I'm with Rain, can't blame the Horsemen for getting the hell outta dodge. Debeers is fired up. The Blazing Dragons have all the momentum heading into SuperClash. Gama and Sammartino vow to keep it friendly. Some strong promos tonight. Tribal Nation are ready for the Tornado tag. Iceman gets the W but Burke leaves him cold. Arcini couldn't wait to give his boys a hand. Well looks like it's time or Vinnie to have a falling out with another client. Morrow steps up to make sure the World championship match goes off without a hitch. A heated exchange between champion and challenger makes for a great end to the episode.

Hennig v Muta on free TV? Sounds like a great deal to me. Luger's sending Race some pretty clear signals but i'm not sure the legend is picking them up.

(During this week's year end recap, two vignettes aired showing a pair of talent who will be making their debut for the WWF in 1991) Brooklyn NYC, night time. Outside shot of a night club that's clearly seen better days. Cut to inside where a small but lively group are dancing the night away to The Trammps "Disco Inferno". The camera move through the crowd before setting on one particular dancer. A good bit younger than the rest with a good build and meticulously coiffed hair, he moves with an energy that lights up the dance floor. We linger on him for a memento before he turns to the camera and flashes a winning smile. Coming to prove that disco will never die....Disco Inferno! Establishing shot of a mental hospital. As the camera slowly pans through the abandoned building shadows dance across the wall, rats scurry across the floor and wind howls through broken windows. But cutting above it all is the laughter. Laughter that grow slowly, steadily, oppressively as we wonder through the dirty, debris laden hallway. Finally among a row of closed doors that the viewer can surmise housed the patients of this facility, we find one that's open. Inside a bald, stocky man is drawing on the walls with....something as he laughs to himself. Eventually he notices the camera and he drops the utensil he was using to paint the wall. His laughter gets somehow louder and more manic before he rushes the camera. Static but we still hear the laughter. Unleashing madness in the WWF....Horace the Psychopath!

Another fun weekend of WCW programming. Muta seems to at least be making an effort to be a team player.

Tasha thought she and her boys pulled a fast one last week but the new commissioner puts her in her place. The Crazees get their first TV win. RVW once again proves to be a delight. Unfortunately for him, there's a second dog on the hunt in Championship Wrestling.

Midway through the match, Frenchy Martin walked down to ringside but made no immediate move. That changed when DK had Benoit in position for the diving headbutt. While the ref was checking on Benoit, Martin claimed up on the apron and shoved DK to the mat. This allowed Benoit to regroup and catch DK in a dragon suplex as he staggered to his feet. After the three count, Martin got in the ring and raised Benoit's hand. WWF Teg Team Championship. The Ronin (Kensuke Sasaki & Hiroshi Hase)(c) vs Power & Glory (Paul Roma & Hercules) w/"Sensational" Sherri Martel by DQ when Herc is caught hitting Hase with his chain. The action continues with all four men fighting their way to the back. King's Court Match. Jerry "The King" Lawler defeats "The Golden Warrior" Kevin Von Erich(k) when a scuffle among the Courtiers allowed Lawler to retrieve a set of brass knuckles which he laid Von Erich out with before pinning him with a second rope fist drop. Texas Tornado Match. "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes & "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes defeated The Texas Outlaws (WWF Champion Terry Funk & Manny Fernandez). Dusty & Funk were honed in on each other the whole match and ended up brawling through the crowd. While Earl Hebner tried in vain to get them back in the ring, Black Bart snuck into the ring with Funk's branding iron and lined up a shot on Dustin only for The Natural to duck and Bart to take out Fernandez instead! Bart was stunned at his screwup allowing Dustin to take him out of the Ring with a lariat before pinning the still out cold Fernandez. Main Event. Golden Opportunity Battle Royal. Winner claims the #30 spot in the 1991 Royal Rumble. Participants: Berzerker, Kokina, Vader, Silver King, Nikolai Volkoff, Jake Roberts, Curtis Hughes, Nailz, One Man Gang, Earthquake, Tito Santana & The Ultimate Warrior Order of elimination. Kokina gets low bridged by Santana. Volkoff gets dogpiled by all three of Slick's men and tossed out. Hughes is muscled out by the Ultimate Warrior. Nailz and Roberts are double teaming Silver King but then Jake just shoves Nailz over dumping them both out. Berzerker goes for a running boot on Santana who ducks and the big man's momentum dens himself over the top. He catches himself on the apron but a dropkick from Santana sends him to the floor. Vader & Earthquake are pounding on each other near the ropes when OMG comes over and lift them both over. Ultimate Warrior tries to capitalize with a clothesline but OMG bulk keeps him grounded. A second one has the same result. Warrior gets a sprinting start and this time the Gang goes over but Warrior's momentum means he ends up following him out. Santana and Roberts have a pretty good mini match in the closing stretch but Santana makes the mistake of attempting a blackbody drop on the master of the DDT. A brief struggle to get Santana back on his feet is all it takes for Roberts to send him over the top. Winner and claiming the #30 spot in the 1991 Royal Rumble: Jake "The Snake" Roberts!

