Big win for Porkchop Cash over Lars. Muraco continues racking up wins. LOL! Fuji Vice on Continental would skyrocket ratings. Street and Bundy is such a fun feud. What a contrast of styles! I'm hoping Miss Linda and Skandor get into it LOL. Cooley and Olympia get a monster win and are rewarded with a shot at The Movement. The Great One falls to the Bullet. Cant get enough of Stud Stable vs. Freebirds. Stable take it tonight. Edger is right, even with Herc's help, Landel will have a ton to brag about getting a win over Gordy.

TNT Wrestling @ The Municipal Auditorium Nashville TN 9-15-84 The Real Deal vs. The Roughnecks Vaughn and McGhee use their quickness and high octane offense to throw Brooks and Sweetan off their game for a bit but age and treachery come into play and the match ends when The Roughnecks nail Vaughn with a double clothesline to get the pin. Mr. Wrestling 3 w/Mr. Wrestling 2 vs. 'The Golden Boy' Jerry Grey w/Johnny Valiant These two have been involved in quite the rivalry with both managers even getting involved. Tonight is no different. Good back and forth match. The finish gets wild as Valiant and Mr. Wrestling 2 start fighting on the outside and Mr. Wrestling 2 back drops Valiant on the concrete. Inside the ring, Grey swings Mr. Wrestling 3 into the corner and charges in but Wrestling 3 moves. Grey hits hard and falls back. He staggers up and Mr. Wrestling 3 nails him with the Million Dollar knee lift to get the pin! Curt Hennig vs. 'Mr. Electricity' Steve Regal Johnny Valiant is in the back recuperating so Regal is on his own. Hennig recently arrived in TNT and is gunning for Tully Blanchard. Fun fast paced match. Regal is looking pretty sharp tonight and pulls out some nice suplexes. Hennig comes back with fire as he nails Regal with a beautiful high dropkick, then follows with a Northern Lights Suplex for the pin! TNT Tag Team Title Bout Dick Murdoch and Adrian Adonis (C) vs. The Kansas Jayhawks These two teams will battle at Night of Champions but they have been having wild brawls around the loop. Tonight is more of the same as they fight to a double DQ! Even after the bell rings everybody keeps fighting. 'Superstar' Bill Dundee vs. 'Cool' Carl Fergie Dundee is gearing up for his TNT title shot with Lawler at Night of Champions. Tonight he takes on his rival from earlier this summer. Fergie controls a good portion with a variety of rule breaking tactics. Dundee comes back and bends some rules himself before slamming Fergie down and finishing him off with the Bombs Away! AWA Southern Tag Team Title Bout The Fabulous Ones (C) vs. The Enforcers w/Gene Anderson Gene has his men pumped up tonight as they really take it to the Fabs. Enforcers almost win it when Charland hit an inverted atomic drop on Keirn and DellaSerra followed with a running double axehandle to the head but Lane made the save. Keirn eventually made the hot tag to Lane but the Enforcers took control and worked over Lane for awhile. In the end a pier six brawl breaks out. The Fabs double dropkick DellaSerra out of the ring, Lane hits a superkick on Charland that sends him into a back suplex by Keirn for the win! Enforcers looked strong tonight but the Fabs retain. TNT Title Bout Jerry 'The King' Lawler (C) vs. Ivan 'Polish Power' Putski w/Ratamyus Oh man Putski and Ratamyus get massive heat tonight due to their recent horrific attack on Cocoa Samoa and Polynesian Power. The boos turn to a thundering roar when Lawler comes out. Lawler starts strong and flusters Putski. Tide changes when Ratamyus trips Lawler and he stumbles into a big forearm blast by Putski. Putski uses his power to work Lawler over. Putski uses slams, clotheslines, angry stomps and knee drops along with constant interference from Ratamyus but he cant put the King away. Lawler makes a comeback as he takes his strap down and punches away. Lawler hops on the middle ropes but Ratamyus grabs his foot. Lawler kicks him off but this gives Putski enough time to run over and slam him off the ropes. Putski swings Lawler into the corner and distracts the Ref while Ratamyus hops on the apron and chokes Lawler. Putski walks over but Lawler kicks him and fires away on Ratamyus. Lawler grabs the heads of Putski and Ratamyus and knocks them together. Ratamyus falls from the apron as Putski staggers back. Lawler scoop slams Putski, hops on the middle ropes and crashes down with a fist drop 1..2..3! The fans roar as Lawler holds up the TNT title. Ratamyus and Putski exit. Lawler continues to celebrate. Bill Dundee walks out and stares up at Lawler as Lawler stares back and holds up the title.

