  1. Rage in the Cage is going to be insane! All 3 cage matches are main events. What a great night that will be. LOL! Landel was on a roll tonight. That was some hilarious stuff. This guy is GOLD! Killer Bees and Samurai Warriors put on a solid match. Love the TV title idea. This is going to be a fun segment to watch every week. So many possible dream matches. Jones is very confident in Nikita and even takes shots at all the other champs. I'm really looking forward to the Sheri/Richter match at Rage. The Savage/Link program is becoming very interesting. Literally anything can happen at any given moment between these two. Fiesta Garden is back! WOW! Hogan vs. Tsuruta at Rage! HAHAHA I remember when Hansen use to plow over Nelson. That always cracked me up. Props to Nelson for taking those bumps. Wild ending as Rich/Olympia-Sawyer and Slater have a crazy brawl. Yet another fun feud in the AWA. Man I cant wait for Rage in the Cage!
  2. I know this SNME drew some high ratings for NBC. So great hearing Gorilla commentate with Vince. The pre show promos were spot on. Brought back memories. Bulldogs retain in a hard fought match with the Fantastics. With the Bulldogs chemistry along with Heenan, it's going to be hard to get the straps off them. Muldoon was in way over his head as Andre disposes him pretty easily. Backlund realizes he's in trouble and lowblows his way out of it. What a cool visual with Backlund, Graham and Bruno in the ring at the same time. Loved the teasing of Bruno and Backlund. I think we're going to get the big dream match. WrestleMania is coming!!!!! Looking forward to a Gunslingers/Red Scare feud. Props to you on a very well written battle royal. Those can be hard to write but you defiantly have it mastered. Very easy to follow. Good job with Slaughter and Sheik. Patera was rock'n this battle royal. The highlight for me was him eliminating Bundy and Candy. He deserved the IC title after that performance. Outstanding show. WrestleMania is going to be EPIC!
  3. After a great build, we're now set for SNME! I cant tell you how much I enjoy the promos. You really work magic as you can draw in crowds with just words. Amazing job. Muldoon looks unbeatable but now he faces the biggest challenge of his life as he goes one on one with the eight wonder of the world on SNME. Absolutely loved the Fuller promo and match. Bruno calling him a used car salesman was hilarious. Fuller's southern "charm" will no doubt get some heat with the northern fans. LOL new coke. I wonder who came up with that idea? HAHAHA Backlund thinks Jerry Allen is Terry Allen! That was brilliant and shows that Backlund is truly NUTS. I'm glad Sheik is in single's competition. I think he has so much to offer as a hated heel. You've done a great job with the Gunslingers. They win their war with the Tribe and next up is the Red Scare. Red Scare give a scary promo. This will be a solid match up. The Backlund/Superstar Graham promos is a perfect example of what I was talking about. Neither man has touched each other yet but their words make their match a must see. Shultz puts down SD Jones as the commentators put Shultz's character over. Cant wait for SNME. There's at least 10 men in the battle royal who could easily walk out IC champ.

Martel waves to the fans as he heads to the podium. Lance: Rick, big title defense at Parade of Champions against Tony St. Clair however after tonight you may be facing Joe Lightfoot. Martel: Lance, I've been defending this title against a variety of challengers for the past 5 months so I'm ready for either man. Les Thornton has been pretty arrogant with his comments and tonight his man St. Clair might end up paying for them. Commercial Break Gino Brito Jr. vs. Trent Watkins Brito looks good tonight as he executes a shin breaker on Trent then clamps on the figure four leglock for the win. Brito cuts a promo and says he intends on winning the Parade of Champions Battle Royal and will be holding that trophy high. Lance then welcomes out the Master G's (George Wells and Gerry Morrow) Footage is shown from the Freedom Hall Civic Center as the Syndicate interfere and cost the Master G's their match with the Fabulous Blondes. Wells: Adias you made a big mistake when you turned on me and brother not even your new partner Gary Young will help you at Parade of Champions. Morrow: That's right! Adias! Young! You want to play games and cost us matches? Well at Parade of Champions let's see how things turn out when we're all face to face! Master G's vs. Todd Rooney and Gary Williams Master G's are aggressive tonight and finish things off with a double running tackle! Commercial Break "Crippler" Rip Oliver and "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley vs. "Mean" Mike Miller and "The Memphis Mafia Man" Johnny Rich w/"Cool" Carl Fergie Lot's of bad blood here. Fergie hired Miller to take out Oliver. Cooley and Rich have had an ongoing feud. The bell rings and fists are flying! Fergie is up on the apron but Oliver knocks him off. The Ref gets control. Oliver and Miller are tearing each other up. Oliver gets the upper hand but Rich runs in and nails Oliver. Cooley gets in there and punches Rich to the corner. Miller nails Cooley from behind but Oliver grabs Miller by his tights and rolls him up 1..2..3! Big Pop! Fergie runs in the ring and punches Cooley but Cooley grabs him by his shirt. Rich hits Cooley from behind. Oliver heads towards Rich but Miller clotheslines him from behind. Miller and Rich put the boots to Cooley and Oliver. Fergie joins in the beating as the commercial hits. Commercial Break Lance: Ok, things have settled down. I hope those scores are settled at Parade of Champions. Coming out now is the Outlaw Ron Bass. Bass cracks the whip and Lance steps back. Lance: Now listen Bass, if you're going to do that then this interview is over ok? Bass: You're just like all these other yellow bellied cowards in the USWA! I came here for competition and now I cant even get a match for Parade of Champions. I've never seen so many cowardly wrestlers in my life! There's a commotion from the fans. Lance: Oh my, Ron Fuller! Ron, I had no idea you were going to be here today. Fuller: I made it a point after hearing Bass here talk about lack of competition last week. And here he is again this week talking about no competition and cowards. (Looks at Bass) Listen up boy! The Tennessee Stud is here and I would like to be at Parade of Champions. So why don't we lock up? Bass: Are you kidding me? Am I suppose to be intimidated? You're looking at a true and blue cowboy buddy and if you want a beating then by all means let's lock up! Fuller: (grins) It'll be my pleasure. Fuller leaves. Bass pauses then cracks the whip right by Lance. Bass: I'll crack Miss Betsy any time I want! You got that! Commercial Break Hercules Ayala w/ Sonny King vs. Vic Dutro Ayala destroys his opponent then clamps on the bear hug, rams him into the turnbuckles and belly to belly suplexes him over for the easy pin. The fans boo as Sonny King gets in the ring and tapes up Ayala's hand. Ayala picks up Dutro and knocks him down with a hard right fist! Boos as the Central States Tag Champs The Movement join Ayala and King at the podium. King: The countdown is on! Carlos Colon! That was a message sent to you. At Parade of Champions, Ayala takes back his Central States title! Speaking of Parade of Champions, Lance did you see what the Movement did to the so called champions The Grapplers last week? They left them down and out baby. Lance: Yes they did but aren't you a bit worried about