  1. Classy for Butch to offer Gordy a title match when he gets better. Uncle Ivan talks him & Nikita into a Word Tag Title shot that may decide Nikita's next challenger! It wouldn't be a episode of Mid-South without Ladd arguing with Watts about something. The Patriots have a big opportunity ahead of them & their ready to grab it. Black Bart may have made the biggest mistake of his entire danggum career! Carl Fergie retires! But still has a proposal for the Shiek? Watch this space. Hayes with his weekly reminder that he's a dick leads to a light's out blindfold match! Soul Man is ready for some gold. Roberts vs Reed for the North American title. Bring it on! A particularly eventful episode of Power Pro.
  2. Ole Anderson,Bob Orton,Masked Superstar & Don Muraco vs Jake Roberts,Dick Slater,Roddy Piper & Ric Flair! The Greensboro Coluseam just sold out! I don't know why but I've got a bad feeling that Orndorf & Rich may not work as a team. Garvin vs Sarge is a guaranteed slugfest. DiBiase & Hansen are looking to become double champions but Gino & Tully aren't gonna make it easy. A wild main event rounds out another exciting episode of Georgia Championship Wrestling.
  3. Show kicks off with a heated exchange between Roberts/Slater & Heenan leading to a massive main event being signed! So ready for Battle Brawl! Mulligan & Windham are going Russian hunting after Ivan's cheapshot. Flair can't wait for the 30th & neither can I. Crockett should really make clear to Piper excactly when he can expect his rematch. Isn't wise to leave Hot Rod hanging like this. Great now everyone HAS to tune in next week just to find out who won this week's main event. I mean I'll do it but I'm not happy about it.
  4. Luscious is really proving himself in the opener each week. Also can we all agree the ref can't be blamed getting distracted by Woman? Tommy wins his first match back & even better (for him) he beats an Armstrong. Wildcat must've had quite the fight on his hands against the Maniac. Fujinami making Humperdink regret kicking him out. T&Z win a tough one against The Hangman. No surprise seeing Budro & Stubbs go to a non finish. The Dream drops the Outlaw & is looking to do the same to Blackjack. SBS warms up the Mississippi crowds. Surfs up is coming along. 2 out of 3 for Dark Journey's trio. Bullet puts the least of the Rich cousins to sleep but Tommy's gonna be quite a bit harder.
  5. I've noticed that too. Same for Sherri Martel & Moondog Spike.

"Dirty" Dutch Mantell defeats Chicky Starr when Starr tried to use a pipe on Mantell but it was taken by Jimmy Jack Funk distracting Starr enough Mantell could hit the Tennessee Chainsaw. Western States Heavyweight Champion Jumbo Tsuruta & One Man Gang w/Tojo Yamamoto & "General" Skandar Akbar defeat "The Unpredictable" Dick Slater & Terry Funk when Akbar distracted the referee allowing Tojo to enter the ring & crack Slater in the head with the Japanese flag putting him in position for the 747.

Shaska Whatley & Slick came down & declared a open challenge to anyone in the building. Which was answered by...The Midnight Stalker? Non title The Midnight Stalker defeats "Black Bullet" Shaska Whatley w/Slick with a lightning quick Flying Bodypress at the opening bell! As Whatley & Slick regrouped on the floor Stalker removed his mask to reveal...Tyree Pride! Western States Tag Team Championship The Moondogs (no Sullivan) defeat The Glamor Boys when Doll missed a cross-body off the top which the Moondogs followed with the backbreaker/elbow drop combination.

After the bell JYD got ahold of Creatchman & hit him with the Thump to send the crowd home happy.
  10. Medusa wins a bruising match against Bennett seemingly justifying her decision to kick her out of the Monsters. Interesting move by Singh though. Good news, The Giant Slayers win a shot at the Tag Titles. Bad news, they have to face The Monsters namely a unhinged Medusa. Pardue's obsession with Mitchell costs her & Combs as Moretti gets some payback for last week.
  11. Leduc pays dividends helping Roberts overcome Race. Brody takes Bart out of the tournament so Bart returns the favor using the branding iron! Don't blame Bart for hightailing it when Brody started looking for him. Yankee advances thanks to Allen. Unfortunately for him no such help against Reed. A miscue from the Freebirds leads to a successful defense for DiBiase & Williams. Race gets payback on Leduc helping Reed overcome Roberts. Emotional scene as Bam Bam hands over the title he didn't lose but promises he's still coming for Hayes!
  12. Great night for Dark Journey as Spoiler beats Daniels & Oliver/Regal win another shot at the tag titles. Luscious continues climbing the ranks. Khan gets himself disqualified but it's Fujinami who suffers for it. Magnum beats Stubbs but RPG'S men get revenge by storming the ring during the Contental title match & laying out everyone. Luckily The Dream is there to even the odds. T&Z put up quite the fight but DiBiase & Williams are simply too much.