Alex Wright with the Sinister Minister? Not a pairing I would have thought about but it could work. PCW getting a Thrilling new trio.

It's so sweet of Jimmy Hart to set up a fundraiser for Honky's medical bills. I'm sure the donations will be pouring in. 😉 Consider me ready for the clash between Bull and Madusa. That's a loaded tournament whether or not Steiner holds onto his spot in it. After an incredible 1990 USWA is ready to make a climatic Last Stand.

Spivey decides the show can wait because he has something to say to Kerry. A decidedly unprofessional reaction in the inconclusive finish. Blanchard digs into Muraco's past to bring back Dundee. Payne didn't appreciate his concert getting cut short. Blaze fends off two me to get the win. Love the touch of Saito/Jumbo getting hype in Japan. Garvin & Slater aren't going to let a little thing like two busted hands keep them from going for the tag titles. I don't think the hanging had the desired effect on Jack. Sawyer & Link send a brutal message. Latin Desire even the score from last week. Morrow is starting to get on the Horsemen's bad side.

Originally airing 12/10/90 on HBO. Billy Jack Haynes takes on Bob Orton Jr in the opener. It's clear the Ace still has some fie in him but he can't escape the Full Nelson. Mean Gene informs the fans at home that for the rest of December WWF Prime Time will be recapping the highlights from 1990 including handing the year-end awards! A squash from Wrestling Challenge shows the Russian Pitbulls tearing into a pair of nobodies like a t-bone steak. Ivan shoos away the ref and insists on raising his men's hands himself. Black Bart & Dick Murdoch of the Texas Outlaws look to reassert themselves in the tag ranks and they tan the hides of a couple of goobers. Promo time with Mooney! Earthquake shout into the camera that it's just a matter of time before he flattens Jim Duggan and takes the WWF Intercontinental Championship back to Canada where it belongs.Bad News Brown says there;s some time left in December but he already knows what his New Year's resolution will be, come hell of high water in 1991 he WILL get his hands on Slick! Masahiro Chono nearly takes his opponents face off with the "Yakuza" kick. He may be a bad guy but there's a certain cool factor to him. A Chris Benoit interview from a recent episode of RAW is shown. He says teaming with his childhood hero was a dream come true until he realized that Dynamite Kid was just using him to do all the hard work while DK held onto his last bit of relevance. DK comes out and things get heated fast with security having to step in to prevent a fight from breaking out. Ranger Ross scores a win with the "Combat kick". Race says he's sticking with Luger, but with the man himself nowhere in sight. Love the idea for the best of 3 series featuring the Dangrous Alliance taking on all their various enemies ahead of Starrcade. Demolition and the Samoans prepare for the Final Brawl!

The show opens with Whitlock asserting his authority by reversing his decision from last week. Nice to see a ref do the right thing. Tasha disagrees and her fit leads to this weeks main event. Summers shows fans he can be a winner. Wild Dog puts everyone on notice. Some quick thinking by the pink Assassin gives PiP the win.

The new year is the perfect time to party.

Looks like PCW will be welcoming some Full Blooded Italians in the new year.

Agreeing with the others that is is a rad idea. I'd love to see what you could do with Terry Funk & Dusty Rhodes.

The Marc's show some nice fighting spirit. The Enforcers suffer the consequences of their actions. Los Guerreros projecting something fierce. Colon is back and he takes the hide off Debeers. Payne's debut concert is almost here. Canak looks strong but Hart says he's on borrowed time. Blanchard cries conspiracy but swears he has a way out. Hansen & Bundy exchange harsh words. Spivey just committed an assault that will be in AWA highlight reels for years. Sammartino tries to lift the crowds spirits. Nell sends a chilling warning to Cactus. No offense Lou but if you though Budro was gonna honor that promise, you get what's coming to ya. Hogan & Muraco send the crowd home happy by sending the Horsemen packing.

