Fuller and Titan's promos get us pumped up for the show Damn! Kabuki and Vampire against the Moondogs? Oler better bring in extra security for that one Ole's a smart booker. He not only makes the Simpson, Armstrong/Funks match a big deal but makes Fire on the Mountain a must see event. The man just sold a ton of tickets with simple words. I have to say, Well Dunn has some guts. Cant wait to watch the Kongs and Harris bros fight it out for a title shot. Gilbert sends in Payne to do the dirty work. It's great seeing Maxx back in the game. Not sure Champion feels the same. LOL, fun segment with Kaz and Bruno. I think Kaz might regret that push. I can only imagine who Bruno's bringing in. Demon and Wellington give the fans an instant classic. It's a reminder that even with all the craziness, the fans can still appreciate a solid and hard working wrestling match. Bullet denies Callis a shot but welcomes a fight. A win by Callis just might give him that title shot. I think Bob better watch his back. WOW! Fuller might've gotten the win but Titan gets over in a big way tonight! Fantastic ending It's so much fun reading your shows. I like that you have the freedom of the free agency list. We never know who's going to show up. This really is a true territory. I sure hope SMW sticks around for a long time.

It was Luger! It was Luger the entire time! WOW! Didn't see that coming! Luger vs. Sting will be WCW's money making match of the year. No doubt about it, Luger and Sting is the headliner but I love that WCW has a lot of other hot programs going on like the Rockers/RWS and Steamboat/Paul E.

Great job with the Preview show. This gets us all caught up and pumped for the Great American Stampede.

The Thunder Dragons are quite the dynamic duo Watch out, the Sinister is making a come back The Peach Patrol is riding high Another faction on the move is the League of Gentlemen Looks like Bigelow and Awesome is the next big feud. These guys are going to tear it up Cow Palace If it's not the Patrol, it's the Citadel. Rough week for the Blondes. Since going solo, Kawada has been unstoppable If Piper and Hart are your teammates and you score the fall, that's a big deal. No doubt about it, Iron and Steel are ready for their shot Speaking of shots, I'm so ready for a Martel/Dibiase rematch. Hold on, Windham reminds everybody that he's still a serious contender Fresno The Midnights and Money Train break even. I'm thinking we're going to get some hot tag matches on the loop soon. Could Regal be the one to finally slay the monster The Peach Patrol ran over everybody this weekend Scorpio takes Barr the distance as the LHW division remains hotter than ever Condrey's incredible run continues

