Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Tonight, David Sammartino defends the TV title against Austin Idol. JW Storm takes on Gary Young. Texas Red faces his toughest test to date in the AWA as he goes up against Chicky Starr. Also, we will show you some disturbing footage which will be followed by an appearance from the AWA world tag team champs, the Enforcers. More on that later. Ok, let's get to the ring. The Power Twins vs. Neil Jordan and Frank Leone The Power Twins pinball their opponents all over the ring during the match. The finish sees Dave hold up Jordan in an overhead backbreaker position as Larry comes off the top rope with a forearm blast to the chest for the win. Commercial Break 'The Future' JW Storm vs. 'The Maverick' Gary Young Young still seems distraught and unfocused. Storm on the other hand looks intense and extremely focused. Storm puts his strength to work and rocks Young with several power moves. Young gets in spirts of offense but tonight belongs to Storm. Storm swings Young to the ropes and puts him down with a lunging clothesline for the win. Nelson: Fans, joining me now are JW Storm and the Destruction Crew. Big win for you JW. Also, it's been announced that the Destruction Crew are the number one contenders to the National tag team titles. Storm: I told all of you that this right here is the future of the AWA. You saw what I'm capable of and just wait until my buddies get a hold of Latin Desire. Enos: Latin Desire! Bloom: Hang on Mike, I'll take this one. Latin Desire, you guys think you're pretty slick don't you? Well, when we get in the ring with you, we're not only going to mess up your pretty faces but we're going to take those National titles from you! Commercial Break Cactus Jack vs. Todd Rooney Jack's a maniac and wins the match with a double arm DDT! Nelson: Cactus, your war with Buzz Sawyer ended but it appears you're now in a battle with Jimmy Golden. Jack: You appear to be right Larry Nelson! Jimmy Golden, you started something and now I'm going to have to finish it! Trust me when I say this, you are the prey and I am the predator! Bang! Bang! Commercial Break 'Thrilling' Tom Brandi vs. Arnie Goldstein Brandi's pumped up tonight and wins the match with a flying press from the top rope! Nelson: Ok, Tom Brandi, you're the man who sent Ken Patera packing. I'm sure that was very satisfying for you. Brandi: I would be lying if I said it wasn't Larry. That man put me out of action for months, so yea it was nice to get some payback and get rid of him for good. Boos as the Vin Man walks out with Tommy Jammer. Nelson: Come on Vinnie, this is Tom Brandi's time Vin: Relax Larbo, I'm just here to clear things up. Everybody is saying Tom Brandi is the hot sensation in the AWA but I have to laugh at that. My man Tommy Jammer is what's happening. Brandi, you think you're special because you sent an over the hill strongman packing. That doesn't impress us one bit. I mean, let's see what you can do against a man in his absolute prime, like Tommy Jammer. Brandi: Vinnie! If your stooge wants a match with me, then bring it on! As a matter of fact, we can do this right now! The fans go wild as Brandi gets into the ring. Jammer walks towards the ring but Vinnie holds him back and escorts him up the aisle as the fans boo. Commercial Break Texas Red vs. Chicky Starr Starr attacks at the bell and pounds away on Red. Starr swings Red to the ropes but Red reverses it and whips Starr into the corner. Red hoists Starr up and executes a hanging vertical suplex. Red angrily stomps down on Starr. Red swings Starr to the ropes and nearly takes his head off with a leaping clothesline. Red picks up Starr by his hair and nails him with the Heart Punch! 