Yeah it sucks. Big WM 27 vibes

Honestly the ads shit is so insane to me. Paul Veerhoven couldn't make a satire this absurd. What in the fuck. They literally go from the end of the match in to 3 commercials to come back to 3 ad reads from announcers to a whole ad break because video packages are pay walled. And then do more ad reads during entrances.
-
I hope whatever agent put this match together is not allowed to put matches together for a long time because this is the exact opposite of what the storyline and previous interactions called for.
-
Another extended ad in an entrance. Every match of the weekend is going to have this shit. Gross.
-
The amount of ads is absolutely wild. Jey's entrance had both Fatal Fury and Slim Jim incorporated advertising in it, the mat has 9 logos, the top and bottom buckle pads have ads, the ring posts/apron/guard rails have ads, the stage itself has Xfinity logos on it.

Just announced on the preshow with all of the luchadores in WWE and Vikingo. That sure came out of nowhere. They will be holding Worlds Collide June 7th at the LA Forum.

Turned on NXT just at the start of the women's title match and jesus christ this is a mess

I do not ever see him coming back to WWE TV in any form, more so that everything is a lot smoother and more chill without him than the optics from his case.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
strobogo replied to TravJ1979's topic in Pro Wrestling
Amazing how absolutely awful Bloodsport shows are. The worst UWF/I show you've ever seen is 300% better than what Bloodsport does. It actually looks significantly lamer and faker than normal bad pro wrestling. -
Joe's AEW has been so good it's unbelievable considering how bad he was at the end of his WWE run and that last NXT run, and even the end of his TNA run over a decade ago. Unreal rebound.
-
Because Bryan said he made it up at one point

Punk is different because he makes sure to make his political views known and wants people to know them, he's wealthy and doesn't need the job, and has leverage within the company. And what the company is representing is completely antithetical to what he makes sure you know he stands for. I don't think it is unreasonable for people to think that Punk, specifically, should leave that place ASAP. But then he was in a segment with Tony Hinchcliffe and Bert Kreischer so. As for flat earther AJ Styles, that was Danielson trolling him in some interview and it somehow stuck as truth for 10 years now, which is lol.
-
Cena saying that is more surprising than anything because he's always very stonefaced opaque about anything remotely controversial and it feels very out of character to say something that even could generate controversy. Living the heel life, I guess.

Bro the nuke can be dropped directly on my house. Let me the fuck off this ride. WWE top stars and C-suite fuckos are talking about politics. The last page or two is directly from HHH and Roman Reigns talking about Trump in WM media week. Get fucked, geek.
-
Shit I wouldn't be that surprised. Vince and talk about Vince was all over that WM 9 doc, HHH was talking about him a quite a bit in his Rosenberg interview. He's been referenced a number of times in promos in the lead up to WM this year. I think the main thing stopping it would be Vince himself likely would not do an appearance if he wasn't in charge of everything.
-
https://x.com/FadeAwayMedia/status/1913006830285942853 I want off this ride. China, if you're listening, please drop the nukes. If Punk had any principles he projects to have, he should no show WM and walk out again.
-
It seemed very in character for MJF, but not so much for AEW.
-
That was a really cool looking venue too
-
Don't worry, the people in charge of the government, who are friends with these people, speak exactly the same way despite being 100% in control of every branch of government and their preferred media outlet being the dominant news outlet for about 30 years now. The pathology of these fuckos.
-
The petty shit of having Seth on TV and in media for WM repeatedly talk about Punk working for a billionaire's son, and now the CEO specifically pointing out the same thing. It's like Vince never left.
-
I don't think the audience is in the same spot as the management and I'm 100% positive if Trump pops up at WM like he does UFC shows, he will get booed out of the building to the point they have to cut audio or do it fully backstage without a live crowd. Crowds booed the shit out of him at college football and the Super Bowl (which also used fake audio to cover it).

I'm good. But FTR vs MCMG maybe

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
strobogo replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
Much more surprising that TNA office would turn that down considering they've already allowed their champions to lose to WWE people on NXT. Like shit, dropping the title to Miz on Raw and having Miz run with the TNA Championship on Raw every week for a month before dropping it back to Hendry on a TNA PPV seems like about as good as you can ask from that partnership. -
Naito and Bushi are also leaving in May. Naito's time to make a move to US wrestling long passed him imo because he is almost as busted as Tana, but I could see him just hanging out in Mexico doing random shows and once in a while pop up in AEW or something.
-
Hard pass on Balor. Or DIY or MCMG. AEW has enough of indie and Japan/TNA guys from 2005-2012.