who the Grapplers partner will be at Parade of Champions? I mean you're in that match as well. King: Would you be worried if you had the Movement watching your back? Of course not. We're not the least bit worried and at Parade of Champions everybody will find out just who the real champions of the USWA are! The Movement will be riding high as usual. Whatley: Grapplers! We whooped you countless times and we're gonna have a good time doing it again! Conway: The powers that be have tried and tried to keep us down but as always we come out on top! Grapplers and whoever you bring, your days are done here! King: Spoken like true champions. Commercial Break "The Polynesian Prince" Siva Afi vs. "The Patrolman" Dale Veasey Both men will be in the upcoming battle royal. Veasey controls early with some rough offense and almost puts Afi out with a flying back elbow smash. Afi makes a huge comeback and wins the match with a flying cross body block! Afi remains undefeated in the USWA. Afi cuts a promo and puts over The Patrolman as a threat. Afi says he cant wait for the battle royal and holding up that trophy would be a career highlight. Commercial Break Tony "Simply the Best" St. Clair w/Les Thornton vs. Chief Joe Lightfoot Lightfoot wants that title shot bad and he starts off with fire as he works over St. Clair with arm drags, hip tosses and dropkicks. Lightfoot hoists St. Clair up for a vertical suplex but Thornton reaches in and trips Lightfoot. St. Clair falls on top 1..2..Lightfoot has his foot under the ropes. St. Clair gets up. Lightfoot rolls out of the ring and chases Thornton. Lightfoot refocuses and gets back in the ring but is met with a knee to the head by St. Clair. St. Clair hits a short arm clothesline and follows with a double arm floating suplex for the pin! Thornton gets in the ring and celebrates with St. Clair. Lightfoot staggers to the ropes and is on his knees. Thornton grabs the mic from the announcer. Thornton: Joseph, you put up a valiant effort but just came up short. It's now time to bow down and show respect for the man who is simply the best. St. Clair smiles and points for Lightfoot to bow. Lightfoot shakes his head and points at Thornton. Thornton: Now is the time! Are you a man of your word or are you the liar I thought you were? Lightfoot gets up but St. Clair and Thornton attack him. Thornton hits him with the mic. St. Clair stomps down on Lightfoot. Thornton grabs Lightfoot's head and forces him to bow. The fans go crazy as Rick Martel hits the ring! Thornton and St. Clair head out and warn Martel as Martel stares them down while standing over Lightfoot. Commercial Break Lance: I have to say I don't think Lightfoot should of bowed considering Les Thornton was a major distraction. I for one am glad Rick Martel came out. Well now we know Martel will be defending the TV title against Tony St. Clair. Martel better keep an eye on Les Thornton. Ok please welcome out Jerry "The King" Lawler! Massive cheers as Lawler comes out WHAM! He's nailed from behind by Adrian Adonis! The fans are going wild as these two fight all over the place! Adonis reaches in his tights and throws some substance in Lawler's face. Adonis grabs a tv cable and starts choking Lawler with it! Prelim wrestlers come out to stop the madness. Adonis drops the cable and backs up but then runs forward and nails Lawler with a stomp to the head. Lance: This has gotten out of control. We'll be right back Commercial Break Lance: Wow that was something else. Lawler was helped to the back and Adonis was escorted out of the building. At Parade of Champions I don't know if either one of them will survive that street fight. Coming out now are the USWA tag team champions The Grapplers. Ok I'm sure you have a lot to say about Sonny King and The Movement. Grappler 1: They did a number on us last week and we're still feeling it but Parade of Champions will be a night they'll never forget! Grappler 2: We've proven over and over again why we're the USWA champs and things wont change at Parade of Champions. Movement you're going to feel the pain! Grappler 1: Oh and Sonny King, just wait to you see who our partner is. Lance: Ok there you have it back to the ring. Karachi Vice vs. Harold Helms and Tom Johnston Makhan slams Helms then turns him over and hits a big splash on his back then tags in Gama. Gama applies the camel clutch and it's all over. Boos as they head to the podium. Lance: You both saw last week as Keith has joined his brother Bruce in the fight. Gama: This is fantastic news! Now we can destroy 2 Harts! We will rid them both at Parade of Champions and then Karachi Vice will rule the USWA! Makhan: Gama turned my life around and finally helped me find my true self. To pay him back I will destroy the Harts in his honor! Commercial Break Kerry Von Erich vs. Randall Reed The fans are on their feet and cheering as Kerry hits the discuss punch for the 1..2..3! Kerry pumps his fists to the cheering fans. Lance: Watch out! Nick Bockwinkel hits the ring and chops Kerry behind the knee! Bock works over the leg then drapes it on the bottom rope. Bock drops several body drops on the leg. Officials hit the ring as Bock gets up waves his arms, smiles and heads to the podium. Lance: Bockwinkel, you're suppose to conduct yourself as a champion. It looks to me like you might be worried about Kerry Von Erich. How else would you explain those cheap tactics? Bock: I am not the least bit worried. All I did was expose young Kerry Von Erich as the wrestling fraud he is. The man is weak and quite frankly doesn't deserve a shot at this prestigious title. The greatest title in wrestling. It's only fitting that the greatest wrestler which of course is me, holds the greatest title. Good day Mr. Russell. Lance: I'm not sure I agree with his logic. We'll see what happens when they meet at Parade of Champions. Our big main event when we come back. Commercial Break The Armstrong's (Bob, Scott and Steve) vs. Tully Blanchard w/Baby Doll and Southern Justice It's just a brawl from the moment the bell rings. The Ref shows a lot of leniency. It's straight up back and forth for a few minutes. A pier six brawl happens. Steve and Mark Batten fight through the ropes. Scott and Brad Batten are fighting in the corner. Tully lunges at Bob but Bob back drops him over the top rope! Bob runs over and grabs Brad Batten from behind and hits a back suplex 1..2..3! Lance: What a match! The Armstrong's win a battle tonight but can they all win the war at Parade of Champions? We'll find out in 2 weeks time. Listen to this main event for next week's show. Jerry Lawler and Kerry Von Erich will face Nick Bockwinkel and Adrian Adonis! I cant believe it but it is happening. Stay tuned for a post show Parade of Champions update with Jerry Jarrett. Fans. 5. Like the Mulligans/Long Riders match. This is going to be a rough feud. That sneaky Mr. Fuji helps his man Kabuki get a co win over the Soul man. I'm enjoying their matches. I cant imagine the pop Hogan and the RnR Express got! Must of been insane. Nikita gets his first title defense with a solid win over Wildfire. Olympia and Sawyer go the limit. Good match up. Tsuruta scores a nice win over Wahoo. I think we're just getting warmed up with Savage and Link. That headbutt to the ref shows how unhinged Link is. However, Savage can get a bit crazy also. Hansen gets some measure of revenge by taking Uncle Ivan down. Good grief what a main event! Flair and Piper win a big battle as Flair makes the Universal Heartthrob submit. Right now Flair has bragging rights on the figure four.
