USWA will drop Ken Raper, David Johnson, and Tommy Gilbert and pick up Chris Markoff. Markoff can go into spot 35. My jobber pack in spot 36 will now be Ted Allen, Steve Simpson and Wendell Cooley.

Patrick, Thanks for the detailed review. I think in some cases you gave more thought to certain angles than I did when working on them and for that I am grateful. Not sure I put enough thought into the Piper/Atlas finish and not sure what to do next with Piper or Atlas to tell you the truth. Maybe a clean victory was not the way to go.

USWA WRESTLING: 3/12/1984: WTBS SHOW AIRED NATIONALLY 7:05-10:05 LIVE FROM THE OMNI ATLANTA, GEORGIA “Yello again everybody. Welcome to USWA Wrestling here on WTBS. I am Lance Russell along with Gordon Solie and Dave Brown. This is our first prime time special and it is being billed as The First Battle of Atlanta. We have a jam packed show tonight so let’s get right to the ring.” MATCH 1: Jimmy Valiant vs The Spoiler A great opening match that gave the fans everything they could want. They erupted when they heard “The Boys from New York City” blare through the speakers and the match kept them on the edge of their seats for its entirety. The Spoiler almost had the pin when he walked the top rope while keeping an arm bar on Valiant and then leaped off into a Brain Claw but Valiant was able to get to the ropes. The match turned wild and this was right up Valiant’s alley. He actually bite the Spoiler on the forehead through the mask and then followed it up with a huge bodyslam and a diving elbow drop from the middle rope for the pin at 12:43. __________________________________________________________________________ MATCH: Brett Wayne vs Bam Bam Bigelow The fans really are falling in love with the high energy of this year’s rookie crop which is led by Bigelow. This 350 pounder has such agility and power that everyone knows it is only a matter of time. With Jerry Lawler helping his training, that time is getting closer. Tonight’s match was by far his best and he actually got the victory when he followed a Body Avalanche with a diving headbut at 10:03. His new tattoos of flames across his skull and a flame inspired outfit along with his ability has the fans waiting more. He high fives all the way back to the locker room as Brett Wayne takes a moment to regroup in the ring. __________________________________________________________________________ MATCH: Porkchop Cash vs Sweet Brown Sugar This match is part of the ongoing feud between Ladd’s Army and Butch Reed’s new alliance. This match was a fight between two different styles, the powerhouse bruising style of Cash vs the speed and agility of Sweet Brown Sugar. The end came when Cash threw Sugar into ref Paul Morton which allowed Ernie Ladd to come to ring side and connect with a Big Boot on Sugar. Cash followed that up with a huge powerslam. Cash helped ref Paul Morton regroup and then went for the cover. The end came at 10:02 and Ladd and Cash celebrated by raising their fists in a sign of Black Power which is the Mantra of Ladd’s Army. __________________________________________________________________________ Match: USWA WORLD TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT SEMIFINAL The Fabulous Ones vs The Sheepherders with JR FOLEY This one again has the fans on the edge of their sits. All the ladies in the arena begin to scream as the Fab Ones come out in their tuxedos to ZZ Topps “Sharpe Dressed Man” and then perform a little strip tease. This excitement quickly turns to boos as JR Foley, dressed in Army fatigues and sporting a Hitler style mustache leads the Sheepherders to the ring carrying the British Commonwealth flag. All three are antagonizing the fans as they head to the ring. As for the match, it is high energy all the way with many momentum changes. The end came when Steve Keirn was being double teamed by the Sheepherders and Lane tried to rush me to help his partner. Ref Jerry Calhoun forced Lane back to his corner but this allowed the Sheepherders to illegally throw Keirn face first into the ring post and split him wide open. The Sheepherders followed this up with a Battering Ram and in a surprisingly clean victory, pinned Keirn at 18:21. __________________________________________________________________________ Match: USWA WORLD TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT SEMIFINAL Tommy Rich & Jerry Lawler vs Buzz Sawyer & Hercules Hernandez with Sir Oliver Humperdink Wow! Could it be that Tommy Rich and Buzz Sawyer met in the Last Battle of Atlanta in Georgia Championship Wrestling and now they are meeting in the First Battle of Atlanta for the USWA? The House of Humperdink do not wait for the bell and attack as soon as Lawler and Rich enter the ring. This gives them the early advantage. Hernandez was able to just overpower Rich and Lawler at times. He executed such power moves as bodyslams and clothesline. He even used some awesome submission moves including a bearhug on Rich and The Backbreaker Rack on Lawler but Rich and Lawler kept making the save. This infuriated Humperdink who berated ref Jerry Calhoun about his inability to keep the illegal man out of the ring. After being trapped in the ring for a while, Lawler was finally able to tag in Rich who went on “fire.” This was the beginning of the end as all four men were in the ring and Lawler and Rich whipped the House of Humperdink into each other. As Sawyer and Humperdink bounced off each other, Lawler caught Sawyer in a sleeper and Rich, the legal man, caught Hernandez in a sleeper. Humperdink got up on the apron to again go after the ref. Calhoun did not seem to care about Lawler and Sawyer as they were not bothering the “legal” action in the ring! As both Sawyer and Hernandez begin to go out and Calhoun begins to count, Earthquake hits the ring and Avalanche’s both Rich and Lawler from behind. Calhoun disqualifies the House of Humperdink but that does nothing to slow down the attack by Earthquake. He drags Lawler and Rich into the corner and places Rich on top of Lawler and then he climbs to the top rope and jumps off in a seated position and lands on Rich. He is basically crushing them. The House of Humperdink finally leaves with Rich and Lawler left in a heap in the ring. They are victorious but who knows if they will even be able to wrestle the Sheepherders for the championship later on tonight. __________________________________________________________________________ MATCH: BOOT CAMP MATCH Sgt. Slaughter, Pvt. Kernodle & Cpl. Kirchner vs Mr. Saito, Killer Khan & Tojo Yamamoto In a match basically with no rules, this is as wild as you could imagine. The fans are all over the Shogunate but they don’t seem to care. The end came when all 6 men were paired off all over the arena. Killer Khan slammed Cpl. Kirchner head into the steel barricade and then he goes over to id Tojo who was battling Kernodle. He quickly sprays the Asian Green Mist into the eyes of Kernodle which has him rolling on the floor in agony. Yamamoto has him in a stomach claw while Khan lays the boots to him until he is basically knocked out. Khan and Tojo re-enter the ring and join Saito in his fight against Sgt. Slaughter. They triple team him. Yamamoto with another stomach Claw while Khan Puts Slaughter into his own signature move, the Cobra Clutch. Sgt yells in pain but refuses to give up. Saito scoops him up and follows up a short arm clothesline with 2 Saito Suplexes. Ref Paul Morton is forced to make the 3 count as the Shogunate has defeated the Ft. Bragg Brotherhood in 21:03. Saito, Khan, and Yamamoto now grab the United States flag that Slaughter had brought to the ring and begin to stomp on it and spit on it. The fans in the Omni are now enraged and the USWA is lucky there was not a riot as the Shogunate headed to the locker room. __________________________________________________________________________ MATCH: HACKSAW REED VS ERNIE LADD This feud has been brewing since Reed left Ladd and his Army. Reed was first to the ring and you could see the anger in his eyes. Ladd begins to walk to the ring but Reed could not contain himself. He rushed