  1. The stars get to shine with solid TV showcases. Liked the descriptions of the finishes. The War Games is stacked!
  2. Love Morton bringing in Misty Blue. Tasha's getting nuclear heat and the fans will erupt when Misty gets her hands on Tasha. This is great TV! Frank and RVW had me cracking up when they were both trying to wrestle the REF In a twist, Wild Dog calls out the newly crowned TV champ. Morton's going to have a lot on his plate. Also, loved the pictures as the story's being told. Nice touch Awwwwww poor Tasha. I mean she couldn't get at least one letter. This was hilarious. The Wild Dog/Morton side story is interesting. We'll see how much patience Wild Dog has. The place must've been rock'n watching Misty put a hurting on Tasha. The feud needs to continue so we get the DQ and an awesome brawl to end the show.
  3. Texas Tough, here we go Obviously big things ahead for the Ebony Express I'm sure Sullivan played a huge part creating the Moadid gimmick. Talk about intimidating! Can Ams get to shine and it appears opportunity awaits I can see how Irwin would get tired of getting thumped in the head by Link. His head must've been throbbing Fans get double satisfaction with both HTM and Hart getting the yellow paint It might not have been pretty but I would be entertained watching Steiner and Abby beat each other to a bloody mess RnR do the professional job. This elevates the Destruction Crew to a new level. Damn, Jerry Jarrett just sent a strong message to the talent. I have to agree with Jarrett, Muta was the right call and he had to keep his mainstays Austin and Wallstreet strong. I wonder how pissed Mascaras was Sullivan really does have a strong hatred for the Steiners Props to the Road Warriors for doing the job. It's the right thing to do and they did put over the right team. Vader's power and Jack's craziness will mesh so well together. Loved that visual of the Lawler's taking out Rich and Gilbert with their stereo finishers. I can't imagine the pop this would've gotten in Memphis. Luger doesn't win the title but leaves Savage laying. I get the DQ finish because it was too soon for Savage to lose the title and too soon for Luger to take a pin. The story continues I enjoyed the behind the scenes info. Let's us in on the reasons for the bookings. The follow up was great. New stars like Moadid and the Ebony Express are getting good exposure. Austin and Wallstreet remain top contenders. Link/Irwin is a fun feud to have in Texas. The Sullivan/Steiners feud has a lot of steam. With a stacked roster it's good to have solid working hands like Horner, Sugar and Graham to help put the newer stars over. I always liked writing for Keirn and it's good to see him back home again. After their big win over RnR, the Destruction Crew have some serious momentum and deserve a good run with the titles. Lawler gets a big blow off with the HTM. Now that Lawler has dismantled the First Family, I wonder if he'll get back into the title picture. Wow, the fans in Memphis get a huge treat as Savage defeats Luger in the cage! It'll be interesting to see if JJ can get Luger another shot. Great week for the USWA!
  4. It's cool that we can watch and see how far the New Breed can go in our world. Tenryu and Bedlam will make Watts a lot of money. I know I would pay to see this big match up Bagwell continues to impress. I agree, I think he has the stuff The vignettes continue to hype up Venis and the Dudleys. Love your play on words. Hammer and the Headbangers are ready to rock Global. Warrior and Kabuki remain a frightening duo Badd with the kiss that can't miss takes down the mighty Zeus.
  5. AWA picks up Mil Mascaras and Mike Shaw
  6. Piper must be loving it right now watching Richards be a clown and Candido being a crybaby Candido really needs to focus especially in a title bout. Yep, Piper's loving this Lightning Kid will be a top name in the LHW division. Fastball's getting there but tonight belonged to the OWC When Busick gets his power on, it's all over LA Bigelow's back on a win streak Well, at least it wasn't Richards that caused Scotty's loss Condrey keeps racking up more wins Huge win for Adams. Defeating Martel definitely gets him ready for Hart I'm sure Cornette will get a rematch off that DQ win Hart takes a tough title defense and proves he's ready for Adams Santa Barbara Finlay is totally revitalized Guido's determined to get that clear win over Scorpio. He's getting closer Coast to Coast is on a serious roll Fastball gets their first big win. That's a real confidence booster Candido's losing matches and his mind Regal gives Kawada a true test but comes up short. No shame because Kawada's been unstoppable Liger ends the weekend on a high note Aloha Spectacular is stacked. A lot of issues will be settled.
