JJ sure has a lot on his plate with the world title situation and the annoyance of Blanchard. It appears he has solutions for both. Luger vs Muta for the undisputed title is going to rock! Wow! Somebody sure wants Sting out of action and the monsters are lining up to collect but then again, Sting has Robocop watching his back Zenk has some serious contenders with Rotunda and Stud making challenges If Spivey's pissed, Sherri better address this quick. Adam Bomb debuts with a bang The Road Warriors and Rockers will settle things once and for all but both teams should be looking out for Hart's men. Pillman's really become a thorn for the Koloffs No doubt about it, a lot is going to go down at Capitol Combat

I agree, son of the beach is such a good moniker and now we have two. Singh plants another with the Monster Mash Kawada's stepping into solo action and is off to a good start Always entertaining watching two of the toughest go at it Cash pulls off the huge upset and then we get to see Cornette have a huge meltdown Steamboat had one hell of a PCW title reign. Shows how much respect he has for Hart to choose him for his final match. What a way for Rick Martel to debut. Martel's was always one of my favorites and our game has treated him well. Looking forward to his run in PCW. Vancouver Stallion might be coming up short but he's been impressive against some big names Lee keeps bulldozering his way to wins Bigelow is on a roll and is taking down some tough opponents Tenryu is another man that keeps himself in contention The MVC is off to a dominating reign Hart gets the big win and in Steamboat's mind, he went out the way he wanted Kelowna Douglas always did have a good belly to belly suplex I think Savage will have to step in on this feud very soon The PCW youngsters always get their chance to shine. The OWC get their turn to solidify their reign Busick puts his rival Sabu down Barr's recent character has been so interesting which means his reign will be very interesting I agree with AD, I've brought over great gimmicks that others created. You're right, some are just too good to leave dormant.