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 6-20-90 The show opens in a banquet hall. There's a long table with a podium in the middle. Behind is a huge WrestleRock 90 banner. AWA World Champ Hulk Hogan sits with his AWA world title in front of him. Ric Flair is sitting on the other side of the podium. AWA owner Verne Gagne, C.O.O. Gerry Morrow, Brenda Britton and various members of the AWA committee are also seated at the table. Extra security is on hand. A ton of press fills up the hall. Special WrestleRock promoter, Don King stands at the podium. King: Welcome everybody to this very special press conference. At WrestleRock, the AWA will bring to you the grandest and most epic blockbuster main event wrestling has ever seen. Hulk Hogan will defend the AWA world title against Ric Flair. I can feel the electricity in the air! Now I'll turn the time over for questions. The floor is now yours. A reporter asks Hogan about his leg and if he'll be 100% at WrestleRock. Hogan: No question about it brother! I've been training harder than ever and I promised all my Hulkamaniacs that Hulk Hogan would make it to WrestleRock and defend the AWA world title. If Ric Flair thinks he has the upper hand on me, he better think again. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about that cowardly attack. I can say this, it's only motivated me to get in the best shape of my life. A reporter asks Flair why him, Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko attacked Hogan in the cage. Flair: I've never kept it a secret that I'm the dirtiest player in the game and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to win the world title. That's how much passion I have for this industry. Can Hulk Hogan say the same? He likes to take time off and make movies. He likes to rub shoulders with Hollywood's elite. Me, I live, sleep and eat pro wrestling. Hogan needed a reminder on who he's getting in the ring with at WrestleRock. I'm Ric Flair, the greatest ever to walk that immortal aisle. WOOOOO! Hogan: What Hulkamania did was put pro wrestling on the map. Hulkamania made this sport a global phenomenon and I'm proud of that. But my proudest moment will be at WrestleRock when I defeat the so called greatest of all time in front of a worldwide audience. I've held the AWA world title for a year and Hulkamania is running wild and is stronger than ever brother! Flair stands up and takes off his sunglasses. Hogan stands up as well. They're nose to nose as security gets closer. Flair: (smirks) Do you really think you can beat me? Flair slaps Hogan! Hogan comes back and pushes Flair! Security swarm and break them up. Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko jump up there and attack Hogan. Flair joins in. Everybody falls to the ground. Security is trying to break it up as Flair, Arn and Zbyszko take shots at Hogan. The TV show starts Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Well, you just saw the WrestleRock press conference that took place earlier this week. I can tell you that after that melee, Hulk Hogan was limping and needed assistance walking out of there. I haven't received word on the extent of Hogan's injury but I can tell you that Hogan will be here next week to address the situation. I've also been told that Ric Flair will be here next week as well. I've also been told that AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow has added a stipulation to the world title bout. He says that if Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko interfere in any way, they will be banned from the AWA. I think that's a great decision. Ok lets get to the ring. 'The Mighty Yankee' Steve Disalvo and The Power Twins vs. Neil Jordan, Sam Smith and Clay Tomas The Power Twins double slam Smith as Disalvo follows with a Fallaway Slam for the win. Disalvo and the Twins cut a fired up promo and say Storm and the Destruction Crew wont be able to handle what they bring to WrestleRock. Commercial Break Good Vibrations w/The Vin Man vs. Carl Kellerman and Rance Moore Vinnie cheers as Beach executes a vertical suplex and Jammer follows with the California Splash for the win. Vinnie cuts a promo and says WrestleRock will be the ultimate showcase for Good Vibrations and their opponents the Swords of Light are out of their depth. YEA! Commercial Break Jimmy 'The Stud' Golden vs. Todd Rooney Golden's fists are taped as he pounds away on his opponent. Golden finishes things off with a piledriver. Golden starts throwing jabs in the air. The fans cheer as Leo Burke hits the ring with taped fists! Golden turns around as Burke floors him with a punch. Burke grabs Golden's hair and starts pounding away. Burke throws Golden's head down and pumps his fists to the cheering fans. Good call making Randall Tex Cobb the special ref for their taped fist match at WrestleRock. I think he's the only one that can officiate these guys. Commercial Break We see King Kahlua on a beach at nighttime. He's blowing fire. He raises his arms out at the ocean. Kahlua: Kahlua's time is here! David Sammartino knows he cannot stop me. At WrestleRock, the TV title will come home to me and right here will be the sight of a ceremony fit for a King and a champion. Austin Idol and The Starrs are standing in front of a WrestleRock banner Idol: Just when you thought it was safe to get back into the ring, the ALL-STARS have returned! That's right, we'rrrrrrrrrre back darling and ready to re debut at WrestleRock when we water down those fire flamed fools. Bobby Blaze and The Takano Dragons are standing in front of an animated fire. Blaze: Austin Idol and the Starrs thought they pulled a fast one on me. No way Idol! As you can see, I've got myself a fired up team backing me up. The heat's coming to WrestleRock! Commercial Break Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Harold Bannister Jumbo just annihilates his opponent and finishes him off with a powerbomb. Jumbo has a cold look in his eyes. He hoists Bannister up and gives him another powerbomb! Jumbo starts stomping down on Bannister, hoists him up and gives him a third powerbomb!!! Jumbo stares into the camera and yells "Muraco!" Poor Harold Bannister is stretchered out. Commercial Break Cactus Jack vs. Marvin Jones Jack wins the match with a double arm DDT! Nelson: Ok Cactus. At WrestleRock, it's you and Buzz Sawyer in a falls count anywhere match. You two have been in the most bloodiest and violent matches I've ever seen. I must bring this up. You've yet to defeat him. What makes this match different. Jack: Larry Nelson, if at first you don't succeed, try and try and try again. I've Nelson: LOOK OUT! Buzz Sawyer attacks Cactus Jack! Sawyer and Jack just start brawling all over the place. They tumble over the guardrail and fight into the crowd. Prelim wrestlers and security run out and try to stop this madness. Will the Metrodome be big enough for these two??? Commercial Break Mike Graham vs. Vic Dutro Graham once again shows off his wrestling expertise and wins the match with a cradle. Nelson: (holds up a piece of paper) Mike, this is your open contract for WrestleRock and so far nobody has signed to face you. Graham: Doesn't surprise me one bit. Everybody knows they would be embarrassed and humiliated if they wrestled me at WrestleRock. I have to say, I am a tad bit disappointed but then again I really can't blame anyone for not wanting to wrestle me. The fans cheer as RON GARVIN approaches. Garvin: You want an opponent at WrestleRock. I'll wrestle you. Garvin takes the contract and signs it. Garvin walks away as the fans cheer. Nelson: (smiling) How bout it Mike? Graham: Well, it looks like I'm going to have to give that brawler a real wrestling lesson at WrestleRock. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, with me now is the AWA International Champ Terry Taylor. Terry, you decided to keep your WrestleRock opponent a secret. I'm not sure that's such a good idea. Taylor: Well, that's why I'm a champion and you're not. You know, I've heard that people are a little upset that I didn't want my opponent revealed. Everybody wants to know who it is. Let me clue all of you little chickens in on something. It doesn't matter who my opponent is. At WrestleRock, you all are going to see the same result. The Red Rooster getting his hand raised, holding the title high and ending it with a pat on the back. YES! I'm just that good. No wait, I'm just that great! The Red Rooster runs this henhouse and WrestleRock will be a strong reminder. Rooster! Taylor slicks back his ponytail and struts away. Commercial Break Latin Desire vs. The Jive Tones w/Tiger Conway Jr. The fans get a nice 5 minute fast paced match until things get crazy and a pier six brawl happens. Both teams keep fighting as the Ref signals for the double DQ. Commercial Break Nelson: Before we go, I wanted to get in a quick word with the AWA National tag team champs, the Mavericks. Guys, at WrestleRock, you'll be defending your titles in a three way match. You just got another glimpse of your opponents. How are you preparing for this. Embry: We know both teams well and we're finally going to put an end to all this at WrestleRock! The Jive Tones storm out. Conway: You know those titles belong to the Jive Tones and... Latin Desire run out and attack the Jive Tones. Both teams fight into the Mavericks and once again all three teams are going at it as the show ends.