  6. Couple of fun house shows. Flamboyance is moving up in Pacific. You've done a great job building these guys into something unique. Man, Blackwell and Nord make one devastating team! No matter what Taylor continues to retain his TV title. Money making main event as Billy Jack and Bam Bam get an impressive win over the Freebirds. Smothers and Starr take their feud to another level as Starr wins this wild match in the concession stand. Rude and Fernandez might be wearing gold soon. Orton will be a tough opponent for Zenk and his Ca. Title Steamboat and Muraco put on another classic. This time Steamboat pulls out the win. The Playboy Club retain again! They're having a great reign.
  7. Nothing like the WWF at MSG. Morales comes home and opens the show with a hot win. For some reason watching Hillbillies go at it with 80s rockers just works. Horner makes quite the debut as he takes Mr. Magnificent to the limit. Gunslingers pick up a nice win over current rivals The Tribe. Savoldi is a great young and exciting talent but Sheik just has to much experience. I'm sure Savoldi learned a lot in that match. Heenan Family get a big win tonight. That was a fun match. I'm glad Candy and DJ got in their moments. Young David pays his dues and takes the fall. Fantastics are tuned up and ready for the Bulldogs as they take down the tough Highwaymen. You know Slaughter and Volkoff had a ton of heat in their match. Good ending as the Gunslingers and Red Scare seem to be heading for a showdown. WOW! The Superstar Slams Studd! I cant imagine the reaction that got. That was huge. This really sets up Graham as a serious threat to Backlund. What a way to end the show with a all-star 6 man tag match. LOL, Backlund just walks out on his partners. Muldoon better have a game plan for Andre because he felt his power tonight. Cant wait for more Garden shows.
  8. WOW! What a show and I cant believe it was on free TV. Great stuff! RnR finally get the decisive win over the Ca. Connection but Los Mega Stars look to be next up. That's what I liked about RnR, they could have great programs with any team. Piper's Pit is quickly becoming must see TV. Another wild episode as the Macho Man comes to town and introduces Liz as his manager. OH YEA! Missing Link spoils the debut by headbutting Savage. I like how Link is being used. This will be a good start for Savage. Nothing is resolved between Flair and Landel which is ok with me because we're going to get more! Hogan makes his triumphant debut pinning the HTM. Looks like HulkaMania is going to run wild in the AWA! The Russians/Hall and Hennig will fight again. I'm enjoying this feud and it's really elevating the team of Hall and Hennig. DAMN! What an ending! Loved the quick brutal demolition type match. Hansen looks like a beast but Nikita prevails and wins the title! Hansen quickly gets his heat back with the backstage brawl. The reign of the Russian Nightmare has begun! Awesome show Gene!

    USWA

USWA @ The Freedom Hall Civic Center 5-3-85 Bruce and Keith Hart vs. 2 Local Talents Keith gives the Hart's the win after a flying body press "Crippler" Rip Oliver vs. "The Patrolman" Dale Veasey Veasey is a tough customer but Oliver comes back and gets the win with a flying forearm blast from the middle ropes The Syndicate w/"Cool" Carl Fergie vs. The Club w/Arnold Skaaland The Club has the match in control until Fergie distracts George which allows Adias to nail him with a high knee and roll him up for the win. After the match Skaaland is visible frustrated. "The Polynesian Prince" Siva Afi (Subbing for Buzz Tyler) vs. "The World's Strongest Man" Ted Arcidi Afi is in serious trouble when Arcidi has him clamped in a powerful bearhug. Afi headbutts his way out of it. Arcidi falls to the canvas, then Afi swings off the ropes and hits a diving headbutt for the pin. Scott and Steve Armstrong vs. Southern Justice Another wild match between these feuding teams. The Ref and Scott Armstrong take a bump which allows Southern Justice to double team Steve and double hot shot him on the top rope to get the pin! Will this get settled when they meet at Parade of Champions in a tornado match? "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley vs. "The Memphis Mafia Man" Johnny Rich w/"Cool" Carl Fergie Another match with a lot of heat as these guys have quite the brawl. Cooley hits the bulldog but Fergie interferes to cause a DQ. Cooley gets up and punches Fergie but Rich jumps him from behind and gives him a stomping before leaving. Another score to settle at Parade of Champions. Central States Champ Carlos Colon vs. TV Champ Rick Martel These two class act champions give the fans an amazing wrestling match that ends in a 20 minute draw. After the match both men shake hands and hug. The Fabulous Blondes vs. The Master G's Pretty solid and fasted paced match. Master G's are in control until Carl Fergie comes out and distracts the Ref which allows the Syndicate to come out and yank Morrow off the apron and ram him into the steel post. Wells runs over but the Blondes ambush him and hit a double suplex for the win! Once again the Blondes exit and celebrate with theatrics. The Syndicate run in the ring and nail Wells with a double gut buster! Fergie raises their arms while the fans pelt the with trash. USWA Champ Nick Bockwinkel, Adrian Adonis and Tully Blanchard w/Baby Doll vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler, Kerry Von Erich and "Bullet" Bob Armstrong These guys give the fans 50 minutes of back and forth action. In the end a pier six brawl breaks out and Armstrong rolls up Tully for the 1..2..3! Kerry back drops Bock and Bock bumps out of the ring then grabs his title and heads to the back. Meanwhile, Lawler and Adonis are brawling all over the place.
  10. David kicks off things with a win. I could tell Bruno liked commentating this one. Right on! The IC title is coming. LOL loved the Rio reference. The battle royal will be a lot of fun and a nice bonus for SNME. Patera looks strong in his debut and is a favorite to win the battle royal. Black Bart gives a great promo and says he's ready for the battle royal. 1985 was defiantly Stallone's year. Fantastics are tuned up and ready for the Bulldogs. I agree with Alfred, they better watch out for Heenan. OH MAN! Dr. D has arrived and already is causing big trouble. I really liked this segment. It did a great job building up their match next week. D's rant was priceless. "You like the mailman"? HAHAHAHA The Red Scare is here! I hope these guys get a strong push. Last week's set up was great and this week they have a devastating debut. Of course Andre has got to end the show. It was always special when he wrestled on TV. Muldoon is looking to make a name for himself but I'm not sure if he should be playing mind games with Andre. Another solid show. SNME is being built up so well.

