Really solid card! Lewin is a great opponent for Gantner, I see more battles in their future. Hot Property had a good run here and I'm sure the Assassin will have a great on tv gloating about this win! Great win for Cooley/Johnson over the Caspian Empire! What a wild main event with Orndorff/Singh....I'm really digging Orndorff as the Champion!

World Class Championship Wrestling Will Rogers Coliseum Ft. Six Man Challenge Match The Great Muta/Kendo Nagasaki/Killer Khan w/Tojo Yamamoto defeated Mr. Wrestling 2/Mr. Wrestling 3/Mr. Olympia when Khan pinned Mr. Wrestling 2 after a running knee drop. WCCW Television Championship Scott Putski defeated "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert w/Missy Hyatt by DQ when the Missing Link interfered right in front of referee David Manning, post match Rip Rogers came in the ring….and started berating Link for "screwing up yet again!"…..Rogers eventually slapped Link who then decked Rogers and started putting the boots to him….Missy handed her purse off to Gilbert who clocked Link in the head with it….Link dropped to one knee and then shook it off, Rogers jumped on his back……but Link threw him off….as he turned around to charge Gilbert, "Hot Stuff" through a fireball in his face Link went down holding his face as Gilbert, Rogers, and Missy all stomped him until Beefcake, Houston, and Putski hit the ring to make the save. LOSERS LEAVE TOWN The Dirty White Boys (Len Denton/Tony Anthony) defeated The Southern Boys (Steve Armstrong/Tracy Smothers) when Denton pinned Smothers after kicking him with his "loaded boot" #1 Contender's Match for the Texas Championship (Winner gets a shot at anytime of their choosing) "Adorable" Adrian Adonis w/Percy Pringle & Ted Arcidi pinned "Exotic" Adrian Street w/Ms. Linda with his feet on the ropes Top Contenders Match to Crown a new NWA North American Champion Terry Funk w/Gary Hart (NWA Texas Champion) Vs. "Dr. D" David Shultz Highlights: Funk limped his way out to the ring with his knee heavily wrapped with a brace on it……as the bell ring, Shultz walked to the middle of the ring and stuck his hand out for a handshake….Funk hobbled over and shook his hand but before Shultz released his hand he brutally kicked him right in the knee and Funk crumbled to the mat….Shultz began to stomp away on the injured knee and tore off the knee brace and then began unwrapping the knee……Funk scratched and clawed and tried everything he could to fight back….after several minutes of working over the already injured knee….in the ultimate act of "insult to injury" Shultz slapped a spinning toe hold on Funk! Funk was screaming in pain but refusing to submit as Gary Hart yelled him to "be a man!! Fight back!!" finally Jimmy Jack Funk comes down and throws in the towel mercifully ending the match……"Dr. D" David Shultz is your new NWA North American Champion! After Shultz leaves, Gary Hart walks away in disgust abandoning both Funks in the ring…..Jimmy Jack struggles to try and help Terry off the mat….when suddenly Percy Pringle, Ted Arcidi, and Adrian Adonis comes to ringside…..Percy Pringle grabs a microphone, "Adrian Adonis just won a match stating he gets a Texas Championship Match ANYTIME he wants….well we want it RIGHT NOW!! Get the referee down here….let's go!" Jimmy Jack Funk comes over to argue with Pringle but gets attacked from behind by Arcidi….referee Bronko Lubbich comes down to the ring and instructs them to "ring the bell!" I really love this slow build interaction with Brisco and Landel, looking forward to seeing where it leads in the long run Ole and the Koloffs react perfectly to the World title loss and seem even more dangerous going into the rematch. Parsons is a great fit in UWF and his feud with Luger/Doll/Ladd should be fun. Lawler vs. HTM is a great old school southern feud and should get a lot of heat especially in Memphis.
-
Fun stuff happening in Mid-Atlatic, I'm loving the Bad News/Bundy feud and now we get Wildfire vs. Mad Dog?? This is going to be great! Another great promo from Dibiase and the Awesome Twosome! Kernodle has really been a stand out both here and in Lutte in recent months, it's amazing how much you guys have raised his stock with some great booking! Rock Riddle always delivers the goods on the mic, I love the way he handled the departure of Prichard.

