. When Hogan came back, Flair said he wouldn't get a rematch and had to climb his way back up the ladder. The Horsemen put every obstacle in Hogan's way but Hogan got through it all and the rematch of the century was announced for SuperClash. After more run ins and attacks by the Horsemen, AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow decided that he would be the special referee to insure a winner at SuperClash. The fans have been waiting for this rematch since WrestleRock. Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, the two biggest names in wrestling in the biggest rematch in wrestling history for the AWA world title.
  3. Happy Holidays to everyone! Here's to another great year in Dawn of War
  4. I actually thought Rich was changing his ways. I guess Lawler was right all along. Thanks to Rich, Bossman gets an easy win. At least we're going to get more Lawler/Rich wars. Austin and Jarret go the limit in a show stealing match Valentine gets some revenge on Anvil After proving himself against Taylor, Steiner decimates Hot Stuff and gets the attention of Missy Valentine puts the hammer down but Steiner prevails Road Warriors give the fans a good showing Great write up for the finals. Bossman and Steiner went at it! I loved that finish. Very believable and made total sense. Steiner's on a whole new level now. It'll be interesting to see what happens when Rick returns. Savage, Steiner, the Road Warriors. Memphis has some damn good champions.
  5. It's so great to have you back! It's also great seeing Platt, Pedicino, Fuller and Stubbs. It's the true spirit of Southeastern Championship Wrestling. And of course we had to have an RPG cameo LOL The Armando/Al Madril storylines was one of the funniest in the game's history and it's off to a great start here You really put together a solid roster from free agency. It's good seeing the Rich's, Dark Journey, Price, Garvin, Fidel and Starr working again Violent Night will be a fun way to spend Christmas and watch a tournament for the title. JYD might be the favorite here Welcome back!
  6. All the top feuds are going into Starrcade with serious heat After an epic rivalry, it's awesome seeing Steamboat and Muta unite against the Dangerous Alliance Demolition and the Samoans have torn it up the last couple months and I can't wait for the explosive blow off I think Doom and the Undertaker have an incredible 91 ahead It looks like Sting's going to get the Luger he wants inside the cage
  7. Loving the feud between PnP/Morton and Williams. Commissioner Renesto bantering with Tasha will make for good TV. This is going to be a lot of fun The Crazies make me scratch my head LOL Red Dog will be huge here. I have to say that Rob Van Winkle is cracking me up
  8. Your December Vignettes always get me pumped up for the next year.
  9. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 12-19-90 Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Tonight, AWA world champion Ric Flair and the Immortal Hulk Hogan will be in the ring for a special announcement by AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow. It should be an exciting night of action as we're only two weeks away from SuperClash! Fans, I've been told that Ken Resnick is outside waiting for the Enforcers and Tully Blanchard to arrive. Resnick: Thank you very much Larry. The Horsemen have insisted I greet them because they have something to say. A Cadillac pulls into the parking lot. It parks, the doors open and out walks Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko. All of them have arrogant smirks. Those smirks quickly turn to looks of horror as they run back into the car and slam the doors shut. Dick Slater, Ron Garvin and Don Muraco run into view. They have lead pipes in their hands. They just start pounding away on the Cadilac! Tully starts the car and puts it in reverse as Garvin, Slater and Muraco bust out the windows! The car's flooring it in reverse as the hits continue. The Horsemen finally get out of the parking lot and speed away. Resnick: Oh my! I'll tell you what, I think the Horsemen are in big trouble at SuperClash. Garvin, Slater and Muraco turn around with looks of fury. Everybody gets out of their way as they walk by. Commercial Break Col Debeers vs. Ray Glader Debeers still has some welts on his back from that whipping Colon gave him a couple weeks ago. Debeers is brutal tonight and wins the match with his front face piledriver. Nelson: Col Debeers, it's you and Carlos Colon in a bootcamp match at SuperClash. Debeers snatches the mic. Debeers: Carlos Colon! You untouchable peon! You whipped me like a dog! Trust me when I say this, at SuperClash I will win this war and I will make you suffer like the inhumane animal that you are! Commercial Break The Takano Dragons vs. 