Fun seeing Iceman get the battle royal win. Tough Guys edge out Spartanburg Vice in a pretty even match up. Smiley racks up another as does Siva. Andersons look solid. I would love to see them get Candy up for a double gordbuster LOL. Slick gets his boys DQed, but the important thing is they walked out with their titles. Tully gets the best of the Raging Bull as he gears up for his rematch with Flair. Speaking of Flair, his title reign is off to a good start. Albany, Haystacks gets the fans warmed up by squashing 3 men. King, Hase and Barry O get nice mid card wins. Stud Stable moves up a notch with that win over S&S. I don't think Slick's cane would've stopped the Road Warriors tonight.

This is such a great idea! Super Strong Machine opens things up with a big win over Burke. Nice sportsmanship. Pillman getting buzz in Japan is a pretty big deal. Tremendous win for The Pride, especially with Kobayashi on the other side. Badd Co. gets the win, but the Wild Things prove themselves. Windham and Hennig are defiantly back on track. LOL, only Rose could get that kind of reaction in Japan. However, he did earn Tatsumi's respect. Black Tiger is truly an international star. I can't see him losing his title anytime soon. Damn! Severn and Akira get brutal! This is going to be a wild ride. Owen shines but in the end, Shiro walks out with his title. Young makes Backlund proud by surviving Choshu and Fujiwara. Inoki vs. Bock in Japan is a big time main event. The match lives up to its hype and goes to a thrilling 60 minute draw. Standing ovation. Excellent job!

AWA @ The Quandt Fieldhouse, Stevens Point WI 6-12-87 The Bruise Brothers defeated Two Prelim Wrestlers with a double running axehandle smash! Bruise Brothers wrestled very aggressively. "The Japanese Fury" Yoshiaki Yatsu defeated Gene Ligon with a belly to back suplex "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko defeated Jerry "Alright" Allen with a spinning neckbreaker "Crippler" Rip Oliver defeated Jesse Barr w/Nelson Royal by DQ- Barr's new Wild Bunch partner, Wendell Cooley hit the ring and attacked Oliver to cause the DQ. Wild Bunch then double clotheslined Oliver with their bullrope. Lots of heat. The British Bombers and Quebec Coalition w/Frenchy Martin battled to a 15 minute draw. These teams will wrestle for the National tag titles in a few weeks, so this was a prime time scouting match. After the match, both teams nodded to each other with respect while motioning their hands around their wastes as if to say we'll see who ends up as National Tag Champs. "Terrific" Terry Taylor defeated "Dynamite" DJ Peterson- DJ had Taylor pinballing all over the ring until he missed a diving shoulder block from the top rope. Taylor staggered up, swung off the ropes and nailed DJ with the flying 5 arm to get the win. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka vs. TNT These guys have some serious issues stemming from WrestleRock. Curtis Iaukea is still MIA. TNT went at Snuka with a vengeance. Snuka came back with brutality of his own. The fans were into this hard hitting match. TNT tried to end things with his mist but before he could spit it out, Snuka lunged forward with a jumping headbutt. The mist spewed into the air. Snuka scoop slammed TNT, then went to the top rope and hit the Superfly Splash to send the fans home happy.

Well, it appears Muta is a lot more focused and sharp without Kendo and Tojo around. Doug Gilbert found out real quick what pro wrestling is all about. I cracked up at Eddie blaming Steiner and Benoit. Then he puts down Scott Rex for legally winning. Great stuff here. Woman's plan is coming along nicely. Will it all come together at Mayhem? I'm really into the Dibiase/Murdoch feud. So well done. Each week gets better. Can't wait for the blow off. Freebirds are having a great laugh at Cocoa's expense. They better be careful because as we've seen in this game, Cocoa can get crazy. Ross can continue to ignore it but the Revolution is coming. I was shocked to see Brad Armstrong's name involved. You're on to something special here.

You know you're in for a great show when Moretti and Combs kick things off. It's going to be a tough job getting the TV title off Moretti. Chase beats KC in a rough and tough season match. Credit to you for these cool hype pieces and merchandise ads. Great marketing for WWW. The next season match is more cleanly wrestled than the previous. Winona gets the win and is a good sport about it. Heck of a main event with Velvet and Richter tearing into each other. In a familiar look, dual champ Richter ends the show standing tall.