Berzerker's countout wins added so much to his character. It was so unique. King Kevin, that has a great ring to it. I'm glad the Silver King/Genius feud is still going strong Only Heenan could come up with a protest like that. I'm excited for a Bees reign. After separate promos, I'm thinking a Tugboat/Big Cat program could be a fun hoss fight. If Rude says it was an accident, ok, I'll believe him LOL. But will Haku? Badd Co with a big win. I would like to see them go another round with the Bees and this time in championship bouts. That's money. Ranger Ross could get some buzz by feuding with Sheiky baby Earthquake remains a threat Manny takes down Tugboat. Manny could be a fun one off with the Warrior.
-
Even though those sneaky Rougeaus got the win, it was cool getting the WWF legends Andre and Snuka on the card. Elton kicks things off and we're ready to rock! Great idea getting the fans into it early with a Commonwealth win Thanks to the Berzerker, Jake puts Tito down with the DDT Brown delivers some bad news to Billy Jack Kevin advances over Nailz thanks to his vet instincts. Clever finish Duggan puts up a fight but Vader comes on strong at the end WOW! The Bees win the titles! The Bees have worked hard all year and earned this Brown escapes the DDT and puts Jake down with the Ghetto Blaster Vader gets to riled up and it costs him dearly Nice counter by Dino to retain All hail King Kevin! This was a nice surprise and Kevin deserved it. Brown and Nailz have a fight coming. Speaking of fights, I'm sure Rude will have to answer some questions from Haku. Warrior retains to send the Wembley fans home happy after a great night of action. A King is crowned, new tag champs. storylines advanced and Warrior retains. Great job!

Great follow up Well Dunn certainly have their hands full with both the Kongs and Harris Bros coming after them I love seeing the Funks and Armstrongs going at it. Vampire and Kabuki are really getting over. They bring a totally different heel vibe Callis and Hollywood are going to get heat here. Next week's match between Fuller and Titan will be such a fun clash of styles and eras
-
Ahhhhhh classic heel move on El Gigante but at least he gets a crowd popping moment by headbutting Tully. I've always enjoyed entertaining mid card feuds like this. I'm interested in what Crush's future plans are. A TV title feud with Hall could be fun. After that match, hopefully we get another classic US tag title bout. These teams mesh so well with each other Yes, I'm glad the Freebirds are just sticking with the big hair 80s rock look. They went a little overboard with the makeup lol. DDP brings a lot to their look. Damn, very creative finish for the Hall. That definitely solidifies him as champ. I'm sure Jesse loved watching that. Rockers vs Samoans is a great roller coaster match up. Seems like tensions are rising between the Rockers and Road Warriors, adding heat to their inevitable rubber match. Steamboat vs. Muta!!!! Bring it on!!!!!! NO WAY! Luger turns on Sting!!! I liked your subtle seeds with the crowd's reaction towards Luger and Sting. This sets up a mega main event at the Bash. WCW's on fire! Keep up the great work.

AWA Report Friday July 11th and Saturday July 12th The Metrodome, Minneapolis MN Live on pay per view New matches signed Tornado Match The Soul Patrol vs. The Olympians 'The Universal Heartthrob' Austin Idol and The Starrs vs. Bobby Blaze and The Takano Dragons Jumbo Tsuruta/Don Muraco segment Footage is shown of Ray Stevens directing Jumbo Tsuruta to hurt Superstar Graham. Tsuruta commits the unthinkable as he clotheslines Graham down and delivers not one but two powerbombs, sending Graham to the hospital. One week later, Stevens is in an interview when Muraco bursts out and tackles Stevens. Muraco pummels Stevens, swings him into the steel post, slaps him and gives him an inverted piledriver on the concrete which puts Stevens in the hospital. This match has gotten extremely personal and we can only imagine what they're going to do to each other inside the steel cage. Tsuruta has been in Japan training. The Japanese media was attending a Tsuruta exhibition bout. Before the match, a reporter showed Tsuruta footage of what happened to Stevens. Tsuruta was livid. He got into the ring and annihilated his poor opponent. Other wrestlers had to go into the ring and stop Tsuruta from permanently injuring the wrestler. Muraco is standing in front of a WrestleRock banner Muraco: Ray Stevens! Jumbo Tsuruta! You have brought something out of me that I thought was gone forever. When I saw what you did to my brother Billy Graham, the Magnificent One was back in a flash! Ray Stevens! You got a taste of the Magnificent one and I ended you. And now it's your turn Jumbo Tsuruta. At WrestleRock, inside the steel cage, you will feel the wrath of the Magnificent One. OOOOOOHHHHH Tsuruta, I almost feel sorry for you because I will show absolutely no mercy on you! AWA World Title segment AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow announces that there will be extra security at next week's world title press conference. Brenda Britton is standing in her old Beauty Shop set. Britton: Hi everybody. There's only one person special enough to bring the Beauty Shop back for a special appearance. Of course I'm talking about the man who will face Hulk Hogan at WrestleRock for the AWA world title. Here he is, the Nature Boy Ric Flair. Flair appears wearing a suit and sunglasses. He takes off his sunglasses. Flair: Thank you very much Brenda. It's indeed an honor to be in a classy place like the Beauty Shop. You know Brenda, I hear Hulk Hogan is training harder than ever at the gym. Hogan! It's too late for that! You can run but you can't hide. (Flair takes off his suit jacket) Now, if I were you Hogan, I would make plans for next week's press conference on how you're going to explain to all those little kids and all those people in Hollywood on why you've been ducking Ric Flair for years! Think about it Hogan! Now you've got to walk that long and immortal aisle and face Ric Flair, the greatest champion this sport has ever seen. Hogan! I'm waiting! WOOOOO! Hogan finishes up leg presses at the gym Hogan: You know something Ric Flair. Everything you've been saying hasn't made much sense but there's one thing dude that you hit the nail on the head with. I have been training in the gym harder than ever. Oh yea I've toppled the best in the AWA. Terry Gordy, Nikita Koloff, Tatsumi Fujinami and Stan Hansen but I've got a special place in my heart for you Ric Flair. For years I've watched you as a big fish swimming in little ponds and you're the one who's been laying low brother. And that's exactly why you and your two goons tried to take me out in the cage. You knew you needed an advantage. But as you can see your plan failed miserably. At next week's press conference, you'll see that nobody can stop the power of Hulkamania. Then you have to sit there and ask yourself, whatcha gonna do at WrestleRock when Hulk Hogan runs wild on you!!!!!