'The Future' JW Storm and 'Gorgeous' Gary Young w/Austin Idol The Takanos start strong. George uses his high flying tactics and Shunji brings the power. The tide turns as Storm shows off his power while Young's underhanded tactics come into play. After a few more minutes of back and forth action, George hits a snap suplex on Young but Storm breaks the pin attempt. Shunji runs in and a big boot to the chest sends Storm through the ropes. Shunji clotheslines Young as George hits a senton for the win. Idol's irate on the outside. After Blaze's win over Santana last week and the Takanos win tonight, they definitely have momentum going their way as they head into SuperClash for a chance at the 6 man titles. Commercial Break We get a fun video of TV star Alyssa Milano saying she's excited to be the special guest ring announcer for the AWA TV Title Bout at SuperClash Gama Singh vs. Neil Jordan Gama's focused tonight and wins the match with the Indian Deathlock. During Gama's interview, AWA TV Champ David Sammartino comes out. Gama and David talk about sharing the upmost respect for each other and are looking forward to a hard fought contest at SuperClash. It ends with a handshake. Commercial Break We see the British Bombers standing in a junkyard swinging chains. They talk about how their fully healed up from their injuries. They say Buzz Sawyer and Missing Link aren't the only ones who can swing a chain. They say they're coming to SuperClash for one reason...Payback! We see Gary Hart and Konnan standing in front of a SuperClash banner. Hart says El Canek's time has come and at SuperClash, Konnan will show the world why he and not Canek is the greatest wrester ever to come out of Mexico. 1991 will be the year of Konnan! We get some special comments from Belinda Carlisle who will be singing the National Anthem on night 1 and America the Beautiful on Night 2. That's followed by comments from the very special main event guest time keeper, Malcolm -Jamal Warner The Tribal Nation vs. Trent Watkins and Harold Bannister Tribal Nation are in sync tonight and win the match with double tomahawk chops from opposite ropes. Tribal Nation cut a promo and say they're stooping down to the Guerreros level at SuperClash and will take pleasure in beating them at their own game in the Tornado match. Commercial Break Iceman Parsons w/Jacquline vs. William Hillman Parsons wins the match with the Hip Attack. As Parsons dances and celebrates, LEO BURKE hits the ring with taped fists. Parsons turns around as Burke K.O.s him! Burke holds his fist high to the cheering fans. As Burke leaves, Jackie is trying to revive Parsons by fanning him with a towel. Commercial Break The Soul Patrol vs. The Power Twins w/Ted Arcidi These teams have had quite a feud going since the Power Twins acquired the services of Ted Arcidi. Both teams will be involved in the 10 man Elimination tag match at SuperClash, so we get a little preview tonight. The bell rings and fists are flying! It doesn't take long for Arcidi to get involved which leads to a DQ. The bell's ringing but both teams keep fighting into the commercial break. Commercial Break We see music video to AC/DC's Shook me all night long. It's highlights of Stan Hansen and King Kong Bundy destroying opponents. These two will meet at SuperClash for the AWA International title. We see Superstar Bill Dundee in front of a SuperClash banner. Dundee: Have Mercy! The one and only Superstar is back! Thank you, Tully Blanchard. At SuperClash you have nothing to worry about because I'm going to finish my business with that beach bum Muraco and you Horsemen can continue to take care of your business daddy! Commercial Break 'Thrilling' Tom Brandi vs. 