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 5-2-90 Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Ric Flair will be here tonight to address Austin Idol's Title Night challenge. AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow has decided that Latin Desire will face the Jive Tones for a shot at the National tag titles at Title Night. Tony St. Clair takes on Col. Debeers. Cactus Jack and Leo Burke team up to take on Buzz Sawyer and Jimmy Golden. And the AWA world champion, Hulk Hogan will be here! Ok, let's get to the action. Carlos Colon vs. Neil Jordan Colon gets the win with a diving clothesline from the top rope. Colon talks about his upcoming International title bout with Terry Taylor and says he'll pluck every feather off Taylor's back to win the International title. Commercial Break Winners get a shot at the National tag titles at Title Night Latin Desire vs. The Jive Tones w/Tiger Conway Jr. Former champs Latin Desire are still pissed at the Jive Tones for costing them the titles. As soon as the bell rings, Latin Desire are all over the Jive Tones. After cleaning house, the Ref gets control. Latin Desire are still all over the Jive Tones. They swing Whatley to the ropes and double back drop him. Young charges in and gets double back dropped. Al drops an elbow on Whatley 1..2..Young breaks it. Lou grabs Young and hits a back suplex. Conway hops on the apron with a chair. Al dropkicks the chair into Conway. The chair falls on the apron. Whatley grabs it and is going to hit Al, but Lou snatches it from Whatley and his adrenaline gets the best of him as he blasts Whatley with it. Young charges but gets blasted also. The Ref signals for the DQ. Latin Desire are still pissed and start stomping away on the Jive Tones. The Jive Tones took a beating but get their shot at the titles. Commercial Break 'The Rock' Don Muraco w/Superstar Graham vs. Clinton Stitch Muraco easily wins the match with an inverted piledriver. Nelson: Don, Billy, I'm sure you heard the ominous words from Ray Stevens last week. Graham: It seems old Ray has some serious sour grapes because my main man Donnie keeps getting the best of his man Jumbo Tsuruta. Muraco: Stevens! You love talking the talk brother, but so far you and Tsuruta haven't been able to walk the walk. I'm standing tall in the AWA and I aint going nowhere brother. So bring it on! Commercial Break In a very special WrestleRock Report, we find out that legendary promoter Don King will be a part of WrestleRock. The Soul Patrol vs. Sam Smith and Ray Glader Jones swings Glader to the ropes and hits him in the gut as Walker executes a sunset flip from the top rope for the win. The Soul Patrol cut a fired up promo on the Olympians. They say what the Olympians did to Tom Brandi last week was sickening. They say the Olympians are real good at 2 on 1 and want to see if they have the guts to face a tag team. The challenge is issued. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, please welcome out the Champagne Challenge winner, Ric Flair. Flair walks out dressed in a custom made suit and sunglasses. Nelson: Ric, last week Austin Idol came out and issued a challenge to you at Title Night but he wants you to put your WrestleRock world title shot on the line. Flair takes off his sunglasses and pulls out a piece of paper from his suit pocket. Flair: This right here is a guaranteed contract to wrestle for the AWA world title at WrestleRock. I earned this by winning the Champagne Challenge. And now Austin Idol walks in and challenges me for this. Joan Jett's Do you want to touch me plays as Austin Idol struts out Idol: Oh it's real simple Ricky baby. You're the one who's always saying to be the man you have to be the man. Well, I'm the man but I want to beat you and I want that title shot. I'm the one who deserves it! You've stolen my look and worst of all you've stolen my Las Vegas Leglock. You have no right using my move and it makes me cringe every time I watch you use it. It's embarrassing. Flair: Hold up Idol! Save your breath. You want a shot at this contract? WHOOO you got it! However, I have a demand of my own. You need to put something on the line as well. I'm really glad you brought up the figure four.. Idol: It's the Las Vegas Leglock, get it right! Flair: Call it whatever you want, but if I beat you at Title Night, you are banned from using that move for life! So, Idol, you still want to dance with the Nature Boy? Idol: (pauses) Oh darling, you don't scare me at all. It's on! Flair: Just one more thing Idol. I'm telling you in advance, I'm going to beat you with the figure four and I guarantee it! WHOOOOO! Flair waves the contract at Idol, puts it in his pocket and struts away. Idol: (flustered) That title shot is mine! Flair's going down daddy! Commercial Break 'Lionheart' Tony St. Clair vs. Col. Debeers St. Clair heads down the aisle but wait! he's attacked from behind by The Missing Link! What the hell is going on?? Link rams St. Clair's head into the steel post. St. Clair is bleeding bad. Link picks up St. Clair and headbutts him. Link hurls St. Clair into the ring. Link goes to the top rope and crashes down with diving headbutt on St. Clair's bloody head. Les Thornton walks out. Looks up at the ring, nods and walks away. Commercial Break Swords of Light vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez The Swords are back after participating in PCW's Las Vegas tag team tournament. Konnan hits a sidewalk slam and tags in Gama. Gama clamps on the Boston Crab and it's all over. Commercial Break AWA TV Champ David Sammartino vs. Trent Watkins Sammartino wins the match with a belly to belly suplex. Sammartino cuts a promo and says he's more than ready to defend his TV title against King Kahlua at Title Night. Commercial Break Cactus Jack and Leo Burke vs. 'Mad Dog' Buzz Sawyer and Jimmy 'The Stud' Golden It's a wild one and the Ref can barely keep up. Jack and Sawyer hit, bite, claw, choke and maul each other. Burke and Golden have some intense and hard hitting punch exchanges. A pier six brawl breaks out. Burke and Golden fight to the outside. Burke punches Golden down. Burke starts to go back into the ring, but Golden grabs a trashcan and nails Burke with it. Golden starts hitting Burke with the trashcan. The Ref is distracted by this. Sawyer pulls out a foreign object and hits Jack in the throat with it. Sawyer quicky grabs Jack and powerslams him over. The Ref runs over and counts 1..2..3! Sawyer and Golden exit. Burke is still down. Cactus sits up and grabs his throat but still manages a smile. Commercial Break Nelson: Please welcome out the AWA world champion, the Immortal Hulk Hogan! Eye of the Tiger blasts and the fans erupt. Hogan storms up the aisle and into the ring. Nelson: Hulk, you and Stan Hansen will finally resolve your issues inside a steel cage at Title Night. I'm sure you heard his comments last week. Hogan: Well let me tell you something Lethal Larry. For the past 3 months, Stan Hansen has given me his best shots brother. And it's come down to us fighting in a cage. Hansen has made the big mistake of underestimating the power of Hulkamania. Oh yea brother, we're going to fight it out like caged animals but make no mistake about it Hansen, you're the hunted brother. We're going into that cage but I'm the one who'll be standing and walking out of there with this world title. So, Stan Hansen, whatcha gonna do when Hulk Hogan, the Hulkamaniacs and the power of Hulkamania run wild on you!!!! Hogan rips off his T-Shirt and poses.

