  1. I get that Vince did a lot for Ric financially and personally in some of Ric's darkest periods, but dude was already in his 40s and a probably 10 time world champion by the time he went to work for Vince, so the idea that Vince "made" him is so strange.
  2. Yeah it's in very poor taste
  3. 2001-2002 had the best video packages despite some real music Loney Road of Faith All the Desire videos with fucking Creed The various Saliva songs Let The Bodies Hit The Floor There was a Puddle of Mudd one time and of course My Way the GOAT
  4. I'd say whoever runs the warehouse archive probably works in that role
  5. Cody has long said that HHH is actually one of his biggest influences and mentors in his WWE run. I think he'll be fine when he returns. As for Keith Lee's age, he's younger than Bryan, Punk, Claudio, Kingston, Omega, Christian the same age or within a year of: Miro, Black, Moxley, Orange
  6. TK's vision is 1997/1998 WCW. HHH's vision is 1989 JCP.
  7. Christopher Daniels is the head of talent relations. I'm confused at why his name doesn't pop up in these stories. It seems like that communication is his job, not Tony's.
  8. The Usos/New Day match from Summerslam pre-show in 2017 was the WWE match of the year
  9. I think he's done, because there's no way he announces his retirement with the intention of coming back when the heat dies down due to investor fears of what happens without Vince guiding everything. I'm sure he will still have some input, particularly with business stuff. Obviously something serious has come up if he retires with a tweet a couple of hours before Smackdown after weeks of going out of his way to put himself back on TV in response to the allegations.
  10. Ex/Taz/Tony is the team they should stick with. Maybe just bring JR out for one big match on PPVs or something.
  11. HHH/JJ creative team could actually produce pretty good tv, imo
  12. Mauro ain't moving the needle, pal
  13. AEW has 6 announcers (2 of which are workers), have multiple guests per show. They also hired Big Show and Mark Henry for commentary (I have no idea if Show does commentary as I never watch the youtube shows). They shouldn't be even thinking about picking up another commentator.
  14. Ending is real weird because there's nowhere else for that feud to go after a War Games and a barbed wire deathmatch, so Eddie losing to massive amounts of fuckery, but throwing Jericho into the spider web doesn't seem like a satisfying ending for him. Other than that, show was pretty rad.
  15. No matter how bloody the barbed wire match gets, there is no chance it is anywhere close to being as violent as Darby/Brody. That shit was so gnarly the idea of putting Sting anywhere near that is scary shit.
  16. Double J was by far the most interesting thing on the GCW show, too. Dark outlaw Double J is really something I don't think anyone could have predicted even being a thing, let alone actually being compelling.
  17. It feels like a lot of things have been put on hold or stretched out waiting for Kenny to return, so that should really inject a boost of energy. Have there been any updates on Bryan's return schedule?
  18. Ol' Double J lookin' GOODT. I watched one of the doc episodes and actually it was very well made and has me interested in more than a "this is going to be such a disaster" kind of way. A whole section on Ric might actually die in the ring and it'd be worth it really seems to be tempting fate. Can't believe the Jeff isn't a real Horseman bit on the podcast was long term booking all along.
  19. Lol at this jobber team. Completely lacking any emotion in their faces whatsoever.

    WWE TV 7/11-7/17

Just going to TV 14 doesn't mean they have to go back to Attitude Era/Ruthless Aggression era bawdiness. Like....WWE would be completely in control of that.
  21. I think it's more important to sell your heart out when you're losing actually
  22. This has been a very sports entertaining television program
  23. Takeshita is fucking awesome
  24. I believe a lot of heavy bleeders in the 70s and 80s would take a handful of advil an hour before match time
  25. Booking Wardlow's first defense to be against Orange Cassidy seems like a real bad idea unless the plan is to continue the trend of the crowds turning on the TNT Champion.
