AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 3-28-90 Footage from last week is shown with Hulk Hogan and Stan Hansen brawling all over the arena. Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. After what you just watched, I've been told that Hulk Hogan and Stan Hansen cannot be in the same building until Champagne Slam. Stan Hansen will be here tonight. I've been told that Hulk Hogan will be right here, next week. Well, we're only 2 weeks away from Champagne Slam. On that note, joining me now with a very special announcement regarding Champagne Slam is the AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow. Brenda Britton comes out and snatches the mic from Nelson. Britton: Hit the bricks Nelson. Nelson rolls his eyes and walks away. Britton: Hi everybody! Please welcome out the AWA C.O.O. and creator of Champagne Slam, Gerry Morrow. Morrow walks out wearing a white suit and fedora hat. Britton: Ok Gerry, Champagne Slam is going to be an amazing event. Hulk Hogan defending the AWA world title against Stan Hansen. Two AWA tag team title bouts. The arrival of Ric Flair. And of course the Champagne Challenge. Two battle royals with the winners of each battle royal, wrestling for a world title shot at the biggest event of the year, WrestleRock 90. I can't believe this, but I hear there's been a special attraction match added. Morrow: Hahahahah, yes indeed Brenda. It appears that Verne Gagne contacted his old business partner and friend, Jerry Jarrett. De conclusion to that conversation is dis. At Champagne Slam, Curt Hennig will defend de USWA title against Jerry Lawler! Britton: What! Are you serious? A USWA title match at Champagne Slam? Unbelievable! Morrow: Incredible right? I am very excited for dis match and it makes Champagne Slam even more special. Britton: Oh my! Well, as always, it all happens here with me. Until next time, tooooodles! Commercial Break King Kong Bundy w/Greg Gagne vs. Albert Reyes Bundy hits the splash and gets the 5 count. Nelson: Greg, I want you and Bundy to hear these pre recorded comments from El Canek. Canek is standing in front of an AWA banner. His promo is subtitled. Canek: Greg Gagne has failed again and again and again to rid me from wrestling. Now he sends in a monster. Yes, he broke a rib, but I'm coming back and at Champagne Slam I'm coming after Bundy with a vengeance! When I toss him over the top rope on top of Gagne, I will go on to my quest for a world title match! Nelson: Well, there you have it Greg Gagne: (laughing) Is this a joke? Does that masked moron really think he's going to eliminate King Kong Bundy? (laughs again) I'm sorry, this is just too funny. Bundy: Canek! You just received a dose of what's in store for you in the battle royal. I'm going to throw you into the front row! That world title shot is all mine! Canek wont stop me and neither will anybody else! Commercial Break An advertisement is shown for this weekend's Royal Albert Hall card in London. The Soul Patrol vs. The Jive Tones w/Tiger Conway Jr. The Soul Patrol start off strong with some textbook tag wrestling. The tide turns when Conway trips Walker. Walker stumbles into a suplex by Young. The Jive Tones control this segment and really heel it up by breaking the rules along with constant double teaming. Walker survives and makes the tag to Jones. Jones cleans house and the Soul Patrol regain control. They stereo kick Whatley and double suplex him over. Young runs in and we've got a pier six brawl. The bell rings, signaling a 10 minute draw. Tempers flare but Conway calms his team down and exits. Conway is heard saying "We've got bigger things ahead" Commercial Break Footage from last week is shown as a returning Leo Burke gives Jimmy Golden a serious beating. Leo Burke vs. Trent Watkins The fans cheer as Burke clamps on the sleeper and wins the match. Nelson: Great to have you back Leo. You look better than ever. I know you'll be in the Champagne Challenge. I have to ask. Will your hatred for Jimmy Golden be a distraction? Burke: It's great to be back Larry. I have to admit, since Golden put me out of action by piledriving me on the concrete, all I've thought about was getting my hands on him. I did that last week but I don't think it's out of my system. So, I'm going to beat him up again in the battle royal, eliminate him and then focus on the world title shot. Burke exits Nelson: I don't know fans. It seems like a lot of wrestlers might be too focused on personal grudges in the Champagne Challenge. I guess we'll see how all this plays out. Commercial Break 'The Mighty Yankee' Steve Disalvo vs. 'The Future' JW Storm These two powerhouses have traded wins on TV and all over the loop. They continue their feud tonight. They go at it hard and hit each other with everything they have. After going toe to toe and pulling out all the power moves, Disalvo takes control and clotheslines Storm down. Disalvo picks up Storm and slams him down hard. Disalvo goes to the middle ropes and crashes down with a knee drop, but Storm moves. Disalvo staggers up and limps around. Storm kicks him low and hits a swinging neckbreaker 1..2..3! Storm wins this one, but they'll see each other again in the Champagne Challenge. Commercial Break Col. Debeers vs. Frank Colletti Debeers is still quite the heat magnet. He easily wins the match with a front face piledriver. Nelson: Debeers, I know you're in the Champagne Challenge, but I have to ask, what is your current relationship with Les Thornton? You costed Tony St. Clair his match with Johnny Smith and St. Clair says your next after Smith. Debeers: It's all very simple, even for a low class peasant like you and all these untouchables out here. Mr. Thornton and I had a business arrangement. He helped me and I helped him. If Tony St. Clair has a problem with how we do business, then he can try and do something about it. But I'm not concerned with the little things. I'm concerned with winning the Champagne Challenge and getting my rightful shot at the AWA world title. That's been my mission here and I will soon accomplish that mission. Commercial Break We see a montage of the RnR Express/Destruction Crew story, followed by Champagne Slam promos. The RnR Express will defend the AWA world tag titles against the Destruction Crew at Champagne Slam. Commercial Break AWA International Champ 'The Red Rooster' Terry Taylor and the AWA National Tag Champs Latin Desire vs. Carlos Colon and The Mavericks This match is balls to the walls. It's a fast paced, roller coaster ride that keeps the fans on the edges of their seats. The Mavericks are still pissed at Latin Desire for nailing them with the title belts last week and it shows in this match. Colon and Taylor get in some nice exchanges. Colon frustrates Taylor and Taylor quickly tags out to Lou. Lou comes in as Colon tags in Embry. Embry is all over Lou. Al runs in but Young runs in and drops him with a punch. Taylor tries to enter but Colon takes care of him. Embry clamps a headlock on Lou, punches him several times on the head and executes a running bulldog 1..2..3! BIG POP! Commercial Break Nelson: (deep breath) At Champagne Slam, Hulk Hogan will defend the AWA world title against this man, Stan Hansen. Hansen storms down the aisle waving his bull rope and cowbell around. He enters the ring and pushes Nelson down, then grabs the mic. Hansen: Hogan! Get ready boy! At Champagne Slam, I'm going give you an ass whipp'n you'll never forget! I don't play mind games and I tell it like it is! Nobody has beaten me in the AWA and you certainly wont. That means the world title will be mine! So why don't you go back to making stupid little movies and let a real man like me defend the world title! At Champagne Slam, I'm walking out with the world title and there aint a damn thing anybody can do about it! Hansen throws the mic down and flashes the bullhorn sign

