  10. Kris Zellner & David Bixenspan are joined by Les Moore (Sheet Sandwich) to discuss the week that was August 25-31, 1991. We discuss Ultimate Warrior threatening WWF, Randy Savage threatening to quit, Bruno Sammartino threatening Mark Madden, Riki Choshu threatening to retire, & Ric Flair threatening to sue everyone!!!! http://placetobenation.com/between-the-sheets-6-august-25-31-1991/
  11. I think Randy Orton will clean up with the wrestlers demo but may tank everywhere else
  12. This week's episode of Georgia Championship Wrestling kicks off with Gordon Solie joined by Mr. Wrestling where they talk about the big 6-man tag match coming up later today with the Gentleman's Club facing off against Adrian Adonis, Angelo Mosca, & Jake Roberts where if the GC wins then Jim Holliday can pick the opponent for Jake at the NWA 35th Anniversary Show on 9/4 at The Omni live on WTBS. This brings out Holliday who does his roll call with the GC coming in tow and Holliday said that this is going to be a great day today because there are a lot of stupid people in the world especially in the studio and he isn't just talking about the fans but the wrestlers and everyone else in GCW. Holliday said that Jake Roberts' days are numbered and he reminds him that he has no friends only enemies. After the GC walks off, Solie also reminds us that Greg Gagne will meet George Weingroff today in a match that Weingroff says is for Gagne's respect and he also announces that after winning the tournament last week that Butch Reed & Koko Ware will face The Shadow Riders for the National Tag Titles on 9/4 at The Omni on the NWA 35th Anniversary Show. MATCH #1 Scott McGhee vs. Rick McCord Good little scientific match which serves as a spotlight match for McGhee who uses a German Suplex hold to win in 7:33. McGhee then goes over to Solie afterwards and he says that there is a guy who is running around here trying to make a name for himself embarassing people named Timothy Flowers. McGhee said that Flowers thinks he is a real man and only associates with real men well he said that he is standing right here and if Flowers wants a piece of him then he can come get it. Flowers and his manservant Pablo come out and Flowers tells him that it won't be that easy for McGhee because he handles business when he feels like it and he said that he had a rough night last night as he and Pablo had fun with their friends at Piedmont Park so he was taking the day off but if McGhee would wait one week then he would grant his wish. McGhee said sure he would wait and then when he turned his back he got jumped by Flowers who put him in a figure-four leglock on the floor until Ron Ritchie & Jerry Bryant made the save. Freddie Miller then runs down all the major NWA events from the previous week before going to break. Brad Armstrong & "Pistol" Pez Whatley come out next and they talk about hopefully getting National Tag Titles shots down the road when Solie asks Brad about the football jersey he was wearing and Brad tells him that it was a gift from the Harrison High School football team from Marietta and that he told them that he would gladly wear it on TV to show his support and appreciation. MATCH #2 Brad Armstrong & "Pistol" Pez Whatley vs. Jerry Bryant & Ron Ritchie Good back and forth match before The Southern Studs (Chick Donovan & Tommy Wright) show up and they join Solie at ringside saying that Brad & Pez are no way better than they are and that the Studs deserve a title shot well before they do. Chick then notices Brad's football jersey and grabs it saying that this is a cheaply made jersey that Brad should be ashamed of wearing so he tells Tommy to give him his scissors and then Chick starts cutting up the jersey right as Brad hits a Russian Legsweep on Bryant to win in 9:11. Brad finally sees what is going on and he & Pez run after the Studs who escape before Brad comes back out picking up what was left of his jersey and he said that the Studs have made a huge mistake and he won't stop until he does some cutting of his own....which is their hair. MATCH #3 The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) vs. Jerry & Ted Oates This is a really good match that ends up going to a 15:00 draw. The Nightmares though aren't happy with that finish and jump the Oates' as they tried to leave the ring. They bloody up Jerry then they give Ted their tombstone piledriver/diving legdrop combo before the other faces run them off. Solie then asks the Nightmares why did they feel like they needed to do that and Davis tells Solie that they are tired of being pushovers around here and that they had to make a statement today to