Welcome! Great first show as you waste no time in getting things going with a bang. Good showcases for Graham, Billy Two Eagles and of course the Road Warriors. Oh man a Road Warriors/Samoans dream match would be off the charts. HMMMMM, very interesting comments by Rocky Johnson. Interested in watching this develop. Roop gets a big win over Robinson establishing him as a top contender. Dibiase comes to town and retains against the Body. BIG NEWS of the Night! Magnum wins the world title!!!! Beating Backlund for the title sky rockets Magnum's credibility. Nice spot with Andre. This is huge and I cant wait to watch Magnum's run as champ.
-
Man, this was one intense show! Starts off with young Kendall getting a horrible beating as Young puts his head through a window! Barry gets revenge the next night with a tire iron! No wonder Gary Young wants to wait until Oct. 4th before he wrestles in TNT LOL. Kevin is the true claw master as he takes down Baron! Great blow off and on free TV! Dr. D is gold. Bock better watch out. Awesome main event! Damn, Bock is so clever. Steamboat has the match won until Kabuki appears and sprays the deadly green mist! As if that wasn't enough, Bock piledrives him down and out of WCCW. Always something big happening in WCCW.

Tito is quickly becoming a huge fan favorite. Adnan brings in Butch Moffit! Man, Adnan is really protecting Slaughter but Tito has some friends as well. Glad Bassarab gets the title shot. Him and Brad will tear the house down. The fans didn't get the 4 corners match but hey settling for a Bad News/Hansen-Bulldogs match isn't to bad. I would love to see Bad News and Hansen get a title run. OH SNAP! Orndorff turns on Heenan and Flair! Bret gets screwed and we know Stu is fuming. Some hot new storylines going on. Looking forward to seeing what happens with Stampede and Rocky Mountain. Whatever happens, Stu wont have to worry because it will be MONEY!

TNT Wrestling TV @ The Roanne Fieldhouse, Memphis TN 9-13-84 Lance Russell: Hello again wrestling fans and welcome to another edition of TNT wrestling here on the USA Network. Big matches set for tonight as Mr. Wrestling 2 and 3 will face Jerry Grey and his manager, Johnny Valiant. Big and I do mean big main event as Jumbo Tsuruta clashes with Mike Shaw. We have some disturbing footage to show you from a house show at the Armory in Evansville Indiana. More on that later. Also, we'll be hearing from TNT champ Jerry Lawler, Bill Dundee, and pre recorded comments from AWA world champ Ted Dibiase. Right now I want to bring out Tully Blanchard. Massive boos as Tully struts out in a suit and sunglasses. Lance: Tully, lets once again take a look at what went down on Labor Day. Footage is shown of Tully viciously attacking the commissioner Larry Hennig with a chair and eventually breaks his ankle. Lance: I cant believe you're smiling. Come on. You should be counting your blessings that you're even here and not serving a suspension. Tully: I'm not serving a suspension because deep down inside, that joke of a commissioner knows I was in the right. He makes some empty threat last week about him settling this his way. Do I look scared? Hennig has disrespected me from day one and that fat has been got exactly what he deserved! Now, onto bigger, better and more important thing.... The fans explode as Curt Hennig runs out and nails Tully!!!! Tully's sunglasses fly off as he falls forward. Tully tries to get up and run away but Curt grabs him by his suit and rips his jacket off, then rips Tully's shirt off! Curt punches away on Tully until officials come out to stop him. Tully runs away. Curt sees Tully's sunglasses on the ground and stomps on them. The fans are cheering as Curt goes to the podium. Curt: I'm here in TNT for one reason and that's to take Tully Blanchard down! My Dad is at home with a broken ankle and it's because of that gutless coward Tully Blanchard. On October 4th at Night of Champions, the commissioner has made the match official. Me and Tully one on one! Big Pop! Commercial Break TV Champ 'The Universal Heartthrob' Austin Idol (C) vs. Trent Watkins The fans cheer as Idol hoists Trent up and hits a shin breaker. Idol clamps on the Las Vegas Leglock and it's all over! Lance: TV champ Austin Idol, come on over. You heard the comments from Art Crews last week and you two will meet at Night of Champions. Idol: Lance, I heard him and brother I've got to say, that boy is way out of his league. He likes to call the times of his matches but baby I'm saying it right now, he wont last 5 minutes with the Universal Heartthrob! Idol holds up his title and winks at the camera. Commercial Break Brass Knuckles