The Pride gets a big win over the Guerreros. Young Eddie is getting frustrated. Damn, what a debut by Akira! Can't wait until him and Severn collide. Well, it was only a matter of time. Art and Cactus get discharged from the Army. I can only imagine the chaos those two will cause. Anvil is really out to prove himself. I could read these Bock/Backlund interactions all day. Bock's calendar is pretty full, but he makes room for a defense against Backlund. That is if he gets by Inoki in Japan. Harts beat the Bomb Squad in a classic to end the show. Portland, Akira steps up the competition and gets the win over Mando. When Garvin lands his punch, it's all over. I knew Sid would be pissed. Konnan gets the powerbomb and Payne gets the win. Windham and Hennig get back on the winning track. Wow! Didn't see this coming as TDT turns on Finlay and hooks up with the Playboy Club. That Rose is a genius. Black Gold proves their title win wasn't a fluke. Smart booking giving Billy Jack the title shot in Portland. Knight's interference protects Bob's title shot. However, Tatum and Victory are really getting under Bob's skin. Eugene. Rainbow Warriors open up with a nice win over the former champs Badd Co. Bubba rebounds from his TV title loss with a big win over Leo. Hennig gets some satisfaction on Young. Fun contrast of styles match between Furnas and Sabu. Jarrett gets a moral victory by taking Tiger to the limit. Even though he came up short, Grizzly is put over strong. Great strategy by St. Clair. He's going to have an entertaining TV title reign.