Cat-atonic. I've said it before, you have the best finisher names. I really think you have something going here with Slick and Big Cat Great heat for the Rougeaus by bringing out Canadian belts. Very creative. Bees and Badd Co. in a 2 out of 3 falls match. Bring it on! Beefcake is red hot right now but Heenan lays a serious threat down. New IC champ Bravo gets a chance to shine. Wow, Dustin must have been pretty fired up if Dusty had to calm him down. This brings even more serious intensity to the feud. Cool seeing the Doctor of Desire making his mark in the WWF Vader powerbombs both Bushwhackers proving he's a threat to everybody. The WWF has been so entertaining to read.

Philly, I'm sure the patriotic Ross had the fans on his side when he took down Sheiky. Valiant and Albano are quite the visual together The feud with the Rhodes and Duggan vs. the Outlaws is going to get bloody Rude's been racking up wins. I wonder if we're going to get a Tito/Berzerker program. Big title defense for the Commonwealth It took a lot, but Warrior takes down Earthquake and looked like a strong champion. Boston, That sneaky Genius literally pulls one over on Silver King The Barber is back and advances over the Ace Nailz looks like a monster and thanks to Kev and Jake's draw, he gets a ticket to the finals Nice payback for Silver King as he helps Bruti advance. A Poffo/Silver King feud could be a lot of fun. Beefcake's return is solidified with the tournament win. Big moment for the Barber Thanks to Heenan and Haku, the POP finishes off Demolition.

Loved all the title storylines. Z-Man pinning Martel at the last second was a great TV moment. It looks like a lot of wrestlers are already lining up for a shot. The JJ/Tully story is getting really interesting. What does JJ have in mind? JYD doesn't seem all that motivated lately. Damn, OMG and Abby as a tag team. Better bring in extra security I have a feeling they'll be coming out from all over to collect the bounty on Sting Jesse's really putting over the Stud. Could gold be in his future? Fun show in Japan. A lot of controversy going on with the world title. Who's the champ? Muta or Luger? I'll be tuning in next week to find out Capitol Combat is shaping up nicely. I can't wait to see what you have planned with Robocop

Vegas Vengeance! Let's do this! 6 man action is always a great way to start a huge show. Money Train gets the fans fired up. I agree, Iron and Steel have the momentum. Sarge is victorious but the Italian Stallion has made a name for himself. Thrillseekers advance with another thrilling win Coast to Coast are definitely in sync The Monster Mash is such an awesome name for a finisher. Bigelow finally gets that big win over Tenryu. This moves Bigelow more than just a notch. WOW! Coast to Coast pull off the huge heel moment and manage to find a loophole with Savage. OWC take advantage and the titles now belong to them. If our game had year end awards, Condrey would be my vote for comeback wrestler of the year. I can't imagine what Savage will come up with to end the Austin/Awesome feud. Barr worked his way up the hard way and earned that title victory. Props to Azul on an amazing run. Night 2! FOJ kicks off the 2nd night with a beautiful win over the Midnights. Man, I love these guys PCO gets ruthless and defeats Adams with authority. This feud might have been under the radar but after that match, people will be talking about it for a long time. It's a DQ but no matter because my guys Iron and Steel are in the finals. I love it. The badass faces vs. the biggest heels in the finals. Piper and Hart get a nice high profile win. That may have been Busick's best spinebuster ever! Rose proves that he's still as cunning as ever After paying his dues, Blackman wins the title that he was born to defend. Scotty's been one of my favorite PCW guys. I'm glad his reign continues. Just like that the MVC are the tag champs. I think we're in for a dominating reign. The finals! What a crowd pleasing finale as Iron and Steel piledrive their way to victory! Iron and Steel have been on an amazing run and deserved this. Oh damn, could we actually see Iron and Steel go after the MVC's titles. Wow, talk about a money making feud. After 2 nights of incredible action, Steamboat and Dibiase deliver an absolute classic. Dibiase uses all his means necessary and puts an end to Steamboat's successful run. No doubt about it, the Terror now rules PCW. I enjoyed this event from top to bottom. Great job!