'Jamm'n' Tommy Jammer w/The Vin Man As soon as the bell rings, Brandi dropkicks Vinnie out of the ring. Brandi's all over Jammer as he pinballs him all around the ring. Brandi slams Jammer down and goes to the top rope but Vinnie hops on the apron and pushes him off. Jammer takes control and suplexes Brandi. Jammer chokes Brandi on the bottom rope and argues with the Ref which allows Vinnie to slap Brandi. Jammer slams Brandi and goes to the top rope. Jammer crashes down with a knee drop but Brandi moves. Brandi fires up and pounds away on Jammer. Brandi swings Jammer to the ropes and hits a flying body press but Vinnie gets on the apron and distracts the Ref. Brandi gets up and grabs Vinnie and starts choking him. Jammer staggers up, runs over. He goes for a flying knee but Brandi moves, Vinnie crashes to the outside as Brandi rolls up Jammer for the 1..2..3! A couple minutes later, Vinnie and Jammer are having heated words as they walk up the aisle. Commercial Break Brenda Britton is standing in the ring. Britton: Hi everybody! As you all know SuperClash is right around the corner and tonight the AWA C.O.O. the great Gerry Morrow has a special announcement to make. OK Gerry, come on out. Morrow comes out wearing a white suit and fedora hat. He steps into the ring and kisses Brenda's hand. Morrow: AHHHHHHHH Brenda, look how far we've come. Ok, let us get down to de business. I've asked dat de AWA world champion Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan be present. However, there will be no physical contact. So gentlemen, please come to de ring. Flair calmly walks into the ring wearing a suit, sunglasses and the world title on his shoulder. Hogan comes out to Eye of the Tiger and has the fans rocking! He's wearing jeans, tank top and bandana. Both men stare each other down as Morrow warns them to be cool. Morrow: Gentlemen, at SuperClash, in de rematch of de century, you two will once again wrestle for de AWA world title. With all de chaos recently, I have to make sure dat there is a clear winner at SuperClash. In order to do dat, I've assigned a special referee. Britton: Wow Gerry! That's a great decision! Who's it going to be? Morrow: HAHAHAHA it is going to be yours truly! Britton: Really?!?! That's amazing! I can't believe it! Morrow: Like I said, there must be a clear winner at SuperClash and only I can make sure dat happens. Yes, de champagne man is back in de ring to insure a winner. Now, you both have de opportunity to speak on dis. Flair: (looks around at everybody in the ring then smiles) You know Morrow, it seems to me, you, Hulk Hogan and all the AWA big wigs are trying to stack the odds against Ric Flair. Oh I get it. You all can't stand the fact that I can back up everything I say. On day one I said I was going to defeat Hogan for the world title and I did! OOOOHHH but crybaby Hogan couldn't handle it and he had to cry and cry until he got his way.. Hogan: Hold on just one second Ric Flair! You wouldn't have accomplished anything if it wasn't for your Horsemen goons. Don't think I forgot about that attack in the cage last May. Don't think I forgot about Tully Blanchard's interference at WrestleRock. Don't think I forgot about you boys hiring Dan Spivey as a hit man. Oh yea Ric Flair, you're nothing without your goons and now that I know everything will be on the up and up at SuperClash, you don't stand a chance brother and that title will come back to me and all my Hulkamaniacs!! Flair takes off his sunglasses and jacket Flair: Hogan! You seem to have forgotten who you're talking too! I'm the limousine driving, jet flying, kiss stealing wheeling and dealing Nature Boy! I wear the finest clothes and the best watches but you know what completes my attire. (holds up the title) This! The AWA world title. This right here means that I'm the best wrestler on the face of the planet. I've defended this title in Canada, Mexico, Alaska, the UK and all points in between. At SuperClash, Denver's just another destination and you're going to be just another title defense. You're not in my league Hogan and I'm going to make a fool of you at SuperClash! WOOOOO! Hogan: Well let me tell you something Ric Flair, I've never felt better and I've been hanging and banging with the weights like a madman! The only thing on my mind is beating you and getting the world title back brother. You and your Horsemen have thrown every obstacle in my way but failed miserably! At SuperClash, it's you and me, one on one and believe me, you're not up for the task! So, Ric Flair, whatcha gonna do when Hulk Hogan and Hulkamania run wild on youuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!! Hogan rips off his T-Shirt and gives Flair a flex. Flair holds up the title and points to himself. Morrow: AHHHHHHH YES! Dis is what it is all about! Gentlemen, I will see you both at de main event of SuperClash. Best of luck to both of you. Britton: As always, it all happens right here. Until SuperClash, tooooodles. Next week will be the SuperClash preview show.
  10. Cool Vignettes. I admit, I loved the Disco Inferno gimmick. Can't wait to see what you do with him. The Horace vignette reminded me how much I miss them IRL. It's such a great way to introduce a character.