Champ Hercules Ayala vs. Gary Williams Ayala just squashes his opponent with hard hits and punches. Ayala executes a backbreaker then picks up Williams and clamps on a bear hug, slams him into the turnbuckles and belly to belly suplexes him over for the pin! Lance: Ayala, come on over. October 4th at Night of Champions, you get an AWA world title match with Ted Dibiase. Ayala: I'm am indestructible! Nobody can defeat me! Ted Dibiase! I will knock you out and take the world title! It belongs to me! Ayala exits Lance: Ok, Hercules Ayala just might do it. Now let's here some pre recorded comments from the AWA world champ. Dibiase: Night of Champions, I come back to TNT and this time it's Hercules Ayala. He's big, he's powerful and he's menacing. Let me tell you something Ayala, I've been known to knock a few guys out myself. Dibiase holds up his black gloved fist. Commercial Break Mr. Wrestling 2 and 3 vs. 'The Golden Boy' Jerry Grey and Johnny Valiant Mr. Wrestling 3 works over Grey as Valiant doesn't want to get in there. Grey rakes the eyes and body slams Wrestling 3. Now, Valiant wants in. Valiant works in several cheap shots but tags out when Wrestling 3 makes a comeback. Grey swings Wrestling 3 to the ropes and goes for a back drop but Wrestling 3 kicks him. Both men stagger back and make tags. Valiant stops in his tracks and back peddles but Wrestling 2 grabs him and just pounds away then hip tosses him over. Valiant staggers up. Grey runs in but Wrestling 3 clotheslines him down. Wrestling 2 hits the million dollar knee lift on Valiant 1..2..3! Huge Pop! Commercial Break Lance: With me now is Mr. Wrestling 2 and 3. Gentleman, that must of been one satisfying win. Wrestling 2: It was indeed Lance. Now that that's over, I want to go back to managing. I told everybody that Jessie Barr was the one to wear the mask and carry on the tradition. Now I want to focus on giving him all the knowledge I have. With that and his wrestling skills, I have no doubt he'll be wearing gold in the near future. Wrestling 3: All I can say is, I sure as hell wont let you down! 'Downtown' Denny Brown vs. Vic Dutro Brown works over Dutro with hip tosses, dropkicks and suplexes before pinning him with an Oklahoma Roll. Brown pumps his fists to the fans and heads to the podium. Lance: Good win tonight Denny. I want to address something that happened down in Florida recently. You won a contender's match for a title shot. I know you have something to say in regards to that. Denny: Yes I do but first I want to apologize to Gino Brito and Tony Parisi. After what happened last week, we talked things over and worked everything out. I know they have something in store for the Enforcers and that situation will soon be resolved. In regards to what happened in Florida. I did win a contender's match and I was informed that the title shot can be for any title in the AWA. That's great news for me and I'll make an announcement soon as to which title I'm going for. Stay tuned Lance. Commercial Break Kansas Jayhawks vs. Sam and Sean Smith Dutch swings Sam to the ropes and puts him down with a clothesline then tags in Jaggers. Jaggers hits the Hangman's Neckbreaker for the pin! Boos as Dick Murdoch and Adrian Adonis hit the ring and the brawl is on! Both teams fight in the ring and it eventually goes to the outside. They fight into the commercial break. Commercial Break Lance: Oh my, what a fight! Those two teams will meet at Night of Champions for the TNT tag titles. Should be quite a fight. Speaking of tag team titles. Next week, here on TV, the AWA tag team champions, The Movement Shaska Whatley and Tiger Conway Jr. will be in action as they get ready to defend those titles against the Fabulous Ones at Night of Champions. Well, I mentioned at the top of the program I have some disturbing footage to show you. This went down earlier this week at the Armory in Evansville Indiana. Viewer discretion is strongly advised. Cocoa Samoa and Polynesian Power (Tio and Tapu) vs. 