up the runway and attacks Ladd. The two brawl for about 10 minutes with each being bloodied by the other. Both connect with major moves but in the end Reed executed a huge Gorilla Press Slam on Ladd on the concrete floor. Security, USWA official and wrestlers rush from the back to keep Reed away from Ladd who is flat on his back on the Omni floor. Ref Jerry Calhoun declares this bout a NO CONTEST. This is certainly not the last we have seen of this feud. __________________________________________________________________________ Match: USWA TITLE UNIFICATION MATCH USWA NATIONAL CHAMPION VS USWA SOUTHERN CHAMPION MR. USA TONY ATLAS VS ROWDY RODDY PIPER Now this match had the fans going wild. The winner gets to keep his belt while the loser will be stripped of his. It was hard to tell if it was because they like Atlas so much or because of their hatred for Piper and his manager JR Foley. His first few Piper’s Pits have made Piper the most hated man in all of the USWA and that is hard to do in an organization that includes Ernie Ladd and Tojo Yamamoto. As for the match it is back and forth. Piper is cautious not to get to close to Atlas unless he had the advantage. He used every dirty trick known to wrestling but it did not get him close to victory. Atlas almost had Piper trapped outside the ring but Foley put his body between Atlas and Piper which allowed the rowdy one to escape. Piper rushed back into the ring and appeared to grab a foreign object out of his trunks and place it in his right hand. When Atlas entered the ring, he backed Piper into a corner but this allowed Piper a chance to throw that loaded right hand. To Piper’s surprise and Foley’s anger, Atlas ducked under and scooped up Piper into a belly to back suplex. The brass knuckles went flying in the air and Atlas covered Piper for the pin. Foley rushed into the ring and put on the brass knucks but Atlas easily dodged his punch and scooped Foley into a Gorilla Press Slam right onto Piper. The crowd went wild as Atlas leaves with his title. Ref Jerry Calhoun grabs Piper’s USWA Southern Heavyweight Championship and walks to the back as that title is now considered vacant! The crowd loves to see the British Commonwealth struggling to just get to their feet. __________________________________________________________________________ Match: USWA WORLD TITLE MATCH AUSTIN IDOL with ROCK RIDDLE VS BRUISER BRODY This match is wild and Idol does everything he can just to survive the brutal attack by Bruiser Brody but tonight it was to no avail. Everything Idol tried, Brody had an answer. At about the 15 minute mark, Idol seemed to having nothing left. Brody scooped Idol up into a Backbreaker Rack and Idol was in real trouble. After about a 2 minutes in this torture rack, Idol looked like he was about to tap out when WHAM! Rock Riddle entered the ring and cracked Idol over the back with a chair. Ref Paul Morton immediately called for the bell and disqualified Idol. The crowd began to cheer as many thought Brody was the new champ. Brody now turned his attention to Riddle who ran for his life up the runway. The two disappeared behind a curtain and nobody in the audience saw the beating Brody gave Riddle. This was all captured on TV and viewed by the National Audience. The crowd started to boo as the ring announcer told the fans that Idol retained his World Title due to the disqualification. __________________________________________________________________________ USWA WORLD TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP TOMMY RICH & JERRY LAWLER VS THE SHEEPHERDERS with JR FOLEY This is the one the wrestling world has been waiting for. As you could expect, it is a brutal match. The action took place both inside and outside of the ring and often had all 4 competitors brawling at the same time. The end came after a long bout that saw many momentum changes and a lot of blood spilled. The Sheepherders had Wildfire on the ropes when they went after him with their signature finisher, The Battering Ram. With Luke Williams rushing toward Rich using Butch Miller’s head as a weapon, Rich was in trouble. At the last moment Rich lifted a perfectly timed knee to the nose of Miller and he back peddled a few times before collapsing to the mat. Rich followed that up by coming off the ropes and catching Williams with a big clothesline that send him over the top rope. Foley rushed to aid Williams as Rich tagged in Lawler. Lawler climbed the roped and came off the top with a perfectly centered fist drop. Ref Jerry Calhoun quickly made the 3 count. Lawler and Wildfire are the first ever USWA World Tag Team Champions. The crowd goes wild and the wrestlers, including Atlas, Reed, The Boogie Woogie Man and The Fabulous Ones rush to the ring to join in the celebration! The screen fades to black!

USWA WRESTLING: 3/11/1984: WTBS SHOW AIRED NATIONALLY 5:05-6:05 TAPED IN ATLANTA, GEORGIA “Yello again everybody. Welcome to USWA Wrestling here on WTBS. I am Lance Russell along with Gordon Solie. We have a jam packed show tonight so let’s get right to our first match.” Match: Bam Bam Bigelow vs Nightmare #1 Jerry Lawler accompanies his protégé, Bigelow, to the ring but then goes over to the interview desk to join Solie and Russell for the match. As far as the match goes, it is high paced and the fans are starting to see that for a big man of 350 pounds, Bigelow can really move. While Nightmare #1 knows all the tricks of the trade, in the end the size difference was just too much. Bigelow gets a rare win in his rookie year when he connected with a powerbomb at the 5:11 mark. Bigelow joins the group at the interview desk were he thanks all for their compliments and he says he owes it all to Jerry Lawler. Solie turns the interview to Lawler and Tommy Rich’s semi-final match tournament match against the House of Humperdink which is to take place tomorrow night at The First Battle of Atlanta. Lawler laughs and then continues to speak but says that after tonight, Wildfire and himself would have a bye into the finals as Buzz Sawyer and Hercules Hernandez were going to lose to Plowboy Frazier and Hillbilly Jim and be forced to leave the USWA for a year! Solie pondered for a moment and then says “Well King, I had not thought about that but indeed, you might just walk into the championship but. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ Interview with The Sheepherders and JR Foley The Sheepherders are saying that the World Tag Titles will be theirs in just 24 hours and that no team can beat them. This brings out their opponents in the semi-final match, The Fabulous Ones. The two teams really go out it verbally but for once, cooler heads prevail. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS ___________________________________________________________________________ One at a time, the teams in tonight’s loser leave town match come out to hype the match which is believed to be the first Loser Leave Town Match on National TV. The segment is short as the match is given extra time. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ LOSER LEAVE TOWN MATCH: Hillbilly Jim & Plowboy Frazier vs Buzz Sawyer & Hercules Hernandez with Humperdink The fans are on the edge of their seats for this one. Sir Oliver Humperdink leads Sawyer and Hercules Hernandez to the ring. Humperdink has Buzz Sawyer on a dog leash while Hernandez has a huge chain around his neck which makes him look even stronger than he is. The House of Humperdink seems ready for this one. Plowboy Frazier and Hillbilly Jim come to the ring to some fiddle music with big smiles on their faces. They are really looking forward to getting rid of Humperdink and his men. As for the match, Sir Oliver Humperdink is doing his best to have the outcome come out in his favor. He distracts the ref, trips up Hillbilly Jim on an Irish Whip and even kicked Plowboy Frazier when the action spilled out on to the studio floor. It was so bad that Big Bubba, Frazier and Jim’s cousin, came down to the ring and chased Humperdink away from the action. Humperdink, from a far, continued to threaten Bubba with his walking stick but never came any closer. The fans loved this and thought it gave their favorites a chance. The end came after Hercules Hernandez whipped Hillbilly Jim right in to ref Paul Morton which sent him to the floor. He was really out of it. Hillbilly Jim went to check on him and this is when Hernandez came off the ropes and nailed him with a huge running clothesline. Plowboy Frazier tried to come to his rescue but he was caught with a flying elbow by Buzz Sawyer. Hercules now began to slowly go to check on the ref when all of a sudden WHAM! Big Bubba came off the top rope in a sitting position and landed right on the chest of HILLBILLY JIM! The three now triple teamed Plowboy Frazier who also was nailed by a top rope Avalanche from Big Bubba. Hillbilly Jim and Plowboy Frazier were completely out as the ref came to and made the three count as Hernandez covered Hillbilly Jim. The House of Humperdink, including Sir Oliver and BIG BUBBA danced around the ring in celebration. Frazier and Jim looked stunned. The expression on their face said it all. “How could a member of the family turn on them?” Bubba just laughed as his cousins struggled to get to their knees. Gordon Solie ends the show with “I have now seen it all and I am sick to my stomach. Fans, please remember tomorrow night on TBS is The First Battle of Atlanta. So long form Atlanta.” The Credits roll while the chaos continues. The screen fades to black.

USWA would like Hansen and Brody for April 3,10,17 23

Good show that promotes future shows and angels really well. Looking forward to the Big Tag Tournament. Love II vs Gino and USA vs Russia always plays well.
-
If you have someone who wants to write, let me have Stampede at the 60 day mark. If he wants to move the promotion to any open territory, I think that should be fine also. I would recommend that he did take Stampede just because it is the best available roaster that he could get. Their is little left in free agency to excite someone. In terms of moving it, I think a lot of this game is the memories that it brings back. I can honestly say I never saw one card of stampede and would rather be in area that I am familiar with.

USWA SHOWS FOR THIS WEEK WILL BE LATE DUE TO THE FLU.
-
Good show as always. I read your dirt notes and I agree that you could lengthen your TV show. I looked at your roster and their is still some good talent that you can't fit into the hour: The Moondogs, Poffo, Pistol Pez and the Vachons. Not sure if these are allstill your but they would make for good reads. You do a great job of with your top roster guys but an extra hour could give you 3-4 more angles to work with.

USWA WRESTLING: 3/10/1984: WTBS SHOW AIRED NATIONALLY 6:05-8:05 TAPED IN ATLANTA, GEORGIA “Yello again everybody. Welcome to USWA Wrestling here on WTBS. I am Lance Russell along with Gordon Solie and Dave Brown. We have a jam packed show tonight so let’s get right to our first segment.” THIS WEEK IN THE USWA BY DAVE BROWN Lance Russell and Gordon Solie welcome fans to the Saturday night show on WTBS and they turn it over to Dave Brown for his segment, This Week in the USWA. Dave Brown begins with a reminder that the USWA is in the middle of a 16 team tournament to name the first ever USWA World Tag Team Champions and that the tournament continues tonight and that the semi-finals and finals will be in The Omni in Atlanta, Georgia on March 12th. · Dave continues on about the tournament and announces that both quarter finals will be tonight, right here on WTBS. Fans will get to see The Fabulous Ones vs The Clawmasters, Baron Von Raschke and The Spoiler along with tonight’s main event, The Sheepherders vs The Fort Bragg Brotherhood, PVT. Kernodle and Cpl. Kirchner. · Brown continues on The First Battle of Atlanta at the Omni on March 12th and announces some of the major matches. Porkchop Cash vs Sweet Brown Sugar Sgt. Slaughter vs Mr. Saito “Hacksaw” Butch Reed vs Ernie “The Big Cat” Ladd USWA TITLE UNIFICATION BOUT: Tony Atlas vs Roddy Piper. Loser must vacate belt. USWA WORLD TITLE MATCH: Austin Idol with Rock Riddle vs Bruiser Brody. · Brown continues on by saying how Jerry Jarrett and Ted Turner are quickly making the USWA a powerhouse and that they are now holding shows in 11 states and growing and that they now have contracts to hold major events in April in such cities as Baltimore, MD, Columbus, OH, Tupelo, MS and Huntingdon, WV · MATCH OF THE WEEK: Buzz Sawyer & Hercules Hernandez defeated Atlas & Reed A great match seen here last week on TV. Both sides had their chances for the victory but in the end Sir Oliver Humperdink’s team came out on top and are now poised to face Tommy “Wildfire” Rich and Jerry “The King” Lawler at The First Battle of Atlanta. · Wrestler of the Week: Tommy Rich What a week it was for Wildfire. He and his partner defeated The Kansas Jayhawks and the team of Roddy Piper and Austin Idol and in singles competition, he defeated “Dirty “ Dutch Mantell and took the USWA World Champion to a 30 minute draw Thursday night in the Louisville Gardens. Both men left bloodied and beaten but Rich nearly came away with the belt if it was not for interference by Idol’s manager, Rock Riddle. When Brown finishes, Austin Idol, Rock Riddle and The Kansas Jayhawks rush out to the interview desk and begin to berate Dave Brown. They are furious at the accusation that Wildfire would have won the belt if it was not for Riddle. They threaten to sue Brown and the USWA for false information. Gordon Solie steps in and says, “That will be enough Mr. Riddle and Mr. Idol.” They then turn their attention to him and start to yell at him for the announcement that Idol is to meet Brody for the title at The First Battle of Atlanta. Solie defends himself by saying that he does not sign the matches. He just announces them. Riddle agrees but last week Solie was to announce who Idol was to face in the Omni and that somehow he just conveniently skipped over it and now Idol does not have the proper time to prepare for Brody. Lance Russell now takes a shot at this two. “What is the Sam Hill are you two taking about. Last week’s show ended in total mayhem and you wanted us to announce your match. Will you two guys just stop and get out of here.” Riddle responds with a “not until Jarrett gets out here and makes it right. All of a sudden, the phone at the desk rings and Solie picks it up. He is heard saying, I see Mr. Jarrett” and then he hangs up. Riddle asks what that was all about. Solie informs them that Jarrett says Idol will fight in the Omni against Brody or be stripped of his belt and that if they don’t take Lance’s advice and get out of here right now, they will all be suspended. Riddle and his “Perfect Stable” walk off complaining about everyone and everything. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS _____________________________________________________________________________ Sir Oliver Humperdink along with Sawyer and Hercules Hernandez are at the interview desk where Russell asks them how they feel about tomorrow night’s loser-leaf town match against Plowboy Frazier and Hillbilly Jim. Humperdink seems unusually calm as he starts in on “Pencil Nose” Russell and about how dumb a question that is. He announces that there is no chance his men will lose and he can’t wait to get rid of those stinky rednecks once and for all. Gordon Solie turns the interview towards Korstia Korchenko who wrestled only one match for the House of Humperdink before Sir Oliver turned on him. Humperdink goes on to say that he was robbed by the Kremlin and that Korchenko is not worth the tights he wrestled in. He says he will take the money he paid the Kremlin for Korchenko’s services out of the hide of Korchenko. For once, the fans seem to be on the side of Humperdink. They all head to the ring for the Humperdink Challenge. If Sweet Brown Sugar and Brett Wayne can last 10 minutes, they get $10,000 of Humperdink’s money. MATCH: House of Humperdink Challenge: Buzz Sawyer & Hercules Hernandez vs Sweet Brown Sugar & Brett Wayne As for the match it is a strange one. Sawyer completely dominates Sweet Brown Sugar but seems to be a little off against Brett Wayne. It is no problem as Hercules Hernandez picks up the slack. Hernandez catches Brett Wayne in the Backbreaker Rack and forces the submission at 6:02. Buzz rushes into the ring to ”congratulate” his teammate but it seems that he is just as interested in getting Hernandez to release the submission hold. The House of Humperdink celebrate and now turn their focus to tomorrow night’s loser-leave town match. Solie says “We will be right back. