I suppose the main problem for TKO in terms of creative is there simply aren't many people you could try and give the book to I barely skimmed through Mania - it really was shit - but the system they've created for themselves needs someone deeply indoctrinated into the WWE mindset to put up with all this stupid money grabbing shit that they're doing And it's not like the 90s (or even 00s) where you had historic legacy figures who could come in with some ideas or a viewpoint like Dusty did with NXT to begin with It will just be the normal sycophants in line to replace, not that you can really see them pulling the trigger anytime soon.

Of all the modern quasi indies I have probably enjoyed Bloodsport the most and at least it had a fresh concept, though there has definitely been a lot more shit matches than good in terms of the last few cards. In a lot of ways it is a shame you aren't in the DVD era anymore as you could easily get a 2 hour "Best of Bloodsport" comp together that would make it seem incredible. I think if it is changing moving forward, a shift towards a Karate Combat style pit as opposed to the current setup could be an idea, but we have looked at it a bit on our local level and the cost is a bit prohibitive maybe

I don't really watch much WWE at all these days, just the odd main event etc, but if it's going more towards a TKO era UFC model these days it is not a positive step The obsession with the shitty little Apex cards and move away from live crowds has mean they can't really build a star anymore, the lowball contracts and pandering towards ageing Jones to the detriment of Aspinall etc, the product has been getting worse and worse for a long time now I saw that they're increasing the Apex capacity to 10k which I would assume means they're aiming for more of the generic studio model? Maybe that's the natural progression to all of this but the dry TKO fight night era UFC is 80% shit these days