  7. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 2-20-91 An instrumental music video is played showing highlights of the War Games. It ends with Hogan, Von Erich, Muraco, Slater and Garvin standing tall and united. We also see special footage of Tully Blanchard being put into an ambulance and taken to a hospital. Shawn Michales is nowhere to be seen. Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko get into a heated argument with Magnum TA in the locker room. It ends with Flair, Arn and Zbyszko quitting and storming out. Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. The immortal Hulk Hogan will be here tonight! I'm sure he has a lot to talk about. Also, the Rock n Roll RPMs will face TCB. The names drawn for this week's TV title contender's match are Tom Prichard and Johnny Smith. Well, you just saw... Nelson can't believe it but Brenda Britton is heading over. Britton: Hi everybody! Greetings Larry, it's been a while, you know the deal, now get lost! Nelson: What are you talking about and more importantly, what are you doing here? Are you crazy? Britton: I'm here to bring out the greatest C.O.O. the wrestling world has ever known. That's right, Champagne Gerry Morrow! Nelson and the fans are shocked. The boos are on another level as Gerry Morrow actually walks into the ring. Britton: Oh Gerry, just like old times. Let me be the first to welcome you back. Morrow: Ahhhhhhhhhh thank you very much Brenda. De champagne man is glad to be back. Nelson: Wait just a minute! What the hell is going on here?! Britton: Shut up Larry! I told you to get lost! Cheers as AWA Commissioner Magnum TA comes out Magnum: Larry's right. Just what the hell are you doing here Morrow? You've got some nerve even showing your face here! You've been terminated and in my opinion you're lucky you're not in jail! Morrow: Ahhhhhh Mr. TA, it is indeed a pleasure to meet you. De champagne man has a lot of money and a lot of connections along with de very best lawyers money can buy. (Morrow pulls out an envelope) All de information is in here. The place goes nuts as Hulk Hogan storms out and into the ring! He goes right after Morrow but Magnum pleads with Hulk. Several officials and security run in to get between Hogan and Morrow. Hogan: Let me tell you something Morrow! What you did at SuperClash was an abomination and put a black mark on the AWA and professional wrestling! You're the lowest form of scum and it's obvious you haven't suffered enough consequences. Morrow: It is my turn to speak and you, Mr. TA and all these fans will listen. Mr. Hogan, you are nothing more than a cartoon character. Ric Flair is the real deal. He's a world champion de AWA could be proud of. He walked out of SuperClash with de belt and right now should be representing de AWA and I should still be de C.O.O. but now Ric Flair has quit and I have lost my job. It is all your fault Mr. Hogan. If anyone should be upset, it should be me. Hogan lunges at Morrow but Magnum, officials and security step in. Hogan: That's it! Let's settle this! (looks at Magnum) I want Morrow in the ring! The fans go wild! Magnum: Hulk, I know you're upset and believe me, so am I. Gerry Morrow is not an employee here, so I can't do that. I will have Morrow escorted out of here immediately. Morrow: Ahhhhhh de Hulkster does not get his way. (laughs) What a shame. What kind of person goes around threatening people for no reason. Only a madman behaves like dat. (looks at Magnum) What kind of show are you running here? I believe it is time for de champagne man to take things back over. Magnum pauses and then smiles. Magnum: I said I couldn't sanction a match because Morrow isn't an employee. However, an unsanctioned match could take place after the show next week. The cheers get a lot louder Hogan: That works for me brother! Gerry Morrow, you got off easy for your despicable actions and you think you paid for those actions but you haven't paid to me and all my Hulkamaniacs. Next week, you will pay! Morrow: Mr. TA, you're a foolish man. Mr. Hogan, you are de biggest fool of dem all. Hogan: Listen up Morrow! Whatcha gonna do when Hulk Hogan, the AWA and Hulkamania run