  1. They really started off great and lost track somewhere along the way. The bad knee vs bad back dynamic was interesting but didn't really mean much by the end. The story leading up to the match was Omega's style of wrestling vs Tanahashi's style of wrestling, and the whole table thing showed that, and ended up backfiring on Tanahashi was great. The end became too much excess and lost the plot entirely. Could've really been GREAT, but ends up being just good. ***1/2
  2. I remember I wasn't a fan when it originally happened, but it's actually pretty good. Still not a fan of the dancing around flippy stuff, but once they got going it was REAL good. Loved the violence and they didn't go into overkill. Definitely recommend. ***3/4
  3. Honestly, I was expecting a lot worse considering that it's 2024 Naito. It is such a shame that he is now, he should probably work tags for the rest of his career. AJ Styles is the guy who got me into New Japan, but Naito made me stay. I was the biggest Naito fan 6-7 years ago. I understand that he isn't at the level anymore, but this match isn't bad at all. It starts off with some usual mat-work which was interesting enough, then it slows down towards the middle, I am not sure what they were going for here. The match picks up towards the end when the do the usual bomb spots at the end, which isn't as overindulgent as it normally is. I assume that Naito isn't going to win the belt ever again or be anywhere near the title picture, perhaps a one-off challenge spot that Tanahashi is/was. I think Naito gave a good enough performance for Zack's new championship win. It's not as good as it would've been seven years ago, but it's still a satisfying match. I'm okay with this. ***1/4
  4. The best part of the match was everything they did in the beginning. Love all the early stalling. Not every match needs to be 100 miles an hour . Wrestling should be what these guys did up to the part where Shawn Michaels mocks JJ with the famous strut! The ending was great too. The middle part just felt there. I think with a stronger layout this would be something special. ***1/2
  5. It's an amazing match but there is a couple of things that feel out of place. The ending wasn't terrible but I do agree if you were following the story it doesn't fit in. I guess Cesaro was in the process of turning babyface but it didn't come off like that. I enjoyed the struggle. These guys made it seem like the were working for every bit in the match. Not the best crowd but a great match despite this. ***3/4
  6. I liked the first half of the match, but I don't know, by the end, it kind of felt like they lost the plot and started head-dropping with all those bumps. I can't see this being a match of the year or anything like that. When the shine starts that match changes for me. I love that Doc and Akiyama started. Great intense wrestling. There you go, that's what hooks me into the match, too bad that didn't continue throughout . I hate that Misawa takes a nasty-looking German suplex and he's back up to elbow Doc once Akiyama starts his comeback. I wouldn't say I was disappointed because I wasn't coming into this expecting a classic. It's a good match that has one too many flaws to be a great match. ***1/2
  7. I hated this match. You described it perfectly. Bryan/Ospreay isn't the classic people are saying it is but it's way better than this one.
  8. Try Danielson vs. MJF (it's a 60-minute Iron Man) or Danielson vs. Rush. I enjoyed the hell out of both. Omega vs Ospreay at the Tokyo Dome is worth a watch too.
  9. Three Legends and a young Eddie Guerrero at this point. Really fun match. Just smooth compared to what we watch today. The way they get from submission to the next is effortless. This had to be a house show right? Commentary mentioned how Casas lost a hair vs hair match to Eddie just days earlier. I love the sweeps and trips, it felt like watching a grappling exhibition. The third fall was the best out of the three. I'd give it a ****
  10. Danielson has never won BOLA.
  11. SOO... what do people think now? I have no clue. I'm not in love with everything he does, but he does have tons of great matches, at least in my opinion. He was above average as a junior heavyweight even if all of his performances weren't exactly good. It kind of depended on who he was in the ring with. But I really like him now that he's a heavyweight. He's cut down on the flippy bs and he's looked so much better. Five years ago I would've said no, he's not enough, but now I think he might be able to sneak onto my list, even if it's 100-90. I don't know. I feel like if I were to watch some of his early junior heavyweight matches I would be turned off. I like current Ospreay, he's one of the better wrestlers right now IMO. Maybe the best in the world.
  12. I didn't really enjoy this as much. It starts off slow and picks up after the second stunner. Even after that, it felt like too much, wasn't a fan of the overbooking. It didn't do much for me.

Loved the Will Ospreay match. Plus both of the Briscoes matches.
  14. vs Sabre Jr WWW 2018 vs Trent Seven 11/26/2020 NXT UK
  15. A-Kid He is my pick for best in the world. He's very good at selling, submissions, strikes, and all the subtleness in a match where someone can appreciate. My 2021 MOTY is the Devlin/A-Kid Iron Man Match which was phenomenal. He's had matches with WALTER, Tyler Bate, Devlin, Dragunov which were all incredible.
  16. Hell Yeah! Brock is also one of my all-time favs. Looking forward to the rest of this.
  17. I know that no one watches NXT UK weekly but as of right now A-Kid is my WOTY and my pick for best in the world. He's very good at selling, submissions, strikes, and all the subtleness in a match where someone can appreciate. My MOTY is the Devlin/A-Kid Iron Man Match which was phenomenal. He's had matches with WALTER, Tyler Bate, Devlin, Dragunov which were all incredible.
  18. Hello everyone, I figured I would post here first since, well since I am new here. I started watching wrestling around late 2009 ~ early 2010. I can say for a fact that I am significantly younger than everyone else here (lol). I discovered PWO a couple of years ago over the summer and I've been going through all the forums and all the matches and discovering so many new things. Discovering a whole site dedicated to wrestling from any promotion from any time period absolute rules, so for that, I am grateful. I ended up making a spreadsheet gathering all the matches that seemed interesting and some matches that even though I never heard of, but were highly praised in the forums. Prior to this, I would always watch wrestling from all over the world, but I would never even touch matches from the 80s or 90s. When going through the forums, I would see matches that I had no idea that was considered at an all-time level. Going through matches, researching, and discovering more and more made me go insane! Over the past few years, my tastes changed dramatically, and a large part is these forums. Something that I would like to get done is making a GME list of my own. I'm really excited to be a part of PWO now. Outside of wrestling, I like to ride my bike and watch some TV. I don't follow sports aside from MMA (even that I don't really follow). If I had to pick a GME right now, with my limited viewing (I haven't seen A LOT), I would pick any of the following: Cena/Lesnar (Extreme Rules), 06/09/95, Flair/Funk (GAB 1989), or Okada/Naito. I am wildly excited to watch a ton of wrestling over the next year. As far as favs go: Cena, Lesnar, Kobashi, Tanahashi and Naito. Thanks for your time!