'Polish Power' Ivan Putski and The Cuban Assassins w/Ratamyus After a wild match, another pier six brawl breaks out. Cocoa hits a flying body press on Putski to get the pin! The fighting doesn't stop as the Cuban Assassins put Cocoa down with a double clothesline, then hurl him out of the ring. Ratamyus picks up Cocoa and rams him into the steel post, busting him open. Putski and The Assassins put a beating on Polynesian Power. Ratamyus throws a chair into the ring. Assassins hold up Tio and Putski puts him down with a Polish Hammer! They hold up Tapu and Putski puts him down with a Polish Hammer! Putski places the chair. The Assassins pick up Tio and execute a spike piledriver on the chair! They pick up Tapu and spike piledrive him on the chair! Garbage flies in the ring. Cocoa barley is able to make it in the ring. Putski grabs the chair and whacks Cocoa over the head with it! Cocoa, Tio and Tapu are out and bleeding bad. All three men are stretchered out. Lance: That was just horrific. I don't want them out here but here they are. Massive boos as Ratamyus comes out with Putski and The Cuban Assassins. Lance: Why in the world would you monsters do that? Ratamyus, obviously there's still bad blood with Cocoa as he's the one who put you into retirement. Ratamyus: The only blood was that of Samoa and his island boys! Good things come to those that wait. Well, I waited and waited and finally got my revenge! (maniacal laugh) Nothing can stop us! Nothing! Lance: Very disturbing. I have some pre recorded comments from Cocoa Samoa, from his hospital room. Cocoa: (Bandages around his head, lying in a bed) Ratamyus! I thought our war was over but now you have crossed the line! My brothers Tio and Tapu might not ever wrestle again. Ratamyus! This isn't over! I have more brothers and they want to help. On October 4th, they will stand by my side and fight with me. Get ready for a fight like you've never in all your lives have endured! Commercial Break DJ Peterson vs. William Hillman The fans are on their feet cheering as DJ over powers Hillman and slams him down hard. DJ climbs up on the top ropes. Hillman staggers up and DJ nails him with a flying shoulder tackle for the pin! The fans cheer as DJ holds up a fist. DJ heads to the podium. Lance: Great win tonight. DJ, these fans have really gotten behind you and you have racked up some impressive wins. DJ: Thank you Lance, winning is the name of the game and.... There's a commotion from the crowd. Lance: Wait a second, Gorgeous Gary Young, what are you doing here? Young: I just arrived in TNT and you're looking at the hottest commodity in wrestling. I want to know why you're talking to this chump when I'm here? DJ: Don't over step your bounds my friend. Young: Whoa, relax buddy. I'll tell you what, everybody is talking about Night of Champions. Why don't we have a match so I can showcase my talents. I would be satisfied with a debut victory over you. I mean you're not the greatest wrestler in the world but you'll suffice. DJ: You want me in the ring? Well you don't have to ask twice. See you on October 4th Gawky oh sorry I mean Gorgeous. Lance: (Smiling) Ok another match set for Night of Champions. Our big main event when we come back. Commercial Break TV Main Event Mountain Mike Shaw vs. Jumbo Tsuruta w/Gene Anderson The bell rings and these two go toe to toe. Shaw starts to win the exchange, swings Jumbo to the ropes and puts him down with a back elbow drop. Jumbo staggers up and Shaw scoop slams him down. Shaw hits a standing leg drop 1..2..Kick Out. Shaw continues to work over Jumbo then swings him into the turnbuckles and charges in but Jumbo nails him with a big boot. Shaw goes down and Jumbo regroups. Jumbo throws Shaw into the corner and chops away then hip tosses him over and follows with a knee strike to the back of Shaw's head. Jumbo swings off the ropes and crashes down with a knee drop 1..2..Shaw barely gets his shoulder up. Gene berates the Ref while a frustrated Jumbo stomps away then chokes Shaw with his boot. Jumbo swings Shaw to the ropes but Shaw comes back and mows him over with a shoulder block. Shaw regroups. Shaw swings Jumbo to the corner and charges in with a big splash! Shaw grabs Jumbo and goes to hip toss him over but the Ref gets caught in between and Shaw throws Jumbo into the Ref. The Ref is down. Gene pulls out a pair of brass knuckles, gets in the ring and nails Shaw on the back of his head! Shaw goes down. Gene helps the Ref up then exits the ring. Jumbo slowly climbs to the top rope and crashes down with a knee drop 1..2..3! Boos as Gene runs in and raises Jumbo's arm. Jumbo gives Shaw a couple more stomps before leaving. Commercial Break Lance: Well, thanks to Gene Anderson, Jumbo Tsuruta gets the win. Ok, please welcome out the TNT champion Jerry The King Lawler! Massive cheers as Lawler walks out with the TNT strap on his shoulder. Lance: At Night of Champions, Jerry you'll be defending that title against Superstar Bill Dundee. Mixed reaction as Bill Dundee comes out. Lance: Bill, I don't want any trouble out here. Bill: Lance, I'm not out here to cause trouble. Jerry: Watch yourself Bill, I haven't forgotten about that slap. Bill: Jerry, I want to apologize for that. From the bottom of my heart, I'm sorry. I got carried away and that was out of line. I'm out here to shake your