Forgot to mention the black barred cage (replacing the blue one) debuted in February 99 for the Vince/Austin match.

Love it, keeps the SMW feel and brings in the new faces slowly. I'm really curious about the Rock'n'Rolls vs Bodies match, if one team breaks up that's quite a massive move. Keep it up!

FMW Grand Slam, Night 2 September 16, 1995 in Nankoku, Kochi, Japan City Gym Crusher Maedomori & Shark Tsuchiya vs Megumi Kudo & Combat Toyoda Kudo and Toyoda have some miscommunication which leads to Shark pinning Kudo. Afterwards Kudo and Combat shook hands and Shark demanded a title match for later in the tour against Kudo. The flyers flew. La Parka danced and used the chair he brought well. There was a lot of weapons being thrown around. The Headhunters and Fuji/Oya eliminated each other and brawled all over the arena to the back, which left the final four of: La Parka, Super Leather, W*ING Kanemura, and Mitsuharu Matsunaga. Parka was the first to go as he missed a dive and Super Leather ducked. The remaining three got really bloody and Super Leather was the last man standing. Chigusa Nagayo vs Maymi Ozaki A traditional AJW style match which could had went either way. Nagayo did get the victory and she challenged whoever the WWF Women's Champion is to a match for the title on the final day of the tour. In this case the underdog, Hayabusa got the win with a Firebird Splash. FMW Grand Slam Brass Knuckles Championship Round Robin Tournament: Sabu [0] vs Terry Funk [2] Terry Funk came to the ring with Super Leather again. These two had their normal match like they did all over the American Indies. Although this one was more vicious. You have really captured the feel of ECW TV!

Indeed. I'm amazed. What has Chyna done apart from being a truly efficient gimmicky valet for a year or two before becoming an atrocious in-ring worker ? Did she move any kind of needle like Sable did during the Attitude Era, which would be the *only* semi-valid criteria to event have her approach the ballot ? She died.

These lists exposes the bullshit of voting for people still in their prime.

Super Smash Bros? Last year's Dusty tournament was fun, but we didn't get full matches most of the time which hurt it.
-
Dave has spent the day on twitter arguing with people that CWC should be up for best TV show and Dave insisting it's the same as the G1, so it's up for special event of the year. It's kind of funny.

Sounds fun. OVW type shows in Austrailia! Also, remember there is, in theory, promotions in England, Austrailia, Mexico, and smaller indies running as well where your folks are picking up dates. It's just those results are not widely distributed.

Holy shit that Tom Brandi vs Roadblock match was genius!
-
Naniwa vs La Parka??????? I think we can talk about Sasuke doing very very very well in this.
-
You can have him for that date! I can't wait for the write up on him!

What are your favorite "very good" (***1/2 - ****) matches?
Grimmas replied to Loss's topic in Pro Wrestling
The Ultimate Warriors vs The Hernan Family from Survivor Series 89 is mine. Maybe my most watched and favourite March ever! Tons of fun and great story telling. -
We have to talk about the Super J Cup! The first one was hugely successful in 1994, hosted by NJPW. The second one was to be hosted by WAR in December 1995. WAR has closed, so we have an issue here. I don't think NJPW or AJPW should get it. NJPW already hosted and if AJPW gets it that blocks out NJPW talent from being on the show. That leaves M-Pro, FMW, and UWFi. I would be happy to handle the egos and book every promotion, including American talent for the show. All I would ask is that two FMW talent are on the show and one of them goes to the Semi Finals. Of course I'm talking about La Parka going to the semi-finals and having one of my other guys (Nakagawa, Yasuraoka, or Nakajima) lose in the first round. Anyone else have a better offer?
-
Haven't had time to post about each promotion, but I did get to read everything up to date. Everybody is doing amazing! Loving the different strategies and types of writing styles and promotions. Keep up the wonderful work.

Why there can never be a universal standard

FMW Grand Slam, Night 1 September 14, 1995 in Maebashi, Gumma, Japan Maebashi Gym 1. Daisuke Ikdea vs Koji Nakagawa This was a mat heavy based match to showcase that FMW can incorporate that style as well. La Parka & Hanzo Nakajima vs Damian 666 & Yuji Yasuraoka This was a fun flying match to get the crowd going. La Parka came out dancing with a chair and did the La Parka shuffle in the ring, he hit some impressive spots throughout the contest. Damian 666 was more the base for La Parka and Nakajima, but also did an Atsushi Onita impersonation to the delight of the crowd. Nakajima and Yasuraoka did a variety of dives and flips. In the end Parka pinned Yasuraoka with a flying senton. Parka danced in the end and then laid out Damian 666 with a chair, busting him open. FMW Brass Knuckles Tag Team Titles Match: Ricky Fuji & Hisakatsu Oya [c] vs The Headhunters The Champions got destroyed most of the contest with huge moves by the monster team, inlcuding: power bombs, moonsaults, and choke slams. Hunters also used a barbed-wire baseball bat to bust Oya open. After a long face in peril segment, Oya made the hot tag to Fuji who went nuts hitting dropkicks and flying forearms. However Hunters were too strong and laid out Fuji as well. Finally Headhunter B & A both went to the top rope for a double flying headbutt, but Fuji grabbed the barbed wire bat and moved and nailed A with it on his way down and picked up the surprise win with a roll up. It did. Born 78, first UFC 93. Come on. You know clearly what he meant, not him at 15 seeing UFC in its first run. UFC after the rule changes being on Spike and such, where you could make a living and showmanship was involved more.

Make sure there is no symbols in the title, that always messes me up.
-
That's way better than skipping weeks altogether. Really appreciate that.

I agree with Johnny, so it must be true!

They split the rosters. Each show has a women's division, why would each show not have a women's title? Because it makes each title look less important, and the women are the last who need that after the infamous "diva revolution". Of course it's stupid, but you acted surprised. They did the same shit last time, they already created a second World (universal) title for Raw. It's what they do

I really hope GM Daniel Bryan calls his good friend Brian Kendrick to come on the show and fill time with a match.

First Revolution Pro show is up, I hope you all enjoy!