1..2..3! Red calmly walks out of the ring, looks into the camera and says "Nell, Hangman, I'm waiting" After being attended to by Medics, Starr is stretchered out. Commercial Break Nelson: My goodness! Texas Red is on a rampage. I'm not so sure Nell and the Hangman want anything to do with him. Switching gears, I want to show you footage of something that went down at the Allen County Coliseum a few days ago. Footage is shown of the Soul Patrol celebrating a win. From behind, Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko (wearing street clothes) attack them. They proceed to give the Soul Patrol a brutal beating. They hurl the Soul Patrol out of the ring. On the outside, Zbyszko whacks Walker with a chair and follows with a swinging neckbreaker on the concrete! Arn hoists Jones up and gives him a brainbuster on the concrete! Security rushes out. Nelson: Right now, I'm going to talk with the AWA world tag champs, the Enforcers. Boos as the Enforcers arrogantly walk out. Nelson: Next week, you're scheduled to be here with the AWA world champ Ric Flair and the figurehead Tully Blanchard, but after that disgusting incident, I had to talk with you two today. The Soul Patrol worked hard to get their upcoming title shot in Mexico but you two robbed them of that opportunity. They'll be out of action for a while. Just why in the hell would you do that? Zbyszko: Let me keep it simple for you and all these spudheads. Last week, the Soul Patrol came out here and ran their mouths. Well, talk is cheap and we proved those two clowns just don't have what it takes to be in the same ring as the Horsemen. Arn: The fact of the matter is this, we came out here and put the AWA on notice. We had to send a message of what the Horsemen are all about. We gave them a beating they'll never forget and I bet now people will think twice about getting in the ring with us. Nelson: Well, just so you know, in Mexico you will still be defending your titles. You'll be defending them against the Swords of Light. Zbyszko: Oh please. really? That's the best the AWA could come up with. Arn: The Swords of Light are out of their league and just like the Soul Patrol, they don't have what it takes! Zbyszko: (flicks Nelson's tie) See you next week Nelson Commercial Break The Takano Dragons vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez Shunji executes a superplex on Lopez as George follows with a frog splash for the easy win. Nelson: As you just saw, the tag team division in the AWA is beyond competitive. Fans, just a reminder, on September 1st the AWA will be at the Arena Coliseo in Mexico City for a tremendous event. Ric Flair will defend the AWA world title against El Canek. You just heard the Enforcers will defend the AWA world tag titles against the Swords of Light. Stan Hansen will defend the AWA International title against Col Debeers. More matches will be announced. Ok, our big TV title main event when we come back. 2. Damn! SummerSlam is stacked! All the matches have a good build. Can't wait!
  3. Ace and Windham, I can see that working out Skinner debuts. Big Josh could be a fun feud for him. Just something about a lumberjack and Alligator hunter going at it seems appealing Crush better get some back up if he wants payback Luger's got some muscle backing him up We'll see if Bomb can give Sid a true test. The inevitable stare down will be quite the visual The Rockers vs. Owen and Davey will be a show stealer The tag teams better take Long's threat seriously Pillman puts his name out there for Hennig. I'm all for that match up Hall and Steamboat will be very interesting. Both men have been on a hot streak Sting and Nikita! One more time! Man, Hennig is really confident Birds and Nasties keep the heat going on their wild feud

