  1. Kris is joined by Dylan Hales (Wrestling Culture) & El Boricua (Pro Wrestling Only) to discuss the career of Jose Gonzalez aka Invader I. Everyone knows about the Bruiser Brody tragedy but this show isn’t about that as discuss his career inside the ring and all of the great matches and angles he was involved in. This show was originally going to focus on numerous guys but we got so involved with Invader that a single show just for him was the right thing to do. This show is a must listen!!!!! http://placetobenation.com/exile-on-badstreet-18-requiem-for-the-invader/
  2. Perrito deserved to be in when he retired.....death came first......
  3. They call it the "blowtorch" down here because of that at night time
  4. What's the latest on Roku, Bruce
  5. Thanks.....I haven't seen that since it first aired
  6. Kris & David are joined by Kurt Brown (Lucha World) to discuss the week that was October 27-November 2, 1993. We discuss the legendary Arn Anderson vs. Sid Vicious hotel room brawl and the huge aftermath that followed, we also discuss the death of Oro who was on the verge of becoming the next big star in Lucha Libre, and we also discuss the storm that is brewing involving the WWF and their links to steroids!!!! http://placetobenation.com/between-the-sheets-15-october-27-november-2-1993/
  7. EMLL is still technically the promotion name with CMLL as the sanctioning body. It would be like New Japan being called IWGP instead of NJPW.
  8. I think the crux of the Dundee/Flair thing was that Dundee was heel......Flair was portrayed as heel......Dundee didn't want to be cheered so went with Koko instead since Lawler big loss was being saved for Dundee in a month.
  9. Flair's heat with Dundee comes from the fact that they were supposed to work each other at MSC...but Dundee jobbed the Southern Title off to Koko to avoid from losing to Flair.....
  10. Bix talking about the tip is the gift that keeps on giving.
  11. Terry Justice is who Parv is talking about and he had some really great stuff but no hard news just results and clippings
  12. The problem with WWE doing that style of work today is back in the day the wrestlers could play to the fans to rile them up....they can't do that now so if they lock a hold they are just there like a statue....not talking shit to the fans or whatever else.
  13. There was no Torch in 1984, 1986, or 1987...... Matwatch started in 1988......the only other real newsletters were mainly results based. Steve Helwagen had one that had some news that Dave didn't have but he was the only one,.
  14. Nope.....we have done earlier shows before Torch started
  15. Yeah he clarified later on Twitter it was the Bojangles Center.
  16. It actually did deserve to be on the set though....there weren't any on the cutting block that had enough support to knock it off
  17. Absolutely......if they didn't deserve to be on the set they would've have been there it's the placement of some matches which always seemed way too high to a lot of us when the votes came back.
  18. Kris & David are joined by Chad Campbell (Where the Big Boys Play) to discuss the week that was October 20-26, 1990. We talk about some shakeups in the WWF both in and out of the ring, we discuss the return of Tatsumi Fujinami from a years absence, the debut of M.C. Jammer, Jerry Lawler’s hatred of beer, Jim Cornette and more legal issues, plus a special brief history of the Atlanta, Georgia Strip Club Culture!!!!!!! http://placetobenation.com/between-the-sheets-14-october-20-26-1990/
  19. Kris is joined by Rob Bihari & Joe Lanza (Voices of Wrestling) to discuss the evolution of the live wrestling audience. We discuss the early beginnings of the wrestling chants and how ECW played a major factor in it but weren’t the true genesis. We also discuss our favorite wrestling towns and venues as well as live experiences which are worldwide. We also put WWE on blast on how they can make their product more appealing to their fans. This is a great show and if you love or hate the wrestling chant culture this is a must listen!!! http://placetobenation.com/exile-on-badstreet-17-the-crowd-goes-wild/
  20. That is definitely where it all started was on the Mid-South set with the Taylor matches in particular......I thought Flair/Bock was fun and needed to be on the set but it was 50% of the match and it finished absurdly high mainly because of who was in it.
  21. Come on Parv you can't use the DVDVR ranking of Flair/Koko as a selling point.......look at how high Flair/Bock ranked on the AWA set.......biases come into play......Koko is great though but still it placed way higher than it should've
  22. Dick Togo era 2001-03 was really good