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ MATCH: Ernie Ladd vs Shane Douglas In a surprising match, Shane Douglas actually had Ladd on the ropes until Ladd surprised him with a Big Boot for the pin at 8:02. Ladd makes his way to the interview desk where he again says that he his role in wrestling is to rid the USWA of such Uncle Tom’s as Butch Reed and Tony Atlas. He announces that his job begins Monday at The First Battle of Atlanta where he is going to punish Butch Reed. He continues to belittle Reed by calling a muscle bound dummy with no skill. Before raising his fist in a sign of Black Power, he again tells the fans of USWA Wrestling that his Army is always growing and that re-enforcements are on their way. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ The Shogunate are at the interview table where Tojo Yamamoto seems to be in a really foul mood. His berates Mis-tah Sargant Slauughter and the rest of the Fort Bragg Brotherhood. He also says that his men are about to help his longtime friend, Sir Oliver Humperdink but beating Plowboy Frazier and Hillbilly Jim so bad in the next match that they will not even be able to wrestle tomorrow night. Match: Mr. Saito & Killer Khan vs Plowboy Frazier & Hillbilly Jim This match is a great match for TV. Saito and Khan gain the early momentum but they have trouble taking both Frazier and Hillbilly Jim off their feet as they are just too big. Hillbilly Jim blocks a Saito Suplex and goes on the attack. He follows up a bodyslam with a big legdrop. As he goes for the pin, Khan comes in to make the save but he is blocked by a big body bump by Frazier. All of a sudden the House of Humperdink hits the ring and starts to beat on the Hillbillies. It is now 5-2 and it looks bleak. Cousin Bubba hits the ring and now the Hillbillies might still be 2 men down but they may hold the weight advantage. Bubba starts throwing his weight around and one by one, he clears the ring. The Shogunate and the House of Humperdink are now outside the ring while the Cousins reign supreme inside the squared circle. Lance Russell again was all amped up and was heard saying, “You cannot believe the mayhem that just occurred in the ring. This is going to be some showdown tomorrow night and ya’ll can see it right here on WTBS. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ Piper’s Pit with Special Guest Tony Atlas Roddy Piper makes his way out to the set and sits in one of the two chairs that are there. The Sheepherders follow Piper out and stand behind him with their arms folded. Piper calls out Tony Atlas who walks out to the set real cautiously. Piper starts to play up Atlas about who big and strong he is and Atlas just kind of shakes his head and not trusting Piper while he is getting buttered up. Piper than turns to Jerry Jarrett and how he has Atlas and Piper set to wrestle each other at The First Battle of Atlanta and the winner gets to keep his title while the loser will vacate his. Atlas continues shaking his head and then announces that he plans on walking out with the USWA National belt. Piper now starts shaking he head and says, you do, do ya! Piper starts to get in the face of Atlas trying to antagonize him and it is working. Atlas gets up out of his chair and gets in the face of Piper! Piper starts yelling back and this distraction is enough for the Sheepherders to sneak attack Atlas from behind. The 3-1 goes on for about two minutes and Atlas is left lying in the middle of the set of Piper’s Pit. Piper announces to the fans that they better get used to seeing Atlas flat on his back and that there is no way Atlas will be a champion after this Monday in the Omni. Piper drops the microphone on the chest of Atlas and he and the Sheepherders leave the set. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ Match: Jimmy Valiant, Tommy Rich, Jerry Lawler vs Austin Idol and The Kansas Jayhawks This could be a main event match anywhere in the country and the in- studio fans and TBS fans around the United States can’t believe they get to see it for free. The match goes as expected. Many momentum changes, wild pier 6 brawls, action inside and outside of the ring along with the original “Mr. Perfect,” Rock Riddle doing his best to make sure his Perfect Stable comes out on top. Riddle distracted ref Paul Morton which allowed the Jayhawks and Idol to triple team Rich. When Morton finally turned his attention back to the mat, Rich was in serious trouble. The Jawhawks whipped him into the ropes and nailed him with a double clothesline but Valiant slapped Rich on the way by making him the legal man in the ring. Mantell tagged in Idol. He came in to scoop up Rich for a massive bodyslam thinking Rich was still the legal man in the ring. Valiant snuck up behind and rolled up the champ for the 1...2...3. Jimmy Valiant just earned a victory over the champ and the fans. The Perfect Stable is beside themselves and screaming at Morton but there is nothing he can do about it. Lawler, Rich and Valiant go to the interview desk where they are congratulated by both Russell and Solie. Rich and Lawler talk about how they are so excited for the World Tag Team Title semi-finals and finals and how they are going to put that low life Humperdink in his place. Rich talks about the last time he met Sawyer in the Omni and how happy he is going to be to whoop up on that dirty dog again. Valiant starts to call out Austin Idol. He says anytime, anyplace, baby! He says how he is going to do the Boogie Woogie all over Idol and that he won’t know what hit him. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ Match: The Sheepherders with JR Foley vs The Ft. Bragg Brotherhood This quarter final match of the USWA Tag Title Tournament really has the fans excited. The Fort Bragg Brotherhood, PVT. Kernodle and CPL. Kirchner comes to the ring waving the red, white and blue and the fans are all behind them. This excitement quickly turns to boos as JR Foley, dressed in Army fatigues and sporting a Hitler style mustache leads the Sheepherders to the ring carrying the British Commonwealth flag. All three are antagonizing the fans as they head to the ring. As for the match, it is high energy all the way with many momentum changes but in the end, The Sheepherders, along with the constant distracting by Foley prove too much for the Brotherhood. The Sheepherders nail Kirchner with a battering ram and ref Jerry Calhoun makes the 3 count before Kernodle gets in to make the save. The British Commonwealth strut their way to the interview desk where they announce that the World Titles are as good as theirs. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ Match: MAIN EVENT: The Fabulous Ones vs The Claw Masters (Raschke & The Spoiler) Again the fans are treated to a great quarter final match in the Tag Tournament. This time it is Stan Lane and Steve Keir who get the fans going right from the beginning with their Sharp Dressed Man, tuxedo, and strip tease routine. In the end, the speed of the Fabulous Proves too much for The Clawmasters as Lane and Keirn connect with a double dropkick on Baron Von Raschke. As soon as the match is over The Sheepherders return to the ring and together with the Clawmasters beat the Fabulous Ones. Keirn and Lane have no chance in their 4-2 attack any everybody knows it but Gordon Solie reminds us anyway that the attack is all about injuring the Fabulous Ones so they can’t wrestle Monday at the First Battle of Atlanta against the Sheepherders. Russell and Solie continue to call the mayhem as time winds down in the show until finally Solie announces So long from Atlanta. The screen fades to black.