The opening minutes is all Brandi as he has Patera flying all over the ring. Rheingans tries to get involved but Brandi dropkicks him off the apron. They do a lot of showboating during the match but take care of business when Prichard puts Glader down with a superkick and Landel follows with a corkscrew elbow drop for the win. Resnick: Well, you two made a surprise appearance at WrestleRock and have been impressive ever since. Prichard: Impressive is exactly the way to describe us Resnick. Landel: We've got the looks, the hair, the talent and soon we'll be holding championship gold. The Heavenly bodies stroke their hair and wave it around before exiting. Commercial Break El Canek vs. Neil Jordan Canek looks great tonight. He executes a superplex then swings off the ropes and hits a body splash for the win. It's announced that Canek will get an AWA world title shot in Mexico on September 1st in Mexico. Commercial Break Mr. Saito vs. Mike Graham We get an intense technical bout between these two ring vets. Say what you want about Graham but he can wrestle. He executes several take downs on Saito and puts his wrestling skills to work. Saito comes back with palm strikes and a gut wrench suplex but can't put Graham away. Graham comes back with a drop toe hold and turns that into a spinning toe hold but Saito is able to grab the ropes. Saito regains the momentum with a nasty throat thrust. Graham staggers around as Saito grabs him and hits the Saito suplex 1..2..3! Commercial Break Resnick: Fans, as you know the AWA will be in Winnipeg this weekend. Commercial Break Col Debeers vs. Marcus Hanes Debeers punishes Hanes, twirls his mustache and finishes things off with the front face piledriver. Resnick: Col Debeers, at WrestleRock you were disqualified when you hit Carlos Colon with that club of yours. You busted the man's head open for Pete's sake! Debeers: Carlos the Untouchable Colon wanted a war and I gave him one. Colon got exactly what he deserved! Now that that peasant is out of the way, it's time for me to get back on track and go after a title. I have my sights set on the International title. That title is currently held by a fat and disgusting cowboy. Stan Hansen, I'm putting you on notice. Your title will soon be all mine! Commercial Break Resnick: Fans, with me now is the current AWA TV champ, David Sammartino. David, you've been a fighting champion and next week you'll be defending your title against Austin Idol. Sammartino: When I won this title, I said I was ready for all comers. I haven't ducked a challenge yet and I'm more than ready to take on Idol next week. Boos as Austin Idol walks out wearing sunglasses and a gold headband. Idol: Oh darling! Let's be realistic here. Austin Idol is the most from coast to coast. I'm the coolest cat in the AWA and I'm what the people want to see on TV. Sammartino, you're a bore baby and that title needs some charisma. Sammartino: No doubt about it Idol. You've got charisma but that wont be nearly enough to take this title from me. Idol, you just don't have the grit. Resnick smirks as Sammartino walks away. WHAM! Idol nails Sammartino from behind! Idol picks up Sammartino and swings him into the steel post. Idol takes off his sunglasses and sets them on Sammartino's face. Idol: You see what I'm talking about Resnick. On that note, my guests at this time are the Soul Patrol. James Brown's Liv'n in America plays as the Soul Patrol come out wearing Uncle Sam hats and USA themed vests. Resnick: Ok, you guys are coming off a big win at WrestleRock and have earned a shot at the world tag titles. How do you think you'll do against the Enforcers? Walker: We heard the Enforcers talking about how tough they are and if there's any team man enough to face them. Well, here we are. and we'll take that challenge. We are Family blasts over the speakers as Iceman Parsons comes out dancing his way to the ring. The first few minutes is back and forth action with neither man gaining a solid advantage. They trade hip tosses, dropkicks and body slams. Both men back up and regroup. They smile at each other and give each other a high five. The match continues as they momentum shifts several times. Resnick: The fans and I were really looking forward to seeing you back Iceman. Then you pull that? Come on! Parsons: If there's one thing I've learned in this business, it's win any way you can! A win's a win and that's all that matters. That youngster just learned a valuable lesson. (laughs) The Iceman cometh! Resnick: (shaking his head) Looks like Iceman Parsons came back with a new attitude. Fans, next week we'll have footage from Winnipeg. See you then.