  13. 2 nights of Phoenix Firestorm! HELL YEAH! And those main events alone are worth buying 2 tickets.
  14. WSW adds Chicky Starr to the trade block.
  15. First Portland. Owen gets the crowd going with a win over Morton. Los Guerreros really have Hall's number. Rotunda probably wasn't feeling like a winner after a whack from the kendo stick. Tanaka evens the score against Neidhart. Mr Hollywood has to get dirty to retain against Double J. Burke & Avenger earn themselves a tag title shot in Phoenix. Rose withstands a game Regal. On to Eugene. Brickhouse is a great opener. Pillman perhaps gets too excited against Orton. The Brigade with a hard-won victory over the leader of the Crazy Gang & its fiercest fighter. St Clair continues to be the difference maker. A violent tag match leads to 2 huge blow-offs. 45 minutes of Candido/Hase must've had Eugene on the edge of their seats.
  16. St Clair completely outwrestles Knobbs to the surprise of absolutely no one. Hart & Diamond seems like a solid workrate midcard match. The Beast withstands the onslaught of The Dog faced Gremlin. Steamboat squeaks out a win over The Outlaw but this clearly isn't over. The Wild Bulls are on the rampage & no one is safe! Hall's temper costs him & Megaman against Los Guerreros. You may have the most consistently stacked tv show in the game.
  17. Mid-South would like to book the NWA World Heavyweight Champion & the NWA World Jr Heavyweight Champion for September 12th please.
  18. A solid tv show that hard sells the crap outta the Omni show. Speaking of... New Six Man Champions! Something about The Freebirds lifting Six Man gold just feels right. DiBiase & Hansen survive a tough test. Roberts & Slater are taking the MACW Tag Team Titles home. Rich fights off The Masked Superstar but like he said there's more where he came from.
  19. First the TV show. The MACW/Georgia war is front page news as it should be! The six man titles & the MACW tag titles are on the line in the Omni! So long Big Daddy hello King Kong. Chaos follows a can't miss main event. The Piper/Slaughter feud is majorly heating up. On too Charlotte. Big win for young Bret. Nothing more wholesome than a father & son duo beating a couple of Russians in the early 80's. Santana finally gets a decisive win over Valentine. New U.S champ in the Queen city! Patera doesn't care how but he WILL hold onto that title.
  20. Each match has a 15 minute time limit. The Super Destroyers vs "Sweet" Stan Lane & Steve Keirn Lane & Keirn have gelled quickly & their fast paced offense stump the masked duo for a bit but ultimately they're superior size & teamwork take over & Keirn falls to a double superplex. Winners: The Super Destroyers The Kansas Jayhawks w/Percy Pringle the 3rd vs Junkyard Dog & "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch A real 4 man slugfest that could go either way but it's the Thump to Mantell that seals the deal. Winners: Junkyard Dog & Dick Murdoch The Midnight Express (Rose & Condry) vs "Timekeeper" Mike George & The Shadow To the surprise of everyone, The Shadow turns on George the second the bell rings. Rose & Condry feign shock before joining in for a 3-1 beatdown that lasts a few minutes before finishing it with a double flapjack. The Shadow hugs Rose & Condry before removing his mask to reveal... Norvell Austin! Bill Watts who has been at ringside announces that Austin is hereby barred from the building for the rest of the night. The MXE complain for a bit before Austin reluctantly agrees to be escorted out by security. The Wild Samoans w/"Big Cat" Ernie Ladd vs Black Dynamite (Thunderbolt Patterson & Tony Atlas) ends in a 15 time limit draw. The fans disappointment turns to anger when it's announced that the MXE recieve a bye to the finals. Winners: DRAW Mid-South Mississippi Championship Don Diamond(c) vs Killer Khan w/Percy Pringle the 3rd The Champs speed & technical ability let him hold out for a while but Khan is simply too much & a flying knee drop gives us a new Mississippi Champion. Winner AND NEW Mid-South Mississippi Champion: Killer Khan Mid-South Tag Title Tournament semifinal (30 minute time limit) The Super Destroyers vs Junkyard Dog & "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch This one breaks down several times even most of the "orderly" action consists of wild brawling. The end comes when SD1 attempts a suplex to Murdoch who counters into a Brainbuster. Winners: Junkyard Dog & Dick Murdoch Mid-South Louisiana Championship "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs Bob Roop w/Sir Oliver Humperdink ends in a 20 minute time limit draw. After the bell Roop jumps Garvin & locks in the double wristlock. It takes a entire swarm of security & the threat of suspension from Watts to make Roop break the hold. He grabs the Louisiana title & he & Humperdink pose with it as Garvin writhes in agony. Mid-South Tag Team Title tournament final (no time limit) The Midnight Express vs Junkyard Dog & "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch Over 20 minutes of back and forth action as both teams empty their arsenals. Halfway through Floyd Creatchman comes down but makes no move to interfere. Towards the end Condry pulls the referee in front of a Murdoch clothesline as JYD is brawling with Rose on the floor. As Mu is waking the ref Creatchman grabs one of the Tag Title belts & slides it to Condry. As Murdoch turns to re-engage Condry smashes him in the face with the belt before tossing it back to Creatchman. Condry covers & the ref groggily counts 1...2...