My question for those who doubt Seth is: who else besides Braun? Because I really don't think Braun is the kind of guy who should be in long title programs because that calls on him to look vulnerable at some point. Roman is dead. Lashley hasn't lit the world on fire since his return. The only other person I can think of is Finn, who probably isn't very popular among people who already are against Rollins. And people aren't calling for him to win the belt just because he wrestles good matches. It's because he's easily one of the most popular acts in the company right now.

I remember one I absolutely hated when I was younger was Matt Hardy turning on Jeff in 2009. Being a huge fan of Jeff, seeing him chase the title for a year, finally get his big win, and then drop it almost immediately to do this feud with Matt while we got another Orton-Triple H match at Mania was infuriating.

I agree they should be building up someone else in the wings even if Bryan did become the ace.

I still don't buy that Bryan's any worse off than someone like Orton or Jeff. They're probably in worse shape than he is.
-
Agreed. Although I definitely think there's more they can do with Bryan.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Boss Rock replied to TravJ1979's topic in Pro Wrestling
Rowan was never a good singles worker but he's definitely a better tag guy than Cass. -
Probably just waiting until after Backlash. I hope.
-
Yeah, beating Shawn was what really cemented him.
-
Right when Braun was red-hot too.

If you view it as a comedy, it's hilarious. Anything else, and it's incredibly draining.

In regards to Dominion, official matches so far are: Okada-Omega, Naito-Jericho, Bucks-LIJ, Elgin-Taichi-Goto, and a Mysterio match.

Best of the Super Juniors lineup announced: A Block ACH BUSHI Flip Gordon Taiji Ishimori Tiger Mask IV Will Ospreay YOH Yoshinobu Kanemaru B Block Chris Sabin Dragon Lee El Desperado Hiromu Takahashi KUSHIDA Marty Scurll Ryusuke Taguchi SHO Should hopefully be a better tournament then last year, especially with Taichi's move up. Taiji-Hiromu is probably the final with Taiji winning.

I thought Nak-Styles was their best match yet and was on its way to being something really great until the terrible finish. Miz-Rollins was great. Everything else was skippable or downright terrible.

I think most of those losses were due to Triple H imitation promos and the fact that he was a complete and utter chickenshit. I'm not going to call him an excellent mic worker, but he's been loads better on the mic as a babyface and his in-ring work has also improved tremendously. And the crowd totally buys into him now when they didn't during his last run on top. And with Braun, I think the answer is to basically make him this generation's Undertaker i.e. give him a few short title reigns where he loses via chicanery sandwiched between feuds where he dominates midcarders.

[2018-05-06-WWE-Backlash] Seth Rollins vs The Miz
Boss Rock replied to ShittyLittleBoots's topic in May 2018
Great match. Seth has really come into his own as a babyface and the MIz was the same opportunistic heel he's always been. Seth has gotten a lot better with knowing how to escalate his offense and not do stuff just for the sake of it. Miz also knew when to pick his spots and re-take control of the match. The knee work at the end really added an interesting wrinkle to an already great match and there were quite a few times Miz believably looked like he would pull it off. I just really don't like that superplex/falcon arrow spot, even if it gave us an awesome nearfall from Miz. Excellent match and showing from both guys. ****1/2 -
[2018-05-06-WWE-Backlash] Big Cass vs Daniel Bryan
Boss Rock replied to ShittyLittleBoots's topic in May 2018
Really dull yet thankfully short match. I get they were trying to play up Cass' ego and inexperience by having him repeatedly taunt Bryan, but he just had no idea how to make his heat segments interesting. Bryan tried his hardest (even pulling Cass' arm is to try and set up an attempted block at the Yes! Lock) but just couldn't save this match. Like I said, it's a good thing it was short. -
I'd go with Braun too, but I can understand the hesitancy considering his dominance. How do you make him vulnerable without compromising his monster aura? I could also see Seth considering how much of a roll he's been on. And while I'm not sure they'll try to pull the trigger on him again, Bryan is right there as well. This is all in regards to the top male star, as it seems pretty clear Ronda will be the top overall star.

It's not even the worst big WWE PPV of the last 2 weeks, let's be real here. Moral issue surrounding GRR aside, everything there was pretty inoffensive if not exactly very good. This was an actively bad show with terrible booking.
-
Pretty easily the worst show of the year thus far.
-
So when did this show kill the crowd? Carmella-Charlotte?
-
Potential face turn for Owens could be interesting.
-
I still really liked this match until the end.