Shunji nails Ron with a big boot to the head and tags in George. George jumps off the top turnbuckle and hits Ron with a splash 1..2..Chicky breaks it. Shunji runs back in and punches away on Chicky as the bell rings, signaling a time limit draw. Chicky helps Ron out of the ring. After a couple minutes the Dragons exit. As the Dragons walk towards the aisle, the Starrs jump them from behind! They swing Shunji into the steel post, then double suplex George on the concrete! The fans boo, but the Starrs seem very pleased with themselves. Commercial Break AWA International Champ 'The Red Rooster' Terry Taylor vs. Neil Jordan Taylor's arrogance annoys the fans but he takes care of business and wins the match with the flying 5 arm Nelson: Terry, at Title Night, you'll be defending your title against the Champagne Challenge runner up, Carlos Colon. Taylor: First off, I want you to refer to me as the Red Rooster. After all, I'm the one who rules this henhouse. Ok, Carlos Colon? Really? I mean, I guess he's barely qualified but he's nowhere near the Rooster's level. Listen up Carlos. I've proven over and over again that I'm the cock of the walk and at Title Night I'm going to show you why I'm the champ and your the challenger. Man, I feel good! Taylor slicks back his ponytail, kisses his title and struts away while Nelson rolls his eyes. Commercial Break An ad for WrestleRock 90 is shown. July 11th and 12th, live on pay per view, 2 nights in the Metrodome with AC/DC in concert both nights. For the Last Time. Blaze goes to the top rope and comes down with a knee drop but Kahlua moves. Kahlua regroups and stomps away on Blaze. Kahlua picks up Blaze and hits a backbreaker 1..2..Kick Out. Kahlua swings Blaze to the ropes and puts him down with a back elbow smash. Kahlua goes to the top rope and spends to much time arguing with the fans. Blaze hops up, runs over and slams Kahlua off the top rope. Blaze fires up. He swings Kahlua to the ropes and back drops him. Kahlua staggers up as Blaze dropkicks him down. Blaze picks up Kahlua and hits a snap suplex. Blaze hops on the middle ropes and crashes down with an elbow drop 1..2..Kahlua gets his foot on the ropes. Blaze reaches down, but Kahlua gives him a lowblow. Kahlua picks up Blaze and hot shots him on the top rope 1..2..3! Kahlua ends the feud on a controversial note but gets his TV title shot. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, with me is the Lionheart, Tony St. Clair. Tony, now that your business with Les Thronton and Johnny Smith is over, you finally get your match with Col. Debeers next week. Debeers has been MIA but I know you have words for him. Tony: I told Debeers he was next and his time has come. It's you and I next week Debeers. You better be here, because I will be waiting! Commercial Break King Kong Bundy w/Greg Gagne vs. 'Thrilling' Tom Brandi The bell rings and Bundy charges but Brandi moves. Bundy turns around as Brandi dropkicks him. Bundy staggers. Brandi dropkicks him again. Bundy staggers but doesn't go down. Brandi swings off the ropes but Gagne grabs his boot. Brandi kicks Gagne away. Brandi turns around as Bundy clotheslines him over the top rope. The OLYMPIANS come out. Bundy distracts the Ref as the Olympians double slam Brandi on the concrete, then hurl him back into the ring. Bundy swings off the ropes and hits a BIG splash 1..2..3! Gagne gets in the ring and says something to Bundy. Bundy smiles and hits another BIG splash! Bundy nods and lifts up one finger. Bundy swings off the ropes and hits a 3rd BIG splash! The fans go wild as EL CANEK runs in the ring and pounds away on Bundy! Gagne tries to interfere but Canek hurls him out of the ring. Bundy