Man I can't wait for the Bossman/Nailz explosive match up Love the split screen promos. Quick and effective. Santana and Bravo might steal the show at Mania Looks like Warrior wont have to worry about Zeus at Mania. We'll see if Slick can get out of this jam. I'm liking the Samoan Headhunters. Hopefully they get on the Mania card Looks like someone big and bad is coming to the WWF Silver King and Prichard get in some nice showcases The Free for All is a nice little added bonus to bring in some Mania buys Bees get a big win over Badd Co. I could watch these teams wrestle over and over. The Road to Mania has been an exciting ride.

Grappler says there's only room for one mask man while Orndorff says he has the best piledriver. I love these seeds being planted. Poor Chris Von Erich doesn't get a warm welcome into pro wrestling. I'm sure this will fire up Kerry for a shot at Hennig. Once again Rogers gets under the skin of an opponent. This time it's Sam Houston. Budro gets blasted with the discus punch. Dirty Dutch better have Gaylord's money The Southern Boys have to be considered tournament favorites Prop to Fuller. The man can still generate heat Dundee takes advantage of the distraction and retains Great way to introduce the Kentucky Cup winners. These guys get some good buzz by embarrassing the Freebirds. Doesn't hurt to have Doom on your side either. The Lawler/Savage/Gilbert/Slater story keeps getting better. The slow burn with Slater has been so well done.

Sting's on the comeback trail but it looks like Gary Hart and his goons want to spoil it. Luger has his plate full with both Muta and Koloff. Good thing he has a friend in Pillman. Garvin and Martel is one of my favorite feuds in the game right now. Can't wait for the lights out match It looks like Rotunda needs some guidance. Pillman gets in Luger's face as Sting plays peacemaker. Things are getting more interesting.

