  1. Whenever I see Kawada now I think about That Brazilian Guy whining about Roman Reigns. Pffff.... Now everytime I see El-P, I immediatly think "oh, it's That French Guy..." But in all seriousness, it is nice to have some sort of acknowledgement. The community here is actually one of the best I've been to online, it's great.

    NXT talk

It seems Lio Rush is going to be partnering with Babatunde, judging by recent pictures of NXT house shows.
  3. I guess the crowd, like most of us, was expecting a squash, and the betrayal of their expectations led them to a more subdued reaction. However: Nia/Alexa was fucking great. They had a short airtime compared to other matches, but they told an actually moving story in the ring, all things considered. I'd legit rank it on the same level as Ciampa/Gargano in terms of stortytelling through body language, even if the latter did have better action. Unsure about what Alexa getting squashed at the following RAW means for her, but as far as the feud goes, that was dope.
  4. Basically Ranallo is that "How do you do, fellow kids?" meme but pandering enough to BC shirt wearing smarks that he still gets a good rep.
  5. At this point Naito seems significantly cooled down to the point where I don't think the match would help even if it took place.
  6. In hindsight, yeah, but at the same time they were NOT calling the match, so we gotta factor that shit in. I still like Striker better because like you said, shit's hilarious, but you gotta wonder about paying for a service and actually not getting it.
  7. I think the difference between Ranallo and Striker is that the latter can be fucking hilarious in his awfulness. At 2016's Triplemania he was just... out of this world. I usually go back to watch those videos because they are so ridiculous: There are more, it's just incredible.
  8. That Knee+ into Styles Clash into Yes Lock sequence gave me life. Everything between those two seems so fucking natural, it's magic. They manage to build tension without resorting to disgusting bumps or anything risky, which is not only a breath of fresh air, but also safe. I hope they can revisit this sometime. What we got was just so damn good.
  9. Are we forgetting that Asuka had a hard time fighting the bumbling duo of Emma and Dana back in NXT? Struggling to beat Nia is not something that I would say was detrimental to her aura, when more than once she won by the skin of her teeth. Either we are overblowing her portrayal in NXT, or overstating her treatment in the main roster. To me, their only real fuck up was having her almost thank Charlotte for beating her. Considering how they didn't address that at all on her end yesterday... kinda bad.
  10. I would have thought that until I saw his 857 matches with Kevin Owens. AJ might be the best in the world, but he has to have something to work with. I... don't get what you are saying here, my dude. Like, AJ had an actually good match with Jinder, and considering how Bryan's style is vastly different from the stuff we are used to, he might gel well with Jinder, who is indeed a slower-paced worker.
  11. And to be honest, they had two HUGE opportunities to make him a huge star, and not dwelve into this torment that was his booking post-WM31. As follows: Royal Rumble 2014: crowd is ALL IN for Roman winning. He has a star-making performance at the Rumble, but in the end, the win goes to Batista, as he's booed out of the building. Batista's run was actually really fucking good, as he put over every new talent possible, but they could've done Roman a part of the main event of WM30, as he was red hot at that point. He could've even taken the fall in that match, but he would still be elevated. Wrestlemania 31: this one is more obvious. Roman beating Brock at that point would've been a huge fucking deal, as they actually managed to get the crowd in favor of Roman despite the Rumble '15 fiasco. You could still have Rollins cash-in later that year. Bottom line: he could've been way bigger of a star FOUR YEARS AGO, and they wouldn't even have the need to give him a huge title reign. Much of the problems he's faced would at least be eased if they pulled the trigger at one of those two moments. I'm actually really sad about all of this, since he is one of my all time faves.
  12. Apparently they are not The Worst Wrestling Promotion: Just sad.
  13. Monty Brown would be incredible. Shame he never got a meaningful push. As for Lashley being a top guy, I actually would like that. He is in unbelievable shape, is leaps and bounds better than what he was early on (and he was actually good when he left), and has that sweatband which albeit goofy, gives him a distinct look, which he also needed. If they could make a Lashley/Braun program while giving Roman time to get his shit back together, it would be a good top tier, considering they also have Joe with some great promos and Ronda as female Austin.
  14. That makes me like it even more then, bubba.
  15. She's not having as much airtime as she used to, BUT her role as the host for Talking Smack was amazing. You should give it a watch sometime, basically all the deserved praise she gets has to do with her role there. Also, particularly, I thought she was also a good commentator. A lock for HOF to be honest.
  16. I like how this thread turned into people just taking shots at each other.
  17. Increased downtime and 1/3rd of the workload? Certainly sounds like Nakamura's dream (fantasy?) match, for sure. Maybe he can finally give a fuck after two years!
  18. Can you imagine if they did AJ/Nak/DBry?
  19. How I missed watching Daniel Bryan. My lord.
  20. A good, but really innocuous match, which automatically means a letdown when you look at the names involved. It felt like a G1 day 7 match in front of 500 people, but actually was at Wrestlemania 34 in front of 75k people. The heel turn justifies its existence, but doesn't justify the blandness that took place.
  21. The streak was a mercy killing. No one cared about it - or Asuka - compared to the Goldberg streak, or even the Tatanka and Ludvig Borga streaks. It was epitome of forced "history making" on WWE's part. I don't think this hurts Charlotte at all. She had a tough match two days ago with very little time to recover, got attacked tonight by debuting wrestlers she wasn't expecting, and Carmella took advantage of the situation. As far as bullshit MiTB cash-ins go, this is one of the least offensive. It's just a prank bro, but I mostly agree with the second paragraph. It made sense, but it's funny how the structure is similar. But I think that you could have a similar outcome doing the same angle, but with Asuka as champion. In fact, Carmella being the one to finish it would be a way better decision than her losing to Flair and even worse, brown nosing her after the match.
  22. Booker was fucking great and anyone who complained about him is crazy. Same with JBL. Also, gotta love that WCW throwback, killing a huge streak only for a bullshit title change shortly after.
  23. Charlotte is not going to last in SD, right?
  24. My only complaing about New Day is that Big E is using a singlet.
  25. Y'know, I'm willing to bet DBry can have a banger of a match with Jinder Mahal.
