Plus Flair and Rick Rude tussle over the NWA World title, Ricky Steamboat puts on a wrestling clinic with Lord Steven Regal, The Nasty Boyz find a way to make the Horsemen have a bad match, and the rest of the card is filled with crappy gimmicks and cruddy wrestlers! Like a car wreck, you don't want to stare, but can't look away!

  5. http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/wrestlings-best-worst-and-wackiest-music-videos-of-all-time/#.VS0IIvnF_rE I compiled a list of my favorite pro wrestling music videos, often sung by the wrestlers themselves. I definitely left some classics off the list (Badstreet USA) but it was a fun exercise. So what makes your personal list?
  6. That Afa/Murdoch got mixed reviews when it popped up last year on the network. I loved it. --- http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/wcw-beach-blast-93/#.VSjJvvnF_rE Sting and the Bulldog collide with Vader and Sid, Ric Flair battles Barry Windham, The Horsemen attempt to slay the Hollywood Blonds, Dustin Rhodes goes 30 minutes with Rick Rude, and other action as WCW burns nearly to the ground in the wake of creative diarrhea being presented on a weekly basis.
  7. http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/kayfabe-lies-and-alibis-terry-taylor-shoot-interview/#.VSjJwPnF_rE Terry Taylor covers breaking in to the biz, his in ring career, learning booking from Eddie Graham, working the tough UWF schedule, booking for Watts, WCW, and WWF and much more!!
  8. http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/kayfabe-lies-and-alibis-shoot-interview-with-jerry-jarrett/#.VR00YvnF_rE Jerry Jarrett covers booking the gravy days of Memphis, helping WWF and WCW with booking plans, why TNA is failing, how he would have saved WCW, who the best bookers ever were and much more!
  9. I'm a bit surprised this is loved so much. It's executed technically well, but Scorpio was a tag worker with no chance of winning here, which takes some luster off the match. Then Windham dominates, cutting off any comeback attempts Scorp even considers, while the announcers bury 2 Cold for not being able to get anything off. This felt like a 93 123 Kid match w/o the plucky surprise win,

  12. Who were the businessmen watching in the crowd that Larry and Tony mentioned several times?
  13. http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/andrew-lutzke-books-hulk-hogan-turns-heel-in-1993/ A look at how different the wrestling world would have looked had Hulk Hogan gone rogue in 1993 and turned his back on the Hulkamaniacs while still in the WWF. How does Hogan handle The Kliq? The rise of DX and Steve Austin as anti-heroes? Celebrities coming in to mingle with the superstars? WCW's talent raids? Can he and Macho Man settle things once and for all? Where does Bret Hart, Lex Luger and Yokozuna fit in all this? All those answers and more within!
  14. http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/wcw-superbrawl-3/#.VP74y_nF-So An amazing night of action sees a bloody Sting/Vader clash with a strap tying them together, A high flying battle between 2 Cold Scorpio and Chris Benoit, A war of attrition between Barry Windham and The Great Muta, Classic tag team action between The Rock and Roll Express and the Heavenly Bodies, Mick Foley taking some of the sickest bumps of his career during a Falls Count Anywhere brawl with Mr. Wonderful, the apex of the Erik Watts backlash, plus Bill Watts gets fired for inflammatory comments and much more!!
  15. This was an excellent match obviously. Scorpio liked to add extra flips and twirls to his moves to try and stand out and sometimes that made for some botchamania spots, but he held it together fairly well here. Of course neither guy gets much of a push after this great effort.
  16. Windham was getting a little paunchy by this point. Did New Japan show these shitty Muta efforts on their TV?
  17. After their two previous amazing one on one efforts on PPV, I was fearful that the strap stip would limit these two, instead the violence level was upped and an incredible PPV had one of the best main events possible.

  22. I was stunned that Pillman lost, as I figured the heel would win to build to Steamer/Douglas vs, Blonds matches.

  25. Maybe Bob should have been attacked since his son couldn't defend the title. IIRC he was interviewed at the Legend's party right before Brad's bit popped up.
