Mitchell/Devine vs Simmes/Pardue is gonna tear the house down! Perhaps literally. But the real story of this episode was the furthering of Medusa's feud with her former minions. But Medusa's temper gets the best of her & catches her 2 asswhoopings in the same show,the second one involving The Giant Slayers. As a aside, I wonder which Monster McIntyre was talking about.

The Bomb Squad show their vicious streak against Smiley. Megaman upsets The Hitman! Masked Avenger may have over-reached pissing off the entire Army. Hall puts the Brigade 2-0 over The Hart Foundation. They've definitely got a title match coming. Hansen gets a bit of payback in a tag match. Pillman & Guerrero have a rematch in their future. British Steel are excellent challengers for the MXE. Rose needs Finlay's help to escape with his title tonight. St Clair won't take this lying down.

Arn Anderson w/JJ Dillon defeats El Santo Negro with a Gordbuster after Dillon shoved Santo off the top rope. Texas Rex defeats "The Mighty" Hercules Hernandez with a clothesline from the top rope. Ole Anderson w/JJ Dillon defeats "Crippler" Ray Stevens with a schoolboy after Dillon hit Stevens with his shoe as Stevens was leaning through the ropes. Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers (Jacques & Raymond) w/Armand Rougeau defeat The Paisans (The Italian Stallion & Tony Parisi) with "Bombs Away" on Parisi. Victory goes down in defeat (heh) but gets quick payback on Brickhouse. Should be a fun feud. The Bomb Squad could be big. Mid-South Tag Team Championship The Midnight Express w/"Pretty Boy" Floyd Creatchman defeat "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch & "Timekeeper" Mike George with a double flapjack to George while Murdoch was busy chasing Creatchman on the outside. Grappler held up MW2 while Super D loaded his mask but when he went for a headbutt MW2 moved & Super D nailed Grappler! MW2 clotheslines a stunned Super D over the top rope as the referee recovers in time to count the 1..2..3! Before the main event it was announced on the house mic that Mid-South would return to the Superdome on October 17th. NWA World Heavyweight Championship Ric Flair vs Junkyard Dog The fans go wild as "Another one bites the dust" comes over the pa system. Flair makes a impressive entrance to "Also Sprach Zarathustra" wearing a absolutely stunning sequence robe. The introductions are made & they shake hands before the bell. The match goes as you'd expect with JYD's power based brawling contrasts brilliantly with Flair's scientific grappling. Eventually technique wins out as Flair locks in the figure four after working on JYD's leg for about 30 minutes. Give the Dog credit he held out till the last possible second. The pain finally overwhelmed him & he was unable to lift his shoulders off the matt before the ref counted to 3. Flair helped JYD to his feet after the match & the 2 shook hands again to close the show.

The Dream is coming for gold in Montgomery. A lot of people are looking over their shoulder now that Humperdink has a new target for Khan. Budro may have Stubbs on his mind but he didn't overlook the Spoiler. Speaking of Stubbs, between his beef with Buddy & his pin on Magnum, Stubbs has quite the opportunities heading his way.

The Union's new attitudes pay off with a win. Ferris may be big but he can't stand up to a Giant! Garvin one punch K.O's the Wrecking Machine! Love it! Vin Man helps his trimmed down Family get one up on their rivals. Larry Z walks out on Wahoo. Lawler has to be in Idol's head after getting the pin in the main event.

The Triangle of Terror have established themselves quickly. Between Race,JYD & Piper Flair has his hands full. Koloff & Valentine really shouldn't be antagonizing their partners like this. But it makes things interesting that they do. Youngblood has guts standing up to Race like that. Not sure it'll work out like he plans.

Mike Graham suffers so Black Bart can send a message. U.S Steel has found a nice niche kicking the crap outta mouthy bottom feeders. The Yankees use good ol' fashioned teamwork to beat the Timekeeper. Blackwell shows his versatility against Roop. So glad to see the crybaby chants live on. Don't know what Hayes problem is,Williams was just being nice returning Precious's purse. Allen has to dig deep into the bag to keep his title. I'm not sure how long he can keep this up. Fergie gets perhaps a tad overzealous enforcing the rules. Roberts definitely earned a raise though. Jackson's looking good next week.

The Powers of Pain defeat The Can-Am Express when the same masked man who attacked Luger came to ringside & distracted the ref while Barbarian illegalillegally entered the ring to hit Furnas with a big boot allowing Warlord to pin him. The Powers then left with the masked man. Tiger Conway Jr defeats Mr Wrestling 2 after avoiding the kneelift & performing a schoolboy with a handful of tights. "Crippler" Ray Stevens defeats Bugsy Mcgraw with the "Powerdriver" (piledriver) Non Title The Minnesota Wrecking Crew w/JJ Dillon & The Rockers wrestled to a 20 minute time limit draw. The Road Warriors w/"Precious" Paul Ellering defeat The Sawyers in a bruising brawl with Animal pinning a bloody Buzz after the Doomsday Device. Kerry Brown is warming up in the ring for his open challenge when the Soviet National anthem plays. NIKITA Koloff makes his way down to thunderous boos alongside Uncle Ivan. You really know how to make Singh feel like a big deal as he squashes a guy,scares the shit outta Resnick & brawls with Colon. Looking forward to their blowoff at the Rupp arena. Charland & Brito may have bitten off more than they can chew. Classic heel shtick by Vin Man,cost your man the match then kick him out of the group. Looking forward to the announcement regarding the National Tag Titles. I'm sure it'll be exciting. Priceless are getting their title shot! Yes! The 5 matches between the battle royal & the main event were the other 10 competitors facing each other in order of elimination so the higher they were on the card the longer they lasted in the battle royal.

