  1. AWA SuperClash World Title Press Conference @ The Marriot Hotel Grand Ballroom, Denver Co Verne Gagne stands up at the podium in stage. There's a huge SuperClash 4 banner behind him. Nikita Koloff and Col. Debeers sit on one side. Hulk Hogan sits on the other side with the world title in front of him. AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow and Brenda Britton stand behind Verne. Extra Security is all over the place. Reporters and V.I.P.'s are seated in the audience. Verne: Thank you all for coming out. As you know, SuperClash has been the flagship event for the AWA. January 3rd at the McNichols Arena will truly be a historic and epic night for the AWA. You will witness the biggest AWA world title match in history as Hulk Hogan defends the AWA world title against Nikita Koloff. With a match of this magnitude, it's only fitting we bring in the best ring announcer. None other than Michael Buffer will do the honors. Before we get to the comments from the wrestlers involved, it should be noted that Col. Debeers has applied for and received a one night manager's license to be in Nikita's corner at SuperClash. Also, Debeers has been booked in a match at SuperClash against Spike Huber. Col. Debeers will now have his time to speak. Followed by Nikita Koloff and then the champ Hulk Hogan. Debeers: Let me address the AWA's feeble attempt to distract myself at SuperClash with a match. Simply put, Spike Huber is meaningless and will be made an example of. This is just pathetic because the AWA is trying to keep mine and Nikita Koloff's eyes off the prize. I told everyone that we're wide awake and nothing will stop Nikita Koloff from winning the AWA world title. That's where I agree with Verne Gagne. SuperClash will indeed be a historic night because that's the night America's biggest hero will fall prey to the Russian Nightmare. Nikita stands up, shakes hands with Debeers, then goes to the podium. Koloff: Let Nikita talk about the AWA. Nikita was the one who fought for AWA and the fans! Nikita was the one who was involved in bloody wars with evil, vile and corrupted men. All Americans! Nikita has world title stolen from him by disgraceful American. Hulk Hogan arrive and everybody forget about Nikita and all he do! Hogan is selfish man who use Nikita. (stares at Hogan) Just looking at this weak man makes me want to smash his face in! I promise you this Hulk Hogan, Nikita will put you down hard so that you never get up! I will make all America cry when they see you laying there begging and pleading for your life. The world title come back home to Nikita! Nikita looks at Hogan and does a trap pose. Hogan stands up as Security closes in. Things get tense but Nikita slowly goes back to his seat. Hogan: You got it all wrong Nikita! I never left you hanging brother. When you were double powerbombed, I was in Alaska. When you reached for that tag in our match, I was on the outside recovering. You could have easily come to me man to man about all this, but instead you listened to that fool and instigator Debeers. You took the coward's way out brother and here we are. I hope you and that slime Debeers are happy. But be careful what you wish for. The power of Hulkamania and America is beyond your comprehension. Nikita, you were once somebody who stood tall and now it's a shame that you've become a puppet to Debeers. So whatcha.... Nikita tackles Hogan! Security rush the scene as Hogan and Nikita roll around punching each other. Security separates them. Hogan breaks free and tackles Nikita. As Security breaks them up, Debeers hits Hogan's back with a chair! Hogan staggers forward as Nikita breaks free from Security and nails Hogan with the Russian Sickle! Hogan falls back and knocks over the podium! Verne is yelling and threatening Nikita as Debeers escorts Nikita away while everybody attends to Hogan. The place is in shambles
  2. Welcome back! It's so fun seeing Bert and Ronnie's bantering back in our game. This is a place Todd Morton can make an impression. I hope Renesto goes full on Assassin. WHOA! Who was that lady and what was she saying? The Cubans will bring the heat here. I'm glad you and your great take on a true territory is back.
  3. YES! Thanksgiving and Starrcade Giving the fans a 20 minute action packed JR. Title match to kick things off is the way to go. Whatley brings in the Bees and now we have new 6 man champs. Boogie Woogie Man takes out Uncle Ivan then gives Jones the beating if his life, capping off a classic feud. No surprise that Badd Co. and the Nightmares put on a show stealing match. Cool seeing Badd Co win the belts. Horrible night for Jones. Rich and Kamala give us an old school southern brawl. Manny's recent aggression pays off as he takes the title from the Golden Warrior. I know these two gave the fans their money's worth. WOW! The Andersons are all on the same page and help Tully and Arn upset the Road Warriors. Flair gets the best of Harley in a last showdown. Good sportsmanship by Flair. That's respect. What a way to cap the show and the NWA with Landel and Prichard going all the way. The icing on the cake was the stare down between the Nature Boys. Hey, you did a fantastic job with the NWA. Can't wait to see what you do with the WWF.