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 6-10-87 Lance Russell: Hello everybody and welcome to another exciting edition of AWA Major League Wrestling. Tonight, you'll see The Glamour Boys take on the Original Midnight Express. Wendell Cooley goes one on one with Kerry Brown. Also in action will be Jerry Blackwell, Corporal Kirchner, Kevin Kelly, Rip Morgan, British Bombers, Quebec Coalition. And listen to this main event, Bob Armstrong goes up against The Dream Machine. Ok fans, please welcome out the AWA world champion, Tommy Rich along with Baby Doll. Thundering boos as Baby Doll leads Tommy to the podium. Baby Doll: Just hold on a minute Lance, the champ has some important things to say. Rich: Lance, you and I both know that I'm the hottest thing in wrestling. You can say I'm on fire, wildfire baby! I'm standing here holding this AWA world title with the upmost pride. So! I take offense to the comments made by that jackass of a clown, Jerry Lawler. He called me a disgrace. He's the disgrace! I sent him packing months ago and now he's weaseled his way back and is trying to get a title shot. Lawler! You can't just come back and start making ridiculous demands boy. Lance, he hasn't fought anybody yet and therefore I wont give him a title shot. I don't have to! Lance: Ok, just relax Tommy. Next weekend at the Rupp Arena, Jerry Lawler will be back in action, taking on Gerry Morrow. Rich: Now that's what I'm talking about! Take it to him Gerry! Well then, Baby Doll, lets get out of this dump. The sooner, the better. Lance: Hang on Tommy. You will also be in the Rupp Arena next week, Because you'll be defending the AWA world title against Jerry Blackwell. Rich: (Pauses, then bursts out laughing) That fat guy? Is Jarrett serious? (Shakes his head) I'm done here. Rich and Baby Doll exit. Commercial Break The British Bombers vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez Bombers start off strong and never let up. The end comes when Smith clips Dutro behind the knee as Dave hits the spinning forearm blast! Resnick: Bombers look impressive. On that note, I've been informed that on July 2nd at the Mecca in Milwaukee, the Bombers will face The Quebec Coalition for the vacant AWA National tag titles. Commercial Break Corporal Kirchner vs. Zane Blitzer The fans cheer as Kirchner comes to the ring waving the American Flag. Kirchner is still wearing the eye patch but it doesn't seem to bother him as he hits the Fireman's Carry Slam for the win. Resnick: Corporal Kirchner, at WrestleRock, Jose Estrada got the DQ win but he left in pretty bad shape. I understand he'll be out of action for awhile. Kirchner: Ken, the last thing I want to do is maliciously injure an opponent. But Estrada was different. Look what he did to my eye! He brought out the worse in me and what happened was the definition of an eye for an eye! WHAM! Kirchner is nailed from behind by Grizzly Boone! Boone picks up Kirchner and slams him on the concrete! Resnick: Grizzly Boone! What is this all about? Boone: It's Commando Boone! That weakling you see laying there is first on the list! One by one, they're all going down! Boone storms off. Resnick: I have no idea what that was all about. Resnick goes to check on Kirchner. Commercial Break The Glamour Boys vs. The Original Midnight Express w/Norvell Austin Pretty fun fast paced bout that goes back and forth. Glamour Boys show off their high octane moves while the Midnight's showcase their tremendous double team maneuvers. The action never lets up as the 10 minute time limit expires. Both teams stare at each other as Norvell enters the ring. Midnight's start to walk away, then turn around and attack the Glamour Boys. Norvell gets in on it and it's 3 on 2. Midnight's hit a double hot shot on Simpson, then follow with a double flapjack on Doll. Boos as Norvell raises the Midnight's arms. Norvell leads his Express to ringside. Norvell: Those punks don't realize how lucky they are. My Midnight Express are just getting warmed up at the 10 minute mark. We just showed those pretty boys who the real winners are! Commercial Break We come back and see a man walking down an alley. He steps up to the camera. "Bad News Brown is coming to the AWA! You've been warned!" Resnick: That was ominous. Switching gears, I wanted to mention that Al Perez is on a Puerto Rican tour. Along those lines, joining me now is his former AWA National Tag Team championship partner, Larry Zbyszko. Boos as Larry comes out jawing with the fans. Resnick: Larry, I understand that you and Al have decided to go separate ways. I also understand that next week at the Rupp Arena, you will be facing Ricky Steamboat and the winner will be in line for a world title shot. Larry: Wow Ken, you're really on your game tonight. It's about time and I'm impressed. Al and myself were in top form as National champs. We've just come to a point where we want to achieve some single's goals. Which brings me to that spudhead Ricky Steamboat. Steamboat! You're an obstacle in my way to the world title. An obstacle I'll knock down. Resnick: Never at a loss for words. Let's hear some pre recorded comments from Ricky Steamboat. Ricky's walking down a beach. Steamboat: It's been quite a year for me. I was on top of the world for nearly a year, when I was the reigning AWA world champ. And then my world came crashing down, thanks to Carlos Colon. Beating Colon at WrestleRock is something I will cherish forever. Now that I conquered him, I get the chance to go for the title again. It's me and you Larry Zbyszko. I want the title again and Larry, you're not stopping me. Commercial Break Outback Jack is in the ring. Jack: Enough is enough! I want that bloke Putski, one more time! If I lose, I'll quit the AWA! Putski! Get out here! The fans are puzzled when Rip Morgan comes out. Morgan swings his chain around, then storms the ring and clotheslines Jack with it! Morgan wraps the chain around Jack's neck and hangs him over the top rope! Jack wrenches away like a madman. Security runs in to stop this. Morgan chokes away, then finally releases. Morgan goes to the outside. Officials run over to help Jack. Morgan pushes them out of the way and starts hitting a helpless Jack with his chain. Morgan runs over to Resnick. Resnick drops his mic and runs. Morgan picks it up. Morgan: That man is nothing but a loser! He needs to hang his head in shame and go back down under! Commercial Break The Quebec Coalition w/Frenchy Martin vs. Todd Rooney and Jared Moss Martin waves the Canadian Flag as Charland puts Moss down with an inverted piledriver. Charland tags in LeFon. LeFon swings off the ropes and hits a senton for the win. Martin cuts a promo and says the Coalition have the upmost respect for the British Bombers and may the best team win the AWA National Tag Team Titles. Commercial Break "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley w/Nelson Royal vs. "The Master of Disaster" Kerry Brown Kerry starts off with a bang as he has Cooley bouncing all over. Nelson tries to interfere but Kerry takes care of that quick. Kerry back drops Cooley. Cooley staggers up as Kerry clotheslines him down 1..2..Kick Out. Kerry swings Cooley into the corner and charges but Cooley moves. Cooley regroups and stomps away on Kerry. Cooley hoists Kerry up and throat shots him on the top rope. Cooley clamps a headlock on Kerry and hits a running bulldog 1..2..Kerry gets his foot on the rope. Cooley argues with the Ref while Nelson yanks Kerry out of the ring. Nelson picks up Kerry but Kerry punches away on Nelson. WHAM! Kerry is hit from behind with a cowbell by JESSE BARR! Cooley comes out and they double team Kerry. The Ref signals for the DQ. Cooley and Barr double clothesline Kerry with the rope and cowbell! Resnick: That was deplorable! Nelson Royal, Wendell Cooley and Jesse Barr, obviously the three of you are in cahoots. Nelson: Very observant Resnick. At WrestleRock, Wendell Cooley put down that urban cowboy Blackjack Mulligan. Wendell Cooley proved he is the toughest cowboy around. Well, what's better than one tough cowboy? How about two? (Laughs) You're looking at Wendell Cooley and Jesse Barr, the Wild Bunch! Commercial Break Brenda Britton is standing in front of an AWA banner. Britton: Well, since my debacle at WrestleRock, the AWA has made amends, as well as they should have. Next week, the Beauty Shop returns with a brand new sign. And, my guest will be my best friend Gerry Morrow. Now that makes me happy. Until next week, toooodles! "Mr. Magnificent" Kevin Kelly w/The Vin Man vs. Arnie Goldstein Kelly clamps on the full nelson and it's all over. An elated Vin Man leads Kelly to ringside. Resnick: Ok, Vinnie, because of Kelly's big WrestleRock win over DJ Peterson, Kelly gets a TV title shot next week, against Nick Busick. Vin: Busick! You don't stand a chance bubba. You saw how tough Kelly is. I mean did you see him flat out KO that dope Peterson? Resnick: Well, he did have help with some brass knuckles, that you provided. Kelly: Shut your mouth Resnick! Or I'll shut it for you! Vin: The bottom line is Mr. Magnificent is finally going to get the gold he deserves. Busick, you're history pal. I'm the Vin Man yea! Commercial Break "Crusher" Jerry Blackwell vs. Carl Kellerman Blackwell slams Kellerman down, swings off the ropes and hits the big splash for the win! Resnick: Jerry, WrestleRock was quite the night for you. I hear Greg Gagne is still recuperating. Now that that's done. You get the opportunity of a lifetime next week at the Rupp Arena, when you face Tommy Rich for the AWA world title. Blackwell: Yea, I heard Rich out here running his mouth again. Rich! Go get a video cassette of WrestleRock and watch what I did to Gagne. Because I've got so much more planned for you! Commercial Break Resnick: Fans next week Jerry "The King" Lawler will be here. AWA International Champ El Canek will be in action. Nick Busick defends the AWA TV title against Kevin Kelly. AWA World Tag Team Champs Tatsumi Fujinami and Jumbo Tsuruta will be in the ring. I understand they'll be defending their titles against The Olympians next week at the Rupp Arena. All that and a lot more. Let's get to our main event. "Bullet" Bob Armstrong vs. The Dream Machine No love lost here. The bell rings and the fists start flying! Bob blocks a punch and punches away on Dream, swings him to the ropes and knocks Dream down with a big right punch. Dream staggers up as Bob scoop slams him down and follows with a knee drop 1..2..Kick Out. Bob swings Dream into the corner and charges in with a running clothesline. Bob hip tosses Dream and follows with a neck snap. Bob grabs Dream's leg and drops an elbow on it, then clamps on the figure four! Dream quickly grabs the ropes. Bob releases as Dream rolls out of the ring. Dream clears the cobwebs and hops on the apron. Bob comes forward and Dream jumps back down. Bob goes out after him. Dream runs into the ring. Bob follows but Dream nails Bob with a knee to the head. Dream grabs the top rope and drops several knees on Bob. Dream picks up Bob and slams him hard. Dream swings off the ropes and hits a jumping elbow drop 1..2..Kick Out. A frustrated Dream angrily stomps on Bob. Dream picks up Bob, swings him to the ropes but misses a clothesline, Bob swings back and hits a flying press 1..2..3!! Big POP! Bob staggers up as a pissed off Dream gets up and clotheslines him from behind! Dream grabs the Ref and hurls him out of the ring. Dream starts yelling at the fans. Dream turns around but Bob lowblows him! Bob uppercuts Dream and Dream goes back and down holding his groin. The fans cheer as Bob holds his fists up.