  11. Once again, the promos set the stage for SNME AHHHH I should've known. Benoit is now with Frenchy. This alliance will be dangerous Ronin and P&G will be a fun feud for the tag titles Looks that that sneaky Lawler is now the official King of the WWF. Kevin went out like a Golden Warrior. Loved the tornado match. Funk and Dusty get to continue their feud while Dustin becomes a star. The battle royal with the SS winners was such a great concept. A lot of action. Tito shined but, in the end, Jake really went over strong to get that 30 spot.
  12. HTM is lucky to have such a caring manager like Jimmy Hart. Get well soon HTM A Lawler less Memphis will be very interesting. York and Wallstreet clear everything up and it looks like Nakano wants a piece of Medusa Austin gets back on the winning track while Medusa takes her frustrations out on poor Jimmy Hart. Hasn't the man suffered enough The fans in Nashville will get a great night of tournament action. We'll see who heads into 91 with the Southern title. Who knows, it might just be the cock of the walk Terry Taylor. Savage is ready for 91. Memphis might be upside down but that means we're in for more exciting times ahead.
  13. Great job building up Starrcade. A lot of this year's big feuds will have some epic blow offs-Sting/Luger in the cage, Dangerous Alliance/Pilman/Steamboat/Muta, Doom/Rockers, Demolition/Samoans and of course we'll see who really rules the world between Sid and Gigante. Nikita and Barb are going to rock that chain match. I agree with the squash match descriptions, I got some good laughs. You and A.D. sure make squashes entertaining for the readers. WCW had one hell of a year. Starrcade's definitely going to end it on a high note
  14. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 12-12-91 Footage from last week is shown as Dan Spivey hoists Kerry Von Erich up in a crucifix position and drops him through the announcer's table. Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Fans, I want to let you know that Kerry Von Erich spent a night in the hospital but left on his own volition. I can say he didn't break any bones and has stated that nothing will keep him from getting his hands on Spivey at SuperClash. I know he didn't break any bones but my goodness was he banged up really bad. Not to mention he was extremely dazed and incoherent before leaving... Boos as Dan Spivey storms out and snatches the mic from Larry Nelson. Spivey: Kerry Von Erich! If by some miraculous miracle you show up at SuperClash, what happened to you last week will be nothing compared to what I do to you in Denver! You interfered in my business with the Horsemen and costed me a lot of money. At SuperClash, I'm coming to collect by whipping your ass! Spivey throws the mic at Nelson and storms off. Nelson: Good grief, that's going to be a colossal collision at SuperClash! Ok, let's get to the ring. The Professionals vs. The Rock n Roll RPMs These two teams have developed a rivalry of late. The Pros have stated that the RPMs are nothing but a couple of pretty boy punks that give wrestling a bad image. The RPMs have said the Pros can't keep up with an experienced team as themselves. Both teams will be involved in the 10 man elimination match at Superclash. The match is back and forth. The RPMs use their speed and high octane offense to throw the Pros off guard. The Pros comes back and put their technical skills to use. The tide turns several times until the 10 minute time limit expires. After the match. the RPMs start to exit but the Pros jump them from behind. Both teams fight to the outside and into the commercial break. Commercial Break The Magnificent Muraco vs. Neil Jordan Muraco is aggressive tonight and wins the match with an inverted piledriver. As Muraco gets his arm raised, TULLY BLANCHARD comes down the aisle with a microphone. Tully: Hey Muraco! How are you buddy? Muraco is heated and heads to the ropes but before he can exit he's nailed from behind with a chair by BILL DUNDEE! Dundee hits Muraco's back a couple times with the chair, then slams Muraco on the chair. Dundee goes to the top rope and hits his Bombs Away on Muraco. Tully nods and heads to the back. Nelson: Bill Dundee! What the heck are you doing back in the AWA and what was that all about? Dundee: Muraco! Did you think I would forget all about what happened last year? I lost my Superstar moniker because of you and your manager Billy Graham. Well, Billy Boy's no longer around and when Tully called me and updated me on what's going on, I didn't hesitate one minute to represent him at SuperClash. So, let me be crystal clear Muraco. The real Superstar is back! See you at SuperClash beach bum! Commercial