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 3-21-90 Footage is shown from last week's press conference and the earth shattering arrival of Ric Flair. Flair will make his AWA debut at Champagne Slam. Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. AWA World Champion, Hulk Hogan will be here. His Champagne Slam opponent Stan Hansen will be in action. So much going on, so lets get to the ring. The Destruction Crew vs. Jay Jackson and Clive Coleman The Destruction Crew work over their opponents and finish things off with the Wrecking Ball. Nelson: Ok boys, a couple of weeks ago you attacked the RnR Express with sledge hammers and costed them their match. Well now the champions have issued the challenge and will defend their titles against you at Champagne Slam. It should be noted that they did defeat you at Title Night last month. Do I detect sour grapes? Enos: Oh very funny Nelson. Bloom: Hang on Mike, I got this. We came into the AWA and immediately proved why we're the best team in wrestling by winning the contenders tournament. Then those two wimpy punks pulled off the fluke of a lifetime. Listen up RnR. The Destruction Crew is done playing games and we showed you how serious we are. Those titles belong to us and at Champagne Slam, we're taking them! Commercial Break Bobby Blaze vs. King Kahlua These two keep their feud going and go at it at a fever pace. Blaze's gets on a roll with dropkicks, hip tosses and take overs. Kahlua comes back with hard chops, thrusts, and slams. Blaze comes back and vertical suplexes Kahlua. Blaze goes to the top rope and comes down with a knee drop but Kahlua moves. Kahlua stomps away on Blaze and hoists him up for a suplex but Blaze fights it and executes a small package 1..2..3! Blaze wins this battle but I think the war will rage on. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, I'm here with the Lionheart, Tony St. Clair. Tony, I know you will be in the Champagne Challenge, but before that, you will be facing Johnny Smith, next week at the Royal Albert Hall. It also seems that Les Thornton cashed in a favor from Col Debeers as he costed you your match with Smith last week. Tony: That's a lot to take in. I'll definitely be in the Champagne Challenge and I'm set on getting a world title shot. Col Debeers, rest assured I'll be dealing with you. But first on the list is you Johnny Smith. Next week we're going to wrestle in our homeland and that's exactly where I want to finish things with you. The homecoming wont be a sweet one for both Smith and Thornton. Nelson: There you have it. I've been told that cameras will be rolling in London, so we'll have highlights from that big show. Speaking of that. Last week, the Swords of Light were brutally attacked in the locker room. It was no surprise that the Starrs were behind that attack. They were heard bragging about it and camera footage confirmed it was them. The Starrs were going to be suspended, but the Swords of Light said no way and signed to face them at the Royal Albert Hall card. Wow, talk about a grudge match. Ok, we'll be right back. Commercial Break The Takano Dragons vs. The Commission Both these teams are vying for a tag title shot. The Commission break all the rules and bring the pain to the Takanos. The Takanos come back with a vengeance. Shunji puts his power to good use while George brings in the high octane offense. The Commission show off their toughness and almost score a pin with a double slam/double fist drop. The Takanos make a roaring comeback but the bell rings, signaling a 10 minute draw. Tempers flare after the match and I'm sure these teams will meet again. Commercial Break Nelson: Well, as you just witnessed, the tag team scene in the AWA is beyond competitive. On that note, my guests at this time will be getting a National tag title shot at Champagne Slam. Here comes the Mavericks. Embry and Young walk out wearing matching silver jackets with Maverick horses on the back. BOOOOOS as Latin Desire walk out. Nelson: Hold on guys, this is the Mavericks time. Lou: Relax Larry, we come in peace. Al: That's right. Look, we know the Mavericks are gunning for these titles. You guys want a good look at these titles? Go ahead and take a look. Latin Desire hit both Mavericks over their heads with the titles! Nelson: Enough! Lou: You boys want a shot at these titles? Al: There you go! Latin Desire walk away laughing while the Mavericks are laid out. Commercial Break Jimmy 'The Stud' Golden vs. Mr. B Golden gets in the ring and laughs at his masked opponent. Before the bell rings, the masked man tackles Golden and just starts pounding away on his head. The Ref tries to get order but the Mr. B keeps pounding away. Mr. B jumps up and rips off his mask. It's Leo Burke!!! The fans are up and cheering as Burke hammers away on Golden. Burke hurls Golden to the outside. Burke follows and swings Golden into the steel post. Golden is bleeding. Burke picks up Golden and slams his bloody face on the apron. Burke clamps on a headlock and punches away on Golden's head. Burke releases the headlock as Golden collapses. Officials come out as Burke raises his fist to the cheering fans. Commercial Break Nelson: Leo Burke is back! I can't say I feel too sorry for Golden. After all, he put Leo out of action for a long time by piledriving him on the concrete. I've just been told that Leo Burke will be in the Champagne Challenge and I'm sure he'll be gunning for Golden, that is if Golden will be able to compete. Ok, let's get to the ring. 'The Mighty Yankee' Steve Disalvo vs. 'The Future' JW Storm Here's another feud that hasn't been settled yet. These two powerhouses slug it out and give each other some stiff shots. Disalvo puts Storm down with a thunderous clothesline and works him over. Storm comes back after Disalvo goes for a body splash but Storm got his knees up. Storm almost puts Disalvo away with a rib breaker but Disalvo stays alive. Storm swings Disalvo into the corner and goes for a corner splash but Disalvo moves. As Storm wobbles back, Disalvo executes a back slide 1..2..3! Storm kicks out a half a second too late. Storm's pissed while Disalvo's pumped. Commercial Break Footage from last week is shown as David Samartino wins the AWA TV title. After the match, Jim Neidhart gives Sammartino a hard lowblow kick. Nelson: With me now is the new AWA TV champ, David Sammartino. Congratulations David, but I'm sure the Anvil left a sour taste in your mouth. Sammartino: Winning this title means everything to me. But Larry, you're right. I don't want any doubts in the fans minds about the credibility of my win. Which is why I'm going to put this title on the line against Jim Neidhart at the Royal Albert Hall next week. Get ready Anvil, because my win wasn't a fluke and you're going to pay for your actions! Commercial Break Stan Hansen vs. Carl Kellrman Hansen storms to the ring and immediately attacks Kellerman. Hansen destroys his opponent and easily wins the match with his lariat. Hansen picks up Kellerman and hits him with another lariat! Hansen just starts stomping away on poor Kellerman. The place goes nuts as HULK HOGAN runs into the ring. Hogan clotheslines Hansen! Hansen rolls out of the ring. Hogan follows. Hansen shakes the cobwebs and goes toe to toe with Hogan. Both men fight around the ring and into the crowd! Security goes into the crowd but Hogan and Hansen just keep fighting. Fans scurry away. Security is getting tossed all around. Hogan and Hansen keep punching each other. The show ends with this chaotic scene.