(JYD tries to break it up but Rose grabs his legs)..3! Winners AND NEW Mid-South Tag Team Champions: The Midnight Express! Before the main event, it's announced that the next Superdome Extravaganza will take place on September 12th! Mid-South North American Championship. 1 hour time limit. The Grappler(c) vs Mr Wrestling 2 Nearly 40 minutes of intense action boils down to the closing stretch. As the referee checks on a down MW2 Grappler takes the opportunity to load his mask & get on the second rope. Amongst a sea of flashing cameras he dives... but MW2 ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY! The champ crashes to the mat! MW2 pulls himself up on the ropes as Grappler struggles to get to his feet. When he does MW2 uses all his energy to KNEELIFT THE LOADED MASK! GRAPPLER FLIES BACKWARD AS MW2 HOLDS HIS KNEE IN PAIN. HE CRAWLS TO THE COVER...1...2.. 3!!! THE 10 MONTH REIGN OF THE GRAPPLER IS OVER! Winner AND NEW Mid-South North American Champion: Mr Wrestling 2

  22. Western States Wrestling Episode 15 From the KFDA-TV Studio in Amarillo Texas. Airing live at Noon on WTBS Channel 17 8/15/86 The usual opening montage of Western States action set to "Into the fire" by Dokken opens the show ending on a shot of WesWestern States Heavyweight Champion Jumbo Tsuruta. We cut to Steve Stack standing in front of a joint WSW and NWA banner. SS: Welcome everyone to another exciting episode of Western States Wrestling at High Noon sanctioned by the National Wrestling Alliance, the premier governing body of professional wrestling the world over. We're a little over 3 weeks away from WSW's first solo supershow, The Labor Day Spectacular. And what a show that's shaping up to be & i understand Commissioner Frank Dusek will be out here later in the show with news guaranteed to make it even more can't miss then it already is. But that's in the future folks & we've got a stacked card right here today. Let's head to the ring for our first match. Match 1 "The Latin Heartthrob" Al Perez defeats Texas Outlaw #1 with the bridging German Suplex. (Post match promo by Perez where he says he'll be keeping a eye on the Television Championship match at Labor Day Spectacular & officially challenges the winner) Commercial break-Steve Stack runs down the Western States live events for this coming week. (We return to Steve Stack being joined by Skandar Akbar & OMG) SS: LadiLadiesand gentlemen my guests at this time are the "General" of Devastation Inc, Skandar Akbar & his client One Man Gang who will challenge for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against whomever the champion may be. General between that & Karachi Vice earning a shot at the NWA World Tag Team Titles, Labor Day Spectacular stands to be a career changing event for your men. SA: Steve Stack Labor Day Spectacular will go down in history as the most monumental day in the history not just of Devastation Inc but the entire National Wrestling Alliance. When i came to Western States Wrestling it was with the intent to build Devastation Inc into the most dominating force professional wrestling had ever seen & i have done precisely that. "Killer" Tim Brooks has become the terror he was always meant to be. Karachi Vice showing the NWA what the USWA already knew, that they are the greatest tag team in the sport & finally this man, this monster the One Man Gang is rising to the heights he was always intended. We don't care if it's Magnum T.A... Nikita Koloff...Ted DiBiase...Steve Williams or the Freebirds. All the titles will belong to Devastation Inc & if you doubt me for even a instant, watch what my monster does to these wretched souls. (with that OMG stomps to the ring) Match 2 One Man Gang w/"General" Skandar Akbar defeats Korey Waterman,Reg Garner & Carran Kersey by stacking them on top of each other and splashing the pile. Commercial-Promo for the Labor Day Spectacular. Tickets on sale now. Check your local listing. Match 3 The Glamor Boys defeat Robin Hedley & Andre Norris with Glitz and Glam on Hedley. (We cut to Steve Stack having been joined by Commissioner Frank Dusek holding a briefcase) SS: Alright big win for the Glamor Boys. Folks as you can see I've been joined by the commissioner of WSW Mr Frank Dusek who I understand has a couple of