rolls out of the ring. Canek follows and continues hitting Bundy up the aisle. The Olympians were staying clear. They enter the ring and laugh at Brandi. They pick the lifeless Brandi up and give him a rib breaker. Officials and Medics run in to help Brandi. The Olympians shake hands and exit. Commercial Break 'The Universal Heartthrob' Austin Idol vs. Trent Watkins Idol gives the booing fans some flexes as he works Watkins over. Idol executes a shin breaker, the clamps on the Las Vegas Leglock and it's all over. Nelson: Austin, you made quite the return last week by interrupting Ric Flair. Idol: Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Darling please. Austin Idol, the toast of the coast and the man with the most is back in the AWA baby! I'm the one who ran Bob Armstrong outta here! And now I'm going to run that Idol impersonator Ric Flair outta here. You see, I've been thinking. If there's one wrestler who goes hand in hand with WrestleRock, it's the Universal Heartthrob! Not that knock off Ric Flair and not that geek Hulk Hogan. So here's the deal. I'm challenging Ric Flair to a match at Title Night. What I want is his world title shot at WrestleRock. The question is, is Ric Flair man enough to put it on the line? Come on Flair, do you have the guts? Are you really the man you say you are? Then prove it! Commercial Break Winners get an AWA world tag title shot at Title Night The Power Twins vs. Good Vibrations w/The Vin Man These teams have been going back and forth for months and now the stakes are high. The Power Twins take turns pinballing Jammer and Beach all over the ring. Vinnie's throwing a tantrum while his boys are getting tossed like ragdolls. Things take a turn when Vinnie hops on the apron and distracts Dave. This allows Beach to send Dave through the ropes with a high knee. Jammer slams Dave's head on the apron and hurls him back in the ring. Beach works over Dave and tags in Jammer. They swing Dave to the ropes but miss a double clothesline, Dave swings back and clotheslines both men down. Dave tags in Larry and Larry cleans house. Larry hoists Jammer up for a suplex but Vinnie reaches in and trips Larry. Jammer falls on top 1..2..Dave breaks it. Beach runs in and we've got a pier six brawl. The Ref is tied up with Dave and Beach. Larry presses Jammer over his head, but Vinnie runs in and kicks Larry's knee. Jammer falls on top as the Ref turns around and counts 1..2..3!!! Vinnie does a Superbowl celebration. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, next week the AWA world champ Hulk Hogan will be here! On that note, at Champagne Slam, we witnessed one heck of a hard hitting world title match between Hulk Hogan and Stan Hansen. On Friday, May 16th at the Title Night in St. Paul, Hulk Hogan will defend the world title inside a steel cage against this man, Stan Hansen. Hansen barges down the aisle, swinging his cowbell and threatening the fans. Hansen enters the ring and pushes Nelson down. Nelson quickly rolls out of the ring and falls to the outside. Hansen picks up the mic. Hansen: Hulk Hogan! I beat you within an inch of your life at Champagne Slam and now I get to do it inside a steel cage! Hogan! I'm going to make you bleed boy! I'm going to put bruises all over your body and I'm going to grind your ugly face into the cage! You've got nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. You can't take the coward's way out to save your title! The power of Hulkamania wont be able to save you this time. You've got no chance in hell Hogan! I'm taking that world title and there aint a damn thing you can do about it! Hansen flashes the bullhorn sign and swings his cowbell as the show ends.