AWA releases Ray Stevens and Superstar Graham

Very key showcase for Sabu The Peach Patrol is born and have their sights set on two factions I think Bigelow vs Awesome is an important feud for both men. They're both red hot and whoever comes out on top will be catapulted to another level. The Hexagon looking to get their heat back The Hot Rod is back!!! I'm sure Scorpio wants another run with the LHW belt Busick wins the battle of the big men to retain. Portland The Peach Patrol are off to a good start a wounded PCO falls to the Karachi Krunch which is still one of my favorite finisher names Iron and Steel take down the former champs as they look towards the current champs Good move booking the MVC after Iron and Steel. Gave the fans a chance to talk about the future showdown It's always fun watching two former big name and dominant champs going at it. Windham proves he's still a top contender If you want to piss a wrestler off, then interfere with his shot at the title. This is going to give Regal some extra fire Eugene A 2 out of 3 falls tag match going the distance is one hell of a way to kick things off The Peach Patrol gives Hashimoto a nice resurgence The OWC have really established themselves here. Thanks to you, these guys have a bright future in our game Severn sure has a lot in his arsenal Douglas keeps racking up wins The Midnights might hold the Trios titles forever

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 6-13-90 Special guest WrestleRock promoter Don King is on screen "Greetings AWA Fans. The air is buzzing with electricity as the biggest event of the year approaches. I can only be talking about WrestleRock. There you will see a main event of epic proportions as Hulk Hogan defends the AWA world title against Ric Flair. Well, you can't have a main event like that and a promoter like me without having a press conference. That will take place next week in Minneapolis and will be shown live on TV. I will see you there!" Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Ok, there you have it. Next week there will be a special WrestleRock world title press conference. We'll be getting both Hulk Hogan's and Ric Flair's comments on that in the WrestleRock report. We have a lot going on, so lets get to the ring. The Olympians vs. Neil Jordan and Danny Timberland Rheingans executes a backbreaker and tags in Patera. Patera finishes things off with a full nelson slam. Nelson: Ok, you guys heard the challenge made by the Soul Patrol. They want you in a tornado match at WrestleRock. Rheingans: You know normally we wouldn't stoop to levels that low. Olympic champions like us shouldn't lower our wrestling standards in such a barbaric match. However, if this is what it takes to finally shut those clowns up, then so be it. Patera: The Olympians have always been about honor and sportsmanship. Just being in the ring with those patriotic wannabes makes me sick. We're Olympians! Nobody has represented the USA better than us. It's time to restore honor in the tag team division which means ridding these clowns of the AWA. So yea, we accept! Commercial Break The Snowman vs. Todd Rooney Snowman shows off his incredible power. He swings his opponent to the ropes and nails him with a double axehandle for the win. From behind, the Hangman clotheslines Snowman! Hangman stomps down on Snowman. Nell tosses Hangman his noose. Hangman is trying to get the noose around Snowman's neck! Snowman fights it and slowly rises then hits a Jawbreaker on Hangman! Snowman jumps up and pumps his fists. Hangman staggers up as Snowman clotheslines him over the top rope! Nell rushes over to Hangman. Snowman picks up the noose. Snowman goes to the outside and hits Nell from behind. Snowman puts the noose around Nell's neck and starts to choke him. Hangman gets up and tackles Snowman. Security and officials run out as the commercial hits. Commercial Break AWA TV Champ David Sammartino vs. Paul Terretti Sammartino's ear is bandaged but he easily wins the match with a belly to belly suplex. Nelson: David, I see you're still heeling from that horrible fireball act by King Kahlua. You'll be defending that TV title against Kahlua at WrestleRock. Sammartino: I look at this ear every day in the mirror and realize how lucky I am. Kahlua! You wanted my attention, you got it! You wont be so lucky at WrestleRock. I'm not only defending the TV title, but I'm coming for some serious payback! Commercial Break Footage is shown from a few weeks ago as Austin Idol gets disqualified for using the figure four on Bobby Blaze. After the ruling, Idol beats down Blaze and piledrives him down. 'The Universal Heartthrob' Austin Idol vs. Bobby Blaze The bell rings and Blaze is all over Idol. Blaze swings Idol to the corner, hops up on the turnbuckles and punches down on Idol as the fans count along. Hold on! The Starrs hit the ring and attack Blaze. The Ref signals for the DQ. The bell's ringing as the Starrs put the boots to Blaze. Idol joins in and it's 3 on 1. The fans cheer as the Takano Dragons hit the ring and go to town on the 3 men. The fight goes on. Blaze regroups and joins in. It's chaos. Commercial Break Nelson: My goodness, tensions are high tonight. Speaking of tensions, there's been a lot of that in the National tag team scene. At WrestleRock, the Mavericks will defend their titles against both Latin Desire and the Jive Tones in a 3 way match. Joining me now are the former champs, Latin Desire. Al: Everybody knows that we're the rightful owners of the National titles. If it wasn't for those idiot Jive Tones, we would still be champs. Boos as Tiger Conway leads his Jive Tones out. Conway: The only idiots around here are you two suckas. All you guys do is whine and cry like two sissies. You're looking at the next National champs. I'm talking about the Jive Tones turkey! Whatley and Young have words with Al and Lou. Tensions rise and a pushing match ensues, but security is on high alert and runs out to prevent an altercation. It's overheard that these teams want a match against each other next week. Commercial Break 'The British Bomber' Johnny Smith w/Les Thornton vs. Carl Kellerman Every time Smith executes a suplex, Thornton looks into the camera and says "Are you watching Saito?" Smith gets the win with a superplex. Thornton cuts a promo and says Mr. Saito is in for a rude awakening at Wrestlerock. Commercial Break Col. Debeers vs. Michael McGeorge Debeers twirls his mustache throughout the match as he punishes his opponent. Debeers hits the front face piledriver and it's all over. Debeers puts his foot on his opponent's chest and twirls his mustache. The fans go nuts as Carlos Colon runs into the ring and hits Debeers with a baseball bat from behind. Colon swings Debeers to the ropes and hits his gut with the bat. Debeers keels over as Colon hits his back with the bat! Colon holds his bat high as the fans cheer. Officials run in as Colon leaves satisfied. Commercial Break King Kong Bundy w/Greg Gagne vs. David Ramsey Bundy hits the big splash and demands and gets the 5 count. Nelson: Greg, last week El Canek returned to the ring and looked pretty dang good. Many people think you and Bundy have underestimated his will. Gagne: Just shut up Nelson. Man, you're such a nerd. Do we look nervous? NO! Why would we? That masked moron has been a thorn in my side for years and now I have to perfect weapon to finally exterminate that cockroach. Bundy: That's right! At WrestleRock, I'm going to squash Canek like the cockroach he is! Gagne: (laughing) Adios to the masked moron Commercial Break The Renegade Warriors vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez Chris holds Dutro up in a suplex position as Mark comes off the top rope with a flying press for the win. The Warriors cut a promo and say they're looking forward to wrestling a team with the credentials of the Can Am Express at WrestleRock. Commercial Break Ken Resnick is standing in the ring. Resnick: Joining me now are the AWA world tag team champs, the Rock n Roll Express. RnR make their way down the aisle slapping hand and hugging the ladies. They enter the ring. They each hop on a turnbuckle and hold their titles high to the cheering fans. OH NO! The Enforcers hit the ring and nail RnR from behind! They beat down the Express. Zbyszko hits a swinging neckbreaker on Gibson. Arn swings Morton to the ropes and hits the spinebuster. The Enforcers pick up the titles and toss them on the canvas. Zbyszko grabs Gibson by the hair as Arn grabs Morton by the hair. The Enforcers proceed to rub RnR's faces down into the titles. Arn picks up Morton and holds him as Zbyszko blasts Morton's head with the title! Zbyszko holds Gibson as Arn holds up the title and blasts Gibson's head with it! The show ends with the Enforcers holding the titles high.

