Paul E's always looking into official documentation. I hope for Nikita's sake his paperwork is in order RnR and the Freebirds is always a good go to feud DDP is about to get a lot of in ring experience when he faces the Stinger Always liked the Orndorff/Roma pairing. Looks like they're getting a nice push here Nice build to the Sid/Bulldog Clash match. Two powerhouses going at it will be a blast to watch

Rough week for Pretty in Pink. I think Tasha's just about done with them Cool seeing Misty and Kat getting main event treatment The slow build is working because I can't wait for Morton to defend against Wild Dog If he's working for Tasha, then she found a good hitman with the Cuban Assassin.

One person I would not have wanted to be was the man facing Kawada after his title loss Fastball's winning and having fun I felt Scotty's slaps from here! Maybe this will finally wake Stevie up. After all the previous drama, Candido shows he can get focused as well Young hangs in there but Gordy's in the zone now FOJ wants back in the title picture Eddie's a proven contender but Busick owns the TV title right now Portland Sandman and Vito keep their feud going while Cornette runs for his life from Peaches The crybaby chants are too much for Candido. Just when I thought he was getting his focus back Lane gets a sweet victory Jericho rebounds with a beautiful win Condrey doesn't lose much in PCW so Bigelow's definitely back on track. Hart gets the fall after an ALL-STAR tag main event Eugene Wow Guido gets a submission victory. He's come a long way in his feud with Scorpio I think Blackman really needed that solo win. Coast to Coast is in total sync Liger and Dragon get the win and some first hand scouting RVD caps the weekend off with a successful CA title defense

Liked the house shows continuing the feuds like Warrior/Snake, Brown-Spivey/Slick, Duggan/Debeers and Dynamite/Benoit. Funk definitely made the right decision with both Andre and Tito going after him. Big win for the Bolsheviks beating a red hot High Energy The WWF classics Snuka and Andre will always be loved Damn, looks like Funk chose a side. Bart might need to convince Murdoch to join him. Debeers, Berzerker and Spivey show what the heels are made of. Haku proves he's still one of the baddest men on the planet by beating the always tough Wahoo I'm counting down the days to Mania!

The Steamboat/Hennig story gets top bill this weekend and now we're going to get a thrilling conclusion with an iron man match. Two elite workers going at it for 30 minutes will be awesome TV Davey Boy gets the big title shot but man Sid's ruling the world right now RnR comes back with strong support. We'll see how they do matching up with WCW's stacked tag roster I like the fun TV feud going on with Pillman and the Mountie. I would love to see Brad Armstrong sneak in a title match with Pillman. Nikita and the Rhodes have formed a nice alliance. Nice rivals for the Dangerous Alliance Sting stays in the spotlight and I wonder how long before him and Sid lock horns again

TNT is ready to explode! This promotion is loaded! With those matches booked, the kick off show will definitely have the wrestling world buzzing with excitement.

Adams sends a message that he wants another shot Wright has the talent but his arrogant attitude might be his downfall Thanks to Snow, Severn's snapped Thrillseekers could be wearing gold this year I don't see an end in sight with the Money Train and Thrillaz WOW! I didn't think anybody could stop Kawada's reign but Regal steps up and does it. This title fits Regal well and I have a feeling Kawada's going to be even more dangerous, if that's possible Vancouver Like everybody else, Fastball takes advantage of Stevie LOL Martel and Eddie put on a show stealing match. Hopefully we get another Dragon keeps his momentum going as he heads into a title shot Busick and Albright! More please! WrestleMania is really coming together Beefcake takes down the hammer but can he win the crown. Can the power of Billy Jack take down the monster Earthquake? I have a feeling Slick's going to get some bad news at Mania If the Outlaws are quiet that means a storm's coming The tag teams get highlighted Nasties and Fantastics in a street fight, bring it on! Warrior and Snake are two of the biggest names and get a high profile match at Mania.
-
R.I. gets a fun card with legends like Andre and Snuka along with hot new talent like Brandi and Disco. The Commonwealth/Northern Invasion feud is drawing some good heat. Loved the tournament in Boston. Billy Jack looks strong as he heads to Mania to face Earthquake. Everybody will want to see if he can clamp the full nelson on Quake. In Toronto, Debeers continues to get nuclear heat. High Energy is winning their way to a title shot. The Ronin have momentum going into Mania. Jake and Warrior turn up the heat on their new rivalry.
-
WrestleWar! Here we go! Pillman's always the way to go to get the fans energized LOL, only Hayes could survive like that. Props to the Bullet. The man still has it At least Holly got one move in. Taker's coming on strong I remember hating it when the VHS versions would cut several matches Hall's moving up Jannetty putting in time as a solo OOOOOHHHH Paul E added even more heat to the Nikita/Rude feud Doom's dominating the tag team scene right now. That match was a statement Steamboat and Hennig steal the show as Steamboat pulls it off. I'm thinking Paul E may have found a way to get the decision reversed Great write up with the War Games. Totally felt like I was there live. Sting's Squadron gets the win but man Sid delivers the final image. Poor Owen. WCW delivers once again
-
Renesto's losing his patience with Tasha The Dudley's bring the comedy and take care of business At least Richie was thinking of Tasha but his gift turns into chaos. Looks like Tasha found herself an enforcer. At some point I think I need a Dudley's/Crazies match LOL The final shot of the chicken at the end cracked me up
-
Things get crazy right off the bat as Debeers gives Ross a brutal beating. Luckily Duggan makes the save. Debeers vs. Duggan will be pure gold Beefcake gets a poetic countout win over Berzerker to get his shot at the crown Nasties and Fantastics will fight another day Manny just couldn't keep it clean. Great segment with Jake attacking Warrior. Went from light hearted comedy to serious drama in a second. Tito gets the win and Funk sends a message. The road to Mania just got real. All your Mania pieces are coming together