  4. Johnny gets a bit of satisfaction Price gets one over on Cannonball but gets chased out of the building hahaha Kendall takes down the bodyguard This Gorgeous Jimmy is looking to fill Garvin's shoes. Dory advances and shows real sportsmanship Strange circumstances allow Dory a bye Humperdink gets a win for Kabuki Graham's backslide holds Victory down Starr lives up to his moniker Kendall is looking good as he spoils Precious's night Graham advances but will he compete? Kendall's tearing it up! The mist puts Dory into the finals Rockers even things up with the New Breed AWWWWW got me again! Dory really had me fooled. Humperdink now has the Florida title in his house. Exciting night in Florida!
  5. DAMN! STARRCADE is loaded!!!!!
  6. Hey Kev, sorry for falling behind on some transactions that were made. Kokina - WWF Larry Cameron - PCW Brutus Beefcake - AWA Soultaker (Charles Wright) - AWA Also, Corporal Kirchner was dropped from the AWA and is now in free agency.
  7. Cannonball is officially inside Price's head. I'm enjoying this fun feud. Wow, Mando gets very disrespectful tonight as things with Graham goes to another level. New Breed eke one out over the Rockers. Hopefully we get more matches between these exciting teams. Dory looking to prove he's got another title run in him. Oh man, you got me!!!!! Gorgeous Jimmy POWERS hahahahaha. This is great! I always thought Powers had the look and talent to be a star and now he's been given a huge opportunity to do that. Good job, very creative. And just like that the Rich's reign is over. I've always liked the team of Tatum and Victory and they've had a lot of success in our game. Congrats on another title reign.
  8. The Rockers withstand a lot of punishment to get the win. Scotty always did have some amazing finishes Martel and Owen tear the house down. Martel pulls it out in a thriller Dusty still has the magic A wild end to the show. I cant wait to see these teams go at it again at SS
  9. San Diego! It all comes down to this! Eddie's aggressiveness pays off as he kicks off the supercard with a win. 1990 could be the year of the Suicide Blondes and their new attitude. I have to say, the way the Southern Boys left had me cracking up. After one hell of a run, Pillman says goodbye. A star was born. Phoenix Rising's fire will continue into the next year. What an awesome visual as Azul captures the LHW title. No doubt about it, Azul will continue to elevate this division into the 90s. Damn! The 6 man match was filled with chaotic chaos! I'm sure Dutch will be the one reviewing the tape. After a hard hitting and intense feud, Blackman finally ends things with Chono, but Chono's definitely made a name for himself as well. Malenko gets ruthless to win the title. With this edge, it's going to be almost impossible to get the title off him. Good grief! Awesome sends Hall packing with a stamp! This man is one dominating force. Props to Hall for an impressive PCW run. Hart plays it smart but it took everything he had to defeat Austin. Looking forward to Austin's future after this incredible outing. What a way to end night one. Night 2, here we go! One by one they went down, with only Snow surviving. After an intense but respectful feud, Severn finally ends his business with Tenryu. Camp Cornette goes down and Corny might have a huge problem on his hands with Busick. The emergence of Cactus Jack has been fun to watch. I mean he even gets respect from Iron and Steel before leaving the territory. Buddy comes up short after a bad weekend for the Playboy Club. I wonder what the 90s will bring??? Lee does the turn as the Terror finish off Rhodes. I'm sure Dibiase liked what he saw. Things will be interesting. After one of the best chases in wrestling, the Dreamboats finally take down the Express to win the gold. What a great moment. I also have to say, the Midnights had the most dominating year I've seen in this game. Gordy brought his A game, but Steamboat's plan worked to perfection as he ends the 2 day event on a high note. Great show brother! This capped off an incredible year and sets the tone for 1990.
  10. The King vs. Mr. Perfect! What a way to kick off the USWA! Damn! 6-Man, first blood match! WrestleWar is going to be epic! Embry gets some serious payback on Rogers, thanks to Miss Tennessee. Dirty Dutch might be making a big mistake messing with the Fab One. Looking forward to seeing how Marlin handles DWB LOL Gilbert gets the cheap win, but Lawler is hot on his tail. Big stipulation for next week's match. It wouldn't be a Memphis ending without some good chaos. Can't wait to see what goes down at Wrestlewar!