World Class Championship Wrestling TV Recorded at the Sportatorium in Dallas, TX on 7/24 Airing on Friday 7/25 on WTVT throughout Texas And various outlets across the Southwest Hosted by Bill Mercer and Bruce Prichard Ring Announcer/Interviewer: Marc Lowrance (Show opens with highlights from the Bash, Gilbert pinning Beefcake, Maeda kicking Nagasaki, Shultz getting his hand raised at the end of the Bunkhouse Battle Royal, Brody/Hansen getting the win over the Rock & Roll Express, still pics of the WARGAMES, and footage of Kerry's entrance and scenes from the post match celebration with the NWA World Championship!) Mercer: "Perhaps one of the biggest and most exciting events in World Class history took place at the Cotton Bowl as the Great American Bash '86 rolled through Dallas and it was great wrestling action like only the NWA can bring you." Prichard: "I have to say that even I was impressed with all the great action that took place and while I may not be a fan of his….how exciting was it to see Kerry Von Erich win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship from the 'Russian Nightmare' Nikita Koloff!" Mercer: "It certainly was and speaking of Kerry winning the World Championship, tonight we will find out the fate of the NWA North American Championship as he cannot hold both titles at the same time, but right now let's go to the ring for our opening bout of the evening." MATCH #1: Scott Putski pinned 'Cowboy' Don Bass with a powerslam (Marc Lowrance approaches Putski after his match to talk about his TV title match against Eddie Gilbert tomorrow night in Ft. Worth) Putski: "Even though he's only been the champion for a short amount of time, Eddie Gilbert has used Missy Hyatt and his flunkies to keep that title by hook or by crook….well tomorrow night my buddies Sam Houston and Brutus Beefcake will take care of Rip Rogers and the Missing Link and then Gilbert that just leaves you and I to face off for that TV Championship!" COMMERCIALS MATCH #2: The Great Muta/Kendo Nagasaki w/Tojo Yamamoto defeated Ronnie Jenkins/Will Owens when Muta pinned Owens with a moonsault VTR: Footage is shown of Tojo training his men Muta/Nagasaki/Khan in the dojo (Marc Lowrance is in the locker room with "Adorable" Adrian Adonis, Percy Pringle, and Ted Arcidi) Pringle: "Marc Lowrance, could the Great American Bash have been anymore glorious for the Pringle Dynasty??" Lowrance: "I suppose you had a good showing." Pringle: "Suppose we had a good showing?? Are you kidding me? The Mega Stars had a victorious debut and showed why they will be the World tag team champions within the next six months. But what really topped it off was when I…..Percival Pringle the third….personally beat Adrian Street within an inch of his life and pinned his lifeless body." Lowrance: "That's not exactly accurate Percy." Adonis: "Don't spread lies Mike Lawrence, that's exactly what happened….Percy took care of my light work and now I'm done with Adrian Street….moving on!" Lowrance: "Moving on to what Mr. Adonis?" Adonis: "Championship gold, that's what! Look at me….I'm stunning, I'm what every man and woman aspires to be…..and the only thing missing from this package is championship gold around my adorable waist….so I'm laying out this challenge right now….I want a shot at a championship….doesn't matter which one….put me in the ring with a champ and they will become a former champ!" (Matchmaker Frank Dusek comes to ringside) Dusek: "Adrian, I have wonderful news for you." Pringle: "Spill it Dusek, what is it?" Dusek: Mr. Adonis wants to challenge for a championship, so I have put him in a match to determine a #1 Contender for the NWA Texas Heavyweight Championship tomorrow night in Ft. Worth." Adonis: "Well it's about time, Frankie…..and what unfortunate soul will I be facing?" Dusek: "That would be…..'Exotic' Adrian Street!" Adonis: "Dammit….I just said I'm done with him!" Dusek: "Ok, if you don't want a shot at the Texas title you don't have to wrestle him." Pringle: "We'll be there Dusek….if I can beat Street, then Adrian Adonis won't have ANY problem beating him and when Adonis wins, he gets a Texas title match anytime he wants right?" Dusek: "Yes, WHOMEVER wins the match gets a Texas title match whenever they choose." MATCH #3: "Exotic" Adrian Street w/Ms. Linda defeated Sammy Hall with a rolling cradle COMMERCIALS MATCH #4: The Southern Boys (Steve Armstrong/Tracy Smothers) defeated The Mega Stars (Rod Price/John Tatum) w/Percy Pringle & Ted Arcidi by DQ when the Dirty White Boys hit the ring and attacked them! (Post Match: The Dirty White Boys grab the microphone in the aisle) Denton: "Southern Boys….we are sick and tired of being sick and tired of you