I agree with AD, Vines and Sword are a blast from our game's past. Tenryu and Bedlam is the money match and all hell's going to break loose next week. Tex and Pierce will fit in well here Love the classic bodyguard angle but I don't think they expected Bagwell getting some back up so soon Johny B Badd's been rock'n the main event slots
-
Windham vs. Condrey is a great match up to kick off the Aloha Spectacular. This win puts Windham back in title contention. I know Dibiase was pleased with his new man Lee after that victory. Candido was pissed but should be ecstatic to get some kind of victory over Piper Oh no, even Scotty is starting to lose his patience with Richards Well, now Richards is in hot water with the Playboy himself. How can Richards redeem himself from this night I loved that finish that put the FBI over the SOBs The Citadel puts a big stamp on Stormfront WOW! Van Dam puts an end to Douglas's hot streak and is now wearing gold Coast to Coast came in with momentum and were in full heel mode as they bring home the gold. At least my guys the FOJ had a credible run. Of course Liger and Eddie tear it up. Strong finish by Liger! Hell of a way to cap off night one Night 2 Lightning strikes twice for the Thrillseekers The Serial Thrillaz make Finlay proud I'm sure Dreamer loved putting Wright's smug face down with the DDT Damn! Mike gets the most awesome win of his career! He's definitely a big time player now It wont be long before Kawada sets his sights on the PCW title. The man is unstoppable! OOOHHHHH a potential Liger/Dragon LHW title bout? Bring it on! Oh yea Spinebuster Slam baby! However, it looks like that put Sabu over the deep end. Iron and Steel retain. I can't wait to see who's next Hart and Adams put on a classic to end the night. Hart retains but Adams just might get another shot. Great job! This literally had something for everybody.