I'm glad Smiley went to a good home. I think "Black Magic" fits in so well here. Trinity unleashes all their anger on Spartanburg Vice. Props to Vice for holding their own in one wild brawl. Brody is off to a dominant start. I've enjoyed the S&S vs. Radiance feud. Things turn up a notch with Radiance bringing in Sherri (Nice move) Keep this feud going! Great segment with Flair and JJ. Excellent job bringing up the game's history and its roots. Flair vs. Tully in an iron man match...YES! That's going to be money! Mega Man solidifies himself as TV champ with a gigantic win over Haystacks. Worldwide, Solid showcases for Negro, Outlaws and Smothers. Deaton earns a TV title shot by defeating a man who's been on a hot streak, Hase. Hansen the new US champ is the one making challenges. Who will step up?

Bam Bam could really shine here. He's off to a great start. We get some chaos in the first street fight tourney match that I'm sure will segue into a Sheepherders/Nasty Boys feud. Talk about crazy! After what went down in the AWA, Slater shows up with his old buddy Bob. I love this team! These tough guys will do some damage. Having battles with Bad News defiantly helped get Spivey ready for the tourney. He takes Khan down. Bees have a great showing but Idol and Landel are just to crafty. WOW! OMG and Mulligan tear it up! It takes Kamala, Savages and OMG to defeat Mulligan. Things calm down a bit as the Rockers retain against the RPMs. Jimmy Jam states his case but things take a wild turn as JAKE THE SNAKE shows up! What a surprise! This will be a cool and fresh program. All hell breaks loose between Spivey and OMG! Spivey gets the fire and it's all over. This tournament was craziness at its best. Fantastic idea! Night ends on a high note with Race holding his title high.

With Moretti holding the TV title, we know shows will kick off with a bang. Love the Season's round table review segment. Patterson gives Velvet quite the endorsement. I really like how your using Pat here. His appearances are always special. Carranza is really looking strong. So far, Velvet is proving Pat right. Trios title match delivers! These 6 ladies give the fans over 30 minutes of non stop action! Great ending with new champs standing tall.

