No fucking way this is true. Johnny logic # non withstanding.Think about it. Not talking those masks. But if you watched the crowds over the past few years you'd see tons and tons of Punk shirts and he'd come out with a new one every six months or so. I don't recall seeing 6 straight years of guys in the crowd in Jericho and Rey shirts. That being said, I couldn't believe how much they charged for those Rey masks when I would go to house shows.

I don't think he was thinking "protecting the boys" or "I won't job to Cesaro ". If he walked about the PPV money deal I doubt it was "I'm doing it for the boys". And I doubt he'd mind putting someone over, especially Cesaro.

BTW, if there's any truth to Punk getting pissed that they weren't giving any straight answers about how PPV payouts are gonna be effected by the Network and that being the straw that broke the camel's back, then I don't blame him. It takes a guy with "fuck you" money to take that stand.

You gotta figure that during his run, Punk kept coming out with new shirt design after new shirt design and his fans bought every single one. Add in that he's single with no kids and lives pretty simply, I'm sure he's mighty well off.

Punk probably sold more t shirts than Rey and Jericho combined.

I remember when they put him with Swagger and Zeb and folks were wringing their hands and gnashing their teeth about it. Turns out it was the best thing that could have happened for everyone involved. The Zeb / Swagger thing was dead in the water and Cesaro was going nowhere. They took the ball and ran with it and now the Real Americans have been over as fuck, Cesaro's about to burst out, and Swagger is interesting again. You know all the little things like the entrance, the matching jackets with nicknames on them, etc was stuff they came up with, or Dutch came up with, that the office said "Sure whatever" and it all helped and worked. And the big swing was the missing piece. Now that I think about it, I'd guess that being with Dutch constantly is why Cesaro has put it all together and ready to break out. Who better to learn from?

I think that double DQ , count outs , screw jobs, whatever you have aren't bad finishes on their own. It depends when they're used . Like I've said, Flair/ Nikita at Starrcade was a terrible finish because it was an amazing show where the main event ended like shit.