  11. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 11-22-89 Footage from No Holds Barred: The Movie/The Match is shown. We see Col. Debeers hold Hulk Hogan as Nikita Koloff wraps a chain around his arm and puts Hogan down with the Russian Sickle. The end of the footage sees Debeers and Koloff shake hands over a bloody and lifeless Hogan. Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. I'm still in shock over what we just saw. Absolutely stunned. I can tell you that the world champ Hulk Hogan will be here tonight to respond. However, right now I'm looking for answers. Joining me now is Nikita Koloff and Col Debeers. Thundering boos as Debeers strolls out twirling his mustache while Nikita comes out with his chain wrapped around his neck as he stares daggers into the camera and at the fans. Nelson: I am completely appalled at what went down in St. Paul. Col. Debeers, we've seen you out here for weeks scouting Nikita Koloff. Was this an evil plan all along? I just can't believe this! Debeers: Believe it Nelson because Nikita Koloff has seen the truth. I simply enlightened Nikita to something he's really known deep down inside all along. His eyes were just closed but now the Russian Nightmare is wide awake! You people and this weak country have held Nikita back for way too long! The American Wrestling Association (Laughs) American says it all. For the past year, America has tried to get rid of Nikita but look at him now. Stronger and more alert than ever! Nelson: Why Nikita? Please, don't listen to this man! Nikita: (raises his arm at Nelson) Shut up! Col Debeers is right! One year ago I lost the AWA world title because of Sgt. Slaughter. A true American robbed me of my title! Nikita go to war with Slaughter and Nikita win! Then I find out that another patriot Col Kirchner was behind it. He hires the poisonous assassin Jake the Snake to put me out of commission. Nikita win that war and rids the evil from the AWA. Americans try to hurt and end my career but they all failed! After all that, did the AWA ever give Nikita a rematch for the world title? NO! So, Nikita come to the Happening and save Hulk Hogan from a beating at the hands of Jumbo Tsuruta and Tatsumi Fujinami. I agree to team with Hogan. That's when Col. Debeers come in and start to talk to Nikita. I did not listen. Then Jumbo and Tatsumi attack Nikita and double powerbomb me! Where was Hogan? Did he have my back? NO! But Nikita still not listen to Debeers. At the match, I went to tag Hogan but Hogan not there! Later that selfish Hogan tag himself in and take all the glory of winning. That was it! I put Hogan down with Russian Sickle and then with this chain! He deserved it! Now Nikita will defeat the biggest American patriot in the world! Hulk Hogan, I challenge you to a match at SuperClash for the AWA world title! You can't run or hide! Nikita is going to take your head off with the Russian Sickle and bring the title back home! Where it belongs! Debeers: Hulk Hogan, this is not a dream but SuperClash will be a Russian Nightmare for you! Nikita sticks out his tongue and does a trap pose as Nelson looks on in shock. Commercial Break Leo Burke vs. Trent Watkins Burke wins the match with a sleeper. Burke cuts a promo about next week's big International title match with Terry Taylor. Burke says he's ready to knock the arrogance out of Taylor and win the International title. Commercial Break Iceman Parsons vs. Chicky Starr This is the 4th match in the series and Chicky's hoping to end the All-Stars losing streak as he attacks Parsons at the bell and is relentless. Chicky slams Parsons down and angrily stomps away. Chicky rakes his boot across Parsons face and drops a knee 1..2..Kick Out. Chicky swings Parsons to the ropes but misses a clothesline, Parsons swings back and dropkicks Chicky down. Parsons hammers away on Chicky and suplexes him back 1..2..Kick Out. Parsons swings Chicky into the corner and follows with a knee to the mid section. Parsons swings Chicky to the opposite corner and charges in but Chicky nails the oncoming Parsons with a boot to the face. Chicky regroups and chokes Parsons on the top rope and flings him back. Chicky picks up Parsons and slams him down. Chicky goes to the middle ropes and hits an elbow drop 1..2..Kick Out. Chicky's pissed and almost hits the Ref while he berates him. Chicky swings Parsons to the ropes and goes for a back drop but Parsons leapfrogs over, swings back and nails Parsons with the Hip Attack 1..2..3!!! Big Pop for the Iceman! Commercial Break Justified vs. Marvin Jones and Carl Kellerman Oliver puts Jones down with a forearm blast from the middle ropes. Oliver tags in Young, who finishes things off with a tornado DDT! Justified cuts a promo regarding the SuperClash tag team battle royal for the National Tag Titles. They say they're ready for all the teams and want the titles bad! Commercial Break 'Mad Dog' Buzz Sawyer vs. Ray Glader Sawyer demolishes his opponent and finishes things off with the powerslam! Sawyer goes crazy and starts biting Glader's head until he starts bleeding. Sawyer spits out the blood as officials and medics hit the ring. Commercial Break SuperClash 4 Control Center Ken Resnick is standing in front of a SuperClash banner. Resnick: SuperClash 4 will no doubt be the greatest night in AWA history. More matches have been signed. After going to two draws, Carlos Colon and Tony St. Clair have been signed to a no time limit match at SuperClash. In a battle of strongmen, Ken Patera will face Steve Disalvo. Also announced, Jumbo Tsuruta will go one on one with Big Jim Morris. And listen to this, Gerry Morrow has announced that Larry Zbyszko will face David Sammartino inside the steel cage! My goodness! It all happens on Jan.3rd at the McNichols Arena in Denver Colorado. Be there! Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, coming out now is the sensation from Mexico, Konnan. Konnan comes out WHAM! He's attacked from behind by Blackblood and the Soultaker! Akbar is out there calling the shots. They start pounding down on Konnan. The fans cheer as El Canek storms out! Canek mows down Akbar! All 4 men start brawling around the ring! Things get wild as a swarm of prelim wrestlers and security come out and try to break it up. Commercial Break Winner gets an AWA TV Title shot next week Mark Youngblood vs. Derrick Dukes w/The Vin Man Due to the current rivalry between the tag teams, the Ref bans Scott Putski and Chris Youngblood from ringside. Mark controls the opening minutes with chops, arm drags, hip tosses and slams. Dukes comes back with the power and speed. Dukes hits a belly to back suplex 1.2..Kick Out. Dukes gets more aggressive and starts breaking the rules but can't put Mark away. Dukes goes to the top rope and jumps off, but Mark nails him with a dropkick. Both men are reeling. Mark fires up and takes it to Dukes. He nails Dukes with a flying press 1..2..Kick Out. Mark goes to the top rope, Dukes staggers up as Mark nails him with a tomahawk chop. Mark goes up to the opposite top rope. Vin runs over and starts yelling up at Mark. Mark turns to Vinnie and jumps, giving him a tomahawk chop on the outside! While all this is happening, Dukes reaches in his tights and pulls out a foreign object. As Mark gets back in the ring, Dukes nails him with the foreign object and quicky cradles him 1..2..3! BOOOOOOO! Commercial Break The Union Jacks w/Les Thornton vs. Floyd Green and Stu Jersky Union Jacks are in sync and win the match when Dave clips Green's knees from behind as Smith puts him down with a running clothesline. Thornton cuts a promo on SuperClash and says St. Clair will finally show Colon who the superior wrestler is. He also scoffs at Justified's earlier comments and says the Union Jacks will be gunning for them in the tag team battle royal and then the National titles will be in the Parliament! Commercial Break Tommy Jammer vs. Todd Rooney Jammer's pretty full of himself and eventually wins the match with the California Splash! Nelson: Tommy, I understand you haven't been signed for a match at SuperClash yet? Jammer: Dude, are you surprised? I mean, I'm not. I issued an open challenge for SuperClash and of course no one's accepted. I guess they can't handle the California heat I bring. I thought the AWA was where the competition was at. I guess I was totally wrong. Talk about a bummer. This place is a real vibe killer. I'm outta here man! Commercial Break Brutus Beefcake vs. 'Blockbuster' Brian Adias The bell rings, but Adias is refusing to take off his sunglasses. It looks like he's feeling the pressure of a clean sweep. He keeps yelling at the Ref and the fans. He turns around and Beefcake nails him with a running high knee 1..2..3!!!! Mega Pop! The All-Stars go 0-5 as Beefcake completes the series sweep. Beefcake gives the fans a strut as Adias is laid out with his sunglasses crookedly on his face. Commercial Break Nelson: Please welcome out the AWA world champion, Hulk Hogan! The fans erupt. Hogan comes out with his head bandaged. His look is solemn as he holds the world title on his shoulder. Nelson: Hulk, I know you're in a state of shock like we all are. I have no idea what must be going through your head right now. You heard what Nikita Koloff and Col Debeers had to say. Hogan: (pauses and puts his hand on his bandaged head) This past week all I've thought about was you, Nikita Koloff. Every single time I looked in the mirror, I thought why Nikita, why. If you wanted a title shot, all you had to do was ask. But no! Instead you listened to that coward and psychotic Col Debeers. You've been brainwashed Nikita. What you did to me was lower than low brother. You didn't have the guts to confront me like a man. You not only did this to me, but you did it to all my Hulkamaniacs. Well, I'll make this real easy for you and that dirtbag Debeers. You want a world title match at SuperClash? (Hogan pauses and looks at the fans, then back at the camera) YOU GOT IT!!!!!!
  12. The first round match ups show how competitive the tag team division already is in PWF. Fan favorites, the Rich's advance to the finals as the heels Tatum and Victory get lucky with a bye. Cannonball gets his revenge but gets triple teamed. Luckily the Richs saved the day, setting up a heated finale for the straps. "The Opportunist" what a great moniker for Mando. Rich's win the titles and send the fans home happy. The Rich's have always been a fun part of our world, so it's cool seeing them holding gold.
