Christ, the question isn't if it is a shoot or not... it is how far they will let Punk go with it. That is the part that is fun, not determining if it is a shoot (except for that initial interview... fuck, that was great).

To be fair, Alvarez and mookieghana did an article about PPV buyrates and what would be a fair price earlier this year or late last year. Also, the HD stream for the PPV in SA was $45 for Time Warner.

I wasn't laughing at the injury, so much the surrounding events in the aftermath. It's been ten years... too soon?

HAH! If we have a guest on, we'll say GWW WITH LARS, CORINO, etc. When we are talking about someone... Tribute to Blah Blah Blah.
-
We'll find out in the Meltzer thread. Why aren't you guys creating threads for tonight's RAW or for HHH conspiracy theories or something?
-
Agreed. Being a hardcore fan like Alvarez, I love the way it has been going, and the cities the events have been held in (Chicago and Boston) have reacted positively. If the casual fans don't like the path this has taken then they can go back to boring land.

If you look at the numbers breakdown, the Punk-Cena stuff at the beginning pulled a 3.1. Every segment on the show except one dropped numbers until the contract signing. Then the contract signing pulled a 3.5. It wasn't the Punk angle that killed ratings, it was everyone else.
-
The HOme Run Derby is no excuse. However, one thing was very apparent from the breakdown of numbers... whoever was watching cared about CM Punk and nobody else.

Good Will Wrestling reaches new heights with a show on the man, the master and ruler of the world - SID VICIOUS. A monster of an athlete that tore through rings like a hemophiliac through a package of bandaids, Sid dominated everywhere he went and Rob and Will talk about why and how. Learn how Sid was Rob's favorite wrestler as a kid, enjoy discussion on Sid's best matches, angles and yes, even his infamous leg break. If you are a fan of steroids OR wrestling, or the best possible combination of BOTH... LISTEN TO THIS SHOW! http://www.flairchop.com/archives/992 Also, I am going to make some Good Will Wrestling T-Shirts. I am not looking to make any money or advertise, just want to know if people would be interested in picking one up. $5 if you buy it with something else or $10 by itself to help cover shipping. Just a basic black shirt with the following logo on the front. If I can get 20 shirts made, I’ll do it. If not, no big deal! If you want a shirt, let me know with a quick email so I can know if the interest is there. No need to pay for anything yet. If I can’t get 20 responses, I’ll know that now is not the time to get them made. http://www.randomintelligence.com/goodwillwrestling2.jpg

I thought we were beyond the Kerry was luggage talking point. Didn't the Texas set put an end to that nonesense? Most people who bring that crap up refer to his WWF run which was shit. Then again, he isn't the only wrestler past his prime who had shit matches in the WWF. He was having great matches with the entire locker room in Texas from 1982-1988 and very rarely was he the worst guy in the ring. Also, the few matches I have seen from AWA Wahoo have all been good with a legitimate #1 contender with Bock in the early 80s.

[1992-02-01-WWF-Superstars] Papa Shango vignette
goodhelmet replied to Loss's topic in February 1992
The sad thing is that if they could have found a Papa Shango that could work (Butch Reed? Maybe even Ron Simmons?) and Taker was able to put on his post 1996 working boots, this could have been a feud of the decade on the two gimmicks colliding. Of course, it doesn't matter because it was the Godfather in the gimmick. -
You could say the same thing about Benoit's entire career save for maybe his Japanese work.

Asking for all 30 was me trolling you the way that I trolled Dylan about HHH in 2000. The in-depth stuff you gave in your post was excellent and more than enough. I just felt your quick recap was selling the match short even though that was not your intention

[1992-02-01-USWA-TV] Jeff Jarrett & Jerry Lawler vs The Moondogs
goodhelmet replied to Loss's topic in February 1992
HAH! You're only a month in. The good thing is this thing lasted the entire year. -
Too bad I haven't done previous years for the yearbooks but I think I would like to see how these matches hold up in sequence of the feud. It might not hold up individually but may work really well as the next match in the series.

[1992-01-11-WWF-Superstars] Funeral Parlor: Ric Flair & Mr Perfect
goodhelmet replied to Loss's topic in January 1992
I am a little saddened that Flair turned his interviews up to ten on the volume. Some of Flair's absolute best moments are just him talking to the crowd, being as cool as cool can be. -
I'd really like to hear your thoughts on individual performances besides Flair's in the match. Break down the 30.

I am pretty sure it was on the first show.

Comments that don't warrant a thread 2010-2011

Dumbest idea I have ever seen.