unsanctioned on youuuuuuuuu! Hogan rips off his shirt and throws it at Morrow. Morrow and Britton calmly exit. Hogan shakes Magnum's hand. Commercial Break Los Boricuas vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez The place is still buzzing from the last segment but Los Boricuas put on a solid performance. Miguel executes a suplex as Castillo follows with a sling shot splash for the win. Commercial Break Masa 'Tokyo' Chono vs. Samson Smith Chono's gaining a lot of traction with the fans as they chant TO-KY-O during the match. Chono clamps on the STF and it's all over. Commercial Break The Rock n Roll RPMs vs. TCB w/Jackie The RPMs are back and want revenge. Before the bell rings, they attack TCB. The match never officially starts but TCB takes quite a beating until Jackie's able to help them out of there. The RPMs are pumped up tonight! Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, with me now is the AWA commissioner Magnum TA. Magnum, I can't believe what happened earlier. Was definitely not expecting that. Magnum: You and me both Larry. Morrow was stupid enough to actually show his face here and now he must face the music. Hulk Hogan and Gerry Morrow will engage in an unsanctioned match next week after the televised program. I've been in touch with our sponsors and the match will be televised but will not be an official AWA program. Hulk Hogan is so fired up right now that I actually feel sorry for Gerry. I'm sure this will all be put behind us after next week. Nelson: I'm sure it will. Then we can move on to the AWA world title tournament which begins on March 6th. Magnum: That's right. 32 wrestlers will compete in the tournament. Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair were to receive first round byes but it appears Ric Flair has quit the AWA and will not be competing. I can't say Ric and I have seen eye to eye on things but it's a shame things had to end this way. As for Hogan, he will receive his bye. I hope he ends all this with Morrow so he can focus on the world title tournament. Commercial Break The Hangman w/Nell vs. Harold Bannister Hangman hits the Hangman's neckbreaker. Nell says something to Hangman. Hangman lifts up Bannister and drops him with the Heart Punch! It's over. As Bannister is being stretchered out, Nell cuts a promo and says who better to represent the AWA than the man who rids wrestling off all lost souls. Nell says the Hangman will become the AWA's savior and become the world champion. Commercial Break The Cobra vs. Ray Glader Cobra's high octane offense is in high gear tonight and he wins the match with high knee followed by a senton. Commercial Break Winner gets an AWA TV Title shot next week AWA National Tag Champ Tom Prichard w/Jimmy Del Ray vs. Johnny Smith w/Tony St. Clair We get a good match up. Smith puts his power game to work and gives Prichard some hard shots and slams. Prichard comes back with a superkick and works Smith over pretty good. Smith mounts a comeback. The Guerreros come out and start messing with St. Clair. Things get tense. The Ref gets distracted by this. Del Ray runs into the ring and clotheslines Smith. Prichard covers Smith as the Ref turns around and counts 1..2..3! The Guerreros attack St. Clair on the outside. The Heavenly Bodies laugh and walk away. Smith staggers up and runs to the outside but the odds are too much. The Guerreros double slam Smith on the concrete then swing St. Clair into the steel post. Officials run out. The Guerreros are satisfied and walk away. Nelson: Leave it to the Guerreros to ruin a good match. I'd hate to be the Guerreros when the British Bombers come for them. Fans, I still can't believe what went down tonight. Gerry Morrow foolishly shows up out of nowhere and now we have an unsanctioned match happening next week after our regularly scheduled program. That's right, Hulk Hogan and Gerry Morrow in an unsanctioned match, next week! I can't blame Hulk for being that upset after what Morrow did at SuperClash. I think we all wanted to forget that but seeing Morrow brought back that dark day in AWA history. As Magnum said, Gerry Morrow must now face the music. See you next week.