AWA releases Ted Petty and Ray Apollo AWA picks up Missing Link, Snowman, and Mike Graham

Great job making Earthquake look like a monster heading into his match with Warrior. Looks like the Texas Outlaws still have unfinished business Wont be long before the Fantastics get a title shot Love those first round match ups. Kevin gets another shot at Jake. I have a feeling Snuka and Nailz will be insane. Brutus and Orton are evenly matched. Silver King and Poffo will be an exciting and fast paced match. Good stuff. I cant wait for the Demolition/POP cage finale. When Bad News tells you to back off, you better back off. Vader's in full beast mode. Rude's working his way back into title contention.
-
With Slick's promos and Big Cat just looking bad and cool, you're onto something here Damn, that Berzerker finish was one hell of a visual. Warrior vs. Nailz is a classic WWF house show feud. You built Nailz up as a serious threat and that win kicks off Warrior's reign with a bang. With a strong win at Mania, it made total sense that the American Eagles would get some title shots. Nice continuity. A Bad News/Vader feud could be a huge money maker. Rude gets his heat back and I'm sure will want a rematch for the title. Solid house shows.

The USWA era has begun! Loved the Lawler locker room promo. He's always welcomed back to defend his title in the AWA I always liked the Southern Boys and they've been treated well in our world Savage, Slater, Orndorff, Landell, Hennig. You'll definitely have no problem booking Lawler for months. Doom vs. The Steiners! Bring it on! Hmmmmmm, could seeds be planted for a HTM face turn??? With all the big stories going on, its fun seeing the side stories like Dutch and Gaylord. Freebirds are still walking down Badstreet No doubt about it, you had to have a chaotic ending on the USWA debut show. Very entertaining show
-
I always loved a good bounty angle. This will elevate Sting to an even higher level and keeps his story fresh with a variety of characters to face. Sherri's tearing it here and is a crucial part of getting the Skyscrapers and Zeus over Tully and JJ has been such an entertaining story Love the quick descriptions of the squash matches along with straight to the point promos. Very well paced shows. The Omni show was a lot of fun Yep, the Rockers are tearing it up Zenk, Owen and Bulldog continue to gel well together I'm looking forward to more chaos with the Nasty Boys and Skyscrapers RW's, Rockers and P&G could turn into a fun 3 way feud. My favorite version of Rotundo was his Varsity Club days. Seeing him with Sullivan got a pop from me That was one hell of a tag match! DAMN! Garvin and Martel tore the house down! Garvin doesn't get the title but man he left his mark in WCW with that win.
-
Blackman's definitely tuned up for Malenko Barr's coming on strong Severn's been mowing over competition lately I agree with AD, the terror could soon be holding all the gold in PCW The FOJ have been one of my favorite tag teams in the game The Italian Stallion vs. Sgt Slaughter. That match sells No matter what, Rose still knows how to get a win. PR is tuning up the right way for Williams and Gordy Cow Palace, Yea, Rose is getting his money's worth with Lee The Bigelow/Tenryu feud is rock'n PCW WOW! It took 3 piledrivers to get Barr down but damn he got Piper's respect. Hart ekes out a bloody win over Gordy Steamboat retains but Williams really soften him up for the man of means. Fresno, Adam's superkick still has a sting Iron and Steel are ready to win the tournament Sabu's stock is rising fast Oh yes, I'm sure Dibiase is pleased with the OWC. Nothing like a chaotic 6 man tag Azul takes advantage of a wild miss and once again retains.