announcements regarding Labor Day Spectacular. FD: That's right Steve. First let me say that the response to the Labor Day Spectacular has incredible & we're very thankful to all our fans. Now as to the announcements, Western States has a proud history of being one of the most violent territories in the country & since our Resurrection we've done the best we can to uphold that legacy but something was missing. Something i couldn't put my finger on initially but then it hit me. That's why at the Labor Day Spectacular we're bringing back a title that was synonymous with Western States (Dusek opens the briefcase) The NWA Brass Knuckles Championship! *Big pop* This title marks it's holder as the toughest man in the NWA & after careful consideration the 2 men who will fight for this title at the Labor Day Spectacular are Killer Tim Brooks *Booooo* & "Dirty" Dutch Mantell! (Dusek let's the applause die down before continuing) And as for the second announcement. I've been around this business long enough to know that it's in the best interest of everyone that Jimmy Jack Funk & Chicky Starr settle their issue sooner rather than later, that's why at the Labor Day Spectacular they will meet one more time...in a Loser Leaves Town Texas Death Match! (Dusek leaves as the fans are going insane. Stack can barely be heard sending us to break) Commercial-Promo for the Labor Day Spectacular. Tickets on sale now. Check your local listing. Match 4 Non title "The Flamboyant" Eric Embry defeats Adrian Velasco with a Neckbreaker. (Post match promo by Embry. Says he knows nobody has the guts to answer his open challenge & he'll be only be showing up to collect his paycheck. Throughout the match & promo Embry is harassed with chants of "crybaby" that really set him off) Commercial break-Steve Stack runs down the card for the Sports Arena later today. Sunny War Cloud vs Tojo Yamamoto "The Haitian Sensation" Tyree Pride & The South Pacific Connection vs Black Diamond Talent Agency w/Slick Pvt Don Kernodle vs "Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan Cpl Kirchner vs Jason the Terrible Radiance vs The Long Riders Makahn Singh w/"General" Skandar Akbar vs "The Pride of Montague County" Johnny Mantell Bullrope Match Kendall Windham vs Killer Tim Brooks w/"General" Skandar Akbar "The Unpredictable" Dick Slater & The Funk Family vs Zaibatsu (Western States Heavyweight Champion Jumbo Tsuruta,Kendo Nagasaki,Mr Pogo & "Wild Tiger" Kim Duk) w/Tojo Yamamoto Bell time 3pm tickets still available! After the bell the rest of Zaibatsu ran down & attacked Terry bringing out the rest of the Funk Family & Dick Slater! Fists are flying & it's utter chaos as we head off the air.
  23. The Bullet wants to whip Tommy's ass so bad he pays 100k just to get a chance! Me he & Brad are gonna make sure "Dangerous" Davey & The Winner don't get anywhere near the Tag Titles. And it's all leading up to a Loser Leaves Town match! I don't think it could end any other way. Stubbs & RPG get caught on camera spilling the whole plan, which wasn't too bad for the record. Now Stubbs faces Magnum & the winner refs the Contental title match. Whether it's singles or Tag, The Highwaymen & The Hangman can't be controlled. Oh man! Humperdink brings in Killer Khan to deal with Fujinami! So the whole group flirt with Solie wasn't just for laughs, they expect a title match. Interesting plan. Gonna be a huge night in Huntsville. DWBs bring it home in the main event. But would they have if Humperdink were there?
  24. Damn you know Ladd has a point if JR can't even argue with him. Street Fight in Houston for the World Tag Team Titles! I agree with Ted, someone SHOULD take that briefcase (and the money inside) from the Shiek! I'm sure it's merely a coincidence that Precious has a purse that looks just like the one that ko'd Doc...and that she has a history of loading her purse....and that she loaded it this week...and that Jimmy would fit right in on Bad Street. Coincidence!
  25. Final card for the Superdome Extravaganza. August 15th New Orleans Louisiana Louisiana Superdome Mid-South Tag Team Championship Tournament. Wild card battle royal, final 2 men form the final team. The Super Destroyers vs "Sweet" Stan Lane & Steve Keirn The Kansas Jayhawks ("Dirty" Dutch Mantell & "Hangman" Bobby Jagers) w/Percy Pringle the 3rd vs Junkyard Dog & "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch The Midnight Express ("Ravishing" Randy Rose & "Lover Boy" Dennis Condry) vs wild card team The Wild Samoans w/"Big Cat" Ernie Ladd vs Black Dynamite (Thunderbolt Patterson & "Mr USA" Tony Atlas) Non tournament matches Mid-South Mississippi Championship Don Diamond(c) vs Killer Khan w/Percy Pringle the 3rd Mid-South Louisiana Championship "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin(c) vs Bob Roop w/Sir Oliver Humperdink Mid-South North American Championship The Grappler(c) vs Mr Wrestling 2
