He's not tall enough to reach the tag rope.
WWE really did bribe the hell out of the athletic commission.
Serious question, are pro-wrestling events still under state commission authorities these days?
In Louisiana they are. Before the weekend they tried to put the hammer on the smaller (i.e. non-WWE and non-ROH) shows by banning stuff like the piledriver. At the Joey Janella show they made fun of that by having a wrestler hit a piledriver on "the Invisible Man" (it is what you expect by that name) and getting DQed and thrown out the building for that.
During this match I had my mind wandering. Some thoughts I had:
- It would have been awesome if they Styles the Balor LGBT-inclusion entry.
- They should split Wrestlemania into two 4 hour shows instead of one 7 hour show, one on Saturday, one on Sunday. The way everything is set up now it should be no problem and be profitable enough. Either that or stop trying to put everyone on the roster on the show.
Cole had a great line last Raw. Graves was trying to make a point that Miz returning to in-ring action after a couple of weeks off might actually be good for him and Cole answered: "Coach was off 10 years and still is awful." (I think it was Cole and Graves in that order, might misremembering it a bit)
5 matches, Lesnar vs. Reigns, AJ vs. Nakamura, Bliss vs. Jax, DB & Shane vs. KO & Sami and Cesaro & Sheamus vs. Braun & X.
Jesus.
They will get close to 12 AM ET, they have blocked as much time in the Network schedule.
Going 3 minutes instead of 23 minutes helps.
Everything about this was awesome, until the bell rang, that is. I loved Elias teasing The House of the Rising Sun and not delivering.
Tell Rousey to stay away from the WWE make-up department. If bad booking won't kill her (and it did NOT do tonight) then that will. Though Angle's left eye in the end looked disgusting too.
It is That Indian Guy. Respect my brand, damnit.
Exactly what one French announcer said. Clearly early.
Makes me wish I had paid more attention in French class. (I will never switch to German audio either as long as Carsten Schaefer is announcing. At least I can mentally turn off the horrible English commentary.)
By the way: please call up Percy Watson and replace Coach with him. Coach has to be the worst WWE commentator ever, and that covers A LOT OF ground.
5-10 years ago everyone was going for the Chinese market, now it's the Indian market because lot's of management people get boners just thinking about 1 billion+ potential customers (or, looking at it from a stock market point-of-view, product), not having any idea about the cultural or economical situations in that countries.
Haha, they still opened the show with a PPV disclaimer stating that you can only legally watch the show if you payed a fee to a "cable company or similar entity" (or something like that) after pushing for two hours how the show is free (for new subscribers, that is).
205 Live is continuing to be a dumpster fire. Getting called up to 205 Live has to be like getting stuck in purgatory. You will wrestle in front of dead crowds after Smackdown or get throwaway matches at PPV pre-shows. The best you can hope for is getting a match at a piss-break Raw spot.
I wasn't even aware that she is still under contract.
Regarding Travis Browne: he is a UFC heavyweight fighter who at one point was pretty close to the title. Biggest wins are against Overeem, Gonzaga, Struve and Barnett. Though he has lost the last four fights straight and might be retired now. He was under investigation for domestic violence a couple of years back.
