  1. Well, they've certainly had enough chances to have their "definitive performance". And in this age of highly planned-out and rehearsed matches, if you say you haven't had your best match then what the fuck.
  2. I can't go above "Barely Tolerable" for the main event.
  3. And/or a couple of beers, alcohol also being a blood-thinner.
  4. Saw a lady in her early 20s on the train last year wearing a Dusty Rhodes WWF t-shirt. In Australia. I nearly hugged her.
  5. Headline from WhatCulture: "The Rock's Daughter, Ava Raine, Cuts First WWE Promo. Ava Raine debuted for WWE at a Florida live event this weekend." Rock putting another pawn in place...
  6. Historians will one day abbreviate the Decline of the McMahon Empire to a picture of his cock next to a chequebook? Well, it's not like he was ever going to leave with anything approaching dignity, anyway. I do hope he's remembered primarily as the sleazy carny lecher he always was.

I don't agree that "was in a better match" equals "was a greater wrestler". But if Kimura was greater in that match than Tajiri ever was, then I don't see an issue. But I'm not the one nominating people who mostly stink for a Greatest Wrestler Ever poll, so what do I know? I say the Wright Brothers are greater pilots than John Travolta or Bruce Dickinson, even though they've got like 12 seconds of flight time, compared to the thousands of hours modern pilots have. I think there's a thread somewhere for this sort of thing. I don't mean to derail the Ambrose chatter, an excellent contemporary wrestler who won't sniff my top 100.

Because you're a fan of his? Either way, if, on his best day, he was better than everyone else on their best days, I'll consider him. Although he wasn't on my mind until you pimped him.

I dunno. I'm here to rank people on their best day, not their worst. Lionel Messi missed penalties, Michael Jordan missed free-throws, Tom Brady got sacked, big deal.
  10. I can't take my eyes off the Rorschach Test beneath the text. Respectfully.
  11. People lose to Toru Yano all the time without losing credibility. The fans take it for what it is.
  12. Block A caters to the BMMSM Kru (Archer, Cobb, Fale, Jonah) and makes sure Okada is kayfabe badly beaten up for the finals. Jay Block caters to the Jay White fans as he thrashes the lower NJPW life forms, making sure he is kayfabe fresh for the finals. C Block is, of course, the Group of Death. For the fantasy bookers out there. D Block is like when you rummage whatever's left in the fridge and pantry because Will and Shingo popped in unexpectedly for dinner.
  13. He would've taken a story or two with him to the grave - Dave, too. RIP.
  14. It's only eight minutes to the hospital from the Auditorium; eleven from the Fairgrounds. Every second counts... (source: GoogleMaps)
  15. By stressing "Together" he's trying to corral the Universe into a Them vs Us mentality. They're not just coming after me, they're coming after you and what you love. Is one way of looking at it.
  16. He can just stand absolutely still in Madame Tussauds. They'll never find him.
  17. I hope all the PWO brothers and sisters find someone who loves them like @C.S. loves Christian. It's beautiful.
  18. True, Nese was never wrestling's best least-shit sixth wheel. Nese also has a wrestler's physique. Nese is not eligible for the age-pension. We could do this all day!
  19. If it all goes to shit, I can see Vince pulling mobster Vincent Gigante's trick and feigning insanity every time he's in public. Or a Lloyd Christmas and pretend to be in a coma for the next 20 years, catheter and all. Can't see Steph, Trips and Shane trying a Weekend at Bernie's with him when he passes, though.
  20. Vince is also going to court with Oliver Luck (former XFL commish) over $23.8m in compensation, after "settlement talks broke down after just nine minutes." Oh to be a fly on the wall at that Fuck-You sprint. Vince is countersuing for half-a-million for damages over Luck breaching his duties. Allegedly. Trial starts July 11.
  21. I'm all for vets teaching tomorrow's stars. It's why I think Nese is a good programme for Hook, in addition to Christian teaching JB how to slow down.
  22. A piledriver being the finishing move? Me so happy.
  23. Yeah, the sky is not falling. White male billionaires are a protected species.
  24. They can't keep hiding Wardlow's many weaknesses forever, can they?
  25. Yep...and a couple of years and a couple of injuries have improved Ospreay no end.
