Well, if Bas comes across JBL and dangita dangita dangs his head and doesn't get into legal trouble, you can take solace in having a bigger e-peen than I do.
-
If you've heard him on JRE or I assume the Rutten and Ranallo podcast, his real voice is deeper and more monotone than when he's on as an announcer. He kind of has a hangover voice when not calling shows.

That's called assault and people tend to get arrested for such things, particularly people who are trained fighters and intentionally try to injure someone. As for those Mauro stories, lol. At least in his PRIDE days he was COMPLETELY out of control, getting fucked on valium and opium and mouthing off to Yakuza members and fighters.

I could have sworn Jake's and Eddie's were up for a while

Shibata sure is a fucking moron. After all that we know about headbutts in 2017, he's still doing the ultra stiff shoot headbutts and gave himself a subdural hematoma. This dude had to have brain surgery from hitting a headbutt too hard in a fake fighting match. It's not even like he's Bryan doing stuff that only fucks him up, he's hitting those brutal headbutts on other people, putting them at risk for no reason, too. I'd be furious if I was running NJ and he put Okada out of action with a concussion so he could get his headbutt shit over more.

Well, ya know, I don't even want to...well, never mind. Um. Ya know, it's sometimes kinda, uh, hard to, ya know, um follow what the fuck Dave is trying to say.
-
That and making multiple comments about his personality, seemingly alluding to him being a bit of a grating person to be around at times, which might make him a target for bullying behavior.
-
Oh word, Ric was being a drunk ass at a bar? Weird. Do you think HHH/Vince have ever suggested he do one of their sponsored rehabs?
-
I do think some are exaggerating due to Mauro having mental health issues, certainly. I just feel like the praise for Dave running this story is weird considering he could have done it at any time and openly said he didn't want to/wasn't going to, and managed to subtly throw Mauro under the bus a couple of times while talking about the whole thing yesterday. He also doesn't even seem to blame JBL much, certainly doesn't want him to be fired, instead blaming the culture of the company and Vince in particular.

I'm so tired of this story. Not because JBL doesn't deserve to be exposed and punished/fired, but because he's BEEN exposed for 20 years. It's been known since the Justin Hawk days that he was a piece of shit. Now people are suddenly acting like they give a shit and trying to find every story they possibly can when they've been out there forever and no one cared before. The praise for Dave is pretty weird, since he said he was going to sit on the story and didn't want to report on it for the same reasons that people in WWE don't do anything about it and the same reasons that Coach won't cover wrestling anymore just to avoid this story. This is despite Maruo being a personal friend of his. He changed his mind because of an incident that happened in 5th grade 40 some years ago. He could have put together this story and got it out there anytime in the past 20 years.

There's probably not that much footage left of Paige for the show. She's been gone for about 5 months, the show itself is about 8 months behind current time.

There's no way to "quietly" let him go though. He's one of the lead commentators on Smackdown. His absence would be noticeable. If that's all that happens, it's better than nothing and a step in the right direction. I'll take Mauro and his commentating idiosyncrasies over what JBL has turned into (and the sad part is, he used to be a decent commentator). Hundreds of dudes have just vanished off TV on WWE with no mention over the years. It's super easy. You just don't mention them the next week when they're not there. That's kind of how "quietly" works.
-
Mainstream picks up shit all the time. Wrestling doesn't matter. It's issues don't matter, much like the issues in porn don't matter. The most that could possibly happen here is JBL is quietly let go and WWE puts out a BA* statement on their corporate page.

There's no conspiracy. WWE pays ESPN for their coverage. Of course ESPN isn't going to go deep on what is essentially one of their sponsors.

Outside of being a bit shaky the first couple of months of his solo push, it's been clear that Roman has been a top 2-3 talent for the past 2 years. I would say if AJ hadn't come in, he'd be the clear top worker in the company. The range of talents he's worked with and had high quality matches from Big Show/Braun to AJ/Balor is really unmatched by anyone but AJ right now. Which is why the push back against him has been so silly. It's not like he was John Cena in 2005 shitty in the ring. Even when he had that match with Bryan, he was clearly a better performer at least on that night.

Mercury Rising drew like...under 200 people, though.

This same company just ran a glowing tribute to a guy who was on trial for murder right before he died and that blew over immediately. You might remember about a decade ago when one of their biggest stars was involved in a double homicide/suicide. That whole thing blew over pretty quickly. Or how about 18 years ago when a talent died live on the show and the show continued like nothing happened. That also blew over pretty quickly. JBL being a bully will not matter at all except to the people he's bullied.

BA* didn't end with Hugh Morrus, it didn't end with stuff various women have said after leaving, it's not going to end because of JBL being JBL.

She was already doing the crazy chick angle, I don't think it's a stretch to take that further. Also I'm pretty sure she didn't reveal to the office that she was bipolar, so they were just taking the storyline to the extreme. There's always plenty to blame WWE for, but I don't think "they were trying to spoof her real mental issues" is one of them. Although the best they could come up for her being "crazy chick who jumps from man to man" is not really that much better. I was more interested in how much of a creep she described her now husband as. A dude with rage issues who became "obsessed" with her because they kissed on screen and eventually wore her down after a year of turning him down. And then they got married. People seem to be talking about the top guy who aggressively courted her but was nice about the rejection and not that Punk refused to take no for an answer for a year until she gave in. That's the kind of shit that gets you fired at a real job. Especially if it's a job where you stand in your underwear next to the person you're refusing to take a no from.

You can watch terrible movies and laugh and enjoy them. You can watch WCW 2000 shows and lolz at how much fuckery there is. People love The Room and it's not because it's a good movie.
-
It's like you're not even reading. I said I enjoyed it and it was very entertaining. That doesn't mean it was good.
-
I'm not sure if you can be on any terms with Dynamite anymore considering the condition he's in.
-
Oh certainly there is. I don't think JJ's Spring Break is one of those shows, though.

Do you not understand the concept of so bad its good or something?

I think AJ has basically been presented as the number 2 star in the company since like...the night after WM last year. As far as full time guys go, at least. He's been the face of SD the entire brand split, completely carrying the show even when not in the title picture, and despite the card placement, the AJ/Shane match had way more heat and interest than Orton/Bray based on basically every metric you can find online.