  8. WrestleMania is heating up because the Twin Towers are on their way for a shot at Ronin. Big time match! Tito deserves his shot and man has he earned it. I still say him and Funk are going to put on a blockbuster. Slick and Brown have been a fun feud. Slick's confidence and getting lawyers involved is great stuff No doubt about it, a Ross/Debeers feud will be money! Nasty Boys and Fantastics are exploding. I hope this feud goes to Mania. Regis and Kathy Lee join Willie for Mania. WWF giving Mania the star power Earthquake gets in a solid defense against a game Tatanka. I like that you give us matches from different locations. Nice change of scenery and a cool little touch.
  9. AWA @ The St. Paul Civic Center 2-14-91 This event will be taped for a special VHS release Double rings are set up for the War Games main event The British Bombers vs. The Guerreros Both teams had brutal victories at SuperClash and now are fighting for a shot at the titles. The match is a textbook tag team encounter with both teams showing off tremendous skill, chemistry and teamwork. It's a seesaw encounter that ends in a 15 minute draw. Both teams want more and I'm sure there's still more to come. The Equalizer vs. Bobby Blaze Blaze hasn't forgotten Equalizer's assault from last week and comes out swinging. Blaze rocks Equalizer early but Equalizer bounces back and gives Blaze quite a pounding. Blaze comes back and gets the win with a Thesz Press. After the 3 count, Blaze gives Equalizer a few more punches to the head for satisfaction. Leo Burke vs. Maxx Payne This one's been brewing since SuperClash when Payne interfered in Burke's match resulting in Burke being out of action for a few weeks. Burke hammers Payne with European uppercuts to start things off and continues to rattle Payne. Burke almost gets the win with a belly to back suplex. Payne weathers the storm and works away at Burke's arm and shoulder. Burke survives and makes a furious comeback. Burke swings Payne into the corner and charges in but Payne moves as Burke hits the turnbuckles shoulder first. Payne clamps on the Payne Killer. Burke shows heart but eventually has to submit. AWA National Tag Team Title Bout The Heavenly Bodies (C) vs. Latin Desire At SuperClash, the Heavenly Bodies won the titles from Latin Desire. Tonight, the fans in Minneapolis get a show stealing rematch. The fans are on the edge of their seats the entire time as the Heavenly Bodies and Latin Desire tear it up. Latin Desire almost get their titles back when Al executes a helicopter drop and Lou follows with a bridging back suplex but Prichard saves Del Ray. After nearly 30 minutes, all four men are in the ring fighting. While the Ref guides Al back to the corner, the Heavenly Bodies execute the double flapjack on Lou. The Ref runs over and counts 1..2..3! Heavenly Bodies retain! While the cage is being lowered for the War Games, Ken Resnick is standing by ringside. Resnick: Fans, before we get to the main event, I want to introduce a man who's come to the AWA. I'm talking about the Big Bossman! Bossman comes out in his Police uniform and baton. You can feel the hate and tension. As per Magnum TA's rule, Muraco and Tully must start the match. Muraco storms into the cage and is screaming for Tully. Tully doesn't want to get in there. The Horsemen are yelling up at Muraco and protecting Tully. Several officials order Tully in. Tully is throwing a fit as he takes a step up. Muraco runs over, grabs Tully by his hair and pulls him into the cage. A Ref slams the cage door shut and the bell rings. The Horsemen are yelling and pushing on the Ref. The bell rings! 10. Great build to the Wrestle War I always liked Brad Armstrong. Amazing ring talent. Nice to see him crack the top ten Doom just looks unbeatable. I'm not even sure Demolition can stop them Dusty's a nice addition to Nikita's feud with Rude. I would love to see a verbal face off between Dusty and Paul E The dead man is on the rise Great brawl to finish the weekend. Really sets the tone for War Games.