  8. Sherri has Power and Glory off to a good start. I love this pairing! Bad News vs OMG is going to rock at Summer Slam. Two bad dudes going at it. The King vs. The Snake. That sells I hope the Bees know what they're doing. You just never know with open challenges Paula Abdul. YES! Man, Heenan is really focused on Rude and I know Rude takes his training seriously The Giant and Superfly give the fans another great visual Bravo vs Duggan for the IC title will be another banger match at Summer Slam After winning his feud with the Genius, I wonder what's next for Silver King I always thought this was the perfect era for the WWF to add IC tag titles. I'm so glad you're doing this. A lot going down as we head down the road to Summer Slam
  9. Will York gets the answer she wants? Never count Akbar out. I'm sure he'll return with an even more devastating devastation Inc The Steiners are at the top but man the USWA has a stacked tag division. And with the RnR Express returning, things are going to get even better Lawler makes HTM man pay. Rich has a good laugh but now he's made enemies with the family. Even though Lawler is still anti Rich, at least Rich has JYD backing him up. Great segment Jarret turns down the offer. I cant wait to see the fun York is going to have. Never a dull moment in the USWA
  10. I love the storyline of Sting's climb to a world title shot and trying to break the top ten. It's all about the journey The tag division is absolutely stacked! Sid's getting the monster push. Adam Bomb is a good big man to help catapult Sid to the next level Steamboat and Hall get to battle it out for a world title shot Hennig makes some bold comments. He's definitely not here to make friends. Luger is more confident than ever. Sting's getting some serious momentum going, but Nikita is looking to put an abrupt stop to that
  11. Young Hamrick gets in a nice showcase Kawada continues his rampage Douglas's momentum is going to get him a CA title shot Is the OWC wearing down? Windham is gunning for Adams Vancouver The Sons have gotten over and may be looking for a shot at some gold The Midnights are rolling again PCO has Scotty's number Two big feuds in one tag match can only end in chaos Busick retains again with the Spinebuster Slam! Add Hart to the long list of Dibiase contenders. 12. AWA releases Sandy Beach and Ron Starr
  13. Man, the fans are fired up tonight! Here we go! Nagai came out sprinting but Yamada played it cool and took him to school Fuke played it smart against Flynn I was looking forward to Vrij and Johnson. Johnson showed off his power but Vrij's experience was too much to handle. I enjoyed the two tag matches. It was a solid showcase for the thriving division. Putting them on before the big title match was a smart move The Russians and the Kosloski's put it all out there. This could've gone either way. Kosloski's earned the titles and will defend them proudly. Fujiwara finished strong. There was nothing Ogawa could do. I'm sure a lot of people paid to see Backlund and Karelin. Backlund was on his A game but damn, Karelin went into beast mode. I wonder if this was Backlund's swan song. Maeda and Takada tear the house down. Maeda gets the win but Takada took him to the limit. Only a world title match could follow the last match. Sayama and Fujinami deliver and keep the fans electric energy going. The title was in Fujinami's grasp but that tiger suplex by Sayama was visually stunning. This was one of the best cards of the year. Great job!

AWA National Tag Team Champs Latin Desire vs. Neil Jordan and Tony Salino The fans have certainly taken a liking to Latin Desire and they make it known tonight. Al superkicks Salino as he staggers into a back suplex by Lou for the win. Nelson: Ok, you guys regained the National tag titles at WrestleRock and man this reception by the fans is wild. Lou: It really is and you know what? My brother and I are embracing it, so keep it coming. Al: Yea, we sort of lost track when we were focusing on vanity instead of wrestling. Hey, these fans know we're cool (big pop as Al smiles and winks) We regained these titles and we're more focused than ever. These fans are supporting us and we promise to be fighting champs frp Commercial Break 'The Mighty Yankee' Steve Disalvo vs. Jason Moore Disalvo puts his muscles to work with a variety of power moves, then finishes things off with a running shoulder breaker. Commercial Break The Guerreros vs. The Power Twins The fans boo as the Guerreros enter the ring. They look around with 'why are they booing us' faces. The Power Twins enter the ring. The Guerreros look over at the jacked up team and