Unsanctioned Match Hulk Hogan vs. 'Champagne' Gerry Morrow The program opens with highlights of Morrow's referee actions at SuperClash where he screwed Hulk Hogan out of the world title. It was later proved that Morrow did indeed accept money from an account managed by Tully Blanchard. Morrow was suspended from the AWA and terminated from his position as AWA C.O.O. We see highlights from last week when Morrow along with Brenda Britton made a shocking appearance on AWA TV. This brought out Hulk Hogan and led to Commissioner Magnum TA ruling an unsanctioned match. The lights at the Hammond Center dim as the AWA's in ring logo is covered. Magnum TA addresses the viewers that this is an unsanctioned match and will not be in the AWA record books. The fans boo big time as Gerry Morrow walks to the ring wearing a white tuxedo and white fedora hat. He gets in the ring and soaks in all the boos. The boos turn to a thunderous roar as Hulk Hogan heads to the ring wearing jeans and a Hulkamania tank top. Hulk has nothing but anger in his eyes as he's locked on Morrow. Hogan enters the ring, rips off his tank top and throws it at Morrow. The bell rings as Hogan charges Morrow! The fans are going nuts as Hogan unloads on Morrow with closed fists! OH NO! Jumbo Tsuruta, Mr. Saito and Shinya Hashimoto hit the ring and attack Hogan!! They just bombard Hogan with chops, punches, kicks and stomps! Hashimoto picks up Hogan and hits a Vertical Drop Brainbuster! Saito grabs Hogan and executes his Saito suplex! Saito and Hashimoto double slam Hogan as Jumbo comes off the top rope with a knee drop! All 3 men pick up a lifeless Hogan and triple powerbomb him down! Morrow clears the cobwebs and says something to the Japanese. They hoist Hogan up and drop him with another triple powerbomb! The Japanese bow to Morrow and exit. Brenda Britton walks into the ring with a bottle of champagne. Morrow slowly takes off his tuxedo jacket and rolls up his sleeves. Brenda hands Morrow the champagne bottle. Morrow kisses Brenda's hand and raises the bottle. Hogan is out of it. Morrow grabs Hogan by his hair and raises his head and sets it against the ropes. Morrow raises the champagne bottle and then bashes it over Hogan's head!! Hogan's unconscious and is a bloody mess. Morrow raises the broken bottle in a toast gesture, smiles and exits the ring. The boos are deafening as the fans throw garbage at Morrow all the way up the aisle. Medics and security rush the ring to attend to Hogan. The place is chaos. Commercial Break Ken Resnick is in the locker room Resnick: Fans, I'm shocked and appalled at what we just witnessed. The door swings open and in walks Gerry Morrow and Brenda Britton. Resnick: You have a lot of nerve barging in here like that. Oh yea, you must be real proud of yourself Morrow. Magnum TA bursts in Magnum: I never thought you could sink any lower Morrow but you just proved me wrong! They're taking Hulk to the hospital and he's bad shape. Here's the deal. I'm going to personally make sure you are never seen in the AWA again! I've never seen such a cowardly act in my life! Now get the hell out of here! NOW! Brenda hands Morrow an envelope. Morrow calmly opens it. Morrow: AHHHHHHHH MR. T.A., I told you dat you were a foolish man and Hogan was de biggest fool of them all but you did not want to listen. Remember dis envelope from last week? You were in such a hurry to try and punish me dat you did not bother to read de documents inside. Yes, I was indeed terminated from my position as AWA C.O.O. However, thanks to my brilliant lawyers, I have been reinstated as a wrestler. Resnick goes into shock as Magnum looks like he's ready to give Morrow a belly to belly suplex. Morrow: Dat is right! HAHAHAHAHA! DE Champagne Man is back! And as for my actions tonight, well, what can you do? After all, it was a non sanctioned match HAHAHAHAHA So, you see Mr. T.A. I will not be going anywhere and again thanks to my brilliant lawyers, I will indeed be participating in de upcoming tournament. It is a shame we will not be seeing de Hulkster compete. I know how badly he wants dat world title back. HAHAHAHA a very good day to you Mr. T.A. Brenda: And until we meet again tooooooodles! Morrow and Brenda exit Resnick: Magnum, what just happened? Can he do this? Magnum: (long angry pause) I need to go check on Hulk. Resnick: Fans, this was truly a shocking turn of events. I don't know what to say. I guess right now, we should all just hope Hulk Hogan will be ok. Goodnight, everyone.