  11. Damn, that card is stacked! Literally something for everybody
  12. Smoking Gunns earn credibility by defeating Como and St. Clair Bedlam going after Tenryu is going to attract a lot of buzz Looks like Van Hammer's got a couple rock'n fans I loved the Zeus, Johnny segment. It was exactly how their gimmicks would play off each other Hahahahaha the Val Venis vignette is an instant classic. It had me cracking up the entire time. This character will get some good heat here. Bagwell's gaining traction The Dudley's get one hell of an introduction. Watts gives the New Breed and Smoking Gunns a golden opportunity. Either team would make great inaugural champs. Really fun show. The GWF has a lot of momentum going.
  13. Sandman sends a message to Big V The Thrillaz look good in a showcase Regal beats his rival as Dreamer and Malenko get heated Nice win for Modest but plenty more to come The best way to get out of a slump is a good TV squash Thanks to a little help from Awesome, Adams picks up more momentum as he guns for Hart Cow Palace Yep, Malenko and Dreamer are just getting warmed up MVC get some sweet revenge Vito smashes Griz Even though he lost the CA title, Condrey's still racking up wins Richards better get focused especially if Piper and Iron and Steel are in the ring UGH bad night for Richards. Time for a Playboy Club meeting Fresno It's all money I'll say this, Guido will not stop trying Midnights kill the enthusiasm I noticed Coast to Coast have been scoring some big wins lately. This could be another classic PCW resurgence Kawada's still the man! Once again, the LHWs shine in the main event

Commercial Break AWA 6-Man Title Bout Austin's Idol (JW Storm/Ricky Santana and Gary Young) w/Austin Idol vs. The Tribal Nation and The Missouri Tiger Austin Idol comes to ringside to make sure everybody knows he's back. His Idols proudly hold up their titles while laughing and antagonizing their opponents. BOOOOOOO Austin's Idols retain! Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, as you know, tomorrow night the War Games will take place at the St. Paul Civic Center. Saying there will be a lot of hatred in that match would be an understatement. Let's take a look at several events that led up to this match. We see all the highlights. The Horsemen attacking Hulk Hogan in the cage and injuring his leg. Tully Blanchard making a surprise appearance at WrestleRock to help Ric Flair defeat Hulk Hogan for the world title. We see Tully Blanchard sling shot suplexing the Magnificent Muraco onto a chair to help Flair retain. We see the Enforcers attack Dick Slater and Ron Garvin in a parking lot, slamming car doors into their hands. We see Slater, Garvin and Muraco bust up the Horsemen's car with led pipes to get some parking lot revenge. We see Shawn Michales appear at SuperClash and superkick Kerry Von Erich's head into the steel post. We see Tully Blanchard weasel his way out of the SuperClash stipulation by attacking Muraco with a steel chair. And of course we see all the SuperClash world title chaos between Hogan, Gerry Morrow and Ric Flair. We see last week's crazy brawl with the returns of Muraco and Von Erich. As everybody just saw, this has been months in the making. AWA Commissioner Magnum TA said there was no other way to solve this. It all happens tomorrow night in the WAR GAMES!!!
  15. I got a good laugh at Horace slamming the poor ring crew member. I'm liking this character build You have to have celebs at WrestleMania and Willie Nelson's a big one to get the event going It didn't take Debeers long to start some trouble I'm looking forward to seeing what's next for Jake. Whatever it is, he'll make it good Funk's right, that's how Manny and Bart should settle things. I hope Tito watches his back at SNME Spivey vs. Brown with the Slick stipulation is definitely a Mania match Good showcases for Haku, Valiant, Genius and Haynes Bundy and OMG as the Twin Towers is an awesome pairing! With your roster, I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun putting the Mania card together. Can't wait to watch it all unfold.
  16. I love the importance put on the TV title by having an entire program dedicated to it. Tasha was everywhere and almost succeeded with the roll of quarters until Wild Dog evened things up. Awesome drama. Morton's frog splash was epic and Bruno coming out to make the count was icing on the cake. Everything was built up so well with a thrilling pay off.