walk over to offer handshakes. The Power Twins shake hands and then start squeezing hard. The Guerreros go to their knees. The Ref breaks things up. The first few minutes see the Power Twins use their strength to pinball the Guerreros all around the ring. The Guerreros finally come back with slick teamwork and constant tags, along with some subtle rule breaking. Power Twins make a monster comeback. They put Chavo through the ropes with a double shoulder block. They hoist Hector up and double slam him down and follow with stereo elbow drops. The Ref guides Larry to his corner. Chavo sneaks in and whacks Dave with a roll of quarters behind the head. Dave goes down. Larry runs after Chavo. Hector rolls over and covers Dave 1..2..3! The Guerreros steal the win. Commercial Break Nelson: Well, looks like the Guerreros have picked up right where they left off. Ok, with me now are the Olympians. At WrestleRock, we all saw the return of Tom Brandi. He's really been a thorn for you guys, especially you Ken Patera. Patera: Tom Brandi is like that fly that just wont go away! Enough is enough! Brandi! This ends in Winnipeg! You and me in a loser leaves town match! That is if you've got the guts. Rheingans: You got this Ken. I'm so sick of Tom Brandi. Make him suffer and then give him a ride with your full nelson. Patera: You can count on that! 'Jamming' Tommy Jammer w/The Vin Man vs. Carl Kellerman Vinnie is all smiles as Jammer suplexes Kellerman and wins the match with the California Splash. Nelson: Vinnie, at WrestleRock, you and Tommy just up and left Sandy Beach. What was that all about? Vin: AWWWW Larbo, it was time to cut the deadweight. Sandy just wasn't up to par. I've got big plans for Tommy and I'm taking him all the way to single's gold. YEA! Commercial Break Texas Red vs. Billy Benardi Red appeared at WrestleRock and put the Texas Hangman down. Tonight, the fans get to see him in action. The fans are in awe at Red's balance as he literally walks the ropes and crashes down with a fist on Benardi. Red totally dominates. He lifts Benardi up and puts him down with the Heart punch! Benardi is stretchered out. Nelson tries to get a word with Red. Red just stops, looks into the camera and says he's here for the souls of the Hangman and Nell. Commercial Break Jimmy 'The Stud' Golden vs. Clinton Stitch Golden is in a bad mood tonight and takes it all out on Stitch. Golden pounds away on Stitch and finishes him off with a piledriver. Golden isn't satisfied. Golden tapes up his hand and proceeds to punch Stitch until he bleeds. Nelson: There was no reason for Golden to hurt that poor kid like that. Just sickening. With me now is the man who finally got some vindication at WrestleRock. I'm talking about Cactus Jack. Cactus: Vindication is right Larry. Bang Bang!... Jimmy Golden walks over. Golden: What the hell is going on here? You should be interviewing me and not this crazy looney! (Looks at Cactus) Time for you to take a walk psycho boy! Golden pushes Jack. Jack pushes back. Golden backs up and walks away. Cactus: (screaming) If Golden wants a fight, fine by me. WHAM! Golden nails Jack from behind with a pair of brass knuckles! Golden: You see that Larry! I just knocked that loon out cold! Commercial Break Nelson: Ok, I'm here with Tom Brandi. Tom, welcome back to the AWA. I know you heard the challenge made by Ken Patera for Winnipeg. He sure didn't waste any time did he? Brandi: It's all good with me Larry. And my answer is simple. Ken Patera, it's on! Leo Burke vs. Freddie Jergins Burke's on fire tonight and puts his opponent out with the sleeper. Nelson: Leo, you've been on quite a roll lately and have been rewarded an AWA world title shot against Ric Flair in Winnipeg. Burke: Larry, since I've arrived in the AWA, I've given 100% each and every time I'm in that ring. I get my opportunity of a lifetime in Winnipeg and all I can say is Ric Flair better be ready because I sure am. Commercial Break 'The Modern Day Warrior' Kerry Von Erich vs. Todd Rooney The fans are up and cheering the entire time as Kerry goes to work. Kerry hits the discus punch and finishes things off with the claw! Nelson: (listens to the cheering fans) Ok Kerry, welcome back to the AWA. Boy, these fans sure missed you. Kerry: Thank you Larry and I missed them too. It's so great to be back in the AWA. I'm fired up and ready to rock brother! Boos as JW Storm walks out in his leather jacket and sunglasses. Storm: Whoa, whoa, whoa! Listen, I'm sure you were a pretty big deal once upon a time but the future is here and you're looking at it. Now, you and I are signed for a match in Winnipeg and you're going to find out that this sport has passed you by. However, beating a Von Erich will be a nice notch on my resume. So, this match does kind of mean something. Later. Storm walks away. Kerry smirks. Kerry: Well, I guess my first real test will be in Winnipeg next week and we'll see what the future holds. Commercial Break Winner gets a TV title shot in 2 weeks 'The Universal Heartthrob' Austin Idol vs. 