Winston then walks to the nearest corner & prepares to cross when a car pulls up. The passenger side window rolls down & a voice asks "Ready to get to work partner?" Winston shakes his head laughing before replying "Just waiting on you man" before entering the passenger side. The camera looks into the front window revealing the driver to be Jerry Bryant. They both put on sunglasses before the car heads down the road. As they drive away the camera pans upward with text that reads "Spartanburg Vice arrives...Next Week!") Luger is handed the title & drops to his knees beating the canvas in celebration before a masked man runs in from the crowd & attacks Luger! The Masked Man helps Kabuki to his feet & after a quick conversation they both start putting the boots to Luger. Caudle & Schiavone apologize as the show's out of time but they promise to air the conclusion to this assault next week when Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling comes to you from the Memorial Auditorium in Spartanburg,SC!

Stiff competition for Orndorf & The Freebirds but they each endure. Busy night for Gino & Tully. First they screw DiBiase & Hansen out of the National Tag Titles then retain the World Titles against The Hacksaws. 30 minutes of Rich/Muraco sounds like a great end to any card.

Fans definitely have something to cheer for as both Russians go down in defeat. Mixed night for The Brain as his monsters fail to capture the tag straps but Patera retains. Big defenses for Tito & Sarge.

*Update on the return of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling* We can now report that MACW leadership has determined that as the hiatus prevented their champions from defending their titles from no fault of their own, All title holders when the hiatus began will initially retain their title when the company relaunches on September 10th. The recognized champions are as follows... NWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion: Hawk NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions: The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers (Jacques & Raymond) NWA United States Champion: Kerry Brown NWA United States Tag Team Champions: The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) As previously reported the Mid-Atlantic Television Championship title holder Tom Prichard was granted his release during the hiatus & the Mid-Atlantic Television Championship will be replaced with the NWA World Television Championship. We can now report that the new champion will be crowned on the return episode of MACW TV with a 12 man battle royal opening the show where the final 2 will meet in the main event to decide the new champion. The other 10 will face each other in order of elimination. We can also report that the event in Norfolk Virginia the following day will be headlined by 2 massive matches. First in the semi Kerry Brown has issued a open challenge for his United States Championship. And in the main event "Nature Boy" Ric Flair with JJ Dillon will face "Macho Man" Randy Savage with Ms Elizabeth to determine the first challenger for Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Road Warrior Hawk. This was originally going to be the finals of a tournament before the hiatus began & MACW leadership has decided that due to high fan interest & wanting to "tie up lose ends" this was the obvious main event. Ric McCord defeats Vinnie Romero by reversing a O'Connor roll & executing a bridge. "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel defeats Thunderbolt Patterson after a lowblow behind the referee's back. "Sweet" Stan Lane defeats "Hangman" Bobby Jagers w/Percy Pringle the 3rd by DQ when Jagers grew frustrated and assaulted Lane with his bull whip. Non title Killer Khan w/Percy Pringle the 3rd defeats "Mr USA" Tony Atlas after spraying him with the "Asain mist" while Pringle distracted the ref. Mr Wrestling 2 & Mr Olympia vs The Grappler & The Super Destroyer ended in a double DQ when the referee couldn't stop all four men brawling. SD2 ran down for a breif 3-2 advantage before Plowboy Frazier charged the ring. The massive farmboy caused the heels to scatter & the 3 faces stood tall to close the show.

"All Night" Norvell Austin w/"Pretty Boy" Floyd Creatchman defeats Steve Keirn after interference from Creatchman lead to a Moonsault. "Timekeeper" Mike George defeats Bugsy Mcgraw with a diving headbutt. Non title "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin defeats George Barnes w/Sir Oliver Humperdink with a Brainbuster. "Big Cat" Ernie Ladd & The Wild Samoans defeat Junkyard Dog, "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch & "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka when Ladd jabbed his taped thumb into Murdoch's throat behind the referee's back allowing the Samoans to hit a double headbutt.

We were all wondering how Medusa would respond to losing her group & her title & the answer seems to be...she's lost her goddamm mind! Misty Blue & Pardue have serious potential...if Pardue can focus that is. Moretti coasts for a bit & it nearly costs her 2 of her 3 titles. Interested to see how this plays out.