WrestleMania is really shaping up. Hacksaw vs. The Raging Bull is going to be a true southern style brawl. I'll never get tired of watching Funk and Dusty go at it. And now they get to do it on the biggest platform. Jake's great. You just never know what his true intentions are. I'm liking this set up between him and KVE. Haynes is very confident in challenging Vader. Be careful what you wish for. Snuka and Haku will be a great collision. Slick's on very thin ice with Brown. He better watch himself. Excellent job building to Mania.

PCW better beware because the Monster is back Strange is right, but man this 3 way feud is interesting Wow! Busick takes a beating but will this be enough to keep the bully down. Vito shows he can go at it solo Sarge is still pretty damn tough Scotty's giving the TV title a lot of shine Portland, PCO has Adams number Awesome keeps mowing over the competition The Thrillseekers have given new life to the Brigade YES! Hart's a smart man bringing in Iron and Steel to help fight the terror No doubt about it, Dibiase and Steamboat are ready for each other Eugene, The Money Train aren't letting go of their trios titles anytime soon Thanks to the Monster, Victory gets the victory FOJ comeback with a win Without the Monster, Tatum wasn't as lucky as Jack Malenko has a lot of submission moves in his arsenal Barr and Azul close out the night with another LHW thriller

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 3-14-90 AWA Owner Verne Gagne is standing at a podium. AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow, Brenda Britton and several committee members are seated up front on both sides of the podium. Press and Media members are in the audience. Verne: I would like to welcome everybody to this very special press conference. The AWA has made a tremendous acquisition and today we would like too officially welcome him to the AWA. I said last week that this man will be a game changer for the AWA and in a moment I'm sure you all will agree. So, please welcome out a former multi time world champion, Ric Flair! Ric Flair walks out looking slick in a new suit. Flashes from cameras light up the room. Flair shakes hands with Verne, Morrow and Britton. Flair walks up to the podium and takes off his sunglasses. Flair: Thank you very much Verne and all those in attendance and watching at home. I'm going to get straight to the point. I'm here for one reason and one reason only, to win the AWA world title. That means I'm gunning for you Hulk Hogan. Wherever I go, I win world titles. That's because I'm the most premier dominant athlete in professional wrestling. I'm Ric Flair, I'm custom made from head to toe. I get the job done in and out of the ring. The task at hand is winning the AWA world title. That starts at Champagne Slam. I'm going to win the Champagne Challenge and then it's off to WrestleRock, where I will win the AWA world title. So, Hulk Hogan, you better get ready, because Ric Flair's here and the world title will soon be around my waist. See you all at Champagne Slam! WHOOOOO! Commercial Break Carlos Colon vs. Trent Watkins Colon returns to the AWA from a successful tour of Puerto Rico. The fans are happy to see him. Colon wins the match with a flying clothesline from the top rope. Nelson informs everybody that Colon will be in the Champagne Challenge. Colon cuts a promo and says he's excited to be back and is geared up to win the Champagne Challenge. Commercial Break The Renegade Warriors vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez Chris hoists Lopez up in a suplex position as Mark hits a flying press to get the win. Nelson announces that both Renegade Warriors will be in the Champagne Challenge. Commercial Break 'Lionheart' Tony St. Clair vs. 'The British Bomber' Johnny Smith w/Les Thornton These two have been feuding for a while and go at it tonight. We see several European uppercut and forearm exchanges. Smith takes control with some bruising power moves. St. Clair comes back with a variety of suplexes. Wait a minute! Col. Debeers walks up and strolls around the ring. Thornton gets on the apron and distracts the Ref as St. Clair has Smith up in a hanging suplex position. Debeers reaches in and trips St. Clair. The Ref runs over and counts as Debeers holds St. Clair's boots 1..2..3! BOOOOOO! I guess Thornton cashed in on that favor pretty quick. Commercial Break Brutus Beefcake vs. Neil Jordan Beefcake wins the match with a running high knee. Nelson: Brutus, I'm sure you heard Nell's words last week regarding the Champagne Challenge. Beefcake: OOOOHHH I heard them, but words don't mean a damn thing. Hangman, you're the prey, because in the battle royal, I'm coming for you! But before Champagne Slam, we have a match at the Royal Albert Hall. I hope you're prepared Nell, because now that I think about it, Hangman might not make it to Champagne Slam. Commercial Break Footage is shown from the Brown County Coliseum as Buzz Sawyer runs into the ring and attacks Cactus Jack. Cactus Jack vs. Todd Rooney Jack has a band aid on his head from Sawyer's attack. Jack wins the match with a double arm DDT. Nelson: Cactus, what is it with you and Sawyer? When will this be enough? Jack: It's enough when the fun stops. At Champagne Slam, Buzz and I are going to have a lot more fun. Bang! Bang! Commercial Break Don 'The Rock' Muraco w/Superstar Graham vs. William Hillman Muraco wins the match with an inverted piledriver. Nelson: Ok Don, you and Jumbo Tsuruta will both be in the Champagne Challenge, but before that, you guys will go one on one at the Royal Albert Hall in 2 weeks. Muraco: I hear Stevens and Jumbo are upset that I got the win at Title Night and spoiled all their plans. Well, too bad! If Jumbo wants another match, bring it on! Graham: That's right Donnie! We're taking them down in England and then Donnie baby is going to win the Champagne Challenge and get his deserved world title match. Commercial Break The Rock n Roll Express are standing in front of an AWA banner. They look pretty banged up from the sledgehammer attack courtesy of the Destruction Crew last week. Morton: Ok Destruction Crew, you got our attention now! If your plan was to get another shot at these world tag titles, nicely played because you got it! Robert: Destruction Crew, we'll see you at Champagne Slam! Commercial Break AWA International Champ 'The Red Rooster' Terry Taylor vs. Carl Kellerman Taylor's as arrogant as ever and wins the match with the flying 5 arm. Nelson: Fans, even the champions will be in the Champagne Challenge. That includes you Terry. Taylor: Well of course I'm going to be in the Champagne Challenge. How long have I been saying that I run this henhouse. Well, at Champagne Slam, all the little chickens will be in the henhouse and it's time for the Red Rooster to show them who's boss. After that, it's on to WrestleRock and that's when the Red Rooster will crow. Commercial Break Footage is shown form last week as Hulk Hogan and Stan Hansen beat the hell out of each other. Nelson: Fans, before we get to our TV title bout, I want to inform you that both Stan Hansen and AWA world champion Hulk Hogan will be here next week. As you all know, they're heading for a showdown at Champagne Slam. Ok, we're set for our...wait a second. I'm being told there's a commotion in the back The camera goes to the back. Gama Singh and Konnan are laid out and bleeding. Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, I'm still stunned by what we just saw. Konnan will not be able to compete for the TV title tonight. I've been told that the AWA will conduct an investigation on what happened. Very unfortunate turn of events. Joining me now is the TV champ Jim Neidhart. Jim, you're not obligated to defend your title tonight, but I've been told that you are more than willing to defend it. So, a name will be drawn to determine who you will face. Jim: Let's do this baby! Nelson: (draws out the name) Ok, you will be defending the TV title against David Sammartino. AWA TV Title Bout Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart (C) vs. David Samartino These guys give the fans a stiff but clean match. David takes control as he puts Anvil down with a back elbow smash. The promos are setting things up nicely for Mania POP and Demolition are heading for an explosive pay off at Mania Funk makes Dusty bleed. Things got real. Get ready WWF, because Funk and Dusty are getting down one more time.