'The Maverick' Gary Young Gary looks a little distraught tonight and Idol takes full advantage. Gary gets in some offensive segments but Idol controls most of the match. Young starts to gain some momentum but misses a flying press. Idol grabs Gary and hits a rib breaker 1..2..3! Idol gets his shot. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, my guests at this time are the new AWA world champ Ric Flair, new AWA world tag champs, the Enforcers and Tully Blanchard. Flair and Tully are wearing suits. Arn and Zbyszko are wearing slacks and polo shirts. The fans are buzzing tonight. Tully grabs the mic from Nelson. Tully: Thanks Mr. Nelson, we'll take it from here. You people are looking at the most dominant group in wrestling. We came into WrestleRock and took over. The proof is in all the gold you see. Tell them champ. Tully hands the mic to Flair. Flair: I told you! I told you! I told you! WOOOOO! I said I was going to beat the immortal Hulk Hogan and I did just that! Where's Hogan now? He tucked his tail between his legs and took off! Hulkamania is over, done with and gone! I'm the AWA world champion now! Now! Like Tully said, you're looking at the best of the best. Arn Anderson, Larry Zbyszko, the Enforcers are the world tag team champs. Tully Blanchard, the man with the plan, the manager and figurehead. And of course yours truly, the AWA world champion. WOOO! Talk to them champs. Zbyszko: Everybody knows how much I hate spudheads. Well at WrestleRock we got rid of those two teeny bopp'n loving spudheads. We outclassed them and proved that we're the superior team. That goes for all the teams in the AWA. None of them match up. It's that simple. Arn: I don't want to toot my own horn but toot toot! The Enforcers made their mark at WrestleRock and the rest is icing on the cake. Any team that thinks their man enough to take us on better think again. Tully: The 4 Horsemen are serving notice to the AWA. This is only the beginning. Flair: That's right! Oh and Leo Burke, do you really think you can hang with the Nature Boy? You can't! In Winnipeg, you're first up and the first in a long line of contenders to go down. This is the era of the 4 Horsemen and you all better get used to it! WOOOOO! The Horsemen all flash the four fingers as the show ends.
  15. Heenan pumps up Rude and hypes up the upcoming Summer Slam cage match with Warrior. I have no doubt that this match will deliver Hase and Sasaki together could have an epic WWF run. Sherri with Power and Glory is a natural fit. Fantastics and Samoans pick up wins. The WWF is loaded with top notch teams. Wow, that was one of Dusty's best promos. Him and Funk in a Texas Death Match, bring it on! Nailz dominates Jake's got his DDT ready for the King I'm glad Duggan gets the IC shot. Him and Bravo going at it is money. The fans in Boston are so lucky. Summer Slam is stacked!
  16. Rich remains on good behavior and kicks the show off with a simple win Brad Armstrong was the perfect guy to get Austin over here. Smart booking JJ gets a tremendous win over Mr. Wonderful. We're seeing prime time Steiners right now. This might be the end of Akbar's relationship with the Grapplers. JYD has arrived! I know his better days are behind him, but you put him in a perfect spot here. The fans still love him and he could be a popular and strong mid card presence fighting cowardly heels like Dutch. Really good job Damn! Savage and Bossman tore it up. I think we're going to get a lot more. Bring it on! The King ends the night on a high note by putting HTM down with the piledriver.
  17. YES! Teddy Long and Doom have arrived! Hart's trio of Samoans are going to wreak havoc DDP wants a tag title shot for the Freebirds but it looks like Long and Doom also have their sights set on gold. The Rockers have a lot on their plate. Sid's getting the monster push. Better get more stretchers ready I would love to see Steamboat and Luger go at it Speaking of Luger, Race hires him some muscle and Luger says he's calling the shots now. BTW, great role for Charles Wright here. I'm loving Hall's TV title run. Sting is fired up more than ever. Great to have him back. He wants Luger but Nikita still has unfinished business. The plot thickens. Wait! Curt Hennig is here!?!?