    USWA

USWA TV @ The Civic Auditorium Knoxville TN 5-1-85 Footage from the Hammond Center is shown of Carlos Colon defeating Hercules Ayala for the Central States Title! Lance Russell: Hello again wrestling fans and welcome to another edition of USWA wrestling here on the USA Network. Congratulations to Carlos Colon on winning the Central States Title. I'll be speaking with the new champ later on tonight. After weeks of Sonny King and The Movement badmouthing the Grapplers, the Grapplers have responded with a challenge and that match will happen tonight! We all saw the brawl between the Armstrong's, Southern Justice and Tully Blanchard last week. Jerry Jarrett has banned all 6 men from the building tonight however, next week they will battle it out in the main event. So much going on... Boos as Sonny King, Central States Tag Champs the Movement and Hercules Ayala storm the podium. King: I've been saying for months that the powers that be have been against us from day one! Now its been proven without a shadow of a doubt. Colon won the Central States title and guess who wasn't able to be there? That's right...me! What a crock of Lance: Ok be careful King: I've had it! Ayala will get his title back and has a challenge for you Carlos Colon. Ayala: Colon! We have gone back and forth for as long as I can remember. Now you have my title. Let's settle this the old way. Parade of Champions, you and me taped fist match for the Central States title! King: There you have it. Ayala will get his title back plain and simple. Now as for those masked idiots the Grapplers. Tonight you meet your demise as the real champs The Movement will take you down! Again, plain and simple. Lance: A lot of angry men. Tonight could be another wild night. Let's go to the ring. Chief Joe Lightfoot vs. Trent Watkins Lightfoot looks sharp tonight and finishes things off with a tomahawk chop from the middle ropes to get the pin. Lightfoot cuts a promo on being in the upcoming Parade of Champions Battle Royal. Lance: Thank you Joe, you're defiantly a class act. Before Joe can exit. Boos as Les Thornton escorts Tony St. Clair to the podium. Les: You said class act so I just assumed you were talking about Tony St. Clair. We all found out that Mr. St. Clair finally gets an overdue shot at the TV title at Parade of Champions. Rick Martel you've had a remarkable run but that will end on May 23rd. You are an amazing wrestler but not even you are in the same league as Tony St. Clair. This man is on an entirely different level than any other wrestler in the world. And the world will see that on May 23rd. Les leaves and Tony follows and bumps Lightfoot. Lightfoot: Hey hold on. You seem very confident in your skills. Well how about we have a match next week and you put your TV title shot on the line? Les: You don't deserve a response from the man who is simply the best. I'll go ahead and say we accept. However when Mr. St. Clair wins you must bow down to him in the middle of the ring like the peasant you are. Lightfoot steps up but Les and Tony just laugh him off and walk away. Lightfoot: The match is on! Lance: How about that, Joe Lightfoot and Tony St. Clair will meet next week. Who knows, it might be Martel defending against Joe Lightfoot at Parade of Champions. Commercial Break Adrian Adonis vs. Steven Jacobs Adonis just pummels his opponent until finally finishing him off with the DDT! The fans boo as Adonis picks Jacobs up and hits another DDT! Adonis goes to the outside and throws a chair into the ring. Adonis looks in the camera and yells "This is for you Lawler" Adonis gets in the ring and picks up the lifeless body. Lance: Oh no he's going to DDT the young Jacobs on that chair! Please don't do that! The fans erupt as JERRY LAWLER hits the ring and pounds away on Adonis! Adonis fights back and these two really go at it. Officials and prelim wrestlers hit the ring to break it up. Lawler and Adonis break free a couple times and continue fighting into the commercial. Commercial Break Lance: Oh my, things have settled down. Poor Steven Jacobs was carried out on a stretcher. Thank goodness Lawler showed up when he did. Those two are heading for an explosive street fight at Parade of Champions. Speaking of Parade of Champions, Ron Slinker has sent us a tape from Japan with a special challenge for Parade of Champions. Ron Slinker is standing there. Behind him are 2 Japanese wrestlers with their arms folded and menacing looks. Slinker: American Made! You have been nothing but trouble and I'm putting a stop to that. Behind me is the Japanese Furies, Junji Hirata and Yoshiaki Yatsu, two of the most devastating wrestlers Japan has to offer. They have one mission to accomplish and that is to destroy you at Parade of Champions. Let's just see how tough you boys are when you have to face an unbeatable force like the Furies. At Parade of Champions, vengeance will be mine! Lance: Some very threatening words by Ron Slinker. Joining me now is Don Kernodle and Corporal Kirchner known as American Made. Well you guys just heard the challenge issued. Kernodle: Slinker, you started all this and we've beaten you and a variety of partners numerous times. If you think you can bring in another team and intimidate us...think again! Kirchner: That's right! Slinker we gladly accept! Lance: Ok, there you have it. A very interesting match for Parade of Champions. Back to the ring. The Club w/Arnold Skaaland vs. The Fabulous Blondes These teams have been going to 10 minute draws on the loops and tonight they get some TV time. Pretty fun back and forth match. About 8 minutes in, the Blondes are double teaming Crews in the corner. George has enough and runs in. As the Ref is guiding George back, the Blondes hit a double suplex on Crews to get the pin! Blondes exit and celebrate outside the ring like they just won the lottery. George attends to Crews while Skaaland is frustrated and questioning George. Commercial Break Lance: I'm here with Arnold Skaaland and the Club. Arnold you looked a bit frustrated. Skaaland: That's because I am. Look boys I promised to elevate you to another level but you cant make mistakes like that. I've told you that you have to be focused, aware and smart at all times. You didn't follow those instructions and look what happened. George: Arnold, I'm sorry, I just couldn't watch and let my partner get double teamed like that. Skaaland: Alright alright, what's done is done time to move on. I just talked with Jarett in the back and he's granted us another match with the Fabulous Blondes at Parade of Champions. How's that sound? Crews: Sounds great and we promise a different outcome. Skaaland: (puts his towel around Crews' neck) That a boy! Lance: Ok back to the ring Bulldog Bob Brown vs. Gary Williams Brown punches, stomps and bites Williams before body slamming him down and finishing him off with a standing legdrop! Boos as Brown goes to the podium. Brown: You know there's a lot of so called tough guys saying they're going to win the Parade of Champions battle royal. You people are looking at the winner. Yea that's right, I'm the one that's going be to be holding that trophy and I'm the one walking away with 50 grand! Commercial Break Lance: Now I would like to bring out the new Central States Champion, Carlos Colon. The fans cheer as Colon smiles and pumps his fist to them then shakes Lance's hand. Lance: Congratulations Carlos. Well you heard the challenge made from Hercules Ayala. He wants you in a taped fist title match at Parade of Champions. Colon: I worked long and hard to win this prestigious title and I'm ready for all comers. Ayala you want a taped fist match? I accept! Lance: Alright another match set for Parade of Champions. Back to the ring. "Mean" Mike Miller vs. William Hillman Miller has made quite a bit of money as a hired henchman. Carl Fergie recently paid him to take out Rip Oliver. Tonight Miller lives up to his Mean moniker as he's all over Hillman. Miller hits a backbreaker then goes to the top rope and crashes down with a flying legdrop for the pin! Miller picks up Hillman and hurls him out of the ring before heading to the podium. Miller: Oliver! Boy I gave you a beating last week and now you're stupid enough to challenge me at Parade of Champions. That suits me just fine because now I get to finish the job once and for all! Commercial Break "Avalanche" Buzz Tyler vs. Todd Rooney Tyler simply overpowers his opponent and finishes him off with a running powerslam! Tyler heads to the podium. Tyler: Ted Arcidi! We aint done buddy and I cant wait to see you in the Parade of Champions battle royal because you're going over and out! Tyler exits and Carl Fergie