AWA @ The Brown County Coliseum, WI 3-9-90 'Lionheart' Tony St. Clair defeated a Local Talent with a floating butterfly suplex King Kaluha vs. Boby Blaze These two keep their rivalry going. They give the fans a fun back and forth encounter. Blaze seems like he's going to take it, but Kaluha gets in a cheap lowblow followed by a thrust to the throat for the win. The Renegade Warriors vs. The Takano Dragons In a rare babyface vs. babyface match, these teams give the fans a clean and fast paced contest. They wrestle to a 10 minute draw and shake hands afterwards. 'The Mighty Yankee' Steve Disalvo vs. 'The Future' JW Storm These guys just don't like each other but it appears they like each other's style because sunglasses and a leather jacket have been involved in this feud. It's a straight up power match. Both men show off their impressive strength. In the end, Disalvo goes for a flying shoulder tackle from the middle ropes but Storm dodges it. Disalvo staggers up as Storm nails with a spere tackle for the win. Cactus Jack vs. Jimmy 'The Stud' Golden This is pretty much a brawl. After a few minutes of fighting, Jack gets the upper hand and puts Golden down with a double arm DDT. BUZZ SAWYER hits the ring in street clothes and attacks Cactus Jack. The Ref signals for the DQ. Golden staggers up and gives Jack a few stomps before leaving and letting Buzz do his thing. The Power Twins vs. Good Vibrations w/The Vin Man This match was basically all Power Twins as they pinballed Good Vibrations all over the ring. However, Vinnie was able to nail David with a foreign object which allowed Jammer to cover him for the tainted win. Vinnie has a Superbowl like celebration. AWA International Title Bout 'The Red Rooster' Terry Taylor vs. David Sammartino In a rematch from Title Night, David gave Taylor all he could handle. Taylor has his moments and looks crisp. David makes a huge comeback and keeps the fans on the edges of their seats with a series of near falls. David gets too excited and charges Taylor in the corner, but Taylor gets his knees up and David crashes right into them. As David staggers up, Taylor swings off the ropes and hits his flying 5 arm for the win.