two! Even a state as big as Texas isn't big enough for the four of us…..so we are laying out the challenge right now…tomorrow night we want to face you two…one more time! Losers leave town!!" (Smothers asks for a mic in the ring) Smothers: "We couldn't agree more, boys. You want it…you got it! We'll be more than happy to make it losers leave town in Ft. Worth!" MATCH #5: Mr. Wrestling 3 w/Mr. Wrestling 2 pinned Randy Watson with a running kneelift COMMERCIALS (Bill Mercer is in the ring and introduces the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion 'the Modern Day Warrior' Kerry Von Erich who is wearing the NWA World title belt and carrying the NWA North American title, Frank Dusek is waiting in the ring as well) Mercer: "Kerry, congrats on becoming the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion." Kerry: "Thank you Mr. Mercer, but rather than congratulating me…you need to congratulate each and every one of these amazing fans because they are the reason we were all able to wake up from our 'Russian Nightmare'." (crowd pops) Mercer: "That’s absolutely true and now the real work begins when it comes to defending the championship." Kerry: "You're absolutely right, as a matter of fact tomorrow night in St. Louis, Nikita gets his rematch for this title….and I know he's going to be coming at me twice as hard as he did at the Bash….not to mention we'll be on his home turf in the UWF….so I will certainly have my work cut out for me." Dusek: "I'm glad you realize the long road you have ahead of you Kerry, defending the NWA World Championship can be overwhelming and it certainly requires 100% of your focus and attention. So, that being said….I'm going to have to ask you to surrender the NWA North American Championship." Kerry: "While I've been proud to represent the NWA as the North American Champion, I can only hope I've done the championship and my fans proud, but I do understand why this is necessary and I do hereby officially surrender the North American title. Once again, thanks to each every one of you who have supported me and my family….and I promise you I will be a fighting champion and will do not only World Class but Texas and all the Von Erich fans proud!" (with that Kerry exits the ring) Dusek: "Thank you Kerry for being a professional and doing the right thing. Now, I really didn't want to do another tournament this soon to crown a champion. My intention was to take the top two contenders for this title and have them face off….however, the #1 Contender is the Texas Champion Terry Funk and he sustained a pretty serious knee injury in the WARGAMES." (As Dusek finishes that sentence Dory Funk Jr and his brother slowly make their way to the ring as Terry is visibly limping) Terry: "Now you wait one damn minute Dusek…..you nor anyone else will tell Terry Funk when he can or can't compete….my knee is just fine…I just have to continue to walk it off but I'll be just fine to wrestle for that belt right there….all you have to do is tell me who/when/where and I'll be there." Dusek: "Well….if you insist. The when is tomorrow, the where is Ft. Worth…..as for who…it will be the winner of the Bunkhouse Battle Royal at the Bash who earned a title shot, 'Dr. D' David Shultz." Dory: "Hold on Terry, I don't think this is a good idea….Shultz is a lunatic and you could be injured far worse….let's postpone this match for a couple more weeks." Terry: "Dory, now dammit you're acting like our Dad……I'm fine…..my knee will be fine and I'm the lunatic that Shultz better be worried about!" Dusek: "Then it's settled, tomorrow we will crown a new NWA North American Champion when Terry Funk faces 'Dr. D' David Shultz!" COMMERCIALS NEXT WEEK: "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes will be here to talk about the WARGAMES and what's next for the Dream. Mr. Wrestling 3 Vs. The shenanigans continue with Garvin/Embry.....great stuff! Intrigued with the masked man/Candido angle...Could Candido be correct in his assumption of Bob Armstrong, or might he be mistaken? How is the NWA when you can watch a guy from Mid Atlantic settle a score with a guy from World Class in Lutte? Great match with Dibiase and Dory Jr.! -
Love the 10,000 calls gimmick from Tunney! Rockers vs. Tully/Arn will make for an exciting match on SNME. I like utilizing the Body Shop to keep things going with Hogan/Flair. Biggest boost to date for Hennig to hang with Flair for 45 minutes in a title match....he is going to be HUGE in the game down the line.
-
Loving the house shows....some fun pairings...most notably Dutch/Bart against Jaggers/Mercenario! WWC is perfect for Jos Leduc! Great six man tag match with Santana/Invaders against Owen & friends!

