Is it? Like, the only point where he was undoubtly The Guy was after Wrestlemania 32, until the adderall punishment took place. Everything before and after that really doesn't point to that direction, due to how fucked up his booking is.
-
Considering there are rumors of Lashley and Brock main eventing Summerslam for the Universal Title, it might be a possibility. Joe is going to be featured in the GRR against Miz, Rollins and Balor, but he has started to feud with Roman against, and both will have a match at Backlash. That could also be the title change they talked about.
-
I think it's more that the people that hate him won't be there.
-
Ember's good in the ring, but comparing her to Naomi at this point, specially when it comes to getting her character across is a bad take. We don't know if she's supposed to be a vampire, a werewolf, or both. She might be WWE's version of otherkin for all we know, but she never gets that across, both in the ring and in promos.
-
Considering one of the last shots we got of Roman was him with his head down, looking angry and dissapointed, I am inclined to think that despite this dreadful booking, the end goal is the turn. Paranoid, angry Roman wouldn't be so bad, but it's a shame we got such career-killing booking.

"Fight forever" chants directed at KO/SZ. They are officially bad. OK they are good again. TNA chants were pretty well done.
-
Completely forgot that Backlash was going to be a dual brand PPV. So far they've announced Miz/Rollins, Joe/Reigns and The Bar/XX, right?
-
Fuck Wyatt. Takes himself way too seriously to be doing this Broken Hardy shit despite being the worst worker of the duo.
-
They must be doing this shit on purpose. Roman's actually been booked as a fraud. How does this benefit anyone? And Joe's been cutting babyface promos on him. Shit's so absurd, this MUST be leading up to something. This can't stay the same after what they did yesterday.

oh good can't wait for jeriKO 2.0 tanking raw again
-
OH MY FUCKING GOD THAT IS BOBBY FUCKING LASHLEY
-
Gotta feel bad for Paige. She could've been amazing and she's in her mid twenties, forced to retire. Fuck.
-
Meanwhile, I might be the one NWJ supporter here. If anything, the chanting will get over, I guess?

OH MY GOD

Ronda/Steph being the successor to Austin/Vince is something I wouldn't have imagined.
-
Steph's just the best

I don't think he's the chosen one even in kayfabe. Triple H saw the future in Rollins, not Reigns. The McMahons did everything they could to fuck him over in late '15 and early '16. Steph flat out said he was a failure during the draft. Contrast that with Cena, who was clearly the one representing WWE, and by extension VKM during that match against CM Punk. Nothing adds up. For fuck's sake they really fucked him up with the booking.
-
Fuck off with that shit. That backfired spectacularly.
-
He's a catchphrase and garbage wrestling. That's pretty much it. Edge was more charismatic, but if people are enjoying Cole more power to them, as long as they don't keep shitting relentlessly on other wrestlers.
-
If anything, them having a rematch makes the decision worse. Reigns beating Brock at WM and then Lesnar invoking the rematch clause makes absolute sense because he just lost the title. Reigns losing to Lesnar in decisive fashion and getting another opportunity makes zero fucking sense. Fuck that. He took a massive shot at his credibility at WM.
-
Let's see how they address that elephant in the room.
-
I get what you are saying, my dude. I can't pretend that being on the main event for 4 years in a row isn't a noteworthy thing - it absolutely is. But when you look closely to RR's push, and how things don't add up at all, being featured in 4 main events in a row might've been done to fuck him over. It's a weird story, because if he just won at WM31 he might not even be main eventing the following years, but would be more "legit" as a true main eventer, instead of looking like the complete fool he absolutely is as of the end of WM34. He never really got vengeance for what Seth did in 2014, and consequently, in 2015. Looked like a fool for Triple H. Him "retiring" Undertaker means absolutely nothing when in the following year he's wrestling again. He spends over a month saying how a part-timer has no respect for the biz, and he loses clean. As much as he is given the main event slot, that does not mean he is their #1 guy, as weird as that sounds. His family being furious is partly justified because they refuse to book him properly, and it basically killed any momentum he had.
-
Only if you include Nita Strauss' act.
-
Yeah I mean who the fuck cares if your child is given shitty hands and the results are changed in the last minute, right? Surely any family would be dead silent about this!
-
I completely agree with this. But then, why throw Roman to the lions year after year? Why book one of your biggest names - a homegrown talent, at that - to be fucking weak at every major point? He is one of the more versatile wrestlers in the company, but that means absolutely nothing when you kill his credibility.