UNITED STATES WRESTLING ASSOCIATION NEWS -Ted Turner and Jerry Jarrett are all about expansion but they feel it would be in the best interest to the organization that if they were able to acquire other promotions who are already established and allow them to be member organizations to the USWA. It has been said that Jarrett has offered them opportunities to even control the World Champions for periods of time but so far he has received little interest. Jarrett is also thinking of vacated some of the Championship Belts in the USWA and giving complete control of them to any new promotions willing to join the USWA. -While the ratings for the Saturday and Sunday shows are on the rise, many of the wrestlers have complained that they are not having their talents showcased enough. Ted Turner and Jerry Jarrett have told each any everyone that they must earn TV time. They have decided to increase the number of house shows per month by adding a second show to the schedule on many nights. These extra house shows will give people like Bugsy McGraw and Brett Wayne a chance to win over the fans and then maybe get a shot at TBS. -The board of directors believes that the Russian angle will work no matter the Russian. They know they have like a D level Russian in Korstia Korchenko and are looking to improve this part of the roster but they do not wish to abandon the idea. They know full well that the Hatred of Russian Wrestlers means dollar signs for them. -Talks with Fritz VonErich continue but it seems like he wants to Dallas to be on equal ground with Memphis and Atlanta. Other than Dallas, Fritz has little to offer as currently there is no WCCW and his sons are in Florida. We will just have to see if the VonErich name is enough to entice Turner and Jarrett. -All eyes are the First Battle of Atlanta on March 12. This is the first major show for USWA and a lot is riding on this. Since it is also being televised on national TV, their is concern for the attendance. It is rumored that Turner will give free tickets to any child with an "A"on a test who is accompanied by a paying adult. His theory is that a packed Omni looks good on TV and the more people equals the more energy. -There has also been the rumor that Turner is down on Plowboy Frazier and his cousins. Turner is unsure if this Hillbilly routine will be successful in some of the larger cities he wants to bring USWA to. He knows how great they are in the country side of Dixie but he would be happier adding to the Russian Mob or Ladd's Army.

USWA WRESTLING: 3/6/1984: WTBS SHOW AIRED NATIONALLY 5:05-6:05 TAPPED IN MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE “Yello again everybody. Welcome to USWA Wrestling here on WTBS. I am Lance Russell along with Gordon Solie. We have a jam packed show tonight so let’s get right to our first match.” Match: Korstia Korchenko vs Private Kernodle Korchenko comes to the ring hearing a chorus of boos and he is also all alone. It is just one day since he lost his first match in the USWA as a member of the House of Humperdink. After his defeat to Jimmy Valiant, Humperdink turned on him and attacked him with Buzz Sawyer and Hercules Hernandez. Korchenko comes to the ring carrying the Russian flag and asks for the fans to stand will he sings the Russian National Anthem. The fans now boo even louder as he begins the song. Half way through, the fans erupt as Pvt. Kernodle heads to the ring carrying the United States flag. As for the match, Korchenko is doing much better tonight. Maybe it was jet lag that made him look so bad last night. This match is back and forth for about 5 minutes with both men turning it into a brawl. All of sudden, Gordon Solie announces the approach of Buzz Sawyer and Hercules Hernandez. They hit the ring and continue last night’s beating of Korchenko. This is one of the few times that the House of Humperdink hears the cheers for them. Ref Paul Morton quickly calls for the bell. Pvt. Kernodle does not know what to do so he simply hangs out in the corner. Next to the ring and on the attack is Plowboy Frazier, Hillbilly Jim and Big Bubba. Last night, Jerry Jarrett announced that Sawyer and Hercules will face Frazier and Hillbilly Jim in the first ever Loser Leave Town Televised Match next Sunday. This feud has been brewing long since before the USWA was even born. Frazier quit the House of Humperdink due to Humperdink’s allegiance with Tojo Yamamoto who denounced America and said that Japan should execute another attack on America like they had done in Japan. They head right for the House of Humperdink and go on the attack. It is now 4 against 3 and Korchenko has Sir Oliver Humperdink by the throat. The fans are going wild as this is turning into a full riot. Tojo Yamamoto rushes to the ring leading both Mr. Saito and Killer Khan into action. Khan quickly sprays the Asian green mist into the eyes of Kernodle and then they go after Frazier. Solie is pleading for help from the back but I don’t think there is enough security to stop this mayhem that Lance Russell is announcing. Finally, Corporal Kirchner and Sgt. Slaughter hit the ring and turn the tide in favor of the good guys. Slaughter tosses Khan and Saito to the floor while the Hillbillies take care of the House of Humperdink. Somehow, Korchenko has escaped to the locker room and he is lucky as he did not have a friend anywhere in the ring. The Hillbillies and The Fort Bragg Brotherhood stand united in the ring daring their enemies to make another attack. Humperdink and Yamamoto decide discretion is the better part of valor and head to the locker room. The Hillbillies and the Fort Bragg Brotherhood head to the interview desk where Frazier and Hillbilly Jim announce it will be there pleasure to rid the USWA of such low lives as the House of Humperdink. Sgt. Slaughter speaks for the Brotherhood and says that he is sick and tired of the Shogunate “maggots” and that they better be ready for a fight they will never forgot. As they are heading to commercial break, Lance Russell can be over heard speaking to Gordon Solie. “What in the Sam Hill was that all about?” Solie replied that he has not seen a brawl like that to start a show in a long, long time. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ Interview with The Kansas Jayhawks and Austin Idol with Rock Riddle (Review Sat attack) Solie and Russell want an explanation for last night’s attack on Tommy “Wildfire” Rich and that it was over the top that they tried to hang him with their bull ropes. Rock Riddle says that Tommy Rich tries to play the part of the “perfect” wrestler but it fact he is just a dirty rule breaker who has all the fans fooled. Riddle went on to remind people that he is “the original Mr. Perfect” and that his men, Bobby Jaggers, Dutch Mantell, and Austin Idol have now formed the perfect stable and if Rich dares to get in the way that he will really be hanged next time. Jaggers and Mantell, both spitting tobacco as they speak go on with a rant about how the same will hold true for them ignorant rookies, Bam Bam Bigelow and Shane Douglas if they continue to follow the likes of Jerry Lawler. They continue to announce how they are going to wipe the mat with Lawler and Rich in tonight’s main event. This match was to be just a second round match in the USWA World Tag Team Title Tournament but now throw in the attempted hanging of Tommy Rich last night by the Jawhawks and this match has the making a an all-out war! Idol takes the microphone and in an unusual moment of calmness says that he is going to end the careers of both Lawler and Rich. He is tired of those two thinking they saved Memphis and Georgia wrestling from disaster. He calls them both arrogant and naïve and that they better watch their backs. “The Perfect Stable” walks off set” as Lance Russell turns his attention to the ring and the next match. Match: The Sheepherders and Roddy Piper with JR Foley vs Bam Bam Bigelow, Shane Douglas and Jimmy Valiant This match was very exciting. Jimmy Valiant had the entire match in the palm of his hand as the Commonwealth could not figure out his unorthodox style. He was hitting them with rights and lefts and sometimes taking on two men at once. JR Foley distracted the ref, Paul Morton, long enough for Piper to execute a low blow on Valiant and the match was never the same. The rookies performed well but were just not used to the dirty tactics of the Sheepherders and Piper. Douglas was able to connect with a powerbomb on Luke Williams but Butch Miller made the save before the count of one. Eventually, with Valiant and Piper brawling outside the ring, the Sheepherders knocked Douglas off the apron and then connected with a “Battering Ram” on Bigelow for the victory. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ MATCH: USWA NATIONAL TITLE MATCH: MR. USA TONY ATLAS VS PORKCHOP CASH Tony Atlas has been a fighting champion and tonight is no different. He has taken on all comers and tonight, he will be facing the one man Ernie Ladd has left in his Army. Atlas comes to the ring to a loud ovation and this fan support helps him to gain the momentum right away. There a few momentum swings but at about the 9:00 mark, Atlas seems to be on the verge of victory. Unfortunately for him, as he lifted Cash up for a Gorilla Press Slam, he did not see Ladd attacking from the back. Ladd connects with a Big Boot from behind as Atlas held Cash up in the air. Atlas crumbled to the ground and ref Paul Morton quickly called for the bell disqualifying Cash. The two don’t seem to care and just beat Atlas for a few minutes. Solie is heard saying, “and it looks like… yes it is indeed Butch Reed coming to the aid of his now friend Tony Atlas.” Reed hits the ring but he is all alone at Atlas is down. Ladd and Cash survive the initial onslaught and then take down Reed. Cash drapes Reed’s leg across the ropes as Ladd nails it with Big Boot after Big Boot. Reed appears unable to stand up and Atlas definitely needs medical attention. When they think there work is done, Cash and Ladd head to the interview desk. Ladd grabs the microphone and tells Solie and Russell not to speak for once is their useless lives but to listen. Ladd goes on to say that he heard that Atlas and Reed want to rid wrestling of Ernie Ladd! He lets the fans know that that is not going to happen and that his army is once again growing stronger. Stronger in talent, stronger in will and most importantly, stronger in numbers. Lance Russell asks who now has defected to his “Army.” Ladd and Cash ignore the question and raise their fist in a sign of black power and walk off. Solie, in a very sarcastic way says, “Fair enough. Let’s take a break.” __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ 2nd Rd Match: USWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT: Jerry Lawler & Tommy Rich vs The Kansas Jayhawks with Rock Riddle The fans are on the edge of their seats for this one. Rock Riddle is quickly becoming one of the most hated men in all of the USWA but there is no denying that he has his men performing on a very high level. As Rich and Lawler are being announced, The Jayhawks sneak attack. Martell is all over Rich and Jaggers is beating Lawler. Ref Jerry Calhoun finally restores order and Lawler and Jaggers are the legal men in the ring. Lawler is able to gain the momentum and almost claims the victory after a “Vertical Suplayyy” as Solie describes the action but Mantell made the save. The action is now high paced with a lot of brawling tactics for the next 10 minutes or so. The end comes as Riddle distracts the ref after Mantell connected on a high, high hip toss which had Tommy Rich arching his back in pain. This distraction allows Mantell to reach in to his trunks and pull something out and place it inside his knee pad. The fans are screaming but the ref has no idea why. Mantell whips Rich into the ropes and goes for a running knee to the skull but Rich leaps over the knee and nails “Dirty” Dutch with a Lou Thesz Press. As the ref begins the count, Jaggers rushes in to make the save but Lawler catches him with a running clothesline. Jerry Calhoun completes the 3 count and the fans go wild. Lance Russell announce that Rich and Lawler have now reached the Semifinals in the USWA World Tag Title Tournament. Gordon Solie announces that they are just about out of time but for everyone come on out to the Mid-South Coliseum this Monday night for some great USWA Wrestling . Solie finishes with “The USWA says So long from Memphis. The Credits roll while the chaos continues. The screen fades to black.