Kevin Von Erich Bull Gantner "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes Road Warrior Hawk Road Warrior Animal w/Paul Ellering/Mike & Lance Von Erich Vs. Michael "P.S" Hayes Terry 'Bam Bam' Gordy Terry Funk "Ravishing" Rick Rude "Ragin" Bull Manny Fernandez w/Ted Dibiase/Dory Funk Jr/Buddy Roberts Before the match begins, the cameras catch Ted Dibiase giving a speech to his team about how important it is they take out Dusty Rhodes and win this match On the other side, Dusty Rhodes is heard pumping up his team about how important historic first time match is…… ***HIGHLIGHTS*** Kevin Von Erich and Manny Fernandez start off this historic match…..they are both cautious and try to avoid contact with the cage…..the match starts off slow until the initial period is over and Team Hayes wins the coin toss which brings in Terry Funk for the 2 on 1 advantage…..Kevin held his own for minute or so but he couldn't overcome the numbers…..which led to Funk/Fernandez brutalizing him and busting his open until the horn went off for the next entry which was Dusty Rhodes! Rhodes comes in and starts throwing elbows at both Funk and the Bull…..Dusty rammed Funk's head into the cage and opening him up as well! Kevin managed to fight back and gets some offense in on Fernandez….Team Rhodes was in control until the next entry……Michael "P.S." Hayes! Hayes comes in and gouges the eyes of Dusty helping Funk take control….and pulls a chain out of his tights working over Kevin Von Erich…..eventually Hayes makes his way over to Rhodes and busts open his forehead using the chain as blood pours down the head of the American Dream….until the horn blows and in come……BULL GANTNER!! Bull comes in like a man possessed and starts leveling Fernandez, Hayes, and Funk with clotheslines……He puts Hayes on his shoulder and spears him into the cage wall busting him open as well….Gantner is on fire as he presses Funk over his head just ramming him over and over into the top of the cage…before dropping him onto his shoulder for a running powerslam!! Gantner seems unstoppable until the next man…."Ravishing" Rick Rude enters the fray…..Gantner charges Rude who sidesteps him and Gantner runs headfirst into the cage……Rude and Hernandez swarm on him and just unload with boots and fists until the big man is on the mat sucking wind….Dusty Rhodes is in bad shape as Funk chokes him with the chain that Hayes brought in while Hayes stomps on Kevin Von Erich….After a few minutes of the heels having the advantage….Road Warrior Animal enters the cage and goes on a rampage…..throwing guys around….Gantner manages to get a 2nd win as well…while Dusty and Kevin are still bloodied and in trouble…..the final entrant for the heel side is Terry 'Bam Bam' Gordy and hits the ring wide open laying in to Animal, and cutting off Gantner…..Gordy makes sure that his partners are back in control and they maintain that control until the final horn blows which brings in Road Warrior Hawk and now the 'MATCH BEYOND' begins….Submission or Surrender is the only way this fight ends……the battle rages on for several minutes until Gantner hit Terry Funk with a stiff 'chop block' from behind which allowed Dusty Rhodes to lock in a figure four leglock……Funk was screaming in pain….Kevin Von Erich went up on the ropes and dove off on Funk while he was still locked in the figure four leglock….Gantner got on top of Funk and started raining down right hands as Dusty cranked down on the figure four until Funk finally screamed, "I QUIT….He's breaking my goddamn leg…..I QUIT!!" With that the match is over…..the winners: The Road Warriors, Bull Gantner, Kevin Von Erich, and 'the American Dream' Dusty Rhodes!! Post match: Mike and Lance Von Erich along with Paul Ellering left the ring celebrating with the winners while Ted Dibiase, Dory Funk Jr, and Freebird Buddy Roberts entered the cage…..Dibiase immediately went over and started berating Terry Funk for losing the match…..Dory Funk Jr told Dibiase to calm down….Dibiase slapped Dory across the face causing Dory to shove him to the mat….and with that Fernandez and Rude attacked Dory Funk Jr and started putting the boots to him and was joined by Dibiase….the Freebirds simply shrug it off and walk away….as Terry Funk struggles to get to his feet, Dibiase kicks his injured knee sending him crashing back to the mat…Jimmy Jack Funk runs in to make the save but is met by all three Rude/Fernandez/Dibiase and doesn't fair to well as he gets left laying as well. (A short concert was performed by Lee Greenwood during the removal of the WARGAMES cage, Greenwood closed by performing his patriotic hit "God Bless the USA" as Kerry Von Erich made his way to the ring…Kerry was wearing a robe that had a Texas Flag and an American Flag side by side on the back that read:) "For David.