I love all the storylines going on in WCW. Tully and JJ. The world title picture with Luger, Nikita, Muta and even on crutches, Sting. Then there's the awesome mid card feuds going on like Martel and Garvin. I can't wait to see how all this unfolds. You're also doing a great job building stars like Hall, Pillman, Owen, Tatanka and Nash. Not to mention the vets like Race, Orton, JYD and Rich still in the mix. Something for everyone in WCW

You won't want to miss this. Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. The AWA world champ Hulk Hogan will be here tonight! The Mavericks will wrestle the Jive Tones for a National tag team title shot at Champagne Slam. The two names drawn for this week's TV title contender's match are Ron Starr and Konnan. Those two have had some recent altercations. Ken Patera once again faces Tom Brandi. Col Debeers, Johnny Smith and the Commission take on the AWA world tag champs the RnR Express and the Soul Patrol. Ok, let's get to the ring. Winner gets an AWA TV Title shot next week Ron Starr vs. Konnan Each team costed the other team a loss in the recent tag tournament. Things have gotten heated and it shows in this match as they go at it. Starr breaks all the rules and heels it up big time. Konnan comes back with some Lucha moves that frustrates Starr. Chicky Starr comes out and distracts Konnan which allows Ron to take control. Gama Singh comes out and pounds away on Chicky. Commercial Break King Kong Bundy w/Greg Gagne vs. Trent Watkins Gagne looks on in delight as Bundy pummels his opponent and finishes things off with the Avalanche in the corner followed by a big splash and the mandatory 5 count. Nelson: Ok on April 12th at the Market Square Arena, the AWA presents Champagne Slam. Two battle royals. The winner of each battle royal will wrestle for a world title shot at WrestleRock 90. Gerry Morrow calls this the Champagne Challenge. Gagne and Bundy walk over Nelson: Greg, I know Bundy is in the Challenge, but so is El Canek. Gagne: So what? If that masked moron is stupid enough to show up at the Challenge, then bring it on. My man Bundy will put him on the shelve for good! Bundy: And that goes for anybody else who gets in my way! That title shot is all mine! Commercial Break 'Thrilling' Tom Brandi vs. Ken Patera w/Brad Rheingans Patera is a man possessed as he overwhelms Brandi with a series of power moves. Patera starts to get pissed because he can't put Brandi away. Patera distracts the Ref as Rheingans chokes Brandi on the bottom rope. The Ref turns around and warns Rheingans. Rheingans hops on the apron and argues with the Ref. Patera hoists Brandi up and applies the full nelson. Brandi lifts his legs and pushes himself off Rheingans and falls back on top of Patera 1..2..3! Patera releases the full nelson and gets up. Brandi slides out of the ring as the Olympians throw a tantrum when they hear the decision. Brandi 2. Patera 0 Commercial Break The Hangman w/Nell vs. Todd Rooney Hangman obliterates his opponent. Nell gives him a slow nod. Hangman hits the Hangman's neckbreaker and it's all over. Nelson: (very nervous) Nell, the Hangman will be in the Champagne Challenge but I'm sure Brutus Beefcake will be looking for him. Nell: The Hangman is coming to the Challenge and will indeed eliminate all those poor lost souls. As for Brutus Beefcake, I'm afraid his time has come. And Larry, you might be on borrowed time. The Hangman (with his noose in hand) walks up to Larry and Larry runs away. Commercial Break There's an advertisement for the AWA returning to the Royal Albert Hall in London on Saturday March 29th. AWA World Tag Team Champs the RnR Express and the Soul Patrol vs. Col. Debeers/'The British Bomber' Johnny Smith w/Les Thornton and The Commission This match is balls to the walls! Everybody gets in their moments and the fans are invested. After a wild back and forth battle, a pier six brawl breaks out and the Ref takes a bump. The Commission and Soul Patrol fight to the outside. Smith and Gibson fight in the corner. Morton is firing up on Debeers. Wait a minute! The Destruction Crew hit the ring with sledgehammers! Bloom nails Gibson. Enos takes out Morton. They leave. Debeers picks up a lifeless Morton and gives him a front face piledriver. Smith wakes up the Ref and pushes him over. The Ref counts 1..2..3! BOOOOOOO Commercial Break Winners get a National Tag Title Shot at Champagne Slam The Mavericks vs. The Jive Tones w/Tiger Conway Jr. A lot of heat in this match and a lot on the line. Mavericks start strong and give the Jive Tones a good beating. Thanks to a distraction by Conway, the Jive Tones come back. They work Gary over pretty good and almost get the pin with a double Russian Leg Sweep. Gary eventually makes the hot tag to Embry. Embry is fired up and cleans house. Conway gets on the apron, but Embry slingshots him into the ring. The Jive Tones charge towards Embry. Gary runs in and tackles Skip. Embry double clotheslines Conway and Whatley. Embry covers Whatley 1..2..3!! Big Pop! Commercial Break Ken Resnick: Fans, please welcome out the AWA world champion, the Immortal Hulk Hogan! The fans jump up as Eye of the Tiger blasts and Hogan storms out, slapping hands with the fans. Hogan enters the ring and holds his title high while the fans go nuts. Resnick: Hulk, you've survived and overcame some serious challenges lately. However, you have a big challenge coming at Champagne Slam. You'll be defending the AWA title against Stan Hansen. He might be your biggest challenge yet. Hulk: Well you know something Killer Ken, I've taking down monsters, giants, wrecking machines, nightmares and Colonel's brother! And now I have to deal with an outlaw, the biggest outlaw in wrestling. Stan Hansen has taken down everyone in his path here in the AWA. But Stan Hansen, you haven't face the power of Hulkamania brother! There's a big commotion as Stan Hansen barges into the ring. He grabs the mic from Resnick. Hansen: Let me tell you something Hulk Hogan. You've been ducking me for way to long boy! I've seen who you've beaten and there's a big difference from them and me! They all liked to hit you from behind. Well, I'll hit you head on! Hansen hits Hogan! Hansen pounds away on Hogan. Resnick gets in the way and Hansen hurls him across the ring. Hogan regroups and fires back on Hansen. Both men go toe to toe with some hard hitting punches. Officials and prelim wrestlers storm the ring. It's chaos as the show ends.