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 2-27-91 We get a recap of what went down last week with Hulk Hogan, Gerry Morrow and AWA Commissioner Magnum TA. The result will be an unsanctioned match between Hogan and Morrow following this regularly scheduled AWA program. Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Well, you just saw highlights from last week and I can't believe I'm saying this but after tonight's episode there will be a special televised unsanctioned match between Hulk Hogan and Gerry Morrow. After what Morrow caused at SuperClash, I can't believe he actually had the audacity to even show his face in the AWA. Morrow might have paid for his actions so to speak but that's nothing compared to the punishment he'll receive at the hands of former AWA world champion Hulk Hogan. Stay tuned for that big event immediately following this show. Ok, let's get to the ring. The Missouri Tiger vs. Carl Kellerman Tiger overwhelms his opponent with power moves and finishes things off with a flying shoulder tackle from the middle ropes. Commercial Break The Equalizer vs. Trent Watkins Equalizer stomps and huffs as he beats his opponent senseless, then wins the match with a jumping stomp off the ropes. Commercial Break The Tribal Nation vs. The Bunkhouse Boys This match is hard hitting from the start. The Boys put their fists to work while the Tribal Nation's chops are in full force. Tribal Nation take over and almost get the win when Mark clips Golden from behind as Chris hits a flying press but Golden breaks the pin. Boys comeback and almost score a fall with a double clothesline on Chris but Mark saves the day. Things get crazy and turn into a pier six brawl. As the Ref is guiding Mark back to the corner, Golden takes off his boot and whacks Chris over the head. Houston covers as the Ref runs over and counts 1..2..3! Big win for the Bunkhouse Boys! Commercial Break We come back and see Greg Gagne at an airport. Gagne: As I told you at Superclash, the great Greg Gagne is traveling all the continents to find my ACE wrestler. When I find the most elite wrestler, my brains will take his talent and skills all the way to the top of the AWA. Now if you'll excuse me, Europe awaits. Nelson: I know I'm looking forward to Gagne's return (rolls his eyes) ok, switching gears. With me now is the AWA commissioner Magnum TA. Magnum, I know you're a bit preoccupied with the unsanctioned match after the show but I also know you have more information on the upcoming world title tournament. Magnum: Thank you, Larry and yea, I'm a bit anxious about the match later on. This will be a first for television and there's a lot of hatred involved. However, let's address the tournament. In the next few weeks, you'll see the first round match ups of the 32 man tournament. The tournament will start next week. The winners of the first round match ups will advance and wrestle the next round at Champagne Slam. The winners of those matches will be in a battle royal and the winner of the battle royal will be the new AWA world champion. Needless to say it'll be a long road to the world title and the man standing at the end will have definitely earned it. Commercial Break Maxx Payne vs. Gerald Goodeve Payne destroys his opponent and then clamps on the Payne Killer. The Ref signals for the bell but Payne will not release the hold. The bell keeps ringing and the Ref is yelling at Payne to release the hold but Payne wrenches away with a sadistic smile. The Ref winces as Payne breaks the poor young wrestler's arm! Officials run in. Payne releases the hold and continues to smile. This man is insane. Commercial Break Leo Burke and Bobby Blaze vs. Gary Young and Ricky Santana w/Austin Idol Idol proudly shows off Young and Santana's 6 man titles before exiting. Blaze and Burke work well together as they fluster Young and Santana. Thanks to a trip by Idol, the Idols take control. Young hits Blaze with a knee lift as Santana follows with a neckbreaker but he cant put Blaze away. Blaze eventually makes the tag to Leo and Leo cleans house. Another distraction by Idol gives the Idols control again. Young holds Leo as Santana comes off the top rope with a double axehandle but Burke breaks free as Santana hits Young. Idol gets on the apron but Blaze runs over and dropkicks Santana into Idol, knocking Idol off the apron. Young staggers up as Leo cradles him 1..2..3! Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, I've just been informed that because of his despicable actions earlier, Maxx Payne will not be allowed to wrestle in the upcoming world title tournament and is suspended for 30 days. Serves him right after what he did. Ok, back to the ring. AWA International Champ Carlos Colon vs. Dave Winters Colon looks fantastic and wins the match with a flying clothesline from the top rope. Colon does a cartwheel to show his excitement. Nelson: Carlos, I've been told that you will not be competing in the tournament because you're scheduled to defend your International title at Champagne Slam against the legendary Mil Mascaras. Colon: That's right. Although it is unfortunate that I won't be competing for the world title, I am looking forward to the opportunity to defend this prestigious title against a true International legend in Mil Mascaras. I said I would be a fighting champion and I want to wrestle the very best the world has to offer. Commercial Break AWA TV Title Bout Gama Singh (C) vs. AWA National Tag Champ Tom Prichard w/Jimmy Del Ray Gama starts off strong with hip tosses, take downs, arm drags and arm bars. Prichard takes control after a high knee and works Gama over with slams and suplexes. Prichard goes for an elbow drop but Gama moves and regains momentum. Gama dropkicks Prichard down and follows with shin breaker. Gama works on Prichard's leg and clamps on the Indian Deathlock but Del Ray reaches in a rakes Gama's eyes to break the hold. Prichard gets up, runs over and goes for a high knee but Gama moves. Prichard collides with Del Ray. Gama grabs Prichard and hits a bridging back suplex 1..2..3! Gama retains! Commercial Break Nelson: (laughs) Well, the Heavenly Bodies interference just backfired as Gama Singh retains the AWA TV Title. Well fans, coming up immediately after this program is..... There's a huge commotion as none other than 'WILDFIRE' TOMMY RICH comes out wearing a T-Shirt that says 'I never lost the AWA world title' Nelson: Good Grief! I can't believe this! Tommy Rich! What are you doing here?! Rich: Oh you better believe it Larry Nelson! I heard something about the AWA being fired up with a world title tournament. Well, that got good old Tommy Rich fired up! As my shirt says, I never lost the AWA world title. Remember that Larry? Nelson: Yes, I remember it quite well. You were stripped because you nearly caused a riot at the Mid South Coliseum. Rich: I was stripped because of that no good coward Jerry Lawler and the man in his pocket Jerry Jarrett. Well, they're long gone from the AWA and as a former world champion, I have the right to compete in the tournament. In other words Larry, I'll see you in the tournament. Great to see you again! Rich leaves Nelson: (watches him walk away, still in disbelief) I...I'm at a lost for words. (shakes his head) Ok, stay tuned for the upcoming unsanctioned match between Hulk Hogan and Gerry Morrow. Trust me, you won't want to miss this one.