and the Syndicate enter. Lance: Can I help you Carl? Fergie: Once again you four eyed nerd it's Cool Carl Fergie! Now the entire wrestling world is talking about me coming out of retirement for the big battle royal. Oh yea everybody is talking about it. That trophy is going to look good in my living room and my living room is going to look great after I put 50,000 dollars into it. I'm going to get me a top of the line recliner chair. You know the kind that have a holder for your drink. Now get ready four eyes because you're going to see tag team perfection as Brian Adias and Gary Young are set for action. Master G's! You better see what you're in for at Parade of Champions. After they see this, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Gerry Morrow skips town and leaves little Georgie Wells on his own. The Syndicate vs. Sam and Sean Smith Young and Adias are in top forum tonight and hit the double gut buster for the win! Commercial Break Lance: Please welcome out Bruce Hart. Bruce good to see you back. I know things have been tough as Karachi Vice took out your partner John Quinn. I have to ask what's next? Bruce: I want to wish John Quinn a speedy recovery. I feel like this is all my fault. He came in to help me and he shouldn't of went out like that. Karachi Vice! This isn't over and I will get payback for Quinn. At Parade of Champions you will go down because here's who will be my partner. Cheers as Keith Hart comes out. Keith: Nothing is stronger than blood and Karachi Vice you're going to find out why the Hart's are the toughest family in wrestling. John Quinn, this one's for you! Bruce: The Hart's are back and Karachi Vice get ready because we're coming after you! Lance: Ok, the Hart's are reunited. Back to the ring. "Outlaw" Ron Bass vs. Vic Dutro Bass looks angry tonight and takes it all out on Dutro. Bass finishes him off with the gourdbuster! Bass grabs Miss Betsy and goes to the podium. Lance flinches as Bass cracks his whip. Bass: Just what the hell is going on?! I was suppose to face Colon at Parade of Champions for a shot at the USWA title and now that isn't happening. Just what the hell is that all about?! Bass cracks the whip and Lance flinches again. Lance: Please just relax. That makes me nervous. Things changed when Colon won the Central States title. Don't worry I heard you will be compensated. Another crack of the whip. Bass: The bottom line is nobody wants to face me because everybody is yellow! There is no competition here. You all are a bunch of gutless cowards! Cowards! Bass cracks the whip and Lance just walks away. Commercial Break NON TITLE MATCH USWA Tag Champs The Grapplers vs. Central States Champs The Movement w/Sonny King Both teams are in the ring pointing and yelling at each other. WHAM! Sonny King nails Grappler 1 across the back with a chair! Grappler 2 looks over and the Movement kick him and hit a Double Russian Leg Sweep! Sonny hits Grappler 1 several times on the back with the chair. The Movement pick up Grappler 2 and hold him while Sonny cracks him over the head with the chair! Sonny and The Movement stand tall over the fallen Grapplers. Commercial Break Lance: The Grapplers had to be helped out of here. That was purely despicable. Jerry Jarrett comes to the podium. Jarrett: I've said this before and I meant it. Parade of Champions will be about getting things resolved and this will be resolved. At the Parade of Champions, it will be a 6 man tag match. The Movement along with Sonny King. That's right since King wants to get involved he will. They will take on the Grapplers and a partner of their choice. It's happening! Lance: Wow what a bombshell. I think he's right, so much will be resolved at Parade of Champions. Speaking of that historic card. I want to end the show with some pre recorded comments from both Nick Bockwinkel and Kerry Von Erich as they will meet for the USWA title at Parade of Champions. Footage is shown from last week as Bock nailed Kerry with the title busting him open. Bock then clamped on the Indian Deathlock as the show ended. We go to a swimming pool and Bock is sitting on a chair soaking up some sun. Bock: I'm still having a tough time accepting the fact that I have to defend this title against Kerry Von Erich in Texas of all places. I'm not going to say this is a conspiracy but one has to wonder. Is it because I'm a Californian? Yea those good ol folks in Texas just cant stand the fact that we are superior in every way. So it upsets me that Kerry Von Erich is the one I have to face. It upsets me that I'm being told he gets a chance to be champion. He runs around living a lifestyle that is undeserving of being a champion. Now, I admit Kerry is athletic, talented and tough but when it comes to wrestling quite frankly he comes up short. If there was one man in the world who I thought could beat me for this title, Kerry Von Erich would be last on the list. When it's all said and done, this title is going to stay where it rightfully belongs...with me. The next shot is in a gym with Kerry sitting on a bench. Kerry: Nick Bockwinkel! You tried to take me out but brother you failed miserably! You sit there and bad mouth Texas and all its people but brother this Texan whipped your butt on national TV and I'm damn sure going to do it again! I always follow through with what I say and at Parade of Champions I'm taking that title! Kerry sits back and starts hitting the leg extensions. 12. Great job with Paul Boesch. You really have him down. The Army of Darkness is taking over. Who can stop them? I like Gary Royal's Lone Star gimmick and it seems to be working wonders for him as he takes the Jr. Title. Props to Sam Houston for going toe to toe with Purple Haze. Awesome main event as Funk retains against Kevin Von Erich.
  13. WOW! Didn't see Snuka coming in as Orton's partner! That was big time. Looking forward to watching an unhinged heel Snuka. Playboy Club makes a huge statement. Poor Del Ray is going to need some partners. Smothers and Starr really go at it and this feud is elevating. Muraco beats Perez but Perez is gaining a lot of fans and experience. Bam Bam shines in the 6 man tag and is rewarded with a title match. Damn, Gordy vs. Bam Bam will be one hard hitting ,match up.
  14. USWA would like to pick up Ron Fuller.
  15. Good grief Gold Rush is going to be epic and it's on free TV!!!!! LOL Fuji's promo was right on the money. His new team should cause some damage. Kabuki better get ready because the Soul Man is coming after him. The Axe, Curt and Hall are pretty riled up and even make some strong accusations. They get their big rematch next week with the Russians. I liked that they're fired up. Gives them an edge. I knew Rich was going to need an ally and looks like he found one with Mr. Olympia. WOW! Talk about a bombshell! Albano is bringing in HULK HOGAN! Johnny V and the HTM might be on borrowed time. Hopefully Verne will let HulkaMania run wild in the AWA. HAHAHA Landel and Percy were so damn good in their segment. Landel goes from being in total shock to saying he's going to put Flair out again. Brilliant stuff. Cant wait for their match next week and you know it's going to get nuts with everybody handcuffed to each other. Pipers Pit debuts with none other than the Champ Stan Hansen. I love Hansen's character. He's ready to take on anybody and even gets into it with Piper. Russians enter and things get wild. I cant believe Nikita choked Piper. Then Hansen slaps Nikita! This is what Pipers Pit is all about. Another huge bombshell as Piper's guest next week is RANDY SAVAGE!!!!! RnR and Ca. Connection end the show with a draw. Looking forward to their extended time limit match next week. WOW! Flair, Hogan, Piper, Savage, Hansen, Nikita, Landel all in the same place! We're going to see some cool dream matches. Awesome show! Every segment meant something. Gold Rush is going to be off the charts!
  16. Freebirds open the show with a strong win. Perez and Rude put on a good match that goes to a double c.o. I would like to see these guys go at it a few more times. Shultz might be the craziest man in the game. A freak'n axehandle! Man this guy is nuts. I'm sure a lot of wrestlers are happy he's suspended. Blackwell looks good with that win over Strong. I would love to see Blackwell go after Gordy. That would draw some big money. Rose and Somers always find a away to win. The Vice Squad prove they are contenders. I'm enjoying Zenk's California Title run. He's defiantly been a fighting champ. Gordy and Red finally meet one on one. It's to bad Red had that knee injury. He puts up a fight but Gordy capitalizes and puts him down. Gordy has been a dominant champ.