hand and say may the best man win at Night of Champions. Bill extends his hand. Some fans yell "NO" and Bill gives them a funny look. Jerry: You were out of line and you shouldn't of done that. I'll shake your hand for sportsmanship but I want to assure you, I'm walking in with the title and I'm walking out with this title. They shake hands and grip a little longer than necessary as the show ends. TNT Night of Champions 10-4-84 AWA World Title Bout Ted Dibiase (C) vs. Brass Knuckles Champ Hercules Ayala AWA World Tag Title Bout The Movement (C) vs. AWA Southern Tag Champs The Fabulous Ones TNT Title Bout Jerry 'The King' Lawler (C) vs. Superstar Bill Dundee AWA Light Heavyweight Title Bout Brad Armstrong (C) vs. Goldie Rogers w/Johnny Valiant TNT TV Title Bout 'The Universal Heartthrob' Austin Idol (C) vs. The 'Ace' Art Crews TNT Tag Title Bout Dick Murdoch and Adrian Adonis (C) vs. The Kansas Jayhawks Grudge Match Tully Blanchard vs. Curt Hennig 6-man Tag Cocoa Samoa and 2 mystery partners vs. Ivan Putski and The Cuban Assassins w/Ratamyus DJ Peterson vs. Gorgeous Gary Young

Maybe Casey's luck in Florida will change by teaming with Mantel. Whoa, has Kevin Kelly aligned with the House? Bulldog Brown is making some noise. LOL, that dang Boomer Lynch spoiled my brother vs. brother champion vs. champion dream match! Rhodes and JYD make for a great superpower team as they beat the RPM's. Damn, Rocky Kernodle takes Savage to a draw! Moral victory there. Savage hasn't forgotten about Gino. Their inevitable match will be explosive!
-
Oh man things are taking a turn in the Rocky Mountains! Liking Johnny Rich coming in with some fire. It's no wonder since he's coming in from Continental. Ron Bass beats young Mike but the big news is the Freight Train coming in! It doesn't end there as Dr. Death and Manny also arrive! Mulligan defiantly called in some heavy hitters to even things up. Oh man Atlas and SBS take care of the Mountain Men. LOL, Ladd is beyond frustrated.
-
This show was a perfect way to end the Summer! From top to bottom, every match delivered. Starrs remind everybody how ruthless they can be. Brad and Chavo put on a masterpiece and in the end Brad retains. Good sportsmanship. Larry Z, Nord and Wakamatsu try everything they can to defeat Super Strong Machine but with Hogan there nothing works and Larry takes the fall. Guerreros have a tough time with the Royal Family and it looks like this feud has just begun. Slater and Borne are madmen! It might take Smothers awhile to rebound from this both physically and mentally. Billy Jack might be in serious trouble. The Movement ventures out West and shows the Harts why they're the world champs. The double chain match was insane and that finish was brutal as the Vachons put the Assassins away. Jake's DDT on Garvin sets the tone. Garvin fights hard and Taylor needs to resort to a lowblow to finally win the TV title. I'm interested in how the Brigade responds. French Revolution wins the tag titles! Is this the end of the Spoiler and Red team? Hogan takes Dibiase to the limit. Great match and I'm sure Dibiase will have to come back in for a rematch. And now the BIG ONE! Awesome main event! Piper finally does it and wins the Pacific title! Great visual at the end with wrestlers celebrating Piper's title win! This show was well worth the wait.
-
Man, will Firestorm finally resolve things between Billy Jack/Smothers and the Marauders? LOL, I could totally picture Taylor saying all this with that smile of his. Great segment. Texas Red defiantly looks strong with that win over Bravo. Spivey and Rotunda come up short and the Royal Family gets the big title shot. Their match with the Guerreros could be a show stealer. Piper is one step ahead of Ed tonight as he goes into Firestorm with some momentum. Piper vs. Rose guarantees a sell out.
-
Great night of action in Huntsville! Cash, Muraco and the Sheepherders pick up nice wins to look strong. Olympia is a real threat to Super Ninja but those Grapplers spoil the match and put a beating on Olympia. Madril's cheating once again pays off, this time against Hayes. Bundy and Lars gets some payback on Street and OMG. LOL, looks like Landel's letter gave Bullet extra incentive in the strap match. Stud Stable tries to get the mask off but the reliable Armstrong's make the save. I would of loved to seen that main event live. Gordy takes down the mighty Hercules.
-
Rip Rogers reminds the fans why he's here. Tommy Rich better be ready. Looking forward to next week's Poffos/Miller-Oliver showdown. I also agree, you can never go wrong with the Armstrongs in the main event. Will Bullet go out a winner against Superstar?