Originally airing 12/3/90 on HBO. Koko B Ware & Tom Zenk pair up in out opener. Good chemistry between them as they get the win. Berzerker ko's some fool then heavens him over the top for a countout win. No Fuji to be seen. Earthquake flattens some no-name, bellowing for Duggan the whole time. Jake Roberts gets some shine. Split screen promo says the key to success is knowing who to strike and when to do it an nobody know such things better than a snake. Kevin Von Erich calls out Jerry Lawler in a firery promo. Says that at SNME he'll knock the paper crown off Lawler's head and show him what a REAL King looks like. Silver King takes on Ivan Koloff. Ivan can't do too much but he gets heat like few others. Big pop for SK when he gets the win via moonsault. Chris Benoit taps someone out to the cross face. Much more aggressive than usual tonight. The Genius gets some TV time to warm him back up. Terry Funk is damn near frothing at the mouth as he rants and raves that coming back to the World Wrestling Federation is the biggest mistake "the fat man" ever made. THis week's feature Match sees Power & Glory go over the Bushwhackers as commentary tells us that they'll be challenging the Ronin for the WWF Tag Team Titles at SNME.

Luger does not need a beef with his manager when he's heading into a steel cage at Starrcade. The DA has a lot going on. Rude takes the US title but Muta's hot on his trail. Hennig sets his sights on Sting while Hall has to fend off Pillman. Plus it looks like Paul E has beef with JJ! Rockers look to reclaim the gold but can they withstand Doom? The giants will Collide at Starrcade! Barbarian may rue the day he messed with Nikita.

Pretty in Pink seems tailor made to get heat in small southern towns. Hot Body does not get a particularly warm reception.

Victoria. Thrillseekers are red hot. Lee's solo role continues. Vito pounces on a discourage Dreamer. PCO and his boys are constantly on lookout. Looks like the Collective's back to being a triangle. Barr's bad luck against the Peach Patrol continues. Rose's taunts end up costing him. Vancouver. Finlay may have to rethink his war on PCO & the Money Train. Sabu wins a frantic encounter. The Citadel proves they aren't to be overlooked. Regal & Malenko still can't determine who's the better man. Iron & Stell and Bret each show they deserve their gold. Kelowna. Hash's year ends on a high note. Scotty's slump leads into the new year. Zakowski shows once again why he's the Lion of the West Coast. A trio of successful title defenses close out PCW in 1990.

Two days of white hot action coming to the Mile High city. It's always amazing how you can make so many matches where they all mean something.

Chilling opening as the Horsemen take out their challengers. Golden's temper costs him the TV title shot. Equalizer sets his sights on the Missouri Tiger. Jackie & the Iceman leave Burke laying. The Bombers look to give Sawyer & Link a taste of their own medicine. Hart is convinced that Konnan is the star of the future. Spivey's sneak attack doesn't go to plan. Who will Blanchard choose to take out Muraco? The Idol's take the cheap trip to SuperClash. Top shelf promos from champion and challenger ahead of the rematch of the century.

JYD, Wildfire & the Boogie Woogie Man are just the trio to get the fans fired up. The Destruction Crew aren't wasting time putting themselves in the title picture. Taylor shows JJ that his vengeance shall be both swift and painful. Gotta hand it to Rotundo & York, Bull Nakano is one hell of an insurance policy. Neidhart scare the shit out of Hart (perhaps literally) on the way to beating Valentine. RnR show tons of heart but the Road Warriors just couldn't be stopped. The family feud may have just come to a firey climax. Love how you wrote the main event, Boss Man looks like a beast which makes Savage look like the MAN when he puts the Cobb County brute down.

This week's show is based on recapping the events of Survivor Series with a panel of Vince McMahon, Jesse Ventura, Lord Alfred Hayes & Gorilla Monsoon commenting on the various eliminations and how they could affect future championship matches. We also receive two big announcements for next months Saturday Night's Main Event. First due to his blindsided assault, Jerry "The King" Lawlwer will challenge Kvin Von Erich in a King's Court match. Secondly, all the other survivors in the various elimination matches, Berzerker, Kokina, Vader, Silver King, Nikolai Volkoff, Jake Roberts, Curtis Hughes, Nailz, One Man Gang, Earthquake, Tito Santana & The Ultimate Warrior -all of whom have been automatically entered into the Royal Rumble- will face off in a "Golden Opportunity" battle royal where the winner will earn the right to enter that match at #30!

Don't feel too bad about filling in the details for those two matches, you still put more info into this one card then I have the entire month. Being honest, Maeda v Karelin was the obvious final but that doesn't make it any less exciting.The Tokyo Dome is gonna be rocking come New Year's Eve.