We're on the road to WrestleMania! I'm looking forward to seeing what you have planned for the Genius. Whatever ensues, I'm sure Jake will find his way to Mania Cool seeing the Fantastics pop up here The Zeus story is intriguing and we'll see how this plays out in the Mania world title match Whose man enough to try and take the crown from Haku. This is the push he should have got IRL. Nice job Eagles and Russians in a flag match at Mania. Classic Oh man, I think we're going to see Quake and Andre one on one at Mania! The Commonwealth get their big shot on the grandest stage When the champ issues the challenge, he isn't messing around. I've loved this feud.

Cool venue for the UWF. They're really expanding the brand. The Dutch have some good fighters. No doubt Vrij got the biggest reaction. I'm sure the Dutch fans got a thrill watching Maeda in action.

The promos set the SNME tone and we're ready to go! Wow, Tito couldn't have picked a better partner to deal with Earthquake. Fun 8 man tag to kick things off with Tito's team getting the hot win. This match got the crowd going. Whoa, what's Jake doing here? Damn, Slick's right, Zeus earned his money tonight. Warrior's in bad shape Kevin gives Heenan and Rude a real scare, but Rude edges out the win. Warrior got the worst part of this deal. Jake's the master of being evasive lol Nailz put a hurting on Bossman. We'll see how Bossman recovers from this. Awesome southern tag ends the night. Dusty takes advantage of Funk's miscue to get the win. I hoping we get Dusty and Funk, one on one. Next stop, WrestleMania!

Gaylord made a smart move coming back to Memphis. This is a place he can thrive. It didn't take long for the Southern Boys to get over with the fans Man, it's great seeing Orndorff back in the game. I'm all for a battle of piledrivers match with Lawler Jarrett better give Fuller what he wants because the fans will want to pay to see him lol The Taker team is bringing the eeriness to Memphis I'm already buying a ticket to next week's show to watch Dundee and Dutch fight everywhere Dustin looks great but I think Lance accidently fired up Savage Memphis+Main Event=Chaos. Love the slow burn storyline with Slater. What's really going on in Hennig's mind. Another wild week in Memphis

Liked the description of Battleground. Sometimes these types of matches are better on paper, but hey, it gave these guys something to do Owen and Bulldog give it their all but the heels heel it up to retain. I liked this match up Hall's getting the superstar push Rich was fired up but damn, so was Garvin. I'm loving this feud Sherri has her Skyscrapers looking unbeatable Muta and Liger might've stole the show. Muta retains and has eyes on the world title Pillman upsets Arn. This win will catapult Pillman in a big way Wow, I thought Muta and Liger stole the show but I think the Rockers and RW's upstaged them. It seems the Rockers are the fan favorites here after that decision. Bring on the rematch Watch out WCW, Nikita's on the rampage! Luger finally gets his solidifying world title moment. Sting proves he's a great friend as Luger finally gets the best of Flair.