  17. I'm glad you mentioned that about Colon because that was exactly my thinking. After all those wars, I felt he deserved a title run.
  18. The Clash was solid all the way through I knew it would be a wild night when the beginning is Bullet Bob being stretchered out The Freebirds have luck on their side and remain champs. Loving the slow build of the Undertaker I can't imagine the pop Dusty got tonight. Nikita has some powerful allies with the Rhodes family. This could be a wild ride Marty was full of fire but Doom put a stamp on things. Of course Steamboat and Hennig put on a classic. The US title is absolutely perfect for Hennig. No matter what, Steamboat gets his respect The battle royal was a lot of fun especially the finish. Bulldog could get a nice push from this WOW! Wasn't expecting Sid to walk out with the title but this is going to be awesome. Very nice touch with the pole from the battle royal actually costing Sting the match. Sid does rule the world! Nice follow up with new angles and programs set. The War Games will be epic! Poor Marty, if he only knew what Michales has been up too I'd pay good money to watch Doom and Demolition brawl Love the importance put on the US tag titles with several teams wanting a shot
  19. Both Nagai and Kanemoto impress Paulsen looked sharp tonight and got to display his skills Scott had spirit but Yamada's experience was just too much The tag matches get showcased and contenders are being established Damn, Shamrock got his second wind and came back hard to defeat Suzuki Ogawa gave Onita an early scare but Onita showed serious resilience to get the win Tough break for Takada but I think Funaki was on the verge of winning anyway. Funaki's on a different level right now Maeda and Fujinami go all out in the rubber match. I can't believe both men could stand after that. Maeda retains and honestly I think the fans would be up for a 4th match down the road.
  20. Watts wastes no time in getting into the pay per view game Smoking Gunns impress the fans but not the New Breed. Kaz gives Bedlam his first real test but Bedlam aces it Rookie Bagwell puts in a tremendous effort but Pourteau shows why he's the champ Angel and Abby tear it up and tear into each other. Abby's next opponent better get that fork from him LOL, loved your spot on description for the Zeus/Haystacks match. Even though it wasn't pretty I believed it served its purpose Looks like Morgan didn't have enough in the tank to dethrone Tenryu. It's Bedlam's turn now. This is the money match.
  21. The Bulldozer has some big shoes to fill but seems up for the task Blackman finally gets a satisfying win over Snow Scotty's determined to get Richards on track Vito takes down Griz but the feud between these teams is on the verge of exploding Kid was defeated by gained some valuable experience being in the ring with Martel Liger's doing his part in keeping the LHW in the main event scene Portland I'm sure Modest got a pat on the back from Finlay Gordy shows Young what he's all about at full strength Williams and Gordy might need to find some help to even up the numbers Hahaha I can see Piper going all out with the crybaby chants Maybe that piledriver will knock some sense into Richards Rose takes Busick to the limit and proves he's still a title contender Eugene Money Train bounces back Guido just keeps coming up short against Scorpio Windham reminds everybody why he's one of the best Awesome saves himself and also manages to walk away with a DQ win over Slaughter Damn, Kawada is having the run of his life Stormfront's cheating isn't enough to dethrone the FOJ
  22. I think I would go with Kurt Angle. Verne would absolutely love this guy and he would be a perfect AWA world champion.