  18. I agree with Kev, this is the perfect event for your promotion. Loved the finish to the first match with Rose just looking across at 4 men and bailing. Regal and Slaughter get to showcase their finishers as they stand strong at the end. Liger put in a valiant effort but I think the Hexagon needed this big win. Awesome way to wrap things up as Adams and Kawada work in sync to take Windham out. Just when you think Cornette is down and out, his Midnights pull out the big win and give him reason to celebrate. Huge way to end the show with a barnburner of a match. Martel sends the fans home happy and guarantees himself a rematch for the title. Great job! Exciting show
  19. AWA WrestleRock Fallout and News World Title Scene After losing the AWA world title to Ric Flair at WrestleRock, Hulk Hogan will be taking some time off to heal up. In the meantime, Flair has a lot of challenges ahead. The top contenders are El Canek, The Magnificent Muraco, Tony St. Clair and Leo Burke. Recent arrivals Kerry Von Erich, Ron Garvin and Mr. Saito should be in title contention soon. The AWA has big plans for the world title in the next few months. The title will be defended in Mexico, Japan, United Kingdom and Puerto Rico. AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow recently commented on Hulk Hogan's year long title reign. He stated that the AWA couldn't be any happier with Hogan's run. Hogan brought main stream attention to the AWA which helped book huge acts like AC/DC for WrestleRock. Also, TV ratings and attendance were way up as Hogan fulfilled all his obligations. Morrow also stated that they have tremendous faith in Ric Flair and believe he will be a tremendous draw in foreign countries. The AWA is looking to make a global splash and believe Flair is up for the task. International Title At WrestleRock, Stan Hansen put an end to Terry Taylor's 10 month reign in a dominating way. Taylor claimed this was totally unfair and quit on the spot. Hansen winning the International title expands the AWA's working relationship with Japan. A deal was worked out so that Hansen can defend the title in both Japan and the US. World Tag Team Titles Well, the Enforcers did what they said they were going to do and defeated the RnR Express for the world titles. They've already made quite the impact in the tag team scene. However, they have a list of teams waiting for a shot, including the Soul Patrol, Takano Dragons and Swords of Light. National Tag Team Titles It appears the fans have taken a liking to the now 2 time National tag champs, Latin Desire. The fans like their cool look and the reception they got at WrestleRock sealed the deal. Latin Desire are going babyface. The Destruction Crew are the number one contenders but Morrow has signed Latin Desire to defend against the Jive Tones first, so a final stamp can be put on the feud. On a side note, former champ Eric Embry has left the AWA. Word is that his Mavrick partner Gary Young wasn't very happy about this. TV Title David Sammartino is enjoying a strong run as TV champ, coming off a big title defense against King Kahlua at WrestleRock. The TV title challenge drawings will be returning to TV, and Sammartino's ready to defend against all comers. At WrestleRock, we all saw a masked man put the Hangman down with a heart punch. The man is known as Texas Red. Red has made a name for himself in PCW and other territories. Nobody knows what his intentions are with the Hangman but I guess we'll find out. No word yet from Nell and the Hangman. After the finish at WrestleRock, Carlos Colon and Col. Debeers will be continuing their feud. Colon is slated for a world title shot in Puerto Rico but we'll see if this feud derails those plans. Gerry Morrow was so impressed with both Don Muraco's and Jumbo Tsuruta's WrestleRock performance that he's decided to give Muraco a world title shot and Jumbo gets an International title shot after they heal up. Greg Gagne was back in the hospital after El Canek got through with him. No word on when Gagne will return. King Kong Bundy was livid after his loss and has vowed to take anyone down who steps in his way. Buddy Landel and Tom Prichard got a lot of buzz coming in as the Heavenly Bodies. Gerry Morrow said that he was impressed by the Renegade Warriors wrestling a team they didn't have a chance to prepare for and will give them a future world tag title shot. Kerry Von Erich made his return at WrestleRock. If you remember, the AWA previously strapped a rocket to Kerry and he was going to be their centerpiece. The AWA was in disarray when Kerry left. Luckily that's when Hulk Hogan came in. Kerry has said he's more focused than ever and ready to make a splash in the AWA. And yes, it appears that the 4 horsemen are reunited and ready to rule the AWA. Tully Blanchard's WrestleRock appearance cemented that. People said that their post WrestleRock party was off the charts. I guess a celebration was in order since the Horsemen won all the world titles. All four of them will be at the next TV show and I'm sure they'll have a lot to say. The AWA returns to its regular format next week.