    USWA

USWA @ The Hammond Civic Center 4-26-85 The Club w/Arnold Skaaland vs. The Fabulous Blondes Pretty solid opener as both teams are looking to rise the ranks. 10 minutes isn't enough time as they battle to a draw. After the match, tempers flare and both teams have a shoving match. Skaaland calms his guys down and escorts them out of the ring. Official Ruling- A Draw "Outlaw" Ron Bass vs. Chief Joe Lightfoot Lightfoot is on fire as he dominates early with some high octane offense. Bass turns things around with a clothesline then follows with the gourdbuster for the win. Winner of the Match- Ron Bass "The Polynesian Prince" Siva Afi vs. "Bulldog" Bob Brown Afi is undefeated since arriving to the USWA and the Bulldog wants to put an end to that tonight. Afi is in serious trouble as Brown takes it to him. Brown hurls Afi to the outside. Afi gets on the apron at the Ref's count of 8. Brown grabs Afi but Afi nails him with a shoulder thrust and follows with a sunset flip over the ropes for the 1..2..3! Winner of the Match- Siva Afi American Made vs. "Captain" Ron Slinker and "The Patrolman" Dale Veasy Slinker has teamed with multiple partners to try and beat American Made but so far has come up short. Tonight Slinker enlists The Patrolman. Veasey and Slinker give American Made a run for their money but in the end Slinker takes a Fallaway Slam from Kirchner to eat another pin. Winners of the Match- American Made "Avalanche" Buzz Tyler vs. "The World's Strongest Man" Ted Arcidi Since coming to the USWA, Arcidi has targeted Tyler. Tyler is game tonight as he takes it to Arcidi. After a not so pretty 5 minutes, Tyler is punching away on Arcidi in the corner. Arcidi grabs Tyler's legs and takes him down. Arcidi puts his feet on the turnbuckles and pushes Tyler's legs forward as the Ref counts 1..2..3! Winner of the Match- Ted Arcidi Central States Title Bout Hercules Ayala (C) vs. Carlos Colon Sonny King is booked elsewhere tonight which probably makes Colon happy. The bell rings and these two rivals go at it non stop. It doesn't take long before both men are bleeding. Ayala takes control with an eye rake, kick to the mid section and gut wrench suplex but cant put Colon away. Ayala angrily stomps on Colon then picks him up and slams him down. Ayala hops on the middle ropes and comes down with a knee drop 1..2..Colon gets his shoulder up. Ayala bites Colon's bloody head then chokes away. Ayala swings Colon to the ropes and goes for a back drop but Colon kicks him. Colon fires up and punches away on Ayala. Ayala gauges the eyes and swings Colon to the corner and charges in but Colon moves. Ayala hits hard and staggers back. Colon hops on the middle ropes and hits a diving clothesline 1..2..3!!!! The fans erupt!!!! The Winner of the Match and NEW Central States Champion- Carlos Colon! "The Memphis Mafia Man" Johnny Rich w/"Cool" Carl Fergie vs. Gino Brito Jr. Rich controls early by attacking Brito (Fergie was distracting him) at the bell. Brito makes a great comeback and has Rich on the run. Brito is firing on all cylinders until Fergie gets on the apron to distract him. Brito runs and takes a swing but Fergie hops down in a hurry. Rich gets up and nails Brito from behind then rolls him up with a handful of tights 1..2..3! Winner of the Match- Johnny Rich Jerry "The King" Lawler and the Armstrong's (Bob, Steve and Scott) vs. Adrian Adonis, Southern Justice and Tully Blanchard w/Baby Doll Talk about a main event! The Ref tries his best but the match gets out of control several times. This match has the fans up and cheering for 45 minutes. Everybody gets their shine. Even Baby Doll gets her slaps in. Things get crazy every time Bob and Tully have an exchange. Things get even more wild when Lawler and Adonis have their moments. After 40 minutes of non stop action everybody is in the ring brawling. The Ref just lets it go. Tully and Bob are on the outside brawling. Scott and Steve are going toe to toe with the Batten's. Lawler and Adonis are having a furious exchange. The Armstrong's double clothesline Mark Batten out of the ring. Lawler back drops Adonis over the top rope. Lawler hops on the middle ropes. The Armstrong's nail Brad Batten with a double dropkick and Lawler follows with a diving fist drop 1..2..3! MASSIVE POP! Lawler gets up to celebrate but Adonis runs in the ring and nails him with a clothesline from behind! Tully and Bob are still fighting on the outside. Baby Doll doesn't even want to try and interfere. The Armstrong's go after Adonis but Adonis gets out of there. Baby Doll finally manages to get Tully out. Bob gets back in the ring. They help Lawler up and the fans cheer as they stand tall. Winners of the Match- Jerry Lawler and The Armstrong's
  18. USWA releases John Quinn and picks up Keith Hart.
  19. The WWF is really starting to hit its stride. Nice debut for Savoldi. His exciting style will get him over with the fans. Hillbillies get the win and I'm sure will be looking for a title shot soon. Backlund gives yet another priceless promo. William Graham LOL. I hope Backlund has a long run as champ. I will never get tired of reading these promos. Speaking of Graham, he looks ready for his big shot at Backlund. Everybody loves a good comeback story and this is a good one. I loved the Blassie/Nikolai segment. They traveled a long way and it pays off as Nikolai reunites with his comrade Boris. I'm really glad you got Boris. Looking forward to this version. Oh man I miss Tower Records. Sunshine reveals herself and drops a bombshell as she introduces her associate Jimmy Hart! Hart then introduces Big John Studd! This is going to be one dangerous stable. Cant wait for the Bulldogs/Fantastics match! SNME is going to rock. Your format is so good and realistic. You have captured 80s WWF perfectly.

