  1. I gotta believe that Drew Gulak has to be one of the favorites to win the J-Crown title. At least, he'd be mine! I was a bit surprised to see Nagata lose in the main event but that just makes things interesting in my book!
  2. Same here. Helps sharpen my creative skills as I sometimes need to be resourceful in those situations. That's the thrill of the challenge.

  4. In Dolph's case, it's more like he doesn't intend to re-sign. His contract expires January 31st.
  5. It was always a pleasure for me too to read your stuff. I may have moved on to another booking project on another board as well as a much reduced role in the 2019 Project coming up but I'll always have very fond memories of the 1983 Project, that I couldn't have discovered without that one Facebook thread that LowBlow posted about this. I was immediately hooked and I was thrilled I could bring to life Lutte Internationale. I was hoping to actually have it outlive the real one but it wasn't meant to be. In the meantime, I'm putting my own spin on the AWA elsewhere and I'm having a blast so far!

  7. To me, that could be the first "defection" from WWE to AEW that WWE could really regret down the road. If that happens, of course.
  8. I'm enjoying this every bit as much as I did with the 1983 Project. That's fantastic stuff right there with Buddy Rose!
  9. Random.org always gets the job done for stuff like that.
  10. Basically, I picked people from their real roster and the IWS roster in Montreal. Also gonna use a bit of people from Smash Wrestling in Toronto and some guest wrestlers from around the world (as will be explained in the case of Cerberus soon) :)
  11. But if the rumors are true and that AEW is open to work with Impact Wrestling, this wouldn't keep them from using the women on their roster. And how can you not build around Tessa Blanchard anyway?
  12. I think you're gonna do some great things with that roster!
  13. Holy crap, I might have to use this myself!
  14. I think I'm in the same situation about your promotion that you are with mine (although your names have more recognition than mine) but you got a solid tournament set up right off the bat!
  15. Official card for Kickoff 2019 coming soon with an exclusive explanation to the presence of the infamous Cerberus stable in NSPW!

  17. Glad I wasn't the only one who had a great laugh at Otis' random appearance. I legit haven't laughed his loud at something WWE in a while. Heavy Machinery will be massively over with the audience. I feel like they're gonna mostly be a comedy act but yet, I can see them have a run ala Too Cool where they could also be tag champs at one point, without being the focus of the division for a long time.
  18. While we're at it....given that the 1983 Project is dead, I'd suggest to take that board for the 2019 Project, instead of cluttering the Armchair Booking section in its whole. It might be more practical.
  19. I'll post my roster in about a week, max. I'll run a monthly schedule with the possibility of some extra shows as well. So, probably 2, maybe 3 events a month, tops.
  20. Even there, I'm not sure Becky will get booed. Not that Asuka will be booed but we might get more dual chants than anything. Either way, that match should be awesome.
  21. Monday, Week 3 January 2019 Suwama is the new AJPW Triple Crown Champion after defeating Zeus last night at New Year Wars 2019 to start his 7th reign as champion. La Mascara has been offered a contract extension; gone from AAA: Hernandez, Sammy Guevara, Estrella Divina, Australian Suicide, Maravilla, Killer Kross, La Parka Negra IV & Villano III Jr Mikey Whiplash has been offered a contract extension Gone from LU: Mala Suerte Villano V Jr is the new IWRG Intercontinental Welterweight Champion after defeating Emperador Azteca last night at Aniversario 2019. This is his first reign as champion. IWRG is enjoying a fast growth period; let's see if it will last! Jack Evans has signed his contract extension Nina Samuels has signed her contract extension
  22. JR and Excalibur would be quite the clash.
  23. I'm calling dibs on TDT and the Super Smash Bros, in case anyone has them on their list.
  24. Flip Gordon injured his knee during his match with Tracy Williams tonight at Honor Reigns Supreme. Referee had to stop the match because of it. Hopefully for him, it's not too serious.
  25. Apparently, looks like it's gonna be JR at commentary but I don't know who'll be on color with him.