-
Terry Funk has arrived! Good move having him co host. That made for some great TV. Muraco debuts with Fuji on TV and makes his goals known. "Go get your shine box" LOL, those are fighting words! The Movement is running wild across the AWA. Cash is going to need some back up when they return from their suspension. Sheepherders debut with a bang and even push Pedicino down! Nobody is safe. HAHAHA, like the bantering between Funk and Bob oh I mean Bullet. I couldn't stop laughing when Funk read that letter from Landel. That was freakn hilarious! Street wins the TV title! YES! This feud just went up a notch. The Great Al Madril gets the pin on Buddy Jack but the show ends with a Gordy/Herc brawl. Cant wait to see these guys go at it. With all the craziness going on in Continental, it's only a matter of time before Funk gets involved. Great show! Lot's of laughs, brawls and a new TV champ.
-
Johnny Rich shows up and gets a strong win over MX-1 but MX-1 isn't done with Rich yet. Love lower card feuds and Gypsy and McCord is a perfect example. Bassarab moves up a notch with that win over Pogo. Tito arrives and makes a splash! He beats Gama then delivers a fired up promo. Tito could be a huge star here. Orndorff and Hawk have an interesting match that gets heated. Slaughter gets a HUGE win over Dr. Death! Slaughter is already a top heel in the AWA but this really elevates Slaughter to another level. Hart Foundation deliver yet another classic! Things seem ok with both teams but Stu keeps stirring the pot. Gene Kiniski arrives to set things straight! Flair gets a big submission win over Animal and looks more than ready for Dibiase. LOL, like Flair calling out Heenan. They hug and things are well...for now. What an ending! Nikita is gone! Nikita had a tremendous run in Stampede and we'll see where he turns up next. Bad News and Hansen could very well rule Stampede!
-
Some big names making the loop! I absolutely love Muraco and Fuji in Continental! This is going to be awesome! Akbar's stock goes way up with the Sheepherders! No teams are safe. LOL, like the odd pairing of Cash and Steve O. Street and Gang battling Lars and Bundy will be a lot of fun. A Freebirds/Stud Stable feud is money! Like the masked alliance of Bullet and Olympia. They will be a real thorn for the Stable. Landel retains against a red hot Cooley. Solid main event.

TNT releases Tio and Tapu. TNT picks up Superfly Tui and Super Samoan Sakalia

TNT Wrestling TV @ The Roanne Fieldhouse, Memphis TN 9-6-84 A music montage shows highlights from the big Labor Day event. Included is Tully Blanchard's vicious chair attack on commissioner Larry Hennig following the AWA World title match. And of course Jerry Lawler's TNT title victory over Terry Funk! Lance: Hello everybody and welcome to another edition of TNT wrestling here on the USA network. So much to talk about but first let me run down some of the matches you'll see tonight. George Wells goes one on one with his current rival Carl Fergie. We saw the challenge made last week so you will also see Denny Brown go up against Gino Brito. All that and a whole lot more. Well let's kick off the show by bringing out the new TNT champion, Jerry 'The King' Lawler! Massive cheers as Lawler walks out with a crown on his head and the title around his waist. He stops and acknowledges the fans. Lance: Congratulations King. You defeated Terry Funk in one hard hitting match. How are you feeling? Lawler: Never better Lance! Funk did everything he could to keep me from that match but the King showed up and the King put him down. Lance: Indeed you did. Well, we both know the champ never rests and I understand on October 4th at the Louisville Gardens, TNT will present a special Night of Champions card. All AWA world titles will be defended and you will defend the TNT title against an opponent to be named next week. Exciting news. Cheers as Superstar Bill Dundee comes out. Dundee: Jerry! Jerry! Jerry! Congratulations buddy! Dundee offers his hand and Lawler shakes it. Dundee: Ok buddy, let's go ahead and make it official. At Night of Champions, you and I will go at it for the TNT title! Man, this is going to be great! Just two top competitors wrestling for all the marbles. May the best man win brother! Lance: Just a sec Bill. No doubt about it, you're in the running but no official announcement has been made just yet. Dundee: Jerry! Tell Lance and all these people that I'm the one who deserves the shot. Lawler: Of course you deserve a shot Bill and even if your name doesn't come up for Night of Champions, rest assured you'll get a title shot. You have my word. Dundee pauses. Dundee: No, Jerry that just doesn't work. Let me recap. During our tournament match, I had you beat but the Ref was out. During our tag match, I took a boot in the head while sacrificing myself for you. And during your match with Funk, I'm the one who stopped him from using the chair. That's why I deserve the shot at Night of Champions. Now, be a man and make it official. Lawler: Look Bill, just be patient. It will happen sooner or later. Dundee ponders this then SLAPS Lawler across the face! Dundee: Now do you get my point! Dundee storms off. Lawler is red hot. Lawler: He's going to regret that. Ok! If Bill wants a shot that bad, he's going to get it! I promise I'll make it happen! Be careful what you wish for Bill. Lance: Wow! That took a different turn. Oh my. We'll be right back with a big 6 man tag match. Commercial Break The Blonde Bombers and 'Golden Boy' Jerry Grey w/Johnny Valiant vs. Mr. Wrestling 3 and The Real Deal Fun