  20. The body is back! That was a nice surprise Norton debuts and wins his match in a flash. WWF mainstays Sheik and Koko pick up nice TV wins OMG and Bad News are going to have some all out brawls Another debut as Sasaki picks up a solid win. I wonder if we'll see a Japanese alliance soon. With the talent you have, they could be dominating WOW! Warrior and Rude in the cage! Summer Slam's bringing the heat It's good to see Badd Co. still in the mix. They're a great workhorse team Quake's always a threat The King picks up a big win over Hughes and looks to be ready for Jake.
  21. Well, we couldn't get this game into the 90s without the York Foundation. Great way to introduce Alexandra. That must have been some offer. So far Rich has been legit. Big 8 man main event is set. I laughed when Hart said Dundee was trying to kill him. Hart is so good. HTM calls Christopher out. I can't wait until next week to see how Christopher responds. IRL, I loved Tex and Shanghai. Adding Wild Bill to this gimmick makes it even better. The USWA is the perfect place for these guys. Akbar put a lot of pressure on the Grapplers. Medusa and Stunning Steve! What a pair. After his run in PCW, Steve has a lot of buzz coming in. This will be fun to watch. Dutch has no way out. I'm sure Gaylord will bring in a suitable partner. Dutch fuming is always a great way to end the show.
  22. Genius getting his hair clipped was the perfect blow off to a very entertaining feud Berzerker looked like a monster putting Tito down with the boot Sensational Sherri has arrived! The Rougeaus back up their talk. These guys have been heat magnets and I'm loving every minute of it Brown gets the win but damn did he take a beating afterwards! Awesome way to bring back OMG! The fans don't go home happy but did get to witness one heck of a fight. I liked the finish, which was very realistic. Big win for the Outlaws.
  23. Cool seeing the return of the figures The US tag match was the perfect choice to kick things off and get the crowd going. After quite the chase, Owen and Davey finally get to hold the titles high I think we all know what to expect from a Freebirds/Nasties match and they deliver a fun fight. Freebirds and DDP have some buzz going Damn, poor Z-Man. Comes back fresh from his injuries only to get planted by Sid! Big things ahead for the man that rules the world Very creative finish as Hall retains against Crush. The babyfaces get the win, but things get heated between Sid and Gigante. Steamboat beats Muta in a barnburner. Paul E's lucky he got out of there alive after slapping Muta. I wonder if Paul E will join the announce crew now. And what's he going to do with all his winnings Triumphant return for Sting! He gets the needed win, but Nikita still looked strong. Sting's white hot right now Pillman puts up a gallant effort but Luger was too much to handle. Awesome post match segment with Sting cleaning house. Sting and Luger will be money! After one of the best feuds in the game, the Rockers finally put a stamp on it. This cements the Rockers as one of the best teams in the world Great show!
  24. Adam's has his League united and ready to mow over the competition. SOB's regain their tidal wave of momentum It's been fun watching the rise of Douglas and now he's ready for that big breakout Kid strikes lighting Regal gets a big c.o. win over the Monster, but is really looking for that decisive pin Cow Palace Bigelow gets one up on his current rival Awesome I can't see anyone getting up from an Adams/Kawada double superkick. PCO is locked into a feud with the Playboy Club, good thing he's got some solid back up Damn! Who can stop the MVC??? Busick retains over a game Malenko Lee spoils a hot title bout. One thing's for sure, Dibiase has a long list of big name contenders to work with. Fresno Coast to Coast's arrogance costs them The Italian Stallion has become a force, so that's a big win for Hamrick The FOJ get the better of their former rivals Oh yea! I remember Severn and Albright going at it. They sure fired things up again tonight The fans get a treat watching 4 of the best LHWs go at it Condrey's win gives something for Cornette to smile about this weekend There's definitely a storm coming to Utah!