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 4-18-90 Highlights from Champagne Slam are shown. Ric Flair and Carlos Colon winning their battle royals. RnR retaining the world tag titles against the Destruction Crew. Chaos as the Jive Tones accidently cost Latin Desire the National tag titles to the Mavericks. Jerry Lawler winning the USWA title, then attacked by Anderson and Zbyszko. Hulk Hogan and Stan Hansen battling to a double c.o. in the world title bout. Ric Flair defeats Carlos Colon to win the Champagne Challenge. Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Champagne Slam is in the books and we're officially in the road to WrestleRock 90. Before we get to WrestleRock, the next Title Night will take place on May 16th in St. Paul. AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow announced that Hulk Hogan will defend the AWA world title in a rematch with Stan Hansen, inside the steel cage. Also, that night, Terry Taylor will defend the International title against Champagne Challenge runner up, Carlos Colon. As for tonight, Champagne Challenge winner Ric Flair will make his AWA TV debut. So much going on, so let's go to ring. The Renegade Warriors vs. The Commission Two weeks ago, the Warriors got the best of the Commission. Col. Debeers demanded his men get a rematch and win. The Commission start off strong and take it to the Warriors. They swing Chris to the ropes and a double clothesline puts him down. DeKlerk drops a knee 1..2..Kick Out. Deklerk tags in Krueger. They double slam Chris and Krueger covers 1..2..Kick Out. Chris eventually makes the hot tag and Mark cleans house. Mark snap suplexes Krueger and covers 1..2..Deklerk breaks it. Chris runs in and clotheslines Deklerk over the top rope. Mark goes to the top rope. Chris chops Krueger across the chest as Mark comes down from the top rope with a chop on Krueger's head 1..2..3! This wont sit well with Debeers. Commercial Break The Hangman w/Nell vs. Carl Kellerman Hangman demolishes his opponent and wins the match with the Hangman's neckbreaker. Nelson: (nervously) Nell, at Champagne Slam, Brutus Beefcake was stretchered out of the arena, thanks to the Hangman. Nell: (in his slow southern drawl) Larry Nelson, I told you that we're here in the AWA to get rid of all the poor and lost degenerate souls. Brutus Beefcake was a tortured soul and the Hangman put him out of his misery. And now we will be choosing our next soul to take. One by one, they will all fall at the hands of the Hangman. The Hangman wiggles his noose in front of Larry and Larry gets out of there quick. Commercial Break The Enforcers (Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko) vs. Sam Smith and Neil Jordan Zbyszko tags Smith with a mule kick as Arn follows with a DDT for the win. Nelson: I don't know where to begin. The two of you ruined a special moment for the newly crowned USWA champ Jerry Lawler at Champagne Slam. What's your deal with Lawler and why are you here in the AWA? Zbyszko: I have to say Nelson, I didn't miss you at all. The Enforcers have a long term plan that's none of your business. Jerry Lawler's time will come, but right now we have other things on our mind. Arn: I'll get right to the point. The Enforcers want the AWA world tag team titles, which means we've got a target on the Rock n Roll Express! When we win those titles, phase one will be complete. Ricky, Robert, we're coming after you and coming hard! Commercial Break Bobby Blaze vs. 'The British Bomber' Johnny Smith w/Les Thronton Blaze flusters Smith with hip tosses and take overs. Smith comes back with some stiff forearm blasts. Blaze retakes control and scoop slams Smith then follows with a jumping elbow drop 1..2..Kick Out. Smith turns things around and puts Blaze down with a back elbow smash. King Kahlua comes to ringside. Thornton glances at him. Blaze makes a comeback and has Smith in trouble. Blaze swings off the ropes but Kahlua trips him. Blaze gets up and goes towards the ropes to confront Kahlua. Smith staggers up and nails Blaze with a running knee from behind. Smith hoists Blaze on the turnbuckles and delivers a Superplex 1..2..3! Thornton runs in and raises his man's arm in victory. Commercial Break AWA National Tag Team Champs The Mavericks vs. Jay Morris and Bob Martin Young hits a delayed suplex on Martin, then tags in Embry. Embry finishes things off with a running bulldog. The fans cheer as the Mavericks hold up their newly won National tag titles. Nelson: Congratulations Mavericks on winning the National tag titles. Tiger Conway leads the Jive Tones out. Conway: Hold on just one minute! You two fools wouldn't even be champs if it wasn't for the Jive Tones. So the way I figure it, is you all owe us! Latin Desire run out and attack the Jive Tones! They fight into the Mavericks. Now all 3 teams are fighting! They hammer away on each other into the commercial break. Commercial Break Jumbo Tsuruta w/Ray Stevens vs. Trent Watkins Jumbo is hard hitting tonight and wins the match with a devastating powerbomb! Nelson: Ray at Champagne Slam.. Stevens snatches the mic Stevens: No more games! Muraco! You're history! We're going to show you how serious we are real soon! Stevens throws the mic as he leads Jumbo out. Commercial Break Leo Burke vs. Jimmy 'The Stud' Golden This one on one has been brewing for a long time. The bell rings and these guys just pound away on each other. The Ref tries to break it up but both men hit the Ref. When the Ref comes to his senses, he signals for the double DQ. The bell's ringing but Leo and Jimmy keep pounding away on each other. I came to the AWA with one goal in mind and that's to win the AWA world title! Hulk Hogan! I said I was coming for you. If Stan Hansen takes you out, then I'll take the title from him. It doesn't matter because you all are looking at the greatest wrestler walking the earth. Joan Jett's do you want to touch me blasts over the speakers. Out walks Austin Idol. Idol looks around and flexes. Idol walks over to Flair and takes off his sunglasses. Idol: Oh darling, Austin Idol has returned. That's right, the man who ran Bob Armstrong out of town is back in the AWA! Now, I see that a lot's changed here. (looking at Flair) It seems you've become a big deal here darling. I guess that makes sense since you're blatantly ripping me off. I mean, look at you. You're nothing but a cheap imitation of me. Worst of all, you're stealing my move, the Las Vegas leglock. That doesn't fly with me Jack. So, before you start talking about a world title shot, you and I have business brother. Flair: (smirks) You're calling me an imitation of you? For the last 5 years, I've been winning world titles all over the globe. The name Ric Flair has been at the top of every promotion around. Where have you been Idol? It's real simple, if you want to dance with the Nature Boy, I'm right here in the AWA pal. WHOOOOO! The fans cheer as Flair struts away.