Cool visual with Lord Alfred on sight to hype up KOTR. I have a feeling something big is happening with Rude soon. Kevin Von Erich advances with a huge win over Kokina. Keep up the good work with the event center promos. I always loved these IRL. WWF mainstays Bruti and Sheiky baby get in some solid showcases. Thanks to a bit of help from Slick, Nailz gets the upset over Andre. Very realistic finish. Damn, the KOTR is stacked with some great match ups.
-
Kicking off the show with Hot Stuff Inc, shows that they're back in a big way Savage vs. Hennig is a feud I can get behind. Just think about the 5 star matches these guys can deliver. I wonder where the Soultaker goes from here. If Jarrett wants a shot at Gilbert, he might need some back up. Doom is lighting up the territory. I can't wait for their showdown with the Steiners The King is on top but like he said, there's a lot of guys gunning for him including Dick Slater Anvil and Hammer could develop into serious tag team contenders. I cant wait for the day when Gaylord gets his hands on Dutch. Are we really seeing the redemption of Tommy Rich??? It's going to be a sizzling summer in the USWA.
-
The intro really sets the tone for a big show. The Colossal Kongs kick things off by brutally squashing the Battens. Adnan plays his part well Bernard King, wow that brings back memories Vampire Warrior gets a good showcase. Having Kabuki with him really elevates his gimmick Gilbert does get the job done with brass knuckles. Now he has the TV title and the power Hollywood gives Callis the edge and I cant imagine what these two have planned Bringing in Dory was brilliant booking. That comes into play as Jimmy Jack gets the win with 2 piledrivers. Great finish Look at that! Well Dunn retains! Honestly, I thought the Harris Brothers were going to mow them down. This really gives Well Dunn serious credibility as fighting champs. I wonder how Ellering will respond. Main Event time! Bullet and Fuller give the fans their money's worth and put on a classic old school southern fight. I loved the match description and it was cool seeing King get in a crowd pleasing moment. Armstrong gets the big win to retain and sends the fans home happy. Awesome job! This was a blast to read. I loved the backstage promos and all the matches meant something.
-
And yet another exciting addition to the LHW division. Scorpio will shine here I love the way you have reenergized careers here. Adams is another perfect example. I just about wrote him off but now he's back with a vengeance. Great job I wonder what is next for PCO Harlem Heat's moving up in the world Who can stop the monster Singh If you're a rookie, go to PCW. Just ask Steve Austin. He's been built up and now he's ready to take it to another level somewhere else. Wow, what was that??? This mysterious woman is doing some mysterious things. Vancouver Two young lions got a feud going Bigelow's now a serious title threat Lee's back to his dominating ways Severn just scored the biggest win of his career. I'm sure Williams wont leave that alone Busick solidifies himself as TV champ Damn! How lucky were those fans to be able to watch two A plus workers go at it for the title. That match was epic and I know Savage will sign a rematch. Kelowna Iron and Steel are ready for the MVC Douglas is moving steadily up the rankings Albright shows he can still get the job done solo Awesome hits the powerbomb and it's game over Patriot evens things up against the OWC. Hopefully these two teams will go at it Another successful title defense for Condrey. What a comeback story.