AWA releases Abdullah the Butcher AWA picks up Al Madril

UWF was on fire this week! Watts has enough and lays down the law to Tojo and Kendo. However, Muta gets a pass. I'm wondering what Tojo thinks about that? Hot Stuff Inc. continues to cause trouble and it looks like a pissed off Ricky Morton is going to do something about it. Luger gets serious heat and solidifies himself as a heel by messing with Magnum. Reed comes out, and a chaotic brawl follows. Reed vs. Luger! Oh yea! LOL, great promo by Murdoch! That's defiantly something he would do. Murdoch vs. Dibiase is going to draw, thanks to segments like this. After everything that's gone on, the Freebirds weren't about to be upstaged in the heat game. Poor Cocoa gets hammered by coconuts. I hope he brings in some back up. Armstrong and Atlas seem to be MIA. OK, we get a glimpse of Mid South Revolution and man this is going to be off the charts! Look at those names! Can't wait to see this play out.
-
Kelowna, After a tense couple of months, British Steel seem to be in sync and back on track. Midnight's rebound from their title loss with a big win over the Hart's. Nobody gets up from the tombstone piledriver. Easy Ed would agree. OMG wins the battle of big men. Simmons and Warrior are really rising the tag ranks. Even though they're technically baby faces, TDT aren't afraid to get vicious. Backlund as dual champ sets up all kinds of interesting scenarios. This match with Jarrett is a perfect example. Jarrett puts in a valiant effort, but Backlund is unstoppable right now.
-
Malenko's get a nice showcase. Oh man! The Anvil is back with a vengeance! Furnas looks awesome here. A Malenko's/Furnas alliance? Watch out PCW! Whoa! Gary Hart brings in a Japanese enforce and goes right after Severn. This will be hard hitting. I thought their 3 falls match was incredible, but damn, Eddie and Barr top it by going all out inside the cage. Barr gets the big visual and wins the match. I just loved all the reactions with Jack's being the best. Great storytelling. Vancouver, Furnas beats Mando and it looks like he's officially in with the Malenko's. Billy Jack has his hands full with Grizzly but pulls it out. Tiger continues to have an iron grip on his LHW title. Thanks to his loyal Playboy Club members, Rose gets another tainted win. Black Gold get in their first title defense. Malenko's even the score with the Warriors. St. Clair and Young are two of my favorites in PCW. St. Clair is going to have an amazing TV title run.
-
Tough Guy Inc is the type of team a territory wants. They get enough wins to stay strong, while also putting teams over. I also like how you're using Siva Afi and Hase. Always in the mix. Outlaws defeat S&S as they gear up for a rematch with the Road Warriors. Damn! That's how you debut Bruiser Brody! When you picked up Brody, I immediately thought Hansen vs. Brody! Easy money! Whatley and Conway are having a great US tag title run. Fun booking with Road Warriors and Andersons in solo bouts. Hansen caps the night off with his lariat!

AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 6-3-87 The show kicks off with "Shoot to Thrill" by ACDC as all the highlights of WrestleRock are shown. Lance: Hello everybody and welcome to another exciting edition of AWA Major League Wrestling. Well, WrestleRock is in the books and my goodness what an event it was. Two nights of wrestling, tailgate parties and of course great concert performances by Billy Squire and The Doobie Brothers. A lot of wrestlers are still recovering from their WrestleRock matches and wont be here tonight. However, we do have a solid show lined up. The main event will be Jerry Allen taking on the returning Billy Jack Strong. Unfortunately I have some rather bad news. At WrestleRock, we saw a wild world title match along with a returning Jerry Lawler. Dick Slater defeated Tommy Rich to win the AWA world title. I hate to be the one to announce this, but Tommy Rich is still the AWA world champ. I repeat, Tommy Rich is still the AWA world champ. I'm going to show you exclusive footage from the locker room and what happened right after that match. Sunday May 29th- Liberty Bowl Locker Room Ken Resnick: Fans, I'm here with the new AWA world champion, Dick Slater. Congratulations Dick. That was just incredible. Slater: Thank you very much Ken. I said I came to the AWA with one goal in mind (holds title up) and I just accomplished it! It feels damn good! Resnick: I'm sure it does. I understand Jerry Jarrett is on his way in. Ok, here he comes. Jarrett: Dick, that was one hell of a match and there's no doubt in my mind that you deserve it. It breaks my heart to tell you that I'm going to have to give the belt back to Tommy Rich. Resnick: I certainly wasn't expecting this... Slater: Whoa, wait a minute! What the hell are you talking about? Jarrett: I just spoke to the original referee and he explained his decision. The last thing he saw was Baby Doll knocking him out with her purse. He did see her do it but was unconscious and couldn't signal for a DQ. I know Jerry Lawler brought down another official and you ended up pinning Tommy. Normally I would accept this decision but because the original official saw Baby Doll do what she did, I have to go with his call. Dick, I'm truly sorry and you will get a rematch. Slater: (Processing all this) After all that son of a bitch Tommy Rich put me through, you're just going to come in and take this title away from me? What the hell kind of clown operation are you running here Jarrett? Jarrett: I know you're upset and I would be to. I assure you Dick, you will get a rematch. Please, hand over the title and let me set the match up. Slater looks at the title. Slater: You want this title Jarrett? Fair enough, here you go. Slater knocks Jarrett out with the title! Slater then drops the title on Jarrett's chest and walks out. Back Live Lance: (shaking his head) Wow, I know that was a lot to take in. Tommy Rich is still AWA world champion. I know Dick Slater was very upset and I can't blame him. However, he crossed a line and hit the President. Because of that, Dick Slater was suspended. I don't think it mattered because I understand Slater quit. It sure put a sour taste on WrestleRock, What a shame. Fans, we'll be right back. Commercial Break Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka vs. Todd Rooney After that opening, the fans needed something to cheer about. Who better, than a returning Jimmy Snuka? Snuka looks in peak condition as he takes it to his opponent. Snuka bodyslams Rooney, climbs to the top rope, flashes the 'I love you' and hits the Superfly Splash for the win! Resnick: Ok, Jimmy Snuka, welcome back. You made quite an impact at WrestleRock, when you hit the scene and helped Kokina. You ended up hitting Curtis Iaukea with the Superfly Splash. Nobody has heard from Iaukea since. Snuka: Brother, I was just happy to be at WrestleRock. But, when I saw TNT spray that mist in Kokina's eyes and Iaukea get in there with his kendo stick, I had to help my Brutha Kokina. Kokina will be back soon. When that happens, he has new partner. Kokina and The Superfly, Polynesian Power brother! Commercial Break Gama Singh vs. Trent Watkins Gama looks in top form as he easily outwrestles Watkins and wins the match with a cobra clutch. Resnick: Gama, your impressive win streak continues. Gama: Of course! I have never been more focused in my life. It is now time for my title shot! It's long overdue! El Canek! I'm challenging you for the AWA International title! Be ready! Commercial Break Resnick: Fans, my guest at this time, still reigning AWA world champion, Tommy Wildfire Rich, along with Baby Doll. Thundering boos! Tommy's wearing a T-Shirt that says "Predictable outcome at WrestleRich" Tommy stops, kisses the title and holds it up as the fans are up and booing. Baby Doll: Resnick! You better watch your manners! Rich: I hate to say I told you so, but I told you! I told you! I told you! I walked in WrestleRich with the world title and damn it I walked out with the world title! Not even that stupid jackass Jerry Lawler could ruin WrestleRich! Lawler! I ran you out of town 6 months ago and if you're here for more, I'll run you out again! You see Resnick, nobody can ruin my high. Man, it's great to be me! Resnick: I don't know. Baby Doll sure played a major factor in you retaining. And let's not forget, Slater did pin your shoulders. I guess luck was on your side. And yea, I'm sure you're happy now with Dick Slater leaving. Rich: Boy, you really are a downer. Hey, fair is fair, The original referee should get a bonus for his decision. And as for Dick Slater. What? You just can't go around hitting the President. Slater should be locked up. All I can say is, to bad Dicky. Maybe we'll cross paths again someday. For now, Baby Doll and the champ have more celebrating to do. So long Resnick. Commercial Break Resnick: Fans.... Outback Jack storms in. Jack: WrestleRock was suppose to be my night but that sook Putski ruined everything! He was bloody lucky and I want him in the ring, right here, right now! Jack gets in the ring and yells at the Ref. Cheers as Scott Putski comes out, nodding his head. The Ref shrugs his shoulders and calls for the bell. Outback Jack vs. Scott "Powerhouse" Putski The bell rings and Jack charges Putski and nails him with a running forearm blast! Jack stomps on Putski, picks him up, swings him to the ropes and goes for a back drop but Putski hits a sunset flip 1..2..Kick Out! Both men rise as Putski hits a standing dropkick on Jack. Jack staggers up as Putski scoop slams him down and follows with a jumping elbow drop 1..2..Kick Out. Putski swings Jack into the corner and charges in but Jack nails him with his boot. Jack clears the cobwebs. Putski slowly rises and Jack puts him down with a clothesline 1..2..Kick Out. Jack picks up Putski and hits a backbreaker 1..2..Kick Out. Jack picks up Pustki, swings him to the ropes but misses a clothesline, Putski swings back and clotheslines Jack down. Putski regroups, swings Jack to the ropes and hits a powerslam! Putski picks up Jack, swings him to the ropes and hits the Polish Hammer 1..2..3! Big POP! Once again, Putski stands tall as Jack lays there wondering what hit him. Commercial Break "Terrific" Terry Taylor vs. Vic Dutro Taylor gets some serious heat during the match. Taylor hurls Dutro out of the ring. Taylor goes out, slams Dutro's head on the apron and hurls him back in the ring. Taylor swings Dutro to the ropes and hits the flying 5 arm for the win! Resnick: Terry Taylor, you have a lot of explaining to do. Why did you turn on your partner Tom Zenk like that? I really thought you two were going places here. Taylor: Yea, so did I. And then because of my so called partner, we lost to the Midnight Express at a huge event. Tom Zenk blew it and Tom Zenk can fend for himself from now on. I don't have time to lose because I'm a winner. Tom Zenk on the other hand is nothing but a loser. Terrific Terry Taylor is now his own man and the sky's the limit! Commercial Break We see a nice magazine photo of Tatsumi Fujinami and Jumbo Tsuruta holding up the AWA world titles and National titles. Resnick: Fans, has there been a more dominate team in wresting than Tatsumi Fujinami and Jumbo Tsuruta? Due to the rules of the AWA, a team can not hold both sets of titles. I understand next week, we're going to find out the status of the AWA National titles. Boos as The Quebec Coalition and Frenchy Martin come out. Frenchy: It is obvious after my team's tremendous performance at WrestleRock that we should be awarded with de National Titles. Charland and LeFon are smiling and nodding. There's a commotion as the British Bombers walk out. Dave: Don't get ahead of yourselves. The British Bombers deserve those titles just as much as you do. (Smith nods behind him) Resnick: Gentlemen, please. We will all hear the announcement next week. Both teams have a legitimate case. I'm sure you'll be heard. Commercial Break The Bruise Brothers vs. Clinton Stitch and Arnie Goldstein Snowman hits an atomic drop on Goldstein, as Cameron blasts him with a running double axehandle to the back of the head for the win! The fans cheer as the Bruise Brothers give each other a double fist bump. Commercial Break Brenda Britton is on screen in front of an AWA banner. Britton: I'm so angry right now! I know you all were wondering where I was at WrestleRock. Well, I went backstage to get ready for my performance with Billy Squire but his security escorted me out of the stadium! Nobody would return my calls and because of that I missed Night 2! I hate everybody! The AWA better make this up to me or else! (Angry face) Tooodles! Commercial Break Resnick: With me now is Jerry Allen. Jerry, you're about to get in the ring but I know you have an announcement for us. Allen: Thank you Ken. I just wanted to say. my Lightning Strike partner Tim Horner has left the AWA to pursue other endeavors. He wanted me to thank all the AWA fans and their overwhelming support for Lightning Strike. Tim is my good friend and I wish him the best of luck. I learned a lot from him. Well Ken, it's time to go solo again. Alright! Billy Jack Strong vs. Jerry "Alright" Allen Allen waits in the ring as the returning Billy Jack Strong enters. The bell rings. They lock up and Strong muscles Allen back into the corner. The ref calls for a break. Strong slowly lets go, then blasts Allen with a cheap punch. Strong unloads on Allen, then hip tosses him. Strong picks up Allen and slams him down. Strong hops on the middle ropes and hits a knee drop 1..2..Kick Out. Strong swings Allen to the corner and charges in but Allen moves. Strong hits hard as Allen rolls him up 1..2..Kick Out. Allen swings Strong to the ropes and back drops him. Allen shakes the cobwebs. Strong gets up as Allen dropkicks him down. Allen goes to the middle ropes and hits an elbow drop 1..2..Kick Out. Allen swings Strong to the ropes but Strong reverses it but Allen swings back with a flying press 1..2..Kick Out. Allen slams Strong and goes to the top rope. Strong staggers up. Allen goes for a missile dropkick but Strong moves as Allen crashes down on his shoulder. Strong regroups, picks Allen up and hits a shoulder breaker 1..2..3! Strong puts his boot on Allen's chest and does a trap pose. Commercial Break Resnick: Fans, please welcome back to the AWA, Jerry "The King" Lawler! The fans are up and cheering as Lawler comes out smiling. He raises his fist to them and nods. Resnick: Welcome back King! It's great to see you. Just listen to these fans. They feel the same. Lawler: Ken, It's great to be back home and it's great to see all my fans again! Resnick: You made quite the return at WrestleRock. However, I'm sure you were disappointed at the aftermath. Lawler: For months I've watched Tommy Rich make a complete ass of himself. He's done nothing but disgrace the world title. I really was trying to help Dick Slater and give him the fair shake he deserved. We all saw how that turned out. I really wish Slater had controlled his emotions because I know he would have won that title eventually. Jerry Jarrett was clocked pretty good and is at home resting. I'm just sorry all this had to happen. Now! As for you Tommy Rich. You and I have unfinished business and I'm here to take care of it. Rich! Your days are numbered because the King is back!