back and forth action packed match to open the show. Things gets crazy as both teams end up in a pier six brawl. Johnny Valiant wraps something up in his towel. The Ref is tied up with Wrestling 3 and Grey, fighting in the corner. Rogers and McGhee brawl to the outside. Vaughn hops up on the middle ropes and punches down on Regal. Valiant hops on the apron with his loaded towel but the fans cheer when Mr. Wrestling 2 runs out and yanks Valiant off the apron! Wrestling 2 hammers away on Valiant! Grey slips out of the ring and goes after Wrestling 2 but Mr. Wrestling 3 chases him and pounds him down. There's just to much chaos and the Ref signals for the bell, calling it a double DQ! Real Deal chases off the Blonde Bombers as Grey helps Valiant out of there. Mr. Wrestling 2 and 3 head for the podium. Wrestling 3: Valiant and Grey, let me make this real simple. Valiant, since you like getting involved so much then let's see you do it face to face. That's right, you and your boy Grey versus me and my manager Mr. Wrestling 2! Right here, next week! Wrestling 2: I'm back and I want you Valiant! Commercial Break TNT owner Jerry Jarrett is standing at the podium with Lance. Jarrett: Lance, I know you and the fans don't see me on TV very often but I'm out here to address a very serious situation. Everybody saw what Tully Blanchard did to our commissioner Larry Hennig. Larry suffered a broken ankle and is resting at home. Tully Blanchard has been banned from TV this week and I wanted to suspend him for his despicable actions, however, I talked with Larry and he said not to suspend Tully. He has another solution. So, next week Tully is allowed to return to TV. I don't know what Larry has in mind but I'll trust his judgement as commissioner. Larry, get well soon. Lance: Ok, some surprising news from Jerry Jarrett. We'll see what Tully Blanchard has to say for himself next week. Back to the ring. Oh wait a minute here comes Art Crews. Crews: Not going to tell you again Lance, I'm the Ace Art Crews. Got it! Lance: Yea I got it. Well, while you're out here, it appears your recent win streak has gotten some attention because at Night of Champions, you will get a shot at Austin idol and his TV title. I hope you're ready because Idol's coming off a big win against Krusher Kruschev. Crews: Krusher Kruschev is a pretty ok wrestler but he aint no Ace brother. Now, as you know I like to predict the times of my matches. Idol isn't a bad wrestler so it might take me a little longer. I would say no more than 8 minutes to put him away and take his title. As for my opponent tonight, he goes down in under 2 minutes. 'The Ace' Art Crews vs. Vic Dutro Crews makes good on his promise and defeats Dutro with a drop kick from the middle ropes at 1 minute and 23 seconds. Commercial Break Mountain Mike Shaw is standing at the podium. Lance: Mike, you finally took care of George Steele in that bloody No DQ match but did you see what Jumbo Tsuruta did to him after the match? He power bombed him on the concrete for goodness sakes. Shaw: Yea I saw that and you know something? I didn't like it! Steele and I have been fighting all over the arenas for the past couple months but we always did it face to face. The man isn't a coward. Jumbo Tsuruta! What you did was the act of a coward, so let's do this! You and me, one on one, face to face! Let's see you try and do that to me. Lance: Ok, the challenge has been made. What a battle of titans that would be. Back to the ring for the debut of a new tag team. The Roughnecks (Killer Brooks and Bob Sweetan) vs. Gary Williams and Stu Jersky Brooks and Sweetan storm the ring and just pound down on their opponents. Pure squash! Sweetan picks up Williams and falls back with a Hot Shot as Brooks (outside on the apron) grabs Williams head and slams it on the top rope. Sweetan covers for the easy pin. The fans boo as they head to the podium. Lance: Impressive showing for the Roughnecks. Killer Brooks, at the Labor Day event, you went in and said some words to Sweetan. And now you guys have formed a team. Just what did you say? Brooks: I just asked him for a moment. He gave me that moment and I told him he didn't need to pander to these idiot fans. I said he lost his killer instinct by listening to these idiots. I didn't get the moniker Killer for nothing. I gave Bob Sweetan his killer instinct back and just wait until TNT sees the destruction we're going to cause! Sweetan: That's not a threat. It's a damn promise! You guys get a shot at the AWA world tag team titles at Night of Champions against the very dangerous Movement, Shaska Whatley and Tiger Conway Jr. Lane: They pulled off the upset of the year by beating the Road Warriors, so we're not taking them lightly. However, without the numbers game, I don't think they stand a chance against the Fabulous Ones! Keirn: That's right! Lance: Alright, we'll see who takes on that challenge. Boos as Johnny Valiant and Goldie Rogers strut out. Valiant: I'm here for 2 reasons. Lance: Well it didn't take long but Goldie Rogers has answered the challenge of Brad Armstrong. And next week we'll see Mr. Wrestling 2 and 3 take on Jerry Grey and Johnny Valiant. Boy oh boy. Fun recap show with some great promos. Kevin vs. Baron in a battle of the claws cage match! YES!!!!! Really looking forward to watching the DR. D/Stud/Brody scenario play out. Bock is smooth as ever in his promo but things take a wild turn and it's him and Steamboat in the cage! Will Bock send Steamboat packing? Or will Steamboat win the coveted title? I'll defiantly be tuning in to find out.
