Heyman on twitter saying that he is walking out of the match with the Universal Champion. I am sensing some post-match shenanigans.
-
Im willing to bet plenty of these geeks dont even have a ticket And even if they have: they already paid for it, making this sort of manifestation rather useless.
-
Apparently there's a twitter account about a people walking out if Roman/Lesnar is the main event, as if some of those smarks couldn't embarass themselves even more.

I must say: Gargano is the best wrestler in the world as of April 2018. There's not much I can say about this. Ciampa stealing crutches from fans, exposing the concrete, trying to use tape to choke Gargano and more, are just evil heelish things that are lacking. Gargano giving him one last shot at redemption just for Ciampa to try to kill him is the stuff movies are made of. The classic ones.

Fuck. Gargano/Almas III was the best match in NXT history, and this just topped it. Johnny Gargano, everyone. The best in the world right now.
-
Gargano might just have the #1 and #2 matches of the year. This fucking dude.

Reigns post-WM33. How about intentional heel heat then? There is no way that segment wasn't made specifically to garner heat, my dude.

Reigns post-WM33.

Assuming Almas is called up, Black vs Galloway has to be the end game right?
-
Almas' double knees against the ringpost might be the single most vicious looking spot around currently. Always looks like attempted murder.
-
He's at a point where I really cannot see how someone can consider him to be a good commentator. Also, imagine watching Almas be probably the best champion NXT ever had and remembering his terrible debut.
-
Shut the fuck up, Mauro. Holy shit he is awful.
-
That would just add another talking point into Dylan's "Adam Cole is Edge" talking point.
-
As long as I see two hosses beating the shit out of them, it's cool. Still, giving Cole the NA Title, the Tag Titles AND the Dusty on a single event seems like... too much. Like, a legit problem.
-
Fuck. Adam Cole with TWO belts.

Matt Riddle is an absolute madman. Wrestling SEVEN TIMES in less than 48h is some batshit insanity, even more when you factor in the many different roles he's played throuhout those matches.
-
What a fun sprint this was. Riddle playing a bully, but not exactly in an evil way, is some fun stuff. Him resorting to hair pulling in order to get out of a toe hold is some fun stuff. Also them constantly trying to one up each other with the wrist slapping was also fun. Short, sweet, Deonna kicked Riddle's ass until he decided to go for the overkill, and most importantly: it was very fun.

I think this event was cursed even without McGregor's bullshit. Going from Nurmagomedov/Ferguson to Nurmagomedov/Holloway to Nurmagomedov/Iaquinta within 5 DAYS is just batshit. When you factor in what Connor did, the picture not only becomes even more scrambled, but also set on fire, and later put out with feces and urine. He's gonna get monetarily fucked to no end. As for the "lol 'tis a work": the initial intention might've been just that - with Khabib confronting Lobov earlier on and Connor seeking retaliation, you could spin that shit into the best selling PPV of the year. BUT, since things got heated to the point of actual felonies, that possiblity is thrown out the window and into a bottomless pit.

I fucking love the premise of Bloodsport. It seems to me like a logical progression of what shoot-style federations like RINGS would look like today. Also, the match was really fun. The sense of struggle to get the better positioning, and no man actually getting a hold locked in properly only adds to the "it can end at any second" drama. Also, gotta love how they work around not having ropes into the game of chess that is the fight for domination. Some really, really fun stuff with a cool setup. Low Ki would be fucked

Shit's good. Not only they establish that Murphy is the stronger dude, but he can also go toe to toe with Kalisto in terms of speed. This match features some actual batshit insane spots - that running release apron suplex was ridiculous. From that point on, the match kicks into 3rd gear and the crowd is loving every second of it. As a fast paced affair this kicked ass.

And to be honest, he deserves it. Dude can be a HUGE asset to NXT, and he does have an amazing aura to him.

While I agree with you on them wanting a Latin star, specially looking back to the mid 00s and early 10s, I am starting to sense that there's some shift going on right now in terms of presentations, specially when it comes to asian wrestlers (see Jinder, Nakamura, Asuka) and african-american wrestlers. And it seems that also while they want a next Rey or next Eddie (frankly, who wouldn't?), they are also trying more to make Latin wrestlers more prominent figures. Compare the treatment the Lucha House Party has when compared to what the Mexicools, who got into the ring riding lawnmowers, got. Vega and Almas are also tearing the house down on NXT, they are absolutely one of the top acts, and possibly THE top act. I know they still are far from the ideal perspective of a diverse company, but when compared to basically every other mainstream company, their approach - to me, at least - seems more inclusive from an in-ring standpoint. I believe that their approach is only going to further enhance that, but I don't believe it's from the heart, TBH.

That would be Reigns in 2015. By now he's more than integrated both the cheers and boos into everything. He's thriving on it, he wants the fans to react as loud as possible, and he lets those reactions sink in from the moment he enters the scene up to the moment he raises his arms at the crowd. Plus he puts way more effort into anything Orton does. As for WWE not wanting to book babyface ace champs, I'm not sure. Almost the entirety of AJ's run as champ has been about him being the ace, even when he was a heel and kicked Ambrose in the dick. Balor's kidnapping tenure as NXT champion also had a similar dynamic. They absolutely can position Reigns as the face ace, albeit not one akin to Marine Cena, as in a super positive, ultra clean cut guy. Portraying him as a badass is the way to go, and they are doing so right now. Frankly, there is no reason why he couldn't be that sort of champion with a lenghty reign. He was absolutely tearing the house down on a weekly basis as IC champion, taking just about everyone as a contender. Giving more meat to that role could be very beneficial.