Spectacular kicks things off with a very classy salute to all those who sacrificed their lives for this country. Well done! Harris gets things going with the Anthem. The announcers put this event over and we're set for action. Posse and Trinity get the fans up with a fast paced and wild match. Posse retains but it looks like Trinity might have a gripe for a rematch. Loved the contrast of entrances with McGee and Fleming. Very fitting for their styles. After a seesaw match, Mega Man ends The Natural's dominant TV title reign. Impressive! It took all 4 Brutha's in Arms to finally put the Renegade Warriors down. I'm so happy with how the Jive Tones have been treated in this game. Gotta love these guys. A double DQ is exactly what I would expect from the Road Warriors and Outlaws. This is a feud that needs to keep going. Savage vs. Hansen...YES! These guys give the fans one hell of a match. It defiantly lived up to the great build. Hansen hits the lariat and we have a new US champ. I love both these guys but I'm really looking forward to a Hansen US title reign. Main event time. Tully vs. Flair is a dream match come true. These guys put on an instant classic. JJ and Tully try their usual shenanigans but things backfire big time! Flair gets a most satisfying win with the figure four. Flair is now NWA world champion...WHOOOOO! Awesome show! Can't wait for the Great American Bash!

Tojo has his team united and focused. Doug Gilbert struggling against Randy Mulkey cracked me up. I loved how Steiner even had to help him. Fun twist for a big debut. I'm hoping Luger accepts Woman's guidance. This could set up an intriguing feud with Reed. Damn! Vader and Barbarian do a serious number on RnR. Big time heat! Poor Gibson. I wonder if he'll be on crutches again. Dibiase and Murdoch are two guys that know how to sell tickets. Great segment. Reed sounds ready for anything. Solid debuts from Cocoa and Rex. I hope Atlas and Armstrong are ok. Very interested in what this Revolution is all about. UWF not even acknowledging it, adds even more intrigue.