…For Texas….For America" the reception from the hometown crowd was HUGE! Then the NWA World Champion made his way down to thunderous boos from the Dallas fans….Koloff seemed to thrive on this as he made his way through the hostile crowd. MAIN EVENT NWA World Heavyweight Championship "The Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff Vs. "The Modern Day Warrior" Kerry Von Erich ***Highlights*** As the opening bell rang, Nikita turned around and taunted the crowd eliciting a huge round of boos…..Koloff challenged Kerry to do the same and when Kerry did….the crowd went wild…..but when Kerry turned back around Nikita LEVELED him with a Russian sickle!! He went for the cover 1-2---2 3/4 and Kerry barely kicked out!! This put Koloff in control for the majority of the first half of the match…..Koloff went for another sickle but Kerry ducked and referee David Manning was taken out! Kerry clamped on the 'Iron Claw' and Nikita was in serious trouble but there was no ref in sight….Ole Anderson and Ivan Koloff hit the ring and attacked Kerry but before they could do very much damage, Lance and Mike Von Erich hit the ring and evened the odds, throwing them out to the floor and chasing them up the aisle……as Kerry struggled to get back to his feet….Nikita leveled him with a 2ND RUSSIAN SICKLE!! Koloff covered Kerry…for a few seconds until another referee finally made it down to the ring…he counts….1……2……and he's pulled out of the ring by……"DR. D" DAVID SHULTZ!! Shultz tells the referee that Ole and Ivan interfered and the referee tells Shultz to leave ringside! Meanwhile Nikita comes over and yells at Shultz to "get out of here!" Nikita turns around and charges Kerry with another Russian Sickle but Kerry ducks again and Nikita slams into the turnbuckle, he staggers back out into a discus punch from Kerry for the 1--2--3!!! The Dallas crowd erupts as after 23 minutes 49 seconds we have a new NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!! The Modern Day Warrior Kerry Von Erich!!! 'Tom Sawyer' by Rush blasts across the PA as the fellow babyfaces fill the ring to congratulate the new champion!

I love seeing the Heavenly Bodies with Johnny V, this should make for some fun promos and interesting action. Bugsy McGraw is a great fit here as well. I think "Superstar" Billy Graham can really give some value to Portland and allow you to build of his history and reputation. Speaking of Graham, great main event against Sika!
-
Love the debut for the Nasty Boys! Perfect first feud for Sting/Warrior! I don't have an issue with Bunkhouse Buck being here seeing as how it's the WWF and Golden more than likely would have been given a gimmick if he went there in this era....there's been plenty of other personas introduced early in the game. Arn/Tully vs. The Bulldogs would be enough to get my money, but Wahoo vs. Studd is a fun match up as well.

Lutte Internationale/International Wrestling July 1986
GeneJackson95 replied to SirEdger's topic in Promotions
Wow, Lutte keeps you on the edge of your seat. Interesting dynamic with Embry, Garvin, and Andre...of course no one loves the antics of Embry and Garvin more than me so I'm excited to see where this goes! -
The Awesome Twosome send a message to Dusty via his new found friend Bull Gantner. Glad to see Bad News get a measure of revenge over on I'm sure the culprit of the earlier attack in the locker room. This is one of my favorite feuds in the game right now!

WCCW News & Notes Huge news out of Dallas this week as WCCW has been picked up by cable sports channel ESPN! Ever since Dusty Rhodes made his way into the company he has pushed for WCCW step up and make some moves to become a bigger force within the wrestling world. Apparently, this is a project Dusty has been working on for a while and as of this past Friday it's signed sealed and delivered. This will mean a LOT more nationwide exposure for the promotion and the opportunity to become an even bigger force within the NWA. After the huge blowup a few months ago, Dusty was finally able to convince Fritz to bring Eddie Gilbert back into the company. It's being said that Gilbert will be helping with booking but not will not have a huge role at least initially. It's also been said that Gilbert is pushing to bring back the bar shows but not as a separate promotion as before with Wild West, just a monthly stop on the schedule. Dusty is also pushing hard to increase the schedule and expand outside of Texas. It remains to be seen how far Fritz will let him go with this....but so far he's been allowed to do far more than anyone expected him to. Dusty is convinced the WARGAMES will be a huge success and that with the amount of star power WCCW has right now they could actually expand to a national touring promotion. This remains to be seen but it's believed that the Great American Bash tour stop in Dallas will be a game changer for World Class and a chance for Dusty to show Fritz just how big they could be if he allowed it to happen.