  23. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 2-6-91 Larry Nelson: Hello everyone and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Tonight's blockbuster main event will see the immortal Hulk Hogan take on Arn Anderson of the four horsemen. In other action, Konnan will face Bobby Blaze. Kokina Maximus will make his long awaited debut. We'll also hear from the AWA commissioner Magnum TA. However, before we get to all that, I have a huge announcement. We have a new AWA International Champion! That's right, this past week in Puerto Rico, Carlos Colon defeated Stan Hansen for the International title. It's now my pleasure to bring out the new International champion, Carlos Colon. The fans give a tremendous ovation as Colon walks out wearing a suit with the International title on his shoulder. Nelson: (shakes Colon's hand) Carlos, congratulations on winning the title especially in your homeland. Colon: Thank you very much Larry. After all the wars I've been in, I was ready for another one with Stan Hansen. It took everything I had but here I am proudly holding the title. I'm so happy right now and promise to be a fighting champion. I want to thank all the fans for their support and I promise to make them proud. Colon holds up the title as the fans cheer. Nelson: Once again, our new AWA International Champion, Carlos Colon! Commercial Break TCB (Mike Jones and Bobby Walker) w/Jacquline vs. Samson Smith and Todd Rooney The former Soul Patrol definitely show a new attitude as they aggressively work over their opponents. They finish things off with a double rib breaker. Nelson: Well Jackie, your team looks impressive but I've been told that the Rock N Roll RPMs will be back soon and they're going to be gunning for your men. Jackie: Don't make me laugh Larry. If those two tin men want to try TCB then bring it on and we'll make sure they never show their faces here again. That's a fact Jack! Commercial Break AWA National Tag Champs The Heavenly Bodies vs. Trent Watkins and Harold Bannister The Heavenly Bodies look sharp and win the match with a double flapjack. Nelson asks them about their upcoming title defense in St. Paul against the former champs Latin Desire. The Heavenly Bodies seem to be way overconfident as Prichard waves his hair around while Jimmy does a giggle with his stomach. They finally say they're not worried at all because it was so easy beating them for the titles. They ham it up for the camera and show off their titles before exiting. Commercial Break Konnan vs. Bobby Blaze Konnan shocked everybody last week when he took off his mask. He comes to the ring full of confidence. The fans know that Bobby Blaze will always put up a fight and he looks ready to go tonight. Blaze starts off strong with arm drags, drop kicks, back drops and scoop slams. Konnan rolls out of the ring and regroups. Konnan comes back and works over Blaze with some hard hitting moves. Konnan almost wins the match with a boomerang clothesline but Blaze survives. Blaze eventually fires up and goes to town on Konnan. Blaze hits a snap suplex followed by a jumping knee drop 1..2..Kick Out. Blaze swings Konnan to the ropes and goes for a back drop but Konnan kicks Blaze. Blaze staggers around as Konnan grabs him and hits the Konnan Crash 1..2..3! A moment later, Blaze gets up. WHAM! The Equalizer clotheslines Blaze from behind and starts stomping down on him. Officials quickly enter the ring. Equalizer stomps and huffs around. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, joining me now is the AWA commissioner Magnum TA. Magnum, the War Games is next week in St. Paul. You sanctioned this match and for good reason. Magnum: For the last few months, the four horsemen have caused nothing but trouble. SuperClash was the last straw. After what went down in the world title bout, Ric Flair and Tully Blanchard should've been fired along with that disgrace Gerry Morrow. However, I felt that putting them in War Games was a much better solution. Hulk Hogan wants to get his hands on Flair and he'll get that chance next week. I sure hope Tully's been training because I know he's got a big target on his back. Nelson: It all goes down next week in St. Paul. Ok, switching gears, I understand you have information on the upcoming world title tournament. Magnum: Indeed I do. The tournament will start on March 6th. I can tell you right now this is going to be big. It will be a 32 man tournament. More details in the weeks to come. I can also tell you that you will see the matches on TV throughout March and the tournament will culminate at the next pay per view Champagne Slam on April 17th. Nelson: That is big news! A