Especially given that five years later...has main eventing WM ever meant any less? Maybe the boys and girls in the back still value it, but we’ve all seen how things have gone since probably 32 (2016), where crowds are well beyond burned out six+ hours into a sports entertainment slog.

Can’t believe I’m going to spend fifty smackers on a wrestling ppv, but here we are. Saturday nights are rough for this, so I’ll just have to stay off many corners of the internet for a day or two (including google search suggestions). Do they have a schedule for ppvs? Please not monthly?

Piling on at this point, but I had this on mute while my wife was watching something else and, man...the body language alone, with HHH lecturing at and bloviating on and on towards Rollins. The closed captioning caught my attention when Seth even said ‘that’s a fair point’. To his counterpart in a professional wrestling promo. Not a great look for one of your main sports entertainers!

An ongoing issue to me, and one present in the opener tonight, is wayyy too many kickouts after super high impact moves. Really hope they reign that in, but I guess that’s just part of modern wrestling. Separately...how will the PPVs work? Are they on Saturday nights? Are they $50-60 on cable tv? Presumably there is a streaming option, but same price?

Seems like such a reasonable criticism that I was actually surprised to see this passioned defense.

It blows my mind like once a month that Austin’s KOTR victory and promo occurred before Bash at the Beach 96.

It’s really context-dependent. Hobbs and Shaw is on over 4,300 screens, showing many times a day on each one. Some crowds have an energy, others don’t. Tough to draw any conclusions about one audience’s reaction to a guy with no lines.

Some truly terrible directing during the Kingston/Styles finishing stretch.

Checking next week, a 5-8 Tuesday replay is not scheduled, so guessing this is a one off given the higher profile of the episode.

Came here to say the same. A man’s got to make some money and I suppose it can be off someone who is only dropping in to listen to one interview, but the amount of ads is bonkers and blows away any other podcast to which I listen.