  13. The road to Starrcade continues. Heading into Starrcade, Budro definitely has the numbers advantage. Prichard might need some back up to counter the Horsemen. Rich is one brave man requesting a match with Kamala. I'm sure Jones will be sweating during the Russian chain match. Looking forward to seeing who teams up with Whatley. Badd Co. get their shot at the Nightmares. Starrcade is stacked!!!
  14. AWA sends Bill Dundee to PWF
  15. Lightfoot is quickly looking to make a name for himself here. The battle of the feet comment cracked me up. DJ has put together quite a stable. It's great seeing these guys back in our game. I don't think to many people will mess with Precious with Miller watching her back. Both tournaments are loaded with talent. Can't wait to see who walks out with the gold. LOL, the Son of the Beach gimmick is great. This gives Grizzly a new resurgence in our world. Things quickly turn sour with Price wiping him out. A heated feud has started. Fun match with the Jr. title on the line. Mando was great here. I'm going to enjoy his run as the sneaky heel. However, Mikey is looking to end the run soon. Nice set up. PWF has another hot feud going with Humperdink's men, Kendall and the Rich's. Florida is catching fire!
  16. Without Hart, I wonder what's in the cards for the Rougeaus? I loved the write up with Bundy doing the damage and Jake finishing things off with the DDT. The build up to a Bossman/Zeus showdown has been great. That's going to get a huge pop at SS. I would say Haku gets the finish of the night. Damn! What a visual. Savage looks fantastic until Funk gets in a brutal shot. This is going to be a war at SS.
  17. The Dreamboats win is overshadowed by issues between the Blondes and Southern Boys. Man, I think Hall might be in trouble. Austin is clearly ready for Bret. If Lee and Rhodes keep this up, the Brigade might have a chance. Gordy sends older brother Ricky a violent message. LA, Southern Boys get some old fashion payback One of my favorite moves is Busick's spinebuster slam. Payne has an ally in Eagle. Good to have friends in PCW. I could watch Pilman and Eaton go at it forever. I'll say this, Hashimoto isn't ducking anyone Irish put in a game effort, but PR are rock'n as champs. If Steamboat is looking to tune up for Gordy, then Albright was a perfect opponent. Santa Barbara, 1990 has Young's name all over it. Scotty better be ready because Azul's coming. You have to be 100% going up against Iron and Steel or this happens. Eddie seems to be fired up. Regal and Adams tear the house down. Ok, Scotty's ready. Now I think Azul better be watching out for Tina.
  18. AWA presents NO HOLDS BARRED: THE MOVIE/ THE MATCH The movie No Holds Barred is shown. Live at the St. Paul Civic Center 11-16-89 Results from matches earlier tonight 'The Foreman' Spike Huber defeated Scott Putski with an airplane spin followed by a jumping elbow drop after interference from the Vin Man backfired. Konnan defeated The Soultaker by DQ after both Akbar and Blackblood interfered. El Canek ran out to even things up leading to more fighting. Larry Zbyszko and David Sammartino was declared a NO CONTEST when they refused to stop fighting before the match began. It took several officials and security to pull them apart. Resnick: Hello everybody and welcome to the St. Paul Civic Center. We hope you enjoyed the movie No Holds Barred. You just saw highlights of earlier matches and I'll tell you, it's been a crazy night. We have 2 bonus matches for you before we get to our gigantic tag team main event. The big question surrounding tonight's main event is will Nikita Koloff be here. As you know he took a double powerbomb from Tsuruta and Fujinami a couple weeks ago and hasn't been seen since. We all hope Nikita will make it. OK, let's get to the ring. 'The Universal Heartthrob' Austin Idol vs. 'Bullet' Bob Armstrong In another match that was announced by Gerry Morrow, this is the rivalry that started it all. The bell rings and these guys go at it. They brawl back and forth for a few minutes. Armstrong gets control and pinballs Idol around the ring for a while. Idol comes back with dirty tactics and takes it to Armstrong even busting his head open. Armstrong fires back and has Idol reeling. Idol changes things with an eye rake. Idol hits a shin breaker and goes for the Las Vegas leglock but Armstrong cradles him 1..2..3!! BIG POP! So far, the All-Stars are 0-3 in the series. Carlos Colon vs. 