The WWF is going full throttle! Big cards in Philly and Boston, plus SNME and KOTR! Exciting times. It's great seeing Beefcake back home. And we get him in full Barber gimmick. Nice touch having Dusty put over Dustin's finisher. Warrior's reign is kicking off with a bang. Earthquake has some strong words for him. I always thought Berzerker's finisher was so creative and different. Silver King picks up his biggest WWF win. Samoans get a shot at the Commonwealth. That'll be a big banger of a match. Billy Jack rebounds well with a strong win over the Sheik. Satisfying win for Hacksaw. HOOOOOOO!

Oh man, Luger and Pillman are on the brink. I wonder if Sting can play peacemaker. I think we're heading for a Skyscrapers/Nasty Boys showdown. Ok, looks like Muta and Chono are working together. I'm sure Rotunda will find his way With Abby on the loose, Sting better be on high alert Nice win for Z-Man. Perhaps a TV title shot in the future.

Huge announcement with Warrior defending against Earthquake. Then we hear Warrior will defend against Haku. King of the Ring is the perfect setting for that. No doubt about it, Warrior has a lot of contenders lining up. Looking forward to the Rhodes working together. This is a good time in Dusty's career to tag up with his son. I'm hoping Silver King gets a push. I always thought he was pretty cool. Damn, the Berzerker will make an awesome gatekeeper for the Heenan Family. POP vs. Demolition inside the cage! Bring it on! Hase's been racking up some wins. Prichard and Orton are two guys that can deliver. Fun TV main event. Great follow up to Mania. I like the direction the WWF is going.

The image of Kokina's Samoan drop was perfect for the Free for All and might've got some last minute buys. Goulet kicks things off and the Canadian crowd is ready. Props to the American Eagles and Russians for getting this flag match way over with a neutral crowd. Huge win for Vader. This really gets him over in a big way. KVE vs. Jake just works. The DDT on Kevin solidifies Roberts as a serious and dangerous heel. Loved the rules in the Prison Yard Match. It takes a lot of help from Mr. Hughes to get Bossman in the cage, but Nailz comes out on top. This was an awesome feud. The Commonwealth end the Rougeaus reign on their home turf. Talk about poetic justice. Damn! I thought Vader looked like a monster, but Quake looked devastating. 3 splashes on Andre. WOW! He's now the true Giant in the WWF. The Bees and Badd Co. deserved this spot after tearing it up on the loop. Badd Co. gets the win on the big stage. Snuka came to fight but Haku really came on strong at the end. Long live the King. Duggan and Manny give the Canadian fans a true southern brawl. Duggan gets his payback. HOOOOOOO! We get a big surprise as the Viking helps POP retain. That triple powerbomb through the table was quite the spectacle. I was really anticipating the big IC title bout. It was built up so well. Of course, Tito and Bravo delivered. Tito had one heck of a run, now it's Bravo's turn. Dusty closes out a chapter with Funk. The big story is Dustin saving the day. Looks like another chapter will be written. After an incredible night of action, we get the world title bout. Heenan and Rude take advantage of Buster's inexperience but in the end, Buster sets things straight which leads to a Warrior onslaught and winning the title. Lowblow is right. Warrior now has a list of top contenders to work with. The way it should have been IRL. Great job! The matches delivered and we now have new stories to look forward to.

Fuke made sure Yamada wasn't getting out of that submission hold Taira and Kakihara take it to the limit Sano gets that vital win he was looking for Shamrock is devastating with his suplexes Onita gets the win and Ogawa is pissed Malenko gives Tatsumi a real test, but Tatsumi passes Maeda's back on the winning track after defeating a game Kopylov Fujiwara edges pass Han That was one hell of a main event. Sayama retains with under a minute left. Just as important, he earns Backlund's respect. Excellent write ups and match descriptions. Great job!