The Enforcers are standing in front of a WrestleRock banner Zbyszko: You know, the rock n roll express are the true definitions of spudheads. Those two long haired girly men are going to find out real soon what tag team wrestling is all about. It's about time real men held the world tag titles. Anderson: One thing's for sure, a crime will be committed at WrestleRock. Not jaywalking, not petty theft but aggravated assault! Your holding what we want. At Wrestlerock those titles are ours! Footage from Title Night is shown of the vicious attack inside the steel cage. Flair finishes things off with the figure four and Hogan is stretchered out. At Title Night, you made the biggest mistake of your life! As you can see, I'm getting stronger and stronger each day. The power of Hulkamania is more than you can comprehend, but at WrestleRock, you're going to find out what strength, power and determination is all about brother. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 6-6-90 Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Tonight, Ric Flair will be in action as he tunes up for his world title showdown with Hulk Hogan at WrestleRock. The Destruction Crew takes on the Power Twins. Tony St. Clair finally gets a one on one match with the Missing Link. All that and so much more. Ok, joining me now is the AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow. Brenda Britton walks out. Britton: You're excused Nelson. Nelson rolls his eyes and walks away. Britton: Hi everybody! Please welcome out the best C.O.O. in the business, Gerry Morrow. Morrow walks out in his suit and fedora hat. Britton: Gerry, the biggest event of the year, WrestleRock 90 is on the horizon and kudos to you and all your hard work. You're giving the world the most epic main event in wrestling history with Hulk Hogan defending the world title against Ric Flair. It's unbelievable. I understand you're out here to discuss another title match set for WrestleRock. I'm talking about the International title. Morrow: Ahhhhhh thank you for de kind words Brenda. WrestleRock is shaping up to be de grandest event in AWA history. And yes, you are right. I'm here to announce who Terry Taylor will be defending de International title against at WrestleRock. Boos as Terry Taylor struts out. He's wearing a suit, ponytail slicked back and the title on his shoulder. Taylor: Hold up just a second Gerry. Don't make that announcement just yet. As a matter of fact, don't make that announcement at all. Because it doesn't matter who my opponent is. I've proven without a shadow of a doubt that I'm the cock of the walk in the AWA. I've been running this henhouse for months and nobody has come close to taking my title. So do me a favor Gerry. Keep my opponent a secret. I'm just plain bored and this could give me a little excitement. So keep it under wraps, ok. At WrestleRock, the Red Rooster will come out victorious to the surprise of, well, nobody. Man, I feel great! Rooster! Taylor slicks back his ponytail and struts away. Morrow: (smiling) very well. If dat is what Mr. Taylor wants, that is what he will get. His opponent will be a mystery to all of us. Britton: Amazing! You see, everything happens when I'm around. Until next time, tooooodles. Commercial Break The Swords of Light vs. Todd Rooney and Clyde Putnam The Swords are in sync tonight. During the match, Vinnie and Good Vibrations come out to scout their WrestleRock opponents. Konnan hits a sidewalk slam and tags in Gama, who finishes things off with the Boston Crab. Vinnie and Good Vibrations laugh, shake their heads and wave their arms as if to say the Swords wont be a challenge. Commercial Break Mike Graham vs. Harold Bannister Graham puts on a technical display and wins the match with a back stabber followed by a crucifix pin. Nelson: Impressive win Mike. I understand you still have an open contract out for WrestleRock. Graham: Key word being still. You know, I'm not surprised nobody has signed on to wrestle me, because there's no wrestler in the AWA that can beat a true wrestling technician like me. I don't need a flashy moniker or cool looking ring gear. I get the job done in the ring with my sheer wrestling ability. I have a feeling WrestleRock will be a night off for me. And I thought this was the major leagues. What a joke. Commercial Break The Power Twins w/Steve Disalvo vs. The Destruction Crew w/JW Storm After what happened last week, these teams go at it hard and heavy. Both teams show off their tremendous strength and execute a lot of impressive power moves. During the match, Storm and Disalvo yell back and forth. At one point, Storm tries to interfere but Disalvo's on him. They fight into the ring while the match is going on. Chaos ensues as all 6 men start slugging it out. The Ref calls for the double DQ. The bell keeps ringing but they keep fighting. Commercial Break Nelson: My goodness a lot of bad blood there. That's going to be one heck of a 6 man match at WrestleRock. Ok, with me now is the Soul Patrol. I know you guys have something to say to the Olympians. Walker: That's right Larry. The Olympians talk and talk about honor but all they do is cheat. They've beaten us by cheating, but we're not out here crying about that. Jones: Oh no, we're out here for a solution. Since the Olympians love to cheat so much, well hey, we can play that game too. Olympians! We're challenging you to a tornado tag match at WrestleRock! That way you can cheat all you want and so can we. Nelson: Alright, the challenge has been laid down. The Soul Patrol leave Nelson: Now joining me are the reigning AWA national tag team champs, the Mavericks. At WrestleRock, you'll be defending your titles in a 3 way match against