'Sir' Tony St. Clair w/Les Thornton The first few minutes is some pretty good back and forth chain wrestling. Tony finally takes control with a belly to back suplex. Tony works over Colon but can't put him away. Tony goes for a vertical suplex but Colon blocks it and suplexes Tony. Colon goes to town but he can't put Tony away. Tony comes back with a somersault followed by a diving headbutt to Colon's mid section. Tony hits a gut wrench suplex 1..2..Kick Out. Tony swings Colon into the corner and charges in, but Colon gets his knees up as Tony hits them head on. Colon makes a huge comeback and almost scores a pin with a flying leg scissors followed by a crucifix but Tony kicks out. Both men get into a furious forearm hitting exchange as the bell rings, signaling another draw between the two. Tony and Colon stare at each other for a long time before walking away. MAIN EVENT-THE MATCH! AWA World Champ Hulk Hogan and 'The Russian Nightmare' Nikita Koloff vs. Jumbo Tsuruta and Tatsumi Fujinami w/Ray Stevens Thundering boos as Stevens leads Jumbo and Tatsumi into the ring. The boos turn to a roof shattering cheer as Eye of the Tiger blares. Hogan walks out, then stops and smiles. He looks back. Out comes Nikita! The place goes nuts! Hogan and Nikita hit the ring and the fight is on! The bell rings as Nikita and Hogan double clothesline Stevens over the top rope! Jumbo and Fujinami attack but Nikita and Hogan are fired up and take it to them. They work over Jumbo and Tatsumi then stereo atomic drop them over the top rope. The place is going wild! The Ref finally gets control. Nikita and Tatsumi start things off. Nikita is all over Tatsumi and puts him down with a back elbow smash. Nikita follows with a jumping fist drop 1..2..Kick Out. Nikita swings Tatsumi to the corner and follows with a running back elbow smash. Nikita hip tosses Tatsumi and follows with a neck snap. Nikita tags in Hogan. Hogan swings Tatsumi to the ropes and clotheslines him down. Jumbo runs in and gets clotheslined. Hogan continues to work over Tatsumi then back drops him. Tatsumi rolls over and tags in Jumbo. Jumbo runs in and throws a punch but Hogan blocks it and punches away, then slams Jumbo down. Hogan tags in Nikita. Nikita hits a snap suplex 1..2..Tatsumi runs in and breaks it. Hogan runs in but the Ref guides him back. This allows Tatsumi to give Nikita a gut buster. Jumbo staggers up, swings Nikita to the ropes and nails him with a flying knee 1..2..Kick Out. Tatsumi picks up Nikita and executes a tilt a whirl back breaker 1..2..Kick Out. Tatsumi swings Nikita to the ropes and clamps on the Abdominal stretch. While this is happening, Stevens slowly gets up on the outside and goes over to Hogan's corner and starts yelling up at Hogan. Hogan is about to go after Stevens, but Jumbo runs over, yanks Hogan off the apron and rams him face first into the steel post, busting Hogan open. Jumbo then suplexes Hogan on the concrete. Inside the ring, Nikita is fighting the Abdominal stretch. He shakes up and down, then hip tosses Tatsumi over. Nikita staggers back into the corner and reaches for the tag, but Hogan is still out on the outside. Jumbo runs in the ring. Him and Tatsumi double team Nikita, then double suplex him. The Ref gets order. Tatsumi swings Nikita to the ropes and dropkicks him down, then tags in Jumbo. Tatsumi holds Nikita as Jumbo comes off the top rope with a double axehandle 1..2..Nikita gets his shoulder up. Jumbo picks Nikita up and executes a swinging neckbreaker, then tags in Tatsumi. Tatsumi goes to the top rope and crashes down with a knee drop 1..2..Kick Out. Hogan slowly rises and hops on the apron. Hogan and the fans cheer Nikita on. Tatsumi swings Nikita to the ropes and goes for a back drop, but Nikita leap frogs over, swings off the ropes and comes back with a flying shoulder tackle that takes Tatsumi down. Jumbo helps Tatsumi out if there. Then they both help Stevens to the back. Hogan and Nikita are standing tall. Wait a minute! Out walks COL. DEBEERS. He strolls around the ring twirling his mustache. Hogan sees him and demands he gets into the ring. Debeers smiles and points behind Hogan. Hogan turns around WHAM! WHAT THE HELL?!?! Nikita Koloff puts Hogan down with a Russian Sickle!!!! The crowd goes into a stunned silence. Debeers pulls something out from under the ring. It's Nikita's old Russian chain. Debeers goes into the ring and hands Nikita the chain. Nikita wraps the chain around his arm. Debeers picks up Hogan and holds him as Nikita gives Hogan another Russian Sickle with the chain wrapped around his arm. Hogan is a bloody mess. The show ends with Nikita and Debeers shaking hands over a lifeless Hulk Hogan.