all of the tag teams in GCW. Mr. Wrestling them comes out and he tells them that they made a statement alright and that next week they will face the Oates brothers again and if the Nightmares lose the match they will be gone from the promotion for 90 days. Freddie Miller then goes over all the GCW events from the previous week. We come back from break with Solie joined by Greg Gagne who says that he really doesn't want to have a match with George Weingroff bu George showed so much emotion last week slapping him in the face that he had to do what he had to do but again this will be a scientific match no roughhousing. MATCH #4 Greg Gagne vs. George Weingroff True to his word, Gagne keeps it clean and this is a total scientific match but Weingroff gets the better of Greg on occasion. Greg though comes back and he gets his Indian Death Lock on George but George gets to the ropes to break the hold. Greg then gets up and looks frustrated while George would take Greg's legs out from under him and got a jackknife cradle to win the match in 8:56. The crowd goes nuts as George has finally proven himself worthy to Greg and says as much as he goes over to Solie. Greg gets out of the ring and joins them at the podium saying that George beat him fair and square and now that George has the confidence he needs to make their team stronger and as they walk off....Gagne grabs Weingroff by the hair and posts him not once not twice but three times. Gagne then yells at Solie that he carried this guy for almost 2 months now and he thinks he is better than he is then he is dead wrong. Solie then yells at Greg how can he disgrace his family's legacy in wrestling and the fans love for him and Greg said that none of that has gotten him where he needed to be and now it's time for him to do what he has to do to be better than his father ever was. We come back from break with Solie still shaken up from what just happened saying that he has known the Gagne family for over 25 years and the fact that Greg has disgraced the Gagne name is a shame that he hopes will not go unpunished. Mr. Wrestling then comes out and said that he can't believe what he just saw and that Greg Gagne will definitely get his soon. MATCH #6 "Hacksaw" Butch Reed vs. Les Thornton Reed wins with a diving shoulderblock off the top rope in 10:43 but as he celebrated he was attacked by The Shadow Riders who stomp him down until Koko Ware runs out with a steel chair to make the save. We come back from break with Solie joined by Adrian Adonis, Angelo Mosca, & Jake Roberts saying that this is a team he never thought he would see and Jake said yeah it wasn't any of their choices to be aligned together but they share a common cause of hating the Gentleman's Club. Jake said that Jim Holliday is a leech who must be squashed as managers in general in wrestling are all money loving leeches that end up making all of their charges broke because they steal all their money. Mosca then steps up and says that since he has been free that he has never been happier and Adonis follows up saying that managers are worthless with Holliday being the most worthless. MATCH #7 The Gentleman's Club ("The Crippler" Rip Oliver, "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer, & Super Destroyer) vs. "Adorable" Adrian Adonis, "King Kong" Angelo Mosca, & Jake "The Snake" Roberts This is a total back and forth war with everyone going balls to the wall before it breaks down into a 6-way battle with Jake & Sawyer being the legal men and as Scrappy McGowan is trying to control the action.....all of a sudden Greg Gagne runs out wearing a black glove and he enters the ring where he KO's Jake then runs out. Buzz then climbs up top and hits a big diving body press on Jake to get the pinfall. Everyone is stunned at what just happened and Holliday goes over to Solie saying that he warned everyone earlier in the show that they were stupid and he then formally introduced the newest member of the "Gentleman's Club".....Greg Gagne.....Greg tells Solie that Gentleman Jim Holliday has been talking with him for a while and that he has seen what he has done for his charges and that is getting them main events day after day week after week while he has been stuck carrying George Weingroff around. Holliday then said that he is going to reward Greg for his actions and pulls out some keys which he said that Greg is now the new owner of the 1983 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 and Holliday follows up saying that Jake Roberts will face Buzz Sawyer on 9/4 at The Omni and that the National Heavyweight Title will come home to the Gentleman's Club as we fade to black.