Monthly Supercard time! My favorite Moretti opens things up by retaining her TV title. Winona and Kat shine and put on a fun season match with Winona pulling it out. I always liked a good tag team battle royal and the ladies deliver here. Stakes are high. Singh and Bennett take the titles! Nellie gives Richter one hell of a match but eventually goes down. Damage done as a now exhausted Richter has to face a fresh Medusa. Props to Richter for going another 35 minutes with Medusa. Medusa gets her grand moment at the end. Let her reign begin! Great show! Sounds like you're extremely busy. Thanks for taking the time to put out quality and consistent shows.

Deaton deserves extra pay for doing double duty. Del Rey gets himself a bonus from Slick. Horsemen get big time momentum with a huge 6 man win. Love the Savage/Street booking. The match brought the heat. Spartanburg Vice gets a nice win. These guys do have that fun cult following vibe to them. Mega Man tunes up for Fleming by taking on Tough Guy Myers. Dirty Dutch gets a big win over Adonis. Fun contrast of gimmicks match up. Yamada takes TV champ Fleming to the limit. This is a pretty big deal. Renegade Warriors beat 2 of the Bruthas in Arms. Can they beat the others for the titles? Good loop as the wrestlers get ready for the Spectacular.

Renegade Warriors are defiantly tuned up and ready for their upcoming US tag title shot. Nothing like a Stan Hansen squash match. Jeez! Savage better be ready. Posse are in sync and ready for the Trinity. Outlaws put down fan favorites Good & Plenty. Will they do the same to the Road Warriors? Adias brought his A game but the resilient Fleming once again retains. Wild brawl ends the show as things heat up between Flair and Tully. Their match is going to be off the charts! Worldwide The Brutha's send a message to the Renegade Warriors. Savage gears up for Hansen. There's a fight coming on Memorial Day. Another fight coming is the Road Warriors and Outlaws. Fun battle royal to cap the show. Haystacks and Mega Man are the stars and it comes down to them. Mega Man pulls off a mega win and earns himself a TV title shot. Fleming vs. McGee is going to be a solid contrast of styles match up. Bring on the Spectacular!

OK, let's do this! Pacific's staple Leo Burke opens things up with a crowd pleasing win. Rose's top guys do him well by putting down rivals Garvin and Tenta. With that win over Chavo, I would say Owen's back on track. Jack and Sabu become stars after that wild match. Jack gets the win and even shows respect to Sabu. Vindication! Warrior gets his win back in dominating fashion. Get ready Pacific. The best news about the Simmons/Big Cat match is we're going to get more. Billy Jack gets his payback. Very interesting show of sportsmanship after the match. Looking forward to watching what happens with Tatum and old Hollywood. Ed evens things up for the Gantner Brothers. After a long chase, things pay off big time as TDT defeats Badd Co. for the CA titles. Props to you for writing up such good chases. For the record, I did enjoy Badd Co's run. Another fantastic feud concludes as Eddie comes back and beats Barr in a thrilling 3 falls match. Both of these guys were given a tremendous opportunity to shine and they took the ball and scored. Two submission masters go at it with both titles on the line. Severn gives Backlund a real scare but the experience of Backlund prevails. Backlund is now a dual champ. No matter where Bob ends up, he always winds up on top. The night ends with an epic TV title cage match. First off, I love the importance of the TV title here. Bubba and Tony bring it! In the end, Tony puts an end to Bubba's impressive run. Great match! I for one am looking forward to the reign of St. Clair. Night 2! Here we go, Fast paced start as Hector surprises the Hitman. I can't get enough of the Hart's and Guerreros matches. OMG proves he's still the man as he puts down the always game Hennig. Jarrett proves he's back in the game with a nice win over Mando. The Malenko's have arrived! I liked the twist with the Warriors getting the win here. Another man gets his revenge as Pillman gets a showcase win over Young. Man, it looks like the Anvil has lost a bit of confidence. We'll see where this goes. I liked the looks on Paynes and the Ref's face LOL. Konnan gets his big win and unmasks Humungous. However, the big news here is, the game now has SID!!! You got me! I thought for sure Regal was turning but no! British Steel get a huge emotional win and are back on the same page. Can I say it again, Black Tiger is having one of the most entertaining title reigns in the game. HAHAHA! Rose is the slyest fox in the game! Another shocker! Black Gold upsets the Midnight Express and become Pacific Champs! Seattle is one unlucky spot for Cornette! It all comes down to Windham vs. Bock. They put on an absolute classic. Then things get crazy. We get a brawl of factions on the outside while OMG clobbers Windham, allowing Bock to get the tainted win. Nevertheless, Nick Bockwinkel is champ again! As always, Pacific delivers another outstanding supercard. Awesome job!