  19. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 11-15-89 The show starts with a promo package for NO HOLDS BARRED, THE MOVIE/THE MATCH! The pay per view takes place tomorrow night. Viewers will get to watch Hulk Hogan's movie No Holds Barred. Afterwards, from the St. Paul Civic Center, you will see the big tag team match as AWA World Champ Hulk Hogan and Nikita Koloff take on Jumbo Tsuruta and Tatsumi Fujinami with Ray Stevens in their corner. Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. So much happening tonight, so let's get to the action. Sweet Brown Sugar vs. Dream Machine Last week Gerry Morrow announced a series of one on one matches. He also said that if there's any interference, people will be banned from the AWA. Also, the winners of the matches will get the full share of the money while the loser walks away with no pay for the night. This particular match has quite the history. Dream and Sugar were actually catching on with the fans during their time as Sweet Dreams until Dream turned on Sugar and joined the All-Stars. The bell rings and Dream charges but gets back dropped. Commercial Break Latin Desire vs. Todd Rooney and Stu Jersky The Perez brothers are in sync tonight. The finish sees Al execute a helicopter drop as Lou follows with a bridging back suplex for the win. Nelson: Well Al it looks like you've taken your brother under your wing. Al: That's right I did. Lou just needed a little guidance. I told him to forget about these fans and focus on this team. I mean look at us Larry. Are we hot or what? Lou: Al's got a point. We're definitely the best looking tag team, now all we need is some gold. Commercial Break AWA International Champ 'The Red Rooster' Terry Taylor vs. Sam Smith Taylor spends a lot of time strutting around between wrestling moves. He finishes things off with the flying five arm. Nelson: Ok Terry, in 2 weeks right here on TV, you will be defending your title in a rematch with Leo Burke. Taylor: (Slicks back his ponytail) Really? Again? I beat that guy fair and square in Alaska and he gets a rematch? Nelson: I wouldn't exactly call it fair. That's why Leo is getting a rematch. Taylor: You talk too much Nelson. Look, I run this henhouse and this title proves it. Fine, I'll beat loser Leo again, no problem, because like I've said, I walk it like I talk it. Only this time it will be for the AWA National tag titles. Gerry Morrow made this decision after the Rock n Roll Express relinquished these titles last week. Nelson: OK Fantastics, in a wild turn of events, the RnR Express relinquished the National titles to go after the world titles. As of now that means they will face you two at SuperClash. What's your thoughts on all this? Fulton: Hey, we have the upmost respect for the Rock n Roll Express and everything they've achieved. However, we think they made a big mistake giving up the National titles. Rogers: That's right. You know, Bobby and I went through hell with the Guerreros to get these titles and we've been taking on all comers since. RnR seem to think they're going to simply take these from us at SuperClash. Think again! Fulton: It's not going to happen. We're looking forward to matching skills but in the end, the Fantastics are going to show the world just who the best team in wrestling is. 20. After that Road Warriors segment, Arn and Tully might be rethinking things. YES! Flair and Harley one more time! This is what Starrcade is all about. I would say 2 Cold definitely earned his shot at the gold. Another gem match at Starrcade. Things got nuts and then went up another level when Kamala came out. Looks like another great set up for Starrcade. The NWA is on fire and Starrcade is shaping up to be one of the best cards of the year.
  21. Blockbuster announcement with the merger. Big things ahead for 1990! Jimmy Hart thinks JJ is behind the fireball, but I'm not so sure Nothing like a southern family feud. Golden's right, this could get bloody. We'll have to wait and see if Elvira comes back out with Rogers. Loving DWB's injury angle. This is heading for a fun blow off. Awesome segment with Lance, Tojo, Goto and SGT. SLAUGHTER! Things went from terrifying to satisfying real quick. Can't wait for the bootcamp match! I have a feeling Dutch will still find a way to use shoo baby. Wrestlewar is going to set the tone for the USWA!
  22. Jake isn't messing around by bringing in Bundy. Rude gets a little payback for the busted nose Andre gave him. I'm sure Bossman and Zeus will get their big moment at SS. Looking forward to two powerhouse teams like Demolition and the Skyscrapers going at it. Poor Virgil Muta and Tito tear the house down while Savage and Funk's melee causes a lot of chaos.
  23. We'll see if Iron and Steal can tame Cactus. WOW! Huge announcement from Hall, but man that cage match with Awesome is going to be, well, awesome. Condrey sends Lynn an early message. Hmmmmm, what's up with Sinister and Beetlejuice. I don't think Riggins head is in the game right now. Dibiase and Williams are such a cohesive unit. Cow Palace, Starr gets in some shots, but Douglas is fired up for Cornette's men. Rhodes is trying, but Gordy's just too much. Thanks to Tina, Rose racks up another. Albright's been taking the champs to the limit Can't wait for Hart and Austin in the cage. Young's been making a name for himself. Fresno, Adams wins a battle, but more to come. Smothers put up a fight, but Severn prevails Lynn comes back hard Hall's tuned up and ready for Awesome Man, Eddie and Dean could be holding tag gold next year. Regal ducks nobody. He's having a nice run
  24. It's so great to have you back! It's also great to have Florida back in the game. I'm sure you'll set the territory on fire. New Breed is the team to watch. It's Florida, so you have to have Humperdink and Kabuki. Dory brings immediate credibility. COOL! Can't wait to see Precious and Jimmy Jam strut their stuff. A lot of big name teams gunning for the gold. Hahahaha love Cannonball's new persona. Fits well here. I always liked writing for Afi. This is a place he could really shine. Thanks to Kabuki's deadly mist, Humperdink's men steal the main event. Looking forward to the crowning of the first champ. I can see a few names holding the strap. This is going to be a lot of fun.

