Agreed, this is the best ROH promo and angle work over one storyline.

Reviews please. NWA Classics thread. Plenty of others without three reviews.

I thought Ross and Ventura were excellent for the 2/29/92 Windham/Rhodes vs. Austin/Zybisko at Superbrawl and for the amazing 1992 War Games. Maybe there was unused better potential but I thought in general they worked very well together.

El Bracero May be nominated by not positive: Johnny Saint Espanto Jr. Hans Schmidt Solar Rey Hechicero

Lots of fun, under the radar stuff in 2001. 2/7 Helms vs Hayashi (Thunder) 2/14 Noble/Karagious vs Styles/Paris (Thunder) 2/26 Cat/DDP/Booker vs. Luger/Bagwell/Steiner (Nitro)

Ishii vs. Shibata was everything wrong with pro wrestling today and the law of diminishing returns will eventually catch up to them. Haven't watched main event yet but my guess is the truth lies somewhere between ***** and "this is the worst match I have ever seen."

His early 98 WCWSN feud with Glacier and the late 98 match with Chip Mitton are way better than you would think. Worth seeing. Not going to push the guy over to 100 if you have seen the rest of his stuff but another reminder of how deep WCW was with talent and how they pissed it all away.

Goldberg vs. Flair in early 1999. Even as a face versus face, it would have been big on PPV. Instead we got an okay Nitro match in March. In Japan, Misawa vs. Hashimoto in NOAH. They had the Z-1 feud but never met in singles. Sakuraba vs. Tamura in their primes in either MMA (2001-2002 would have fit that) or Tamura vs. Sakuraba full length in UWFI or RINGS. The 3 short matches in UWFI are such a tease for what could have been amazing.

4/16/98 Overeem is a shoot 2/21/99 Overeem is a work

Not much to say that shoe didn't already cover. And just think, we have 2 more regular tags (in June I believe) between these teams and then their scaffold match in Houston (which I forget if it is on the DVDVR set or new). Morton's headscissors/lucha arm drag combination popped the crowd huge, both teams were so over that the high fives showdown at the beginning of the match garnered more heat than most modern matches. Just fantastic. This is the MX/RnR match from Watts that we have been waiting for (I think the 2-3 on the DVDVR set are well, well below this).

Magnum TA continues to show what a great prospect he was. On the baseball 20-80 scale, he was a 70 charisma, 50 technical ability, and 70 for promise. A top 2 level prospect for any promotion. And Hernandez worked his ass off here. I was expecting nothing and ended up with another super solid *** match from this great feud.

Market penetration. Apple, Google, and Amazon control that market with their exclusive content (and Amazon is barely hanging on). As long as Roku isn't able to provide exclusive content or sell their future boxes at an extraordinary low price, they will be forced out of the market. I have a Roku and I like it (though it is a distant fourth to the other 3 devices) but I just don't see lasting long term. Not trying to be a downer or snotty, but just what I see from the marketplace.

In the context of the 1996 yearbook, I thought the match was a little above average. But in the context of watching all of their other matches, it is below average. Does that make sense? Especially true when you watch Yearbook in order. The 1998 Kawada vs. Kobashi June match was phenomenal when viewing it in order and comparing to everything else going on in 1998. But stand alone, you can see it good, but not great as it appeared on the yearbook.

I disagree. Yes, we're all aware that you can hook an HDMI cord from your laptop to your TV. Very few people actually want to do that. "Casting" from the Chromecast is a buggy, slow mess at best. Getting on iOS and Apple TV - if possible - is a great idea, but not at the expense of Roku. In a perfect world, this service would be on Roku, Apple TV, PS3/4, Xbox 360/One, etc. - as many devices as possible. Roku won't be around in 10 years....may even be quicker.

Some strong Austin matches that aren't from the usual pack of good Austin stuff: 3/12/94 vs. Steamboat (WCWSN) - they are both on the same page and this isn't a carry job by Steamboat. Way better than their Clash match later in the year 11/16/98 vs. Rock (Raw) - before the terrible finish (Russo), an excellent TV match the night after Rock turned heel 3/28/99 vs. Rock (WrestleMania) 4/25/99 vs. Rock (Backlash) - pretty underrated matches

Wait until you get to the 9/87 Cage Match title switch. Hadn't seen that until this year and it is possibly a top 10 Crockett contender when the next DVDVR set is released.

This was very exciting in 2004 when the DVD's came over to the US. We hadn't seen much Santo on TV, but especially in matches against Blue Panther or another quality mat worker. Haven't watched this in 10 years but will give it a spin this weekend.

Really not trying to pick on you but trying to fit all wrestling into your perfect vision of what wrestling should be is an unproductive way to watch IMO. I'm a huge southern tag team wrestling fan and it's probably my favorite style. When I watch an FMW death match or a Dragon Gate trios, I'm not trying to pigeon hole those matches and like/not like them based on my preference for southern tag team matches. The 4/5/97 CMLL minis tag has a lot of arm work, especially for lucha. It's almost the lucha equiv of an Andersons match. Yet at the end of the day, it is still very clearly a lucha match and I would never try to sell it as anything but that.

And if you have a laptop with an HDMI port, buy a $5 HDMI cord and hook into TV. Or ChromeCast from tablet, laptop, or desktop. Not sure development of Roku app would be worthwhile anyway. Might be smarter to go with an iOS and/or Apple TV app

His 2004 CMLL work holds up very well, especially opposite LA PARK. Also think the GDI team holds up fairly well. His post-mask indy run has been super solid. Will have an outside shot in my 100.