Break Nelson: Well, it's pretty clear that we now know who Muraco will be wrestling at SuperClash. Remember, if Muraco defeats Dundee, he gets 5 minutes with Tully Blanchard. Geez, I can't imagine what Muraco will do to Tully for 5 minutes. Fans, here to give us a special performance, Maxx Payne. Payne's at the top of the aisle. He's in total grunge gear and starts jamming on his guitar. He plays until the commercial break. Commercial Break When we get back, Payne is still jamming on his guitar. Tom Brandi is heading out for an interview. Payne gets distracted and stops playing. Payne gives Brandi a long and harsh stare as Brandi heads down the aisle. Nelson: It appears Maxx Payne forgot about the time during his riveting performance. Ok, with me now is Tom Brandi. Tom, you'll be a part of the 10 man elimination match at SuperClash. Tommy Jammer will be on the other side. You two have been going at it for months and next week will go one on one right here. Before Brandi can talk, Maxx Payne walks over. Payne: You just made the biggest mistake of your life. Nobody interrupts me and my guitar Norma Jean. Payne walks away leaving Nelson and Brandi puzzled. Brandi regroups and cuts a promo on Tommy Jammer and the Vin Man regarding SuperClash and next week's match. Bobby Blaze vs. Ricky Santana w/Austin Idol Before the match, Idol cuts a promo and says he has unfinished business with Blaze and the Takanos. He reminds everyone how they cheated him and the Starrs out of a win at WrestleRock. Idol says things will be rectified at SuperClash when his Idols defeat those 3 stooges for the 6 man titles. The match is fast paced. Blaze comes out with serious momentum and hip tosses, dropkicks, back drops and slams Santana all over the place. Interference by Idol helps Santana get control. Santana hits a flying press but Blaze kicks out. Santana works Blaze over with some hard shots and slams and almost wins the match with a flying knee but Blaze survives. Santana goes for a suplex but Blaze fights it and executes his Northern Lights Suplex on Santana 1..2..3! Idol hits the ring but Blaze rolls out and celebrates with the fans. Commercial Break We see a special press conference from Japan. The media is hyping up the Jumbo Tsuruta/Mr. Saito SuperClash match. Jumbo and Saito stand at the top of the stage as flashes from cameras light up the room. No doubt about it, the Japanese media will be all over this match at SuperClash. We then see Ron Garvin and Dick Slater standing in front of a SuperClash banner. Their right hands are still bandaged up from the Enforcer's parking lot attack. Garvin and Slater hold up their bandaged up hands and say the Enforcers did a pretty good job but they must be stupid if they think we can only punch with our right hands. They go on to say at SuperClash they're going to bust up the Enforcers faces and take the world titles! Cactus Jack vs. Todd Rooney Jack's all over Rooney and wins the match with a double arm DDT! OH NO! Nell leads Hangman to the ring. Hangman clotheslines Jack from behind! Nell tosses Hangman his noose. Hangman wraps the noose around Jack's neck and hurls him over the top rope! Nelson: My goodness! He's hanging Cactus Jack! Hangman pulls the noose hard. Jack's hanging over the top rope. Jack's actually screaming and laughing! Prelim wrestlers and officials storm out. Nell calmly walks into the ring and touches Hangman's shoulder. Hangman releases the noose. Cactus falls to the floor and is coughing and still laughing. The man's crazy. Commercial Break 'Mad Dog' Buzz Sawyer and The Missing Link vs. Samson Smith and Ray Glader Sawyer and Link brutally beat up their poor opponents. Link hits a diving headbutt and Sawyer follows with a powerslam for the win. Sawyer and Link grab their chains and head to ringside to a very nervous Larry Nelson. Sawyer: (manacle laugh) You scared Larry? I'll tell you who better be scared. Those British wimps better be scared because this is what's coming to them at SuperClash! Sawyer and Link take their chains back into the ring and start beating up their fallen opponents with them. Sawyer drags one poor soul to the camera and yells "Time to play Bombers!" Link and Sawyer roll up their chains and knock the dudes out. Commercial Break AWA National Tag Champ Al Perez vs. 'Heavenly Body' Tom Prichard Footage from last week is shown as Prichard helps his partner Buddy Landel get the win over Lou Perez. However, it looks like Landel may have injured his ankle. Perez is relentless as he takes it to Prichard. Perez scores several near falls but Prichard stays alive. Prichard comes back and has a good segment but can't put Perez away. Landel comes out on crutches and starts bad mouthing the Ref. While the Ref is distracted with Landel, Lou Perez hits the ring and gives Prichard an overhead suplex. Lou exits. Al hoists Prichard up and hits the helicopter drop. The Ref turns around, runs over and counts 1..2..3! Landel is pissed as Latin Desire celebrate and hold up the National titles. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, what a night this has been. Boos as Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard and the Enforcers stroll into the ring. Flair grabs the mic. Flair: Hogan! I want you to take a good look around brother. Have you noticed something? All your friends are gone, taken out courtesy of the Horsemen. Why? Because that's what the Horsemen do. All of them Hogan! Gone! Oh wait, my mistake. You're the last man standing immortal one. Morrow: Mr. Flair. you will release the hold immediately! If you don't, I will strip you of de AWA world title! Now, kindly release the hold. Flair and the Horsemen are beyond pissed and eventually back off. Morrow: You made de right decision Mr. Flair. I will see you and Hogan in de ring next week because I have a very important announcement to make regarding SuperClash. Hogan starts to slowly limp up, but security quickly gets in there. If we thought the Horsemen were pissed just look at Hogan's face. He tries lunging at the Horsemen but Security uses all their strength to hold him back. The Horsemen and Morrow have words as Flair taunts Hogan.
  15. Billy Jack vs Ace is a fun match up between old schoolers. I love the idea of year end awards. I might have to copy this from you Great descriptions for the squash matches. It gives us a good visual with creativity. I wouldn't want to be Slick after hearing Brown's resolution. That's true, Chono does have a cool factor to him Benoit and Dynamite is a nice passing of the torch program I like how you acknowledge the changing times but you're right, a flag waiver is appreciated and respected. SNME is loaded! I can't wait for the next Funk/Dusty one on one explosion and this time for the title. The tag match should be a great set up for that LOL, I could see Sherri and Lou having a war of words

We then see Stan Hansen in front of a SuperClash banner with bandaged ribs and a wad of tobacco in his mouth. Hansen: Bundy! You fat slob! You tried to hit me with your best shot but I'm still standing boy! You're going to need a lot more than that at SuperClash if you want to take my International title and put me down! All you did was make me mad and I'm taking all that anger out on you boy! King Kong Bundy vs. 3 Poor Talents Bundy swings all three men into the corner and Avalanches all of them. For 6 months I've been defending this here world title all over the globe and all people kept saying was that I've been ducking you. See previous post for full SuperClash card
  21. Koko and Zenk make a fun high flying duo. I could see them gaining a following Loved the Berzerker, Earthquake match descriptions Jake always stays relevant with his promos alone Speaking of promos, King Kevin is fired up Man, Silver King has been on a hot streak Benoit getting more ruthless Funk vs, Rhodes, one more time. Let's do it! Power and Glory will be tough challengers for Ronin
  22. I always loved this idea Feel free to do something with the upcoming Flair/Hogan SuperClash match
  23. I agree with AD. Don't feel bad about time constraints. Your match details have amazed us all, so don't worry about that. Scott gets a cool submission win in a fun fast paced opener Nagai definitely brought a lot of energy tonight but Kanemoto seemed more focused and finished with a nice sequence The tag team bouts were full of excitement. I really liked the contrast between the two. The fans were treated to several different fighting styles. The first bout ends with a painful submission while the second ended with a devastating knockout. I had to catch my breath after these bouts. Ruas did pretty good but man as the match went on, Karelin really came on strong and finished strongly. He really is a machine. Maeda and Takada battled! It's amazing how strong Maeda is after 20 brutal minutes. Maeda earned that one while Takada definitely bounced back from his Vader loss. Maeda vs. Karelin in the finals! That's going to be awesome!!!
  24. Man, it's really cool having your unique shows back. Morton gets the focus tonight with a solid promo and good hearted win Wild Dog will be fun to watch
  25. After a big show like the Clash, it's always good to have a cool down show to regroup. Things are going to get interesting if Muta joins in the fight against the Dangerous Alliance The fans in Atlanta have a nice Omni card coming