Latin Desire and the Jive Tones. The champs are wearing silver jackets with maverick horses on the back. They hold their titles up high as the fans cheer. Young: Both those teams have been thorns in our side for months. It's time to show them why we're the ones holding the titles. Embry: You said it Gary. There's only one way we can solidify our reign and that's to take both teams down at once. And trust me, that's exactly what we're going to do at WrestleRock! Commercial Break Leo Burke vs. Ray Glader Burke looks good tonight and wins the match with the sleeper. Hold on! Jimmy Golden hits the ring with taped fists. Burke turns around as Golden nails him with a punch. Golden follows with a fist drop. Golden grabs Burke's hair and starts hitting his head with his taped fists. Golden stands up and starts swinging his taped fists at the air. Commercial Break 'Mad Dog' Buzz Sawyer vs. William Hillman Sawyer powerslams his way to victory. Nelson: (nervous) Buzz, I'm sure you heard the challenge made by Cactus Jack last week. Falls count anywhere match at WrestleRock. Sawyer: (Screaming) Jack wants to have more fun? (maniacal laugh) That's good for me because at WrestleRock I can beat him up all over the stadium! Yea, that sounds like a lot of fun to me. Sawyer laughs like a lunatic, which creeps Nelson out. Commercial Break Footage from last week is shown as Jumbo Tsuruta gives Superstar Graham 2 powerbombs. Nelson: With me now is Ray Stevens. Ray, that was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. The Superstar might never return to the AWA. I hope you and Tsuruta are proud of yourselves. Stevens: Hey! This is all on Muraco. We told him we weren't playing around anymore but he didn't take us seriously. Right now he's being a beach bum in Hawaii while Jumbo is in Japan doing some serious training. Do you think Muraco got our message? Muraco sprints out and tackles Stevens! Muraco just starts pounding away on Stevens with closed fists. Muraco picks up Stevens by his shirt and swings him into the steel post. Officials come out but Muraco picks up a chair and threatens them. They back off. Muraco hits Stevens back with the chair. Muraco picks up Stevens and slaps him across the face. Muraco hoists Stevens up and executes an inverted piledriver on the concrete! My goodness! Muraco stands up and looks down at Stevens. Security and Medics rush out. Muraco has pure evil in his eyes. It looks like Stevens and Tsuruta have brought back the Magnificent One. Commercial Break El Canek vs. Willie Lopez It takes a bit to get Stevens stretchered out of there. After processing all that, the fans get a treat with the return of El Canek. Canek's ribs seem to be healing fast as he looks tremendous tonight. Canek gorilla slams Lopez down and follows with a body splash for the win. It seems Greg Gagne and King Kong Bundy may have underestimated Canek. Commercial Break King Kahlua vs. Neil Jordan Kahlua hits a snap suplex and follows with an elbow drop from the top rope for the win. Nelson: After that fireball incident last week, David Sammartino says he'll gladly defend the TV title against you at WrestleRock. The sad thing is after that time limit draw at Title Night, you were probably going to get another TV title shot. I mean why did you have to resort to such despicable tactics. You're really luck Sammartino is ok and wasn't seriously burned. Kahlua: I was probably going to get a rematch? Probably doesn't work for me. It's high time the AWA took notice of King Kahlua. I took matters into my own hands and did what had to be done. Sammartino knows he was a broken man at Title Night. That TV title should be mine! At WrestleRock, I'll make sure it's mine! Commercial Break 'Lionheart' Tony St. Clair vs. The Missing Link St. Clair eagerly waits in the ring. After a few minutes, Link doesn't arrive and the Ref has no choice but to declare the match a forfeit. Nelson: Tony, I'm not sure what to make of all this. I mean, the Missing Link has attacked you on TV and at several arenas throughout the territory. For no reason might I add. Tony: It figures he wouldn't show up face to face. That makes him... WHAM! From behind, the Missing Link hits Tony with a headbutt! Link picks up Tony and rams him back first into the steel post. Link hurls Tony into the ring. Link goes to the top rope. Grabs the back of his head and hits Tony with a diving headbutt. Officials once again come out to stop this madness. Commercial Break 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair vs. Vic Dutro Flair struts and Woooos his way through the match. Flair clamps on the figure four and it's all over. Nelson: At WrestleRock, Hulk Hogan will defend the AWA world title against this man, Ric Flair. Ric, you and the Enforcers really did a number on Hogan's leg at Title Night. However, Hogan is rehabbing hard and promises he'll be better than ever at WrestleRock. Flair: Do you really think that matters at all to me? You're looking at the greatest specimen to ever to walk down that aisle. I'm Ric Flair and I'm custom made from head to toe. So, Hogan! Pal! You can do all the training you want. You can eat all the vitamins you want, and you can say all the prayers you want. But none of that will help you! You haven't got a chance Hogan! You're stepping into the ring with the most premier dominate athlete in history. You're not on my level Hogan. The only title missing from my resume is the AWA world title. And WOOOO! How great it will be to walk into WrestleRock and defeat the immortal Hulk Hogan in front of all his little Hulkamaniacs. WOOOOO! I'm coming for you Hogan and like I promised from day one, I'm going to win that AWA world title! WOOOOOOO!