Once Haku clamps on the Tongan death grip, it's all over Ross gets his shot at Debeers I feel sorry for Jake's next victim I like the Manny/Bart storyline. Two stablemates ready to solve their problems the Outlaw way Looks like Biff and Brown's stables will be getting involved soon. A good single's match with everybody brawling at the end is always good heat. Beefcake and Berzerker will battle for a shot at the crown. Either way, Lawler's in for a big challenge. I can't wait for the Brown/Slick blow off at Mania. Everybody wants to see Slick get some bad news. High Energy and the Nightmares is a fun TV main event. SNME will be determine a lot for Mania.

The stars get to shine with solid TV showcases. Liked the descriptions of the finishes. The War Games is stacked!

Love Morton bringing in Misty Blue. Tasha's getting nuclear heat and the fans will erupt when Misty gets her hands on Tasha. This is great TV! Frank and RVW had me cracking up when they were both trying to wrestle the REF In a twist, Wild Dog calls out the newly crowned TV champ. Morton's going to have a lot on his plate. Also, loved the pictures as the story's being told. Nice touch Awwwwww poor Tasha. I mean she couldn't get at least one letter. This was hilarious. The Wild Dog/Morton side story is interesting. We'll see how much patience Wild Dog has. The place must've been rock'n watching Misty put a hurting on Tasha. The feud needs to continue so we get the DQ and an awesome brawl to end the show.

Texas Tough, here we go Obviously big things ahead for the Ebony Express I'm sure Sullivan played a huge part creating the Moadid gimmick. Talk about intimidating! Can Ams get to shine and it appears opportunity awaits I can see how Irwin would get tired of getting thumped in the head by Link. His head must've been throbbing Fans get double satisfaction with both HTM and Hart getting the yellow paint It might not have been pretty but I would be entertained watching Steiner and Abby beat each other to a bloody mess RnR do the professional job. This elevates the Destruction Crew to a new level. Damn, Jerry Jarrett just sent a strong message to the talent. I have to agree with Jarrett, Muta was the right call and he had to keep his mainstays Austin and Wallstreet strong. I wonder how pissed Mascaras was Sullivan really does have a strong hatred for the Steiners Props to the Road Warriors for doing the job. It's the right thing to do and they did put over the right team. Vader's power and Jack's craziness will mesh so well together. Loved that visual of the Lawler's taking out Rich and Gilbert with their stereo finishers. I can't imagine the pop this would've gotten in Memphis. Luger doesn't win the title but leaves Savage laying. I get the DQ finish because it was too soon for Savage to lose the title and too soon for Luger to take a pin. The story continues I enjoyed the behind the scenes info. Let's us in on the reasons for the bookings. The follow up was great. New stars like Moadid and the Ebony Express are getting good exposure. Austin and Wallstreet remain top contenders. Link/Irwin is a fun feud to have in Texas. The Sullivan/Steiners feud has a lot of steam. With a stacked roster it's good to have solid working hands like Horner, Sugar and Graham to help put the newer stars over. I always liked writing for Keirn and it's good to see him back home again. After their big win over RnR, the Destruction Crew have some serious momentum and deserve a good run with the titles. Lawler gets a big blow off with the HTM. Now that Lawler has dismantled the First Family, I wonder if he'll get back into the title picture. Wow, the fans in Memphis get a huge treat as Savage defeats Luger in the cage! It'll be interesting to see if JJ can get Luger another shot. Great week for the USWA!

It's cool that we can watch and see how far the New Breed can go in our world. Tenryu and Bedlam will make Watts a lot of money. I know I would pay to see this big match up Bagwell continues to impress. I agree, I think he has the stuff The vignettes continue to hype up Venis and the Dudleys. Love your play on words. Hammer and the Headbangers are ready to rock Global. Warrior and Kabuki remain a frightening duo Badd with the kiss that can't miss takes down the mighty Zeus.

AWA picks up Mil Mascaras and Mike Shaw