As you know there's been a lot of bad blood between de All-Stars and Armstrong, Parsons, Sugar, Beefcake and Muraco. I thought dis would be over at War Games but I guess I thought wrong. Boos as the All-Stars storm out. Idol: Gerry! Gerry! Gerry! Darling, this has gotten way out of control and we've had enough. You saw what they did to Glamour Doll last week! Because of that I couldn't concentrate on my world title bout with that wannabe Austin Idol, Hulk Hogan. Those jerks are sore losers and they went way to far! We want them out of the AWA! The All-Stars are nodding and yelling at Morrow. Morrow: Ok, just relax boys. Here is what I am going to do. There will be a series of one on one matches. However, I want both sides to know, if there is any outside interference, then I will kick them out of de AWA for good. So, here are de match ups. Austin Idol vs. Bob Armstrong. Dream Machine vs. Sweet Brown Sugar. Brian Adias vs. Brutus Beefcake. Chicky Starr vs. Iceman Parsons. Bill Dundee vs. Don Muraco. Dundee: Hold on Gerry! I want my superstar name back! Morrow: Hahahaha but of course. I'll have some fun with dis one. If you win de match Bill, you will get your Superstar name back. If Muraco wins, he will get a shot at de International title. As for de other matches, de winners will receive full share of de purse and de losers will get no money. Just a little added incentive hahahaha. Hopefully these matches will get it all out of your systems. We will start de matches next week. And remember, if there is any outside interference, people will be out of de AWA for good. Best of luck to all involved. Dream: We make our own luck babay! Commercial Break Tommy Jammer vs. Clinton Stitch Jammer slams Stitch, swings off the ropes and hits the California Splash for the win. But don't fret because Tommy Jammer is bringing California to you. Now, everybody is talking about SuperClash 4 the biggest pay per view of the year. Well, it's going to get bigger because I'm making sure I'll be there. That's right! I'm riding the tidal wave right into SuperClash. I've got an open contract to wrestle anybody. All you have to do is gather up some courage and sign your name on the dotted line. (looks at Nelson) Larry you need to relax a bit. Come on, hang loose brother. Resnick: Fans, SuperClash returns to the McNichols Arena in Denver Colorado on Friday January 3rd. As you know SuperClash is the AWA's flagship event and this year promises to be better than ever. Music sensation Pat Benatar will kick off the event singing America the Beautiful. As for the action, listen to this. The first match signed will be Paul Orndorff squaring off against Stan Hansen. As you all remember it was Hansen who reinjured Paul's neck at the Happening which led to Paul losing the International title to Terry Taylor just days later. That should be quite the grudge match. More news in the weeks to come. Commercial Break AWA National Tag Champs The RnR Express vs. Walter Sampson and Todd Rooney The fans cheer as RnR hit the double dropkick for the win. RnR hold up the National titles then stare at them for a bit. Nelson: Ricky and Robert, congratulations on winning the National tag titles. I know it must be a great feeling. Robert: It's unbelievable Larry. Winning these titles is a tremendous honor and we have the upmost respect for these titles. But we have an announcement to make. Tell em Ricky. Morton: Like Robert said, we have nothing but respect for these tremendous titles. It was an absolute honor and privilege to win these in Alaska. The thing is, we're gunning to be the very best here in the AWA and that means we have to win the World tag titles. We know the rules and the AWA says champions can't go after other titles unless they relinquish their current titles. So this is very bittersweet for us. We're hereby relinquishing the National titles to go after the world titles. Nelson: Wow, talk about a curveball. Gerry Morrow comes back out. Morrow: Gentlemen, are you absolutely sure you want to do dis? Morton: Yes Gibson: Yes Morrow: Ok den. I do respect your aspirations and you will get dat world title match. Boos as Col Debeers strolls out, twirling his mustache. Debeers stares up at Hogan. Hogan: Listen up Debeers! I don't know what your problem is, but you better steer clear of Nikita and myself. If you have something to say, get in this ring and say it to my face! Debeers keeps twirling his mustache, then casually turns around and walks away. Hogan: That's what I thought. Now, next week spells the end for Jumbo Tsuruta, Tatsumi Fujinami and that cockroach Ray Stevens! Stevens says Hulkamania is over but I say hell no!