Could this be the start of a Kokina push Poor Valiant. That powerbomb must've looked brutal Fun seeing the Bolshieviks get a push. They could get some good heat winning the US titles I know this is late in his career, but it's always a special moment when Andre wrestles on TV Love the event center promos mixed in. Classic WWF A Nailz squash match is always cool to watch Duggan advances with a win over his rival. HOOOOOO!

Yamada and Fuke kick things off with a pretty damn good match. Both men have bright futures ahead Paulson's slowly but surely rising the ranks. After a scare, Johnson comes back and shows off his freakish power The Soviets are such a cohesive unit. They're on their way for a chance at the tag titles. The Koslowski's earn their way to a shot at the belts. The Koslowski's vs. the Soviets is a dream match that will draw some big money and buzz. Zouev and Kopylov give the fans a Sambo clinic and both get a much deserved applause of respect from the fans. That was an impressive submission sequence by Zouev Props to Suzuki for hanging tough. Han's one of my favorites here and hopefully he's on the road to a title shot. Fujinami scores the fall and no doubt Sayama took notice. This was a brilliant way to set up the inevitable title match showdown. After a great night of action, the main event keeps the fans alive. Maeda and Ogawa get the crowd pleasing win but it looks like some one on one's are in the near future. This show was a lot of fun. I'm excited for the huge July event.

Watch out WCW, because the Varsity Club is back! JJ and Tully are bringing out the brawlers and monsters for battle Clash is really shaping up. Luger and Nikita have been on a collision course. Power and Glory vs. Owen and Bulldog could steal the show. I can't wait until Sting gets in the ring again. Looking forward to seeing how you book 90's Freebirds.

Only a matter of time before Gaylord gets his hands on Dutch Always love seeing two Mid South vets like Budro and Iceman go at it. Gilbert and his entourage defeat Dundee for the Tri State title. By dismantling the Guerreros, the Steiners send a strong message to Doom Hammer and Anvil, that just sounds like they were meant to team up. After that impressive win, we might see more of this team. Savage and Kerry give the fans their money's worth. Savage winning clean here is a big deal. Damn, I thought the Steiners sent a message, but Doom really went overboard here. Orndorff was really built up well for this match. Lawler makes the ultimate comeback, satisfies the fans with a piledriver and prevails. Another fun show at the Coliseum. Great job Kev

Also just signed, JW Storm and the Destruction Crew will face Steve Disalvo and the Power Twins. Here's some WrestleRock promos. Snowman: That Nell thinks he can intimidate me with words. Not a chance. Let's see how tough the Hangman is when I knock his teeth out. My soul belongs to me and so does the Hangman's ass! Vinnie: It appears the Swords of Light have signed to face my good vibrations at Wrestlerock. What's with their name? The Swords of Light? Is that some kind of positivity thing? Well, nothing's more positive than good vibrations and we're going to put a positive beating on them at Wrestlerock. YEA! Randall 'Tex' Cobb: I've been law and order at Wrestlerock before and I get to do it again.