    USWA

USWA TV @ The Civic Auditorium, Knoxville TN 4-24-85 Lance Russell: Hello everybody and welcome to another edition of USWA wrestling here on the USA Network. Well fans, the road to Parade of Champions has started. On May 23rd at Texas Stadium, Nick Bockwinkel will defend the USWA title against Kerry Von Erich. Both men will be out here later as I present them with the official contract. Jerry Jarrett will be here with a special Parade of Champions segment following tonight's show. Lot's of huge matches set for tonight including Tony St. Clair going one on one with Gino Brito Jr. The TV title will be on the line as Rick Martel defends against Wendell Cooley. We're going to open the show with a blockbuster of a match as Tully Blanchard goes up against current rival Bob Armstrong. Fans get ready because this is going to be a wild one. Tully Blanchard w/ Baby Doll vs. "Bullet" Bob Armstrong Both wrestlers start brawling as the Ref signals for the bell. The fans are up and cheering as these guys tear into each other for a few minutes. Bob gets the upper hand, swings Tully to the ropes and gives him a big back body drop. Tully bounces around and staggers up as Bob clotheslines him down. Baby Doll gets on the apron. Bob heads towards her. WHAM! Bob is jumped from behind by Southern Justice! The Batten's put the boots to Bob. The fans roar as Steve and Scott Armstrong hit the ring! Everybody is fighting into the commercial break. Commercial Break Lance: My goodness that escalated into a full scale brawl. This feud has gotten out of control. Switching gears, last weekend in Dallas we saw George Wells return to the USWA with Gerry Morrow as they attacked the Syndicate and costed them their match with the Club. Before they hit the ring, I wanted to get a word in. The fans cheer as George Wells and Gerry Morrow head to the podium. Wells: Oh it feels good to be back and brother it felt great to get some payback on that ungrateful and cowardly Brian Adias. Brian you blamed me for losing the Central States tag titles. So you beat me down and then you went and aligned yourself with Carl Fergie and found a new partner Gary Young. Brother that's fine with me because I went and found a partner I can depend on. This here is Gerry Morrow and you can call us the Master G's! Adias, if you want some more, come and get it! The Master G's vs. Gary Williams and Trent Watkins The Master G's are on fire tonight and win the match with a double running shoulder tackle! Commercial Break "The Polynesian Prince" Siva Afi vs. Neil Curry Afi slams Curry down and climbs to the top rope then crashes down with a diving headbutt to get the pin! The fans cheer as Afi does a little dance and flashes the hang loose sign. Lance: Impressive win for Siva Afi. I've been told that Siva will be one of eight men in the upcoming Parade of Champions Battle Royal. Speaking of that, another man that will be involved is Ted Arcidi. Boos as Arcidi comes on screen and flexes. Lance: Ted Arcidi, for some reason you have targeted Buzz Tyler. Just what is your beef with him? And by the way, he will also be in the battle royal. Arcidi: It's simple! There's only room for one big man and you're looking at him. He calls himself the Avalanche...HA! Look at him and look at me. He don't even compare. I'm going to mow him down in that battle royal and then I'm going to press him up and throw him over the top rope! I'm winning the battle royal and aint nobody gonna stop me! Commercial Break "The Patrolman" Dale Veasey vs. Sam Smith Veasey swings Smith to the ropes and puts him down with a flying back elbow smash then hops on the middle ropes and crashes down with a knee drop for the pin! Lance announces that Veasey will be in the Parade of Champions Battle Royal. The Fabulous Blondes vs. William Hillman and Vic Dutro The Blondes hit a double free fall slam on Dutro and follow with a double suplex for the win. The fans boo as they strut to the podium. Regal: Hey Chick, did you see the Club last week? Chick: New look same old losers Regal: (Laughs) You talk about two guys with zero charisma. So what do they do? They take advice from a 90 year old. Pathetic! They're the club alright. Chick: Yea the boring old timers club. They walk away laughing. Lance: They better watch themselves. Mike George and Art Crews certainly get the job done in the ring. Commercial Break "Crippler" Rip Oliver vs. Mark McCall Oliver hops up on the middle ropes. McCall staggers up and Oliver nails him with a flying forearm blast for the pin! Oliver raises his fist to the fans and WHAM! He's clotheslined from behind by Mean Mike Miller!! Miller pounds away on Oliver then slams him down. Miller climbs to the top rope and crashes down with a flying leg drop! The fans boo as Miller goes back to the top rope and crashes down with another flying leg drop! The fans boo as Carl Fergie heads to the podium with a briefcase. Miller stomps on Oliver then exits the ring to join Fergie. Lance: Alright, just what was that all about? Jumping a man from behind, I should of known you were behind this Fergie. Fergie: Shut up Nerd! For the millionth time, it's Cool Carl Fergie. Now that sap you see lying in the ring has attacked and abused me several times and so I went and did something about it. I went and got the number one henchmen in the business. Mr. Miller, this belongs to you. Fergie hands him the briefcase. Miller opens it and smiles at the money then shakes Fergie's hand. Miller: We can do business anytime. Miller exits. Fergie: Now listen up because tonight is Fergie's night. First off, Master G's you made a terrible mistake and boys you will pay because I made sure the Syndicate will get payback at Parade of Champions. And then we'll prove why George Wells is a weak link. Wendell Cooley! Last week you got so lucky. This is a warning, Johnny Rich isn't through with you. And now for the biggest announcement of the year. I am coming out of retirement and will participate in the Parade of Champions battle royal! Yes! That's right, I'm coming back and I'm going to win the 50 grand and that beautiful trophy. I told you four eyes, this is Fergie's night! Lance: Oh yea what a bombshell. That man is really full of it. Commercial Break Tony "Simply the Best" St. Clair w/Les Thornton vs. Gino Brito Jr. Pretty good TV match as both men display some solid wrestling skills. Brito takes control and executes a vertical suplex. Brito swings off the ropes but Thornton trips him. Brito staggers then turns around and heads towards Thornton. Thornton waves his arms in denial. St. Clair comes up from behind, Brito turns around and St. Clair nails him with several European uppercuts then hits a floating butterfly suplex for the 1..2..3! Lance: Well thanks to a bit of a distraction, St. Clair gets the win. Joining me now is Sonny King and the Central States Champ Hercules Ayala. King: Last week, the Movement called out the so called USWA tag champs the Grapplers and of course the Grapplers are nowhere to be found. Grapplers your time is coming and you best be ready. Now, I'm standing here with the most dominant Central States Champ in history, Hercules Ayala. Now everybody is talking about the Parade of Champions. Here's what I have to say. I'm so confident in Ayala that at Parade of Champions, we are issuing an open challenge to anybody man enough who wants to try and take his title. All I have to say is good luck to the poor slob who takes us up on that. Ayala: This title stays with me! Commercial Break Karachi Vice vs. Harold Helms and Frank Grimes Pure squash as Makhan hits a big splash and Gama follows with the Camel Clutch for the easy win. Boos as they head to the podium. Gama: I told you we were going to eliminate and destroy Bruce Hart and John Quinn. Last week on TV we got rid of Quinn and in Memphis we gave Bruce such a beating I'm positive he will never show his face here again! Mission accomplished! Commercial Break Lance: Please welcome out Jerry the King Lawler! Thundering cheers as Lawler walks out. Lance: We all heard the challenge made by Adrian Adonis last week. He wants you in a street fight at Parade of Champions. We saw Adonis make his return in Memphis and the two of you had quite a brawl. Jerry, will a street fight finally end all this? Lawler: That fat slob doesn't have to ask me twice. He