-
Like what you're doing with Italian Stallion and Krupp. It's such an odd pairing but that's what I love about this game. The mysterious blonde man strikes again, spoiling Checkmate's debut. The Family is wrecking havoc! I don't know if they can be stopped. Awesome main event as Race helps the Andersons beat Martel and Armstrong. If this leads to some Race/Martel matches then I'm all for it!
-
Leduc was everywhere tonight and seems to be Ladd's number one hit man. Common enemies unite Embry and King as they look for revenge on Ladd's Army. The Movement try to buy their way out of a match but Atlas and SBS say NO WAY! The Movement working with Ladd's Army is a very dangerous alliance and will cause trouble in the AWA. Mulligan fights hard but AWA champ Dibiase finds a way to win. Big news of the night. Wahoo is out of Rocky Mountain! Ladd gets tremendous heat. I'm sure the fans wanted to riot. Ladd's Army is one of the hottest factions going in the AWA. Cant wait to see what's next.

I cant say this enough but man I love that Slater/Borne team. Taylor is rolling now as he heads into his big TV title match at Firestorm but with that win over Flowers, Garvin is at the top of his game. Piper and Ed brawl to a double c.o. Ed sure has been an obstacle for Piper. Rose and Sommers do a number on Cobra reminding everybody what the Rose Army is capable of.
-
Hart brothers take down the Starrs and get a well deserved title match. You're right, if a double chain match doesn't end the Vachons/Assassins feud, nothing will. Enjoyed the contrast of styles match between Ed and Cobra. Ed looks vicious as he sends a message to Piper. Fun battle royal. Terry Taylor gets the surprise win! Hmmmm what does Jake have in mind??? Firestorm is shaping up to be one epic event!

Your Star Wars cards always deliver my friend. Garvin and company are on a roll and thanks to Precious they get the opening win. Poor Stasiak took a beating from Shultz and a chair! I was intrigued by the battle of the claw match. Kevin clamps it on but Baron escapes and walks out. This one isn't over. Highwaymen get the big street fight win. This has been a great feud and did a good job of getting both teams over. Shultz is one bad dude and has got to be nuts as he now has issues with both Studd and Brody! Adias and Youngbloods get a huge win over the Movement. The Youngbloods just might have earned themselves an AWA World tag title match. Kerry finally puts down the Grappler! Bock vs. Steamboat! What a classic battle between two all time greats. They go to a dramatic 60 minute draw. The rematch will be money! I would love to see either of these guys get a shot at Dibiase.
-
Lot's of drama and intrigue going on in Stampede. I like the idea of Bassarab and MX-1 fighting for a push. Are things ok with Williams and Manny? It seems so but you just never know LOL. I'm sure we'll find out when Slaughter faces Williams. WOW! Hennig no shows, leaving Heenan at the mercy of the Road Warriors. An angry Heenan fires Hennig but offers up his contract. Who will go with the Brain? The Bad News/Hansen-Russians feud will come to an end in a loser leaves town cage match! This really is the only way to resolve this. Talk about controversy! Stu throws in the towel and the Bulldogs are irate. Hart Foundation know something's up and offers a rematch. Man I cant wait to see how this turns out. Dibiase and Flair go the time limit in a classic. No doubt about it, a rematch must happen.