He then climbed the ropes waving the American Flag as the patriotic crowd went wild. · Wrestler of the Week: Austin Idol The USWA World Champion legitimized this new wrestling organization by going out and defeating one of the best wrestlers in the world, Mil Mascaras. This match was the main event last Monday at while the fans were clearly in Mascaras’s corner, Idol’s win proves that the USWA World Champion can wrestle and defeat anyone in the business. Mascaras wowed the crowd with his aerial attacks but in the end, Idol was able to slap on the Las Vegas Leglock for the victory. Mascaras claimed that Idol’s manager, Rock Riddle tripped him which changed the momentum in favor of the champ but “Mr. Wonderful,” Rock Riddle says that was just sour grapes. · OTHER NOTES Dave continues on about the event at the Omni on March 12th saying it is billed as “The First Battle of Atlanta” and that it will be the first major event in USWA history. Humperdink tells the “Pencil Nose” to shut up and he is not in favor of any country. He is in favor a wrestlers who will bring him titles and he sent a lot of money to the Kremlin to get Korchenko here. Solie asks him how could he trust the Kremlin! Humperdink quickly changes the subject to Plowboy Frazier and that he wants Frazier and that stupid cousin of his in a loser leave town match because he can’t stomach to be in the same organizations as those hicks. All of a sudden a phone by the desk rings. Solie excuses himself as he picks up the phone. Solie is heard saying, “Waitaminute. Did I hear you correctly Mr. Jarrett. Ok, I will tell him right now. No question about it. He might not like that but I will tell him. Indeed.” Humperdink starts to yell at him and tell Solie how rude that was. Solie says he is sorry and that he has a message for Humperdink. Humperdink acts like he can’t be bothered. Solie says Jarrett said that Jarrett has agreed to the loser-leaf down match between the House of Humperdink and Plowboy Frazier and Hillbilly Jim and that this match will be the first loser leave town match on National Television. It will be next Sunday, March 11th. Humperdink seems very happy with that idea. Solie continues with the other part of Jarrett’s message which is that since the Main Event today is part of the USWA Tournament that it will not be part of the $5000 Humperdink Challenge. Humperdink now looks relieved as he believes that he might have just saved a lot of money. While he has confidence in his men, he was unsure if Sawyer and Hernandez could defeat Atlas and Reed in less than 5 minutes. Humperdink says that Jarrett has finally made a decision using his brain. Solie says he is not done. Jarrett is forcing the House of Humperdink Challenge to continue tonight and that Korchenko must be the man involved. Humperdink seems ok with that until Solie says that Jarrett has picked his opponent for him and that Korchenko should head to the ring now. MATCH: House of Humperdink Challenge: Korstia Korchenko vs A Mystery Opponent The fans are still screaming as Humperdink escorts Korchenko to the ring. Korchenko enters the ring waving the flag of the USSR and asks the fans to stand for the Russian National Anthem. The fans will have nothing to do with this and berate him the entire time. To the surprise of Korchenko his microphone goes dead and the fans hear “The Boy from New York City” begin to blare over the speakers. The fans go wild as The Boogie Woogie Man, Jimmy Valiant comes dancing out. Once in the ring, Valiant goes right after Korchenko. Ref Paul Morton calls for the bell and the match is official. Valiant just beats the hell out of Korchenko for 5 minutes when he finally puts him out of his misery when he follows up an elbow smash with a piledriver. Humperdink is beside himself and goes after Korchenko. He summons Sawyer and Hernandez from the back and the crowd is nervous for Jimmy Valiant. Instead, Humperdink tells his men to attack Korchenko and they continue the beating. Morton hands the Boogie Woogie Man $5000 of Humperdink’s money and as the beating of Korchenko continues, Valiant circles the outside of the ring high fiving the fans and actually handing them some of Humperdink’s money. They are going wild as Valiant leaves the ring area. Solie says “We will be right back. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ MATCH: Ernie Ladd and Porkchop Cash vs Wendell Cooley and Steve Simpson Ladd and Cash struggle a bit in this match as the rookies continue to improve. Ladd was able to distract the ref while Cash hit Cooley with a low blow. Cash quickly tagged in Ladd who connected with a Big Boot for the win at 9:45. Ladd and Cash make their way to the interview desk where they are congratulated by Russell and Solie but Ladd wants nothing to do with nice talk and goes right to calling out Hacksaw Butch Reed. He continues to say that his Army is not done with Reed and before all is said and done, he will run Reed out of the USWA. Cash and Ladd raise their fists in a sign of black power and walk off set. Gordon Solie says “fair enough. We will have to get Reed’s take on this whole situation. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ The Fabulous Ones go to the interview desk where they are welcomed by Solie and Russell. Both Keirn and Lane express excitement for their victory in the first round of the USWA World Tag Team Title Tournament and promise the fans that they are going to try their best against Baron Von Raschke and The Spoiler this Monday at the Mid-South Coliseum. Solie and Russell thank them for their time and wish them luck in tonight’s match as they head to the ring. Match: The Fabulous Ones vs Tommy Gilbert and Brett Wayne The fans go wild as they are so excited to have the Fab Ones back in town. They come out to ZZ Top and “Sharpe Dressed Man.” They are dressed in partial tuxedos and perform a partial strip tease as the young ladies in the audience go crazy. As for the match, it is high energy all the way with two athletic and popular face teams going head to head. Both teams perform some great double team moves and there are a few momentum changes. It looked like the Gilbert and Wayne might pull off the upset as Wayne went for a Frog Splash off the top rope, but Stan Lane rolled out of the way at the last second. He followed that up with a quick tag to Keirn who hooked in the inverted Boston Crab which caused the tap out at 7:54. The two teams shook hands after the match which is always nice to see. Gilbert and Wayne headed back to the locker room when from out of nowhere came The Spoiler and Baron Von Raschke with chairs. They each hit one of the Fabulous Ones in the back with a chair and then went straight for their specialties, The Brain Claw. The Fabulous Ones were screaming in pain and tapping out but the Clawmasters refused to release the hold. The crowd began to scream as Tommy Rich and Jerry Lawler hit the ring and threw some wild haymakers before the Clawmasters ran for cover. Rich, Lawler and The Fabulous Ones go to the interview desk where Rich and Lawler are all fired up saying that they got each other’s back and anytime these goons want a piece of them all they got to do is show up. The Fabulous Ones, a bit wobbly but regaining their composure now really hype up their match with Raschke and the Spoiler for Monday night saying these two have no idea what they have just done and that they can’t wait to get some revenge. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ Piper’s Pit with Special Guest Hillbilly Jim Roddy Piper makes his way out to the set and sits in one of the two chairs that are there. The Sheepherders follow Piper out and stand behind him with their arms folded. Piper calls out Hillbilly Jim but starts to insult his intelligence even before Jim gets to the set. He asks the Sheepherders if they think this big redneck will be able to find the set without a map. The Sheepherders emphatically shake their heads no. When Jim does get on set, Piper asks him where he is from and gets the response, Mudlick, Kentucky. Piper repeats Mudlick, Kentucky and then asks if he ever met anybody with teeth before. Jim kind of shrugs it off and keeps smiling. Piper wants to know if Jim has ever wraseld before and Jim says he tussled with the pigs a bit but nothing like this before. Piper starts making some fiddle noises with his mouth and Jim just keeps smiling. Piper says that he has a proposition for him and that he would like to become his manager and that he would pay him $200 a week. Jim says that is awful nice of him but he would have to ask his cousins first. Piper says that any decision he was going to make should be made with brain cells and since his cousins don’t have any, he should just listen to Piper. Jim keeps saying he doesn’t know but Piper keeps the pressure on all the while making hillbilly jokes. The crows starts to stir and from the back comes Plowboy Frazier and Big Bubba. They tell Piper that they have heard enough and usher Hillbilly Jim away. Piper says a few more redneck jokes and walks off set. Hillbilly Jim has now become kind of like the class pet to the entire USWA Universe. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ Match: USWA WORLD CHAMPION AUSTIN IDOL with Rock Riddle vs Sweet Brown Sugar In a non-title match, the fans are treated to an excellent match. The match has a few momentum changes but in the end, Rock Riddle hit Sweet Brown Sugar with a chair to the knee after Idol tossed him through the middle ropes. Ref Jerry Calhoun took a moment to admonish Idol and this is when the damage was done. Riddle rolled Sugar back into the ring where Idol clamped on the Las Vegas Leglock. This lead to his victory by submission at the 11:04 mark. Riddle and Idol headed to the interview desk where both Russell and Solie questioned their ethics. Riddle and Idol acted like they had no idea what they were talking about. Riddle went on to remind fans that he was the “Original Mr. Wonderful” and that together, Austin Idol was quickly becoming the “Perfect World Champion.” Idol spent the next few minutes calling out Lawler, Rich and Valiant and saying that they were not worth his time and that Jarrett should really hire some competition for. Lance Russell said that Jerry Jarrett had given him a message to relay to Austin Idol. Idol said that Jarrett was too much of a coward to be here in person to deliver it but for Russell to get on with it. Russell said that Idol would defend his belt at the First Battle of Atlanta on March 12th and that his opponent would be announce tomorrow night right here on WTBS. Idol acted like it did not matter who it was and that he could beat anyone. Riddle and Idol strut off set. _____________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL PLAYS FOR JERRY LAWLER’S NEW RESTAURANT ______________________________________________________________ Match: Tommy Rich vs “Dirty” Dutch Mantel with Rock Riddle This is a rare singles match for Mantel since his return to the area but the fans know how ruthless he can be. When Rich makes his way to the ring, the goes go wild and are all over him. There is little resemblance to a wrestling match as these two just are in an all-out brawl. It looked like Rich was to gain the victory after he followed up a huge elbow drop with a sleeper but before the ref counted out Mantell, the fans started to scream as both Bobby Jaggers and Austin Idol hit the ring. They beat on Rich for a moment and then tied their bull ropes around the neck on Tommy Rich. Those CWA fans in Memphis recently saw the Jayhawks do this to Mark Youngblood and Jules Strongbow and you could feel the tension in the air. They were about to launch Rich over the top rope and basically hang him with their bull ropes. Just before this occurred, the TV audience heard Solie say that help was on the way. Jerry Lawler hit the ring with his two protégées, Bam Bam Bigelow and Shane Douglas. They quickly threw some big punches and cleared the ring. Rock Riddle’s Gang of Perfection left the set to fight another day. Lawler untied Rich and the 4 men headed to the interview desk. Russell and Solie thanked Lawler, Bigelow and Douglas for helping Tommy Rich. Tommy Rich also thanked them but went on to say that all that was, was a set up! Lawler and Rich are going to take on the Jawhawks tomorrow night in a second round match for the USWA World Tag Titles and they were just trying to one of us out. Lawler takes the microphone and goes off on Riddle and Idol and says that his days as champ are numbered. __________________________________________________________________________ COMMERCIAL BREAK WITH PROMO FOR UPCOMING SHOWS __________________________________________________________________________ Match: MAIN EVENT: Hacksaw Butch Reed and Tony Atlas vs Hercules Hernandez and Buzz Sawyer with Sir Oliver Humperdink Again, the USWA continues to change what wrestling on TV is all about. This could be a main event in any arena in the country and tonight, it is free on national television. Gordon Solie begins by saying, “Katie bar the door, indeed, this is going to be something special.” Gordon Solie could not have been more right. This match had it all. From momentum changes to Humperdink trying to get involved to all 4 men in the ring at the same time with Lance Russell saying, “You cannot believe the mayhem. The fans were at the edge of their seats but things looked bleak. Reed and Atlas just couldn’t get anything going. For once, their strength was somewhat neutralized as Hernandez is just a beast and Sawyer, as Solie said, has a low center of gravity and was tough to take off his feet. After a quick double team move by the House of Humperdink, Sawyer climbed to the top and hit a huge frog splash on Reed. The only reason why this was not the end was that Atlas made the save. Hernandez now went after Atlas and ref Jerry Calhoun lost control. Humperdink was able to slip Sawyer some sort of foreign object and he connected with Reed’s temple and out went the lights. While Hernandez and Atlas continued their brawl, Sawyer covered Reed for the pin! Ernie Ladd and Porkchop Cash took this perfect opportunity to attack Atlas and Reed. This beating continued as Sawyer and Hernandez joined in. It was now 4-2 until the fans started to scream and Plowboy Frazier and Hillbilly Jim hit the ring and went right after the House of Humperdink. The 8 man brawl continues with Russell saying,”You cannot believe the mayhem. As time winds down on the show, Solie tells the fans, “So long from Memphis.” The screen fades to black.

Southeastern Championship Wrestling - Event Centre 1984
kevinmcfl replied to Boon's topic in Promotions
Love wrestling from the "Heart of Dixie" Liked the match with Michaels and how he is continuing to learn Good Luck to the RnR. They have a lot of quality teams to deal with in Southeastern Championship Wrestling. Loved the Beat the Champ Match. Those dirty nightmares switching those masks only to be sold out by the ref. Wonder if Johnny Rich can do what Tommy couldn't? Love Bob teaching his sons how to take a beating! -
Could USWA have Brody on March 12
-
You did it again. You took someone I couldn't figure out how to use and made him a star in one show! Good for you and Lord Humongous!
-
Just love everything you do! You do a great job of bringing in talent to keep your angles fresh. I also think the Japan tour stuff with Hogan actually makes your promotion better. It is like a rush of excitement when he returns. I am not a Hogan fan but their is no doubt about the energy he brings. That main event with the Sinister 6 was just so well done. I could read each part of the match and I could envision it in my head!
-
Glad to see you are back! You do such a wonderful job with those interviews and I couldn't stand not to read about Dusty vs Sullivan! Great show as always! Very good work with the graphics. Looking forward to Battle of the Belts!
-
Thanks so much for the review! I took some of your writing ideas with the tag matches and then building them to 6 or 8 main tag matches to keep feuds going and then run the singles matches as part of the super cards.
-
Love the idea of a Snuka-Flair rematch I admit that I m not a wrestling expert but I don't remember Bockwinkle and Funk on the same team. I think you have come up with something special that the actual promoters missed in real life. Same goes for Race and Adams. GREAT USE OF YOUR ROSTER! Your tag team division has so many options that I never know who is going to be on top. That is what wrestling is all about. Keep the fans guessing. Great Job!