monumental task to say the least. Ok fans, there you have it. The AWA world title tournament kicks off on March 6th. Commercial Break Kokina Maximus w/Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie vs. Arnie Goldstein Adnan steps into the ring and grabs the mic Adnan: It is time! Time to release the monster known as Kokina! Kokina enters the ring and stares down his opponent. The bell rings and Kokina steamrolls his opponent. Kokina picks up Goldstein and takes him over with a big belly to belly suplex. Kokina drags Goldstein to the corner. Kokina steps to the middle ropes and crashes down with a seated corner senton 1..2..3! Adnan: Nobody is prepared for Kokina! Commercial Break Nelson: Before we get to our main event, next week you'll see an AWA 6-Man title bout as Austin's Idols defend against the Tribal Nation and The Missouri Tiger. You'll also see all the highlights that have led to the War Games. Ok fans, main event time! Hulk Hogan vs. Arn Anderson w/Tully Blanchard Arn and Tully get in the ring and start antagonizing the fans and Ref. The place goes nuts as Eye of the Tiger blasts! The Ref signals for the bell. Hogan hits the ring and immediately pounds away on Arn. Hogan goes after Tully but Tully gets out of there quick. Hogan has Arn pinballing all over the ring. Hogan slams Arn and drops a big elbow drop 1..2..Kick Out. Hogan continues his onslaught on Arn. Hogan swings off the ropes but Tully grabs his leg. Hogan goes out after Tully but Tully once again sprints away. Hogan gets back in the ring but is met with a knee by Arn. Arn starts stomping down on Hogan. Arn swings Hogan to the ropes and gourds him in the stomach then follows with a knee lift. Arn suplexes Hogan 1..2..Kick Out. Arn chokes Hogan on the bottom rope and backs up to yell at the Ref. Tully runs over and slaps Hogan. Arn swings Hogan to the ropes and hits the spinebuster 1..2..Kick Out. Arn and Tully scream at the Ref. Arn spends too much time arguing with the Ref. Arn swings Hogan to the ropes but misses a clothesline, Hogan swings back and clotheslines Arn down. Hogan pumps his fists as the fans go wild. Hogan swings Arn to the ropes and hits him with an Axe Bomber! Tully gets on the apron. Hogan runs over and grabs Tully, then lifts him by the collar off his feet. Arn staggers up and runs over but Hogan moves as Arn collides with Tully. Hogan grabs Arn and executes a back suplex 1..2..3!!! OH NO!! Ric Flair runs in and clips Hogan behind the knee! Larry Zbyszko and Shawn Michales follow. Tully gets in there and everybody stomps down on Hogan. HOLD ON! Dick Slater and Ron Garvin hit the ring with fists flying. They hang in there but the numbers are eventually too much as the Horsemen regain control. UNTIL! Kerry Von Erich and The Magnificent Muraco hit the ring! They're back! The place is going bonkers! Muraco goes right after a pale white Tully but Tully sprints into the crowd while Muraco chases him. Kerry is all over Michaels with punches. Slater and Garvin are pounding away on Arn and Zbyszko. Hogan waves his finger at Flair. Flair begs but Hogan punches away on him. It's chaos as the show ends.
  24. High Energy are rising the ranks I can't wait for Funk vs. Tito. They're going to have a barn burner at Mania Slick isn't playing around. Spivey's some serious muscle and it could be bad news for Brown I think Bart and Manny are going to work things out with an old fashion fight Tugboat and Hammer get some shine Great angle with Minotaur. Perfect for his character Good to see Brandi still thrilling the crowds Northern Invasion win a battle against the Commonwealth. I'm sure this war isn't over yet.
  25. The Commonwealth are born again If you have a King in your name, you'll have to deal with Lawler. I'm really liking Lawler's heel run here The Nasties have been on such a roll that it was only a matter of time before they got some gold It took a lot but Earthquake dethrones Duggan for the IC title. I'm hyped for a Quake IC title reign After the craziness of the last two title bouts, it was the right time for the basics as Ronin wins with a cradle. The WWF gave us an epic Funk/Dusty feud. Manny helping Funk retain lets Dusty leave with pride. Again, great job with this feud. The Rumble was well written and easy to follow. The match had a variety of wrestlers and some surprise entrants. I popped for Tito winning. He drew an early number and eliminated Jake, who had the sweet 30 number. This made for a great underdog story. Tito taking on Funk for the world title at Mania will deliver. These guys will work well together and give the fans their money's worth. The Road to Wrestlemania is off and running!
