  1. Jerry Lawler & Jim Ross vs. Michael Cole & Jack Swagger (Country Whipping Match) - This is where you should really consider firing an agent. They make it a regular tag instead of a TX Tornado match where you could just have guys strapping the shit out of each other. JR wouldn't have to do world-worst clotheslines or Dusty Dancing. It actually started off as an entertaining segment but descended into silliness. I was hoping for more country whipping. There were some nice shots but I don't care about this anymore.
  2. Kofi Kingston vs. Sheamus (Tables Match) - Not a good match. Kofi wins the belt.
  3. Punk vs. Orton - Really sick spots in this one and I thought it was well constructed for a finisher killer match. I was hoping against hope that one of Punk's spots would have finished it but I knew Orton was going over. Reminds me of HHH pinning Jericho back to back in 2002. Is it just my feed or is the crowd really quiet tonight?
  4. Good Will Wrestling RETURNS, as Will and Naylor are joined once more by Lars Frederiksen (of Rancid, Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards and the Old Firm Casuals), who brings his energy and drops knowledge on various topics, including WrestleMania 2011 weekend, El Gigante and why he wants “Da Belt”, why Sean X Pac Waltman rules, Pampiro Firpo – postman?, current sh*t we’re all diggin, Jun Kasai and BJW wrestling, Naylor’s current wrasslin’ commentary sojourn, what Van Hammer and Lars initially had in common and much, much, much…much more. Enjoy!!!! http://www.flairchop.com/archives/869
  5. Give me some examples of the Fairplay and his Wife stories. Never heard of them.
  6. When I put the 95 yearbook together it will be interesting to revisit the feud.

  8. Some wounds cut too deep to heal. This one is going to take a while.
  9. I guess Dylan Waco and I are narrow minded and don't know an ass from an elbow.
  10. That's the great thing about the Yearbook Project. We can revisit these things now instead of relying on our thoughts from the past.
  11. I never got the vibe that Trips was a fan of Ryder's. Where has that been reported?

  14. They weren't complete but there were enough 10-15 minute clips of Steamboat-Flair matches from the 70s off of the Cornette Garbage tapes to safely say that both Steamboat and Flair were tearing it up in the late 70s.
  15. That isn't a list in order of great black wrestlers. Just a random list for people to think about. Obviously, Koko should be on the list.
  16. John, if you don't want to be banned, retract your statement that Alvarez is above me on the wrestling scale of 100.
  17. I like the SB match as well but I know others have described it as dull. What is your take on why the match is so great? Also, give me some context on the Windham match.
  18. I am arguing the statement that he never had a great match, not your enjoyment of him. I don't buy the argument that you have to have a great non-gimmicked match to be considered a great wrestler although I think more highly of the Tenryu-Dibiase match as his mat classic. We compare gimmick matches with standard matches all the time. Why is Dibiase demoted for having classic brawls and bloodbaths and cage matches? Also, the "other people liked it" isn't my argument. They are exhibit a, b, c, d, e, f, g, & h of Dibiase matches people should check out to see great Dibiase work.
  19. Cool! Listen to the NJ one with Monsta MAck and the Horsemen show with Lars Frederiksen. Two of my favorite shows that we have done.
  20. I don't disagree with this. But DiBiase isn't grouped with Cactus Jack or guys like that. He's more often compared to Flair and Steamboat and Windham and Bret Hart and such -- that classic-style wrestler. He just doesn't have any great matches in that style. Blame it on positioning or whatever, but they're not there. The Tenryu match from All Japan is pretty freaking great. We are shifting the paradigm. However, I just listed 8 matches from Mid South that he was in that people thought were great. Some of Bret Hart's and Ric Flair's best matches were brawls. Can't say the same for Windham and Steamer. But who cares? Dibiase has a collection of great matches that were compared to not only brawls but technical matches from the Mid South period. If you were underwhelmed with the Mid South matches then understood, but the people who voted for the matches were not.
  21. I am going to save you from yourself. Don't go down that path.
  22. That would be fine but you wouldn't have the suck of the main event ending the show. The Taker-HHH war would have been a fine ending.
  23. I just re-read your post and I can see why not having a circle of friends to watch wrestling would hurt your ability to enjoy it. Hell, I was supposed to have 4 friends show up for Mania on Sunday. 1 showed up. However, I have made friends on this board and through trading. Hell, I raised over $500 for a buddy with cancer last year from the tape trading community. I made a post in the trading forum about the incredibly nice people I have met through wrestling. I talk to Naylor and Schneider nearly every other day. I call my buddy Baker nearly every day without fail on my way home from work. It's a strange wonderful thing when the wrestling nerds become your friends.
  24. I need to retract some of my argumentative statements since the post is "how you see yourself". I shouldn't judge others on how they see themselves, only how I perceive them.