Power Twins cut a promo and say they can't wait to knock over Good Vibrations and the Pinhead Man...again. Commercial Break Highlights are shown from last week when King Kong Bundy attacked El Canek. Nelson informs us that Canek broke a rib but will be in the Champagne Challenge as will King Kong Bundy. The Olympians come out. Nelson: Can I help you guys? Rheingans: Just stand there and hold the mic! Tell them Ken. Patera: Last week that punk Tom Brandi got the biggest fluke win of his pathetic life. Brandi! You and me, next week! Get ready punk because I'm going to rip you apart! Commercial Break The Mavericks and Bobby Blaze vs. The Jive Tones and King Kaluah w/Tiger Conway Jr. A lot of heat in the ring. The match starts off with a pier six brawl and we get several more during the match. After a see saw segment, another brawl breaks out. Kaluah and Blaze fight on the outside. Whatley and Gary Young fight to the outside also. The Ref is distracted by the outside fighting. Inside the ring, Embry puts Skip Young down with a running bulldog, but Conway runs in with a chair and blasts Embry. Conway rolls out of the ring. Skip puts his arm over Embry as the Ref runs over and counts 1..2..3! BOOOOOOO Commercial Break 'The British Bomber' Johnny Smith w/Les Thornton vs. Carl Kellerman Smith easily wins the match with a Superplex. As Thornton and Smith go to ringside, thundering boos hit as Col Debeers walks out. Debeers shakes hands with Thornton and Smith. Nelson: Col Debeers, what are you doing out here? Debeers: Last week, everybody witnessed a true atrocity when that weak champion Hulk Hogan walked out of our match with the world title. Did you people think I was just going to walk away? Oh no, I've only just begun. Those who have participated in helping Hogan must now pay dearly for their actions. Next week those Untouchables and the so called AWA world tag team champions the Inferior Express will team up to face myself and my Commission. (looks at Thornton) Mr. Thornton, I have the upmost respect for you. You and I see things the same. I'm out here to get your permission to obtain the services of Mr. Smith for our match next week. Of course, in return, I will owe you a favor. Thornton: I did witness that injustice last week Col Debeers. I know exactly how you feel. Johnny Smith and I would love to help. You're right, it's time the AWA received a wake up call. We will be there next week and I think I will be calling in that favor soon. Debeers twirls his mustache and nods his approval. Debeers, Thornton and Smith once again shake hands. They exit and leave Nelson looking concerned. Commercial Break 'Mad Dog' Buzz Sawyer vs. Neil Jordan Sawyer decimates Jordan before winning the match with a powerslam! Sawyer starts biting the head of Jordan. CACTUS JACK hits the ring and attacks Sawyer! Jack hits, bites and stomps away on Sawyer. Jack lifts Sawyer up and drops him with a double arm DDT! Jack smiles and gives his Bang Bang trademark. Commercial Break Jumbo Tsuruta w/RayStevens vs. Harold Bannister Poor Bannister is going to be sore for a week. Jumbo obliterates him and puts him out of his misery with a powerbomb. Nelson: Ray, at Title Night, Don Muraco got the best of your man.. Ray cuts him off Stevens: Muraco! Graham! You ruined everything! Jumbo was on his way to winning back his world title but now everything has changed! You can bet Jumbo will be in the Champagne Challenge and trust me, we'll get back on track. But before that, Jumbo is going to annihilate you Muraco! And Graham, you better watch your back! I've just been informed that the Mavericks and Jive Tones will wrestle for a National tag title shot at Champagne Slam. And the AWA tag champs the Rock n Roll Express will team with the Soul Patrol to take on Col Debeers, the Commission and Johnny Smith. Wow, what a show. Ok, let's get to the ring. Brutus Beefcake vs. Jimmy 'The Stud' Golden Both of these men have been entered into the Champagne Challenge. It seems a battle royal is right up Golden's alley. However, lately Beefcake has been unhinged and seems ready to take on several men at once. Both men go back and forth with some hard hitting shots. Golden takes control and puts Beefcake down with a clothesline but Beefcake kicks out. Beefcake makes a comeback and has Golden reeling. Beefcake applies the Sleeper and wrenches away. Golden's arms are flailing, and he takes the Ref out. Golden fights the sleeper and both men end up going over the top rope. OH NO! Nell leads the Hangman out. The Hangman attacks Beefcake, lifts him up and drops him with a Hangman's neckbreaker! Nell rolls Golden back into the ring. Nell leads the Hangman to the back. The Ref groggily gets to his feet. He sees Beefcake on the outside and makes the 10 count. Golden staggers up and raises his fist. Officials come out to help Beefcake.

Great way kick things off with an exciting Trios title bout. This really sets the tone Busick and Douglas are clearly on the same page now and the Hexagon found that out. Oh yea, only a matter of time before Iron and Steel gets a title shot Finlay made Sarge bleed but Sarge triumphs in the end. Kid and Rob make the Sinister proud After that battle, Gordy and Hart are in for a war Good thing Austin has an ally. Condrey has had such an impressive singles run here that I knew he would hold gold at some point. Tonight was his night. Props to Regal on a great run. Dreamboats eke one out but I'm sure Coast to Coast will finagle a rematch. From LHW champ to TV champ, Scotty has built up quite the PCW resume. No shame for Hash, he had a stellar reign. Night 2 Thrillseekers kick off night 2 with a bang Rose and Piper have enough to deal with in each other, not sure they want to involve the Sinister. Who knows where this is going to lead. Very intriguing storyline Sabu defeats a hot PCO I agree, the OWC are on par with the rest of the Terror Cornette and the Midnights will pay Bigelow gets a huge win. Whatever he said to Piper, it worked Lee doesn't give Windham a chance to celebrate. Stay tuned for more Azul retains in yet another LHW thriller I told you Cornette and the Midnights would pay Steamboat slays Williams. And then there was one. Will Dibiase be the one to dethrone Steamboat or will Steamboat finish a clean sweep. Cant wait to find out. Awesome show!

It's so great reading Monsoon and Heenan's classic banter After all the promos, I'm hyped for SNME Nailz vs. Bossman is going to be one hell of a brawl. Speaking of brawls, Dusty and Duggan vs. The Outlaws is going to give the northern fans an old school southern show. I'm looking forward to Tito's surprise I can't imagine who Rude and Warrior's opponents will be. I'll be tuning in to find out.

The Mortons are on fire and I'm sure the USWA is taking notice. Big Dave has certainly noticed. I thought Starr was going to be in big trouble when Lock came out, but damn he gave Humperdink a beating. I'm sure Lock has something up her sleeve. The Mortons take care of business. I think Falk is going to have a long talk with Big Dave.