wants a street fight? Damn right I accept! And Lance, I'll make certain this ends because Adonis isn't getting up after these fists pound on him! Lance: Ok, the King has spoken. Our TV title match when we come back. TV Title Bout Rick Martel (C) vs. "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley The match starts with a handshake. The first few minutes is fast paced and full of hip tosses, dropkicks, slams and near falls. Cooley takes control and almost pins Martel with a roll up. Martel comes back and applies the Boston Crab. Martel wrenches away. Cooley wont submit. The bell rings as the 10 minute time limit expires. Martel gets up and helps Cooley up. There's a bit of disappointment. An official comes out and says something to Lance Russell then walks over and tells the ring announcer. Lance: Fans, I've been told that this match will go into overtime and there will be a winner. The fans cheer as this is announced. Commercial Break The bell rings and the match starts back up. Martel hits a backbreaker then hops on the middle ropes and comes down with a forearm drop but Cooley moves. Cooley regroups. Cooley swings Martel to the ropes and back drops him. Martel staggers up and Cooley scoop slams him then hops on the middle ropes and comes down with an elbow drop 1..2..Martel gets his shoulder up. Cooley cant believe it. Cooley swings Martel to the ropes and goes for a back drop but Martel executes a sunset flip 1..2..3! Cooley kicks out a second to late. Martel and Cooley rise up. The Ref hands Martel the title. Martel extends his hand. Cooley shakes it and raises Martel's arm as the fans cheer. Lance calls both men over. Lance: What an outstanding match. That was great. Rick, last week Les Thornton made some remarks about his man Tony St. Clair wanting a shot. Martel: I want to first off congratulate Wendell Cooley on a tremendous match. There was no way I was going to overlook him. Tony St. Clair is a first rate wrestler and if he wants a shot that's fine by me. Martel shakes Cooley's hand and pats him on the back then leaves. Lance: Wendell you should be proud. Cooley: I gave Martel everything I had but just came up short. I defia…. WHAM! Johnny Rich blasts Cooley from behind then picks him up and rams him into the steel post! Cooley is busted open. Rich picks him up and slams his head on the apron! Cheers as Rick Martel runs out. Rich quickly runs away. Martel attends to Cooley. Boos as Thornton and St. Clair come out. Martel looks at them as several trainees come out to help Cooley. St. Clair and Thornton smile as St. Clair motions around his waist and points to Martel's title. Commercial Break American Made vs. Steven Jones and Todd Rooney Kirchner hits a fallaway slam on Rooney and tags in Kernodle who finishes things off with a fireman's carry slam! Lance informs us that next week, Ron Slinker has a special challenge for American Made. Commercial Break Lance: Fans, in my hand I have the official contract for the USWA Heavyweight title match at Parade of Champions. I want to bring out both the champion and challenger for their signatures. Cheers as Kerry Von Erich comes out smiling and pumping his fists. Boos as Bock comes out. Bock doesn't look like his usual arrogant and confident self. Lance: Ok gentleman all we need is for you to sign and this historic match will be official. Kerry, I'll start with you and feel free to say some words. Kerry smiles and signs. Kerry: Nick, I told you I have the upmost respect for your ability and I do. However, you disrespected all my hometown fans and the Sportatorium. I beat you on TV and now I'm set to win that title. Lance: Floor's yours champ. Bock hesitates then reads over the contract. Bock pauses then signs it. Bock: Kerry... last week was a fluke, plain and simple. I took things lightly and was caught off guard. You got lucky and that's all there is to it. Lightning wont strike twice especially in Texas. Speaking of Texas, I meant every word. There is no way I'm going to drop this prestigious title to you and in Texas. Mr. Russell, can you just imagine this man as champ? This lucky hick. Lance: Now wait a minute, just hold on. Kerry: (Steps closer) This lucky hick beat you once and brother I'll do it again! Lance: Relax gentleman. WHOA! Bock nails Kerry across his head with the title!!! Bock drags a bloody faced Kerry out and applies the Indian Deathlock right there in front of the podium as the show ends. Parade of Champions Segment w/Jerry Jarrett Jarrett: I want to thank all our loyal fans for their ongoing support. I'm very pleased with the USWA as we present the Parade of Champions on May 23rd from the Texas Stadium. The event will be broadcasted on Closed Circuit Television. There's a lot of bad blood and I want these feuds resolved. Here are the matches announced so far. USWA Heavyweight Title Bout Nick Bockwinkel (C) vs. Kerry Von Erich Central States Open Challenge Match Hercules Ayala (C) w/Sonny King vs. ??? Anything Goes Street Fight! 21. You haven't lost your touch my friend. Two nights of action packed wrestling that defiantly gave the fans more than their money's worth. The story telling was amazing especially with the Road Warriors getting double DQed out of the tournament in round 1. Cornette just might be a genius. Hart Foundation, Midnight Express, Varsity Club and Rockers came out looking strong. The Hart's win over Tully and Arn was a highlight. Rude and Bundy looked tremendous and make it to the finals. However, Sting and Windham were on fire and just couldn't be stopped. They were in total synch. They get the million and both of them are on an entire new level now. Congratulations to Sting and Windham!! Awesome job! All this and we also get some great single's matches. Loved that Piper/Snuka match, this time the roles being reversed. Snuka gives Piper quite a beating but Piper comes out the winner. Reed and Duggan will be a fun powerhouse feud. Cant wait for more. Flair gets the classic c.o. win over Luger. Luger gave him quite a scare but Flair just seems to always find a way. Cant wait for Flair/Piper!
  22. Man I cant wait for the Sherri/Richter match! It's been built up so well and it will be a big deal. Sherri and Valiant draw first blood but Wendi will be back with a vengeance. Sawyer and Slater are one brutal team. Rich better find a partner and quick. Nice segment with Flair at home and it gets better as he brings in Blackjack! HAHAHAHA! Landel gets better and better. So many great lines. Flapjack, Ken Doll, Rodney LOL. He's a highlight every week. HTM gives a very entertaining promo. Him and Valiant are perfect for each other. Really liked the highlights of the Hansen/Tsuruta match from Japan. It really seemed special. Hansen looks more than ready for Nikita. California Connection defeat the High Flyers and get a title shot next week. Cant wait for another RnR/C.C. match. Oh and next week we get PIPERS PIT!!!!!! AWESOME!!! Onto Detroit, Looks like Olympia has found an ally in Dino Bravo to go against Chicky and Madril. Thanks to Kabuki, HTM finally gets a win over Johnson. Kabuki better be ready for the Soul Man. Hall and Hennig get a nice payback win over the Long Riders. WOW! Nikita puts Wahoo down in 8 seconds! I said Hansen was ready for Nikita but Nikita is on a path of destruction. This match is going to be MONEY!! The fans in Detroit witnessed one hell of a main event as Piper and Mulligan get the DQ win over the Dynasty. This feud keeps elevating and I'm looking forward to more. Great job!
  23. Loved the history on why Orton turned on Boyd. Makes total sense. Orton gets some payback but it looks like there's going to be more. Thundercats get the co win and come out as credible threats for the Golden State Tag titles. Hayes and Red win the match but the Freebirds inflicted some damage on Red. Yamada retains against Starr but it looks like Poffo wants a shot. That's going to be a gem of a match. We get a big blow off cage match between Taylor and Adams! Their feud all boils down to this and it's Taylor that comes out the winner. This elevates Taylor and I wonder who's next. Great show!

    USWA

USWA @ The Cook Convention Center, Memphis TN 4-18-85 The Fabulous Blondes vs. 2 local talents Donovan and Regal look great tonight and win the match with a